Kahani mein twist ... so Mala did not exactly walk out ... she did decide to leave, but with Rudra, as she said ... and Dilsher threw her out. And he didn't allow her to take Rudra.
I had written an FF years ago on Samrat Gunjan, where Samrat hates his mother for leaving him ... and the same thing had happened there ... his mom was actually thrown out, Interesting to see some similarities here!

The most interesting scene today was Dilsher's flashbacks ... the start of the actual Mala story, which we were all waiting for.
I hope that Dilsher has asked Paro to bring Mala home, and Paro has not done it of her own accord.
Rudra obviously has only got a very, very skewered version of the facts ... he really needs to know the whole story ... not just from Mala, as Paro told him, but also from Dilsher. Both of them need to sit down and tell him the truth.
Dilsher is definitely as responsible as Mala for the way Rudra turned out, even more so ... not only did he prevent Mala from taking Rudra with her, but he also then proceeded to poison Rudra's mind against Mala for fifteen long years. Wonder if Danveer knows the entire truth, and that's why he stayed in touch with Mala for so long.
It also seems at first glance that Mala did not run away to be with Tejawat, but she met him after she left the Ranawat haveli ... Teju gave her shelter, and probably fell in love with her along the way ... as much as he could love anyone apart from himself, of course.
The PaRud scene was sweet ... love the way Paro got Rudra to eat a couple of mouthfuls ... she should have kept her mouth shut about asking him to listen to her, though ... the man just doesn't want to hear it yet. But it was good that she reiterated that she was on his side always ... he needs to hear it, even though like a child, he stubbornly believes that being on his side means agreeing to everything he says. It doesn't ... he will figure that out eventually. Rudra still has a lot of growing up to do ... any sight or sound or mention of his mother, and he turns into a twelve year old again, with the same IQ to boot. He did not even notice that Dilsher's only question to him was ... 'how is she?' Well, he's sozzled, so excused for the moment ... let's see what happens tomorrow. But if he stops to think about it, he might realise there is more to the story than he knows.
Another intriguing thing ... Dilsher and Danveer both hid from Mohini that Mala was back ...
Mohini Samrat ... have a feeling Mohini will try to get Samrat married again ... Maithili is becoming far too influential in the house for Mohini's liking. Again an insight into Mohini's character ... she wants complete control. Which again begs the question ... what was her role in the Mala Dilsher breakup?

Dia - thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I did not blame Mala without hearing the whole story. So easy to do that when it's not your own mother;)
Great - now after Rudra hears the real story - he gets to rant some more at "Ranavat". So sad that this ruin was caused by a disgruntled man (who probably felt abandoned and inadequate). Unfortunately he poisoned his son's mind and ruined his life. Did he ever stop to think that what he was doing was not right? But let's wait to hear his side as well. Maybe the ultimate culprit is KCM.
KCM planning to get Samrat re-married to ruin Maithili's life? What will this woman stop at? She'll get away with murder - wait she did!!! :) Even though I really really do not want Laila back - I want her back as Sumer wife - just to make KCM's life miserable! Oh No! Now I am getting as bad as KCM and Dilsher - what has this serial done to me :-o
This serial is so negative - no wonder the TRPs are low - who wants to spare 30mins being depressed and miserable (other than me;)
I have not seen the episode yet - still at work - so grateful to you Dia for posting an update!
dia,
ReplyDeletefirstly thnx for bringing the blog back to normal with the daily posts.
*the epi was sort of OK,ashish was rather good in his scene with mala and the last scene with paro.
*the flashback bit was actually much interesting.so dilsher actually threw mala out??that leaves me with some qns[will post it towards the end of this post].would love to see more flashback scenes BUT DEFINITELY NOT AT THE COST OF PARUD SCENES.
*the precap definitely did not impress me.so are they rushing tracks again?i dont want to jump to any conclusions, but it mostly looks like the great paro baisa took it all upon herself to reunite her estranged saas with her family.wah,CVS wah,
and, here comes my qns for the day.
*so CVs,u thought turning paro baisa into gopi bahu/sandhya bindni/akshara will fetch you TRPs? in that case, they are forgetting that they are seriously butchering her character and the screenplay is already in such a way that general audience find it easier to sympathise with rudra and his POV.seriously guys,WHAT ARE YOU UPTO?
*it seems pretty clear that kaakisa is the ultimate culprit.but how long will rudra take to realise it?
*paro is forgetting that in her quest of reuniting mala and rudra, she is unknowingly driving a wedge in rudra and hers relation the most.declaring every sec that she is with rudra is not enough.
''saath hone ki daava dena aasan hai, lekin saath dekar dikhana zyada zaroori hain''
*standing by rudra is much more imp right now.i had watched today's SBB seg after today's epi and in that one dialogue of rudra shows the fact
*he mentions that 'for paro also, their relation would be as delicate as a dhaaga and it'll be easy for her to leave like mala and that's why she's supporting mala'
SEE WHERE HE HAS REACHED! AND,I HAVE TO ASK,KISKI WAJAH SE?
[cvs,are u listening??]
*and, now,i think it'd be foolish to expect any good parud scene this week.isn't it?
@archana,
''This serial is so negative - no wonder the TRPs are low - who wants to spare 30mins being depressed and miserable (other than me;)''
EXACTLY WHAT I HAD BEEN SAYING FOR WEEKS AND EXACTLY WHAT A NORMAL VIEWER WOULD BE THINKING.
but,i think its high time we forget abt TRP rant and enjoy the show rather than looking at the TRP chart and feeling miserable every week.
*the only positive aspect of mala's entry would be that mohini kaaki's attention will get diverted from the quite-apparent 'samrat-ki-shaadi' idea!
and yes,we were spared from laila baisa today *wow*
waiting for ur reply,dia.
ratna.
Ratna - I am not worried about the TRPs and I do like the story. But since the very beginning all we get is one calamity after another. No relief at all. The leads are newly wed - and are now attracted to each other. Have we seen any romance (other than the Jaipur track)? Forget romance, why not show some family fun interactions? Do they have to go from one drama to another as each day goes by? They don't even give the leads time to wipe their eyes;) Seriously what is the rush? I am good with the story but the rush from one dramatic event to another is leaving me breathless (and not in a way I would like;)
DeleteIPK had drama too- but the pace was slower. We got to enjoy happy, fun events with the entire cast. The entire Mumbai track had Paro sobbing all the way. Newly weds away from family intrusions - kuch to romance banta hain na? I think the effect of the twists in the story would be better if the pace was slower.
Agree with both of you ... we really need a few light moments, some softness and romance in between tracks, but the makers just don't seem to get it! They rush from one track to the next, and the mother track should be almost the last track for Rudra to recover from his demons, so it really seems this is the last throw of the dice. If the TRPs don't improve now, RR will wrap up by September, or by December as soon as the one year contract is over.
DeleteRatna, I don't blame Paro for standing up to Rudra and urging him to listen to his mother. She isn't asking him to forgive Mala, just to give her a hearing. And Rudra needs to hear that ... she has been very understanding, but he has not shown the same understanding of Paro, he just doesn't get it that if she doesn't agree with his every word, it doesn't mean she doesn't love him. He is behaving like a child here. My only issue is that Paro needs to take things slowly, let him get used to mala's return, and come to terms with it, before she asks him to listen to her story. Unless and until Rudra listens to Mala, gets an idea of the whole picture ... and hears Dilsher's whole truth as well ... he will never get over his mother's so-called desertion. For the moment, he is just wallowing in self pity ... poor me, my mother ran away, she left me alone to face all the taunts and troubles ... Has he even looked at her and seen that she is also in trouble? How can he be so self centred? He needs to grow up ... but like I said, he needs time to come to terms with Mala's return before he can start thinking straight. Right now he is just behaving like the twelve year old child he was when she left, and bringing out all his bhadaas, all those unanswered questions, all his anger and pain at how abandoned and lost he felt. And that is why Mala is quiet, only listening and not trying to justify herself, she is belatedly realising the damage he has undergone. Maybe she has no idea yet about Dilsher's role in it ... but Dilsher also played a major role in the damage done to Rudra ... Even more than Mala, because Dilsher fed Rudra with the poison about Mala and how she abandoned them, how she was not to be trusted and all that rubbish.
DeleteDia, wow you are back!! Hope you had good time and enjoyed your holidays. It’s always good to read your post after an Episode. How I missed your posts. Thanks for doing it.
ReplyDeleteI liked today's episode. So Mala's story is slowly unfolding. I just want CV's to take their sweet time for this track. It has high potential. I'm eagerly looking forward Mala- Dilsher scene. Dia I too hope Paro didn't bring Mala on her own. Pre caps are always misleading. So don't want to comment on Paro today.
Read all the posts in the previous thread. Good discussions about TRP which I'm completely clueless. It was very informative. My two cents...
I think, SP has good reach when compared to other rival channels. it's one of the main reason for them doing well in almost all slots ( Fictional shows). Few days back Read that Reliance is going to control Network 18. Colors is one among the channels that comes under it. So if big players are going to come in, then their first target will be to reach as many as possible. It may help Colors in a way. But I can't understand what content will make general audience to sit before TV. Because the shows which are doing well in TRPs never interested me. So don’t want to comment on contents of the high TRP shows. IMO, the reach of the channel, a family sit com, positivity & simple stories with strong FL (no dark or complex characters) are doing well in TRPs as of now. But channels should try different concepts and the system should support it. I’m sure internet era will definitely knock the doors of the age old concepts to go for a change. Changes are always permanent.
Su, I’m glad to read your posts. Do come here regularly. Wanted to tell you, I never followed QH, but I liked the one you had posted after season 1 in one of the previous thread. I know QH first season ended in tragedy. But that post was written so well, that even tragedy looked very meaningful from characters pov.
P.S Dia bookmarked the link of your FF. Will check and let you know after some time.
Welcome back Dia! Hope you had a wonderful holiday but we really did miss your posts here.
ReplyDeleteThe way this serial is unfolding, it is beginning to sound more and more like " Mohini's comeuppance". Hope Samrat grows a spine and puts his Mother's remarriage plans in the bin!
Also glad to see that with Ashish's participation in JDJ, rest of the cast being utilized and parallel tracks being built up. Always a silver lining!
Or will they substitute Sumer for Samrat at the mandap, thus paving the way for Sumer's re-entry into the haveli? Laila teams up with Tejawat for.......God know what......? I do hope they rehabilitate Tejawat's character - a worthy villain or two really is needed for a good story, sniff, sniff!
DeleteI want Teju back too! He made the story different ... Ananda is a good actress, but she makes the show all about kitchen politics!
DeleteAnanya, not ananda :) stupid auto correct!
