17/6 - Epi 123 ... Time To Stop Running

Tuesday 17th June

Yesterday Sumer told Mohini  ... decide whether you're staying or going .. today Paro told Mala the same thing ... decide about coming back, and this time, come back only if you're not going to run away again. You hurt Rudra enough once, don't do it again and again.

Mala made some cryptic remarks about it taking two people to make a marriage work ... but Paro was unexpectedly firm today, basically told her to stop making excuses and get her act together.

Also liked the firm Paro earlier in the episode, who told Rudra he was running away again ... he needed to stop. Since cajoling and pleading hasn't worked, Paro decided to act firm nanny, lock both mother and son into a single room ... or single car ... and force them to talk it out. She's had enough ... both of them need to stop running.

The episode - of course Rudra traced Mala ... or rather, got his BSD force to trace her ... along with some rather telling flashbacks of Paro telling him to stop running ... and Mala telling young Rudra she could never be angry with him ...
So he finds Mala ... and then hunts for Paro ... takes her to the place ... and tells her to go with him ... because he can't do this alone.
That was sweet ... poignant, touching and heartwarming ... how far Rudra and Paro have come ... she is his strength, and he has no qualms saying it ... no hesitation admitting it.
And as always, he is her strength ... emboldened by his complete trust in her, Paro takes the bull by the horns, and pushes Laila aside, to talk to Mala. To ask the questions Rudra has bottled up inside him, has been aching to ask ... and not daring to. Today Paro forgot it wasn't her right or her place to ask Mala those questions ... Rudra needed those answers, and she was going to make sure he got them. Enough of being Mrs Nice Bahu ... today she was only Mrs Angry Rudra.

Laila is furious at being sidelined ... she tries again to get into Rudra's good books, by telling him how badly his mother was being treated, and how she saved her. Rudra isn't interested. All he's interested in is Paro ... he's sure his mother won't come back ... wait, she's coming back? Okay, even if she comes back, he's sure she'll only run away again.

But she doesn't. She actually tries to talk ... she cuts short Paro's cheerful, determined blabbering, to finally get to the point ... and tries to tell Rudra some part of the truth ...  yes, she ran away, but she wanted to take him with her ... she called Danveer everyday to ask about him ...

Rudra has heard enough.
No, you haven't, Rudra ... not nearly enough, I'm guessing.

Stretching the track now ... Mala running away, Paro hunting for her, Rudra finding her, PaRud going to get her again ... Mala comes back ... when is she going to talk?!
Finally she started ... will she get the whole story out this time?

From a raging Rudra, how did we reach a sulking Rudra and grateful Paro, don't know ... don't care. Sherni Paro ... kisses her man. Whattay precap!!!
Okay, mommy is home ... so Paro can stop being mom ... and can become wife instead. :)))

  1. Dia - thank you for posting. From what you have written - it sounds like a good episode. Am loving the sound of it. You have a way of putting a positive spin on every episode. Looking forward to seeing it. Will be back after I do.

  2. Yes, Mommy is home.........but please CVs, this time give her the guest bedroom!!! Parud's room is neither Grand Central Station nor the neighbourhood inn where everyone takes shelter and poor Maithli has to be called in for rescue.

Enjoyed the epi and your update Dia - especially the way Laila was put in place firmly by Paro and Rudra................ooohhhh......sakht mirchi lagi.....wait until she sees the mangalsutra in Paro's neck.......ouuccccccccccchhhhhh! That should be the final impetus Laila needs to spring into action.....

    1. Aki, no such luck ... tomorrow's romance will happen in the courtyard again ... unless Rudra has organised this surprise also with his Maithili bhabhi :)))

They NEED their room back now ... doesn't the haveli have any guest bedrooms? Maala can share with Sunehri if necessary, for petes' sakes! Leave the newly married couple alone!

It was a good episode, Aki ... Paro was the star! She was firm with both Rudra and Mala ... especially with Mala. And Rudra admitted he can't do without her ... loved that bit!

    2. Hello everyone. As usual, lovely update Dia. And the episode was equally good. Especially the precap. :D :D So, Rudra is going to get some of his questions answered in tomorrow's episode, thanks to Paro baisa. She was brilliant today. I think Paro and Mala have similar characters. Except that Paro became bold, after she clashed heads on with Rudra. I am not going to repeat what Dia has beautifully explained about Paro and Rudra becoming one another's strength. Back to the mommy track..... we have already heard the preface to Mala's version of events, i.e. Mohini's sob story. Where it all started. Would love to hear Dilsher and Danveer's versions too.

Both husband and wife are earning the wrath of Laila. First, Paro hardly acknowledeges her and then Rudra is not willing to listen to her. Like Aki said, the mangalsutra would be the snapping point for Laila. Till now, she has been having some hope to get Rudra back. But she is going to lose that pretty soon. For the first time, I felt sorry for Ankita (not Laila). The CVs have done a good job on almost all the characters of Rangrasiya. Paro, Rudra, Singh sir, Aman, Tejawat, the Ranawat family except Laila. Samrat doesn't get many dialogues. But I think the CVs have deliberately made him look like a spineless fellow. He will definitely burst out one fine day in his wife's defense. But Laila's character has not been conceptualized clearly. She loves Rudra, that is clear. Everything else about her is ambiguous. Her desire to see the old jallad like Rudra. Her jealousy on Rudra-Paro relationship is justifiable, but her character has been sidelined greatly. This would have been done considering the sensitivity of the audience, but she is an important part of Rudra's history. Ignoring her doesn't really go well with the story. Anyways.... just felt a little sorry for Ankita. I have seen her in a couple of episodes from Baat Humari Pakki hain. She was ok. The serial didn't make a big impression on me though.

Today, I went through some of the posts in IF. Just out of curiosity. Oh man.... I was dumb-founded. Too many posts for a single episode!!!! Some of them literally cracked me up. Read an article about Mohini's character. Didn't justify or criticize her. Just like a write up. But it was amazing. But too many POVs could be very confusing. And the CVs have always done the exact opposite of what we think or expect. Now that there is some progress in the mommy track, I get a feeling that it might be wrapped up by June and Mala would once again become a permanent resident of the haveli. And what next is the big question.

Would like to share or rather ask a couple of things. I saw a lot of posts about the imminent consummation of Paro-Rudra. Are the CVs planning to use it as a trump card for TRPs? I believe this question has been asked in IF and other forums too. And the second thing is about the channel. In one of the IF posts, someone had mentioned that the TRPs would have been good enough, had the show been aired by some popular channel. This was what I mentioned last week, in one of my posts. And this show is not at all bad. There were some goof ups after the Shiv rathri wedding track. But the inconsistencies in the narration happened in a bid to gain better TRPs. Come on people.... you call this a negative show??? I used to watch a show in which the hero's sister had to undergo two abortions because she was carrying a girl child. And she was ill-treated by her husband and in-laws. I became so damn frustrated that I stopped watching it altogether. Phew.... enough of my ranting... Please do comment on my comment. And why is the blog so shaant these days? Especially during a track like this.

  3. Hi Dia
Brilliant update as usual. Always look forward to reading your take.
I am loving this Paro. She is brimming with the confidence that Rudra is giving her by telling her in his own way how much he needs and wants her with him by his side no matter what they have to face. Rudra may refuse at first to what she asks but he knows that she makes sense and his trust is with her which is a major step forward for him. He believes in Paro and knows that she will not let him down.
It's all going to hit the fan when Mala turns up again and this time with her son.
Looking forward to a little bit more romance between Rudra and Paro, taking a few more tiny steps forward in their relationship, to counteract the negativity.
Thank you again Dia for your updates, love reading them everyday.
    Take care
    Lin

    1. Good episode. Paro did an awesome job dealing with Rudra, Laila and Mala. Highlight of the episode for me was Rudra's open admission to Paro that he needs her to confront Mala. I also like how Paro keeps pushing Rudra to stop running away and admit that his maasa means a lot to him. And she's beginning to get through to him. How did Mala reach Laila and that too so far away across the desert? Laila was pathetic :( Thank goodness Mala has started talking. At least she's trying to break the barrier between Rudra and herself. I want to see Mohini's face when Rudra walks in with Mala. More drama and crocodile tears!
These newly weds have no privacy at all. Poor Paro had to check if anyone was around before landing a peck on hubby's cheek. And then Aangan mein romance - seriously?
