Rangrasiya ... 2nd - 6th June - Epi 112 - 116

112 - Monday 2nd June ... Making the Break
Laila-Tejawat ... Ankita seems to be settling into Laila a  little more, or maybe I'm getting used to her OTT acting. Am interested in seeing what she comes up with. The major flaw in her plan is that she feels Rudra will fall over himself in gratitude to her for getting his mother back, she doesn't know that he already knows she's with Tejawat, and is even less ready to forgive her.
Paro-Rudra ...Again beautiful scenes ... Sanaya's acting was fabulous as Paro grapples with the dread of leaving Rudra forever ... Ashish was great today as Rudra puzzles over Paro's subdued behaviour, and then goes to buy her bangles to cheer her up. Rudra's character has been drawn beautifully ... can't help loving the guy for his silent, fierce adoration of Paro.
Rudra's angst and anguish as Maithili tells him about Paro's vow and the last scene ... Paro trying to get the courage to make that final break ... Rudra stopping her ... Wow!!!

113 - Tuesday 3rd June ... Love Binds, Love Frees
Rudra - Love is a binding force, it holds people together. Love is selfish, it seeks to hold on to the person you love. So how can Paro love him and leave him?
Paro - Love sets you free ... love is unselfish, it asks for nothing except the happiness and the life of the one you love. She prayed to Bholenath for Rudra's life, even if the price was her own life and happiness. For her life, her happiness is only Rudra.

What Paro and Rudra didn't bargain for was that Rudra's life is Paro, his happiness is only with Paro. So when Paro prayed for Rudra's life, Bholenath actually granted her her own life, her own happiness. Without Paro, Rudra cannot exist. So Paro has to stay with Rudra if she wants his life.
Bholenath found a way for Paro to fulfil her vow, and yet stay with Rudra. The only thing Rudra has to do, is to accept that Paro is his life. He is hers.

Rudra's eighth and final vow broken.

114 - Wednesday 4th June ... She Gave him Up to Her God, He wrested Her Back from Her God
She gave him up to Bholenath to save his life, he argued with the same God to bring her back ... if she was his life, how could he still live if she left him? Her mannat was to save his life, his was to keep his life with him. Bholenath had no choice but to give in to Rudra!
Nicely done, cvs! Despite being filmy, the scene was well executed. Both Sanaya and Ashish were fabulous.
Paro's scream when she thought Rudra had come under the train, was really chilling ... Sanaya was simply fantastic in that scene! The hug was sweet, but too short.
Loved the entire PaRud scene ... found myself holding my breath even on second watch.

Dia's note ... just how long did that train take to come into the station?!

Aww scene ... Paro asking Rudra ... what about our luggage, did you inform Jija ... and when will you leave my hand? Paro of course, is thrilled to bits that he's holding on to her as though he will never let her go.
And Rudra's look into her eyes as he says softly, yet firmly ... never. Haayyyee!!!

So Paro knows now without a shadow of doubt that she is Rudra, and he is hers. The man just declared he can't live without, her, and more importantly, he doesn't want to. And he made her promise she would never leave him. Paro, the orphan, has found a place of her own, a husband, a home and a family she belongs to.

Other very sweet scenes -
Danveer thanking Paro for making a stone into a human.
Rudra touching Maithili's feet as a mark of respect ... she has truly been the wise elder in the family, a far worthier matriarch than Mohini.
Dilsher-Rudra scene ... and the continuation, as Dilsher walks off chatting amicably with Paro, wanting to know all about her trip. A warm, comfortable, father-daughter relationship ...
Rudra asking Maithili about buying a mangalsutra for Paro ... about time! Paro has bridged more than one relationship for Rudra ... she has brought him into his whole family.

Maithili confronting Mohini - I know my husband is your son, but stop insulting him in front of outsiders.
Mohini is fast losing her grip on her entire family ... as Maithili and Paro's influence increases, and the family, torn apart and fragmented for the last fifteen years, starts slowly, painfully, coming back together.

What will happen when Mala, the cause for the disintegration of the family, makes a come back into their lives?

115 - Thursday 5th June ... Practice Makes Perfect

Or so Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat seems to feel ... especially when it comes to the very unique ... and rather uncomfortable ... situation he finds himself in ... declaring his love for the woman he loves. So he makes sure to get the set up all right ... organise mangal sutra - check ... organise efficient supportive bhabhisa to deliver lady love to his office in the evening, where he can propose his love to her at the place where their story began ... check.
Major Saab has a romantic streak in him, it seems!

And it seems he hit pay dirt, because his beloved wife is struggling with the red thread that passes for the mangalsutra he's planning to replace it with ... talk about timing! So he ties the thread for her ... making her all flustered and breathless in the process ... she escapes his proximity, but apparently not because she is repulsed ... quite the reverse ... she's not ready for him to leave for office, she actually displays very wifely petulance at the statement that he's going to office with her Jija ... why Jija? Why office, you have a holiday? Wait, stop ... do this, do that ... do ... uh uh, I forgot ... and when you get so close, I can't think, let alone remember ...

Yep, time to take their relationship forward ... he just declared that he can't live without her, made her promise that she will never leave him as long as they live ... he is secure in his woman's love finally, and ready to say so.

But not so easy to say so, after all ... so he practices ... while watching Paro through a one way glass, which mysteriously reversed its position .. blooper alert!!! How he was running all his life, how she chased him, ran after him, and finally made him stop running ... how sweet this defeat is ... and how much he ... loves ... her.
There ... he said it!
Rehearsal over ... time for the real act.

So he tries again, this time for real ... problem is, the dratted girl keeps interrupting and throwing him off his practiced speech with her loving concern ... are you all right? You're sweating ... sit down ... have some water ...
Of course he's sweating ... he's never done this before!
So he tries again ... much more unpolished and stuttered ... tells her to keep quiet ... wrong move, she sulks, so he has to cajole her first, before starting off again ...
And finally gets to the point about leaving the shadows of his past behind ... and moving forward ...
And the last, darkest shadow of his past appears ... and casts its shadow between Rudra and Paro again.

Mala. His mother.

Ignoring the rest of the episode, the Mohini-Sumer scene ... and the editing bloopers, and the shoddy camera work. Don't know whose idea it was to keep that silly lamp in the picture in the BSD office ... it was most distracting. Also the Major's speech got too long ... especially as he repeated most of it ... I was waiting for him to get to the point!
Loved the first PaRud scene ... the dhaaga tying ... loved Sanaya's loose hair in that, wish they would keep it that way more often, especially in the bedroom scenes at home. She looks so young and utterly lovely with her hair flying around her face. The PaRud chemistry was spot on in that scene. And loved the way Paro shows sparks of jealousy as she tries to delay Rudra leaving ... and her candid admission that she can't think if he gets too close ... cute!

Loved the nervous stammering Rudra as he tries to propose for real ... the mix of roughness and softness was very good. Ashish did very well in that scene.

116 - Friday 6th June ... Shadow of the Past

Beautiful episode from start to finish ... I loved all the characters. All were very much in character ... except that Mala is looking more and more clueless ... did she really not realise what her disappearance could have done to Rudra?
Waiting to hear Mala's back story ... from what we have now, she went off one fine day, apparently she and Dilsher had a troubled marriage, but she adored her Rudra. Were the troubles in their marriage fomented by Mohini? Possible.
So she went off one day ... returned after a month for Rudra ... so did she go off without any place to go, hence she went without Rudra? And when she came back, it was after she had met Tejawat and he gave her shelter?
So she returned for her son ... only to find that Dilsher had disappeared with him, and Danveer didn't know their whereabouts ... she kept in touch with Danveer, but he also did not know where Dilsher and Rudra were for fifteen years. And when Rudra returned, Danveer informed Mala ... she wanted to meet Rudra immediately, but he kept telling her to wait ... the rest we have seen.

The episode -
Rudra-Mala first meeting - Paro hugs Mala, finds Mala unresponsive as she stares at Rudra ... Paro understands what Mala is asking and confirms it ... Mala overwhelmed, reaches out ... Rudra shattered again ... storms out.

Paro runs after Rudra ... tells him he has to stop running ... he asks her to come with him ... she tells him to face up to his past and deal with it ... he tells her to choose ... she refuses to choose, and tells him again he has to face his mother, ask her all the questions he has locked in his heart ... he has to talk to her.
He drives off.
Loved the conversation ... the way Paro confronts him ... talk to me, look at me ...
The way he says ... ghutan ho rahi hai, Paro ... He bares his heart to this woman, because she is part of him part of his soul, she understands ...
But she is also tough love ... yes, she understands, but she also knows the lost child behind the tormented man, the one still yearning for his mother, still guilt racked that he did something to chase her away ... he wants answers, he deserves those answers, but he has to face Mala and get them.

He's not ready yet ... he drives away ... and she lets him ... he needs his space, time to come to terms with the shock of seeing his mother again.
So she stops Aman from calling him, and gets his help to deal with the immediate situation ... they have an injured witness whom they need to take care of.

Paro- Mala ... another scene I loved ... Paro telling Mala, he's told me about you ... pati hain voh mhaare.
Mala's smile breaks out ... she is delighted, she always wanted Paro for her daughter-in-law ... but she is now realising the damage she did to Rudra by staying away for so long ...

Dia's note - really?! Now?! About time! In her defense though, she did try to take Rudra, she did stay in touch with Danveer for that purpose, and she did come back the moment he told her Rudra had returned. So I will wait for her full story ... it had better be good, for her to get any forgiveness.

And Paro reassures her that Rudra will return, that things will be all right ... Mala has realised her mistake, and that's the most important thing.
While I can understand Paro being sweet and loving to Mala, hope she stays out of the exchange between Mala and Rudra and only acts as a bridge to facilitate their interaction. She has to be loyal to Rudra, she has seen first hand the damage his mother's abandonment did to him ... on the other hand, Mala was her mother figure for fifteen years, and her support when Paro, a young orphan of six, needed it the most. So Mala has never wronged Paro ... she has only supported her, and Paro has to support her when she needs it. Mala has, however, wronged Rudra, and it is Rudra she needs to seek forgiveness from. From where Paro stands, she has seen both sides of Mala, and she has to tread the fence carefully.
In the meantime, though ... I did love the mutual delight on Paro and Mala's faces as Mala reveals her link to Rudra and through him, to Mala ... her Thakurain maasa is now her sasuma. A mutual love, respect and affection ... beautiful to see.

Rudra drinking ... as the memories surface in flashbacks ... expected! I hate to sound insensitive, but it's really high time he got over this. He is neglecting his duties as a BSD Major with his personal issues ... he should have been sorting out Mala's security and wellbeing, as she is an important witness in the Tejawat case, and moreover can tell them Tejawat's whereabouts before Tejawat flees again ... which Teju does, very promptly. Anyway, the scene was good ... fortunately Ashish seems to have received the feedback on his OTT crying, and has cut back on it.

Paro- Laila ... loved this scene, as Paro firmly and politely puts Laila in her place ... we thank you for looking after sasuma, now we can take over from here. As for your concern for Rudra, leave him to me, I'm his wife, and I can take care of him. Besides, I know you tried to come between us ... and that disturbs Major Saab. He's already facing a crisis, please don't worsen things.

So much confidence Paro has now about her place in Rudra's life ... when a man stands in front of a moving train and makes you swear you will never leave him, the words "I love you" are pretty redundant!

Dilsher- Rudra - Danveer - another good scene ... Dilsher ready to hand over Mala's sarees to Paro, and her jewelry ... Rudra tells him Mala is back ... Dilsher's shock.

Small details - Rudra tells Dilsher ... voh laut aayi, Ranawat ...
But when he sees Dilsher stumble, his reaction is ... sambhalke, Baapusa.

Yes, Rudra has changed ... and the change is irreversible. The bitterness may return temporarily, but it is well on its way to receding. Only the final dregs remain.

Rudra stumbles out ... Dilsher, worried, urges Paro to go after him.

Rudra- Mala - And Rudra has taken Paro's advice to heart ... he goes to face Mala.

So will we get Mala's story next week? And will it be the full story? What role did Mohini play in all this? Not overt, because Mala seemed to have no bitterness towards Mohini ... so obviously, even if Mohini did something to foment trouble, it was well hidden. Unlike here, where Paro and Maithili discovered her antics. Just hope the cvs have laid a good story in place ... it is already very difficult for Mala to get any redemption.

  2. The fantastic episodes continue, what a way to begin this week too!! Simply wow. And the precap, oh god have to wait for 24hours more, why ?!!! Urghh...

When I came to know over the weekend that he is going to find her pretty soon, I thought that will reduce the intensity of the separation, boy was I wrong, thank god. Kudos to the actors.

Felt so sad for them, there she was crying and silently bidding goodbye to him while he was buying her bangles with a smile on his face!!!!!!, how sweet was that.

P.S. He has completely forgotten about his aatva vachan- I hate you, don't care for you... or something on those lines, yup that's for sure.

  3. Hello Ladies.... The week started off with an amazing episode. The CVs have fooled us once again. Atleast one of my predictions was right. Rudra did find Paro. And very quickly. :) :) Thinking of it, I vaguely remember reading an interview of ST, in which he said that it was too early to have a separation track in the show. My guess is that the separation track would come later. The situation might be similar to Rudra's, when his mom left him. Paro leaving her husband and kid. Kind of history repeating itself. It is too early to guess anything. Waise bhi, the CVs keep changing their minds very often. So, we are all set to witness the Mala track, instead of the separation track. And seriously, what was the need to spill the beans about the track? First we get to see the promo, the tension builds up. The next day, we watch the SBS segment and the bubble bursts. Sigh..... :( :( The good thing about the show is the acting potential of the cast. Like Morning Breeze said, despite knowing that Rudra would find Paro soon, I was able to sense the agony of Rudra and the silent acceptance of Paro that she should leave her husband. Amazing acting by both of them. I have seen Sanaya with Barun and Ashish. Not sure about Mohit and the Chanchan hero. But in both the pairings, each one of them brought out the best in the other. I had watched a couple of episodes from Barun Sobti's serial "Baat Humari Pakki hain". I thought he was ok ok. But he was completely different in IPKKND. Now, it would be interesting to see the argument between Rudra and Paro.

Morning Breeze: The eighth vachan is that Rudra would never be Paro's. I guess he has all the other vachans. In this so-called separation track, I think he would break the eighth vachan.

    2. Agree with Jaya, MB and Madhu regarding the episode. Ashish and Sanaya are brilliant as Rudra and Paro.

Madhu, Like you said though sbs segment gave us a glimpse, I'm looking forward those scenes to play out. Separation at this point of time will not go well with TRPs too. So i'm glad they both will be together to face the next storm Mala.

MB doesn't matter even Rurda had forgotten that episode. He's hell bend in breaking all his vachans. Now Paro's turn to break her deal with Bohlenath.

    3. Agree with all here ... the episodes are really good these days ... have been catching them late, and enjoying them. Have to confess, I forwarded all the BI scenes in the ME ... they looked like a couple of high school kids making out ... especially in contrast to the silent, intense emotions of PaRud!

      Delete
    4. Hahaha... agreed Dia. I too FFed the scenes of BI to watch the ME. I really don't understand why Rangrasiya does not have good TRP ratings. I got conflicting feedback about the show. Apparently, this show has the largest fan following in the net. But looks like it is not so famous in India. Or atleast that was the feedback given by one of my friends, who visited India recently. Not sure, what to believe.

  4. Hi all*Hugs*

Haven't had time to catch up with the episodes but trying to keep up with the blog, hopefully after mid of next week will be able to join in the bak bak.

Thanks a ton, Ratna, Madhu, Archana, Lakshmi, MB for all the updates.

Dia: Hope you are having loads of fun. Will wait for your consolidated take on the epis.

    I just have one Q.

Paro gets down from the train.
Rudra too does the same in search of Rudra.

    So their luggage is gone??
I mean clothes, the mobile chargers everything?
    Aiyooooooooo!!!

    2. Shwethu, hi 5! Me too was wondering ... clothes, bags, chargers ...sab kuch bhool gaye train mein?
One question ... does Paro carry any money with her at all? Or at least, the social worker's address? What exactly did she plan to do in Mumbai? Or did she plan to go back to Birpur?

      Delete
    3. Shwetha miss you here. Only you can come up with something like this. LoL!!!

    4. Dia, that does not look remotely like train station of a metropolis. More like a train station of small town. Perhaps Paro was planning on leaving Rudra mid-way through return journey home.

  5. Looks Laila pulled a fast one on the high & mighty Thakursa!! That shows not to underestimate anybody. ;-)

And by the looks of the precap it seems like Rudra has found a solution to Paro vachan to her Bolenath.
( Rudra is like my almost one and half year old, does not know to express what he wants and get's grumpy when does not get it! ;-) :-)) )

    1. MB, so true. Never thought Laila will do this. But this kind of twists will reduce the image our Thakur sa. I felt both Parud are stubborn. Match made in heaven. Indeed. It was a very good episode.

    4. So true Morning breeze. Rudra is like a kid who doesn't express anything in simple language and throws tantrums, when he wants something. Initially, I was confused about Paro. She seemed to be so meek, timid and submissive. Frankly speaking, I was not very positive about the character. As the story progressed, I understood her character. But I cannot say the same about Rudra. He was (and still is) given a large screen space. So, it was easy to understand him. And truth be told, I like the way the creatives have characterized Rudra. I had no trouble understanding him. :D

Like Dia mentined in her post, Rudra's character has been drawn so beautifully.

  6. Hello Everyone

I have been following the drama and loved all the Paro/Rudra scenes. What can I say, totally biased, but if you have two very talented actors who portray all the rainbow of emotions what more can you want, except a happy ending, which I hope we get in the end.
Please keep the updates coming, I sometimes get a little lost without them.
Thank you all again for all your brilliant interpretations

    Take care
    Lin

  7. i have to underline that both the leads outdid each other today. maybe the director/editor changed, but even laila looked good today. rudra's flashbacks.. boy oh boy.. i could pinpoint the moment when his heart skipped a beat at the thought of losing her. fantabulous episode.

  8. Agree with you Lin & Jaya. I didn't even move while watching Parud scenes. Sanaya and Ashish nailed it. It's a must watch episode for their brilliant acting.

  9. hi everyone,

i'm very happy to see the blog buzzing again!

the epi was too good[parud scenes] and i was even impressed by laila's plan of not going against thakursa yet paving the way for mala and her escape!waisey,i never thought thakursa would fall straight into laila baisa's plan.

let me say first the things i did not like/wondered at:

*i hated laila calling mala saasumaa! like seriously?and even hated her emotional drama in front of mala CLEARLY showing that she's more than a friend to rudra.*head desk cvs*i even felt like mala is being easily manipulated by laila, again comeon CVs,atleast she is the clever kaakisa's sis, dont show her too naive.

*another thing i couldn't understand was paro saying rudra does not love her?
that actually left me thinking, does she really need it in words [as she does] from him? his actions scream out that he madly loves paro
*or is it her insecurity that makes her believe so?i think even rudra was pretty much shocked and dejected at that one.he is not someone who goes down on his knees and proposes to his ladylove but his actions always speak louder than words[ as pointed out by maithili bhabhisa herself today]

methinks paro baisa is very much confused by his 'protecting witness waala atitude and words'.she still does not realise her importance in rudra's life and its really high time he does something to make her realise that![ dia and others,i hope u all can actually clarify this part]

    now,the things which i liked

*the first scene was superb!!kudos AS and SI,they really bring the characters of rudra and paro to life.

*the song with the flashbacks was very nice and the song was apt for the situation.also loved parud's telepathic conversation and the precap too.
in fact,i loved rudra banna's idea, seems like he understood that's the only way to deal with his equally-stubborn biwi!

*i loved maithili-samrat scene.samrat, for the first time, had some sensible dialogues, reassuring both maithil and the tensed viewers.

have to mention this, though sbb/sbs ruins the suspense of the show, they actually relieves the tension of such epis [atleast for me] so that it is easy to sit back and enjoy the epi.

*some faltu qns[ looking around for madhu and others :-) ]

*mala seems to know that paro baisa is alive[she didn't appear much shocked hearing laila mentioning rudra and paro.] does she know that paro is her bahu now?will she be glad abt it?

*will laila-mala duo get into the haveli?will rudra and kaakisa allow it?

*lastly, will mala drive a wedge [unknowingly] btw parud[ as laila hopes]?dunno if the TRP junta would digest a bahu going against her entire sasural in support of her estranged saas?hope rr cvs have something better in this track for the TRP viewers and loyal audience alike.

waiting for ur replies everyone.keep the blog buzzing!

ps:.dia,if u find time,do drop in a line as reply, just for me to know that u are around and reading this comment.shwetha[if u are reading this],come with a take for atleast tomorrows epi.we all are missing urs and dia's daily takes.

    1. Hello Ratna.... I am not going to comment on all the points like last time. But I just thought it would be worth trying to explain the confusion of Parvati. She knows that Rudra has always come to her rescue. Has always protected her from danger. That's the main reason why she loves him to death, values him more than everything she possesses. And she has been very vocal about her feelings. She has professed her love for him on several occasions. So, she has always been there in the equation. But Rudra's is a different case. Until now, he has never acknowledged the connection between him and Paro. He refused to acknowledge Paro's love. His huge mental block is his mother's betrayal and the his father's lessons about a woman's betrayal. At this juncture, he has overcome one of these two obstacles. His father's poisoning. He is yet to get the other one out of his system. Having said all these, it is difficult for a guy like him to express his feelings vocally and be open about his intentions. But this is what Paro wants. To speak in simple terms. Even in today's episode, he was very close to confessing his love for her. But he didn't. And Paro tries to read his actions. It is true that actions speak louder than words. But words do have the potential to destroy the effect of actions. Remember the 8 vows? It would be very difficult for anybody to digest those words. But Paro did. Not only their marriage, but everytime Rudra does something good, he spoils its effect by saying something equally bad. Paro was and has always been a positive person. So, she took him in her stride. Handled him well. Did her best to help him overcome his bitterness. But now, it is Rudra's turn to return the favour. Not trying to generalize people, but guys (atleast my guy friends) find it difficult to express their feelings in words. And I think, Rudra is no different. The guy has already broken 7 vows of his marriage. He is yet to break the last one. That he would never be hers. Hope we witness that in the current track.

    2. Ratna glad to read your post. Do make daily posts. I really love to know the kind of questions you come up with. Thanks for sharing the comments below.

Madhu you have explained well about Rudra's hesitance to verbalize. Our Paro baisa will make him to verbalize, may be after some more time. I love how she keeps asking questions every time until he comes out clearly. I'm excited for today's episode. Some PDA on our way.

  10. sorry everyone, cant help making another post.

    firstly,thnx MB for the link.
ok,so i'm posting something out of the comments from IF which i really liked.hope u all dont mind[i think most of them are by loyal thakursa fans.]

    * '' I swear!! Why do they love Laila so much!! How can she outsmart tejawat!! come on CVs we dont want Laila!! How am i going to stand her for the next few days/ weeks!! I dont want aloo bhindi fights and manipulations please! ''
[THE LAST LINE ACTUALLY ECHOES MY FEELINGS TOO]

    * '' I had a similar feeling when they showed the fevicol lady outsmarting our Thakur Sa... He is supposed to be the most devious, evil and smartest Villain of RR... Till today I thought he is the main Villain of RR but today CV's pointed out to me how wrong I was...CV's are blindly in love with Laila that they can assassinate any character to make her shine..For all I care, CV's can happily take Laila home with them... And spare us all this torture. ''

    * ''Heights of stupidity, I tell you... I mean, this guy was a man who ran a whole weapons ring single-handedly for so many years...And now we are shown that he is been played by a khabri girl! May be something really stopped working in his brain after Paro's danda attack..
Tonight he was reduced to looking like a comical villain from Disney.
WE didn't ask for him to be brought back for this!''

apologising again if u got annoyed.but i simply loved these comments from IF.

  12. Hi Ratna,

You are right, they first portrayed Thakursa as conniving person and now we see him covering his mouth with a handkerchief and searching for Mala with the windows of the jeep all the way down in broad daylight!! ( I laughed at that scene ) Looks like staying in a dark dinging basement/cave has darkened some his brain cells too!!

As too why CV's are still shoving Laila down our throat, ( nothing against the actress, she is pretty decent, have watched her performance in BHPH, but looks like portraying a negative role is not her forte, its too high school drama club-ish ) its mostly for TRP. If you have observed in all the other serials like Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Ek Hasina Thi, Beintheha etc its mostly women who play pivotal negative roles, with men as sidekicks!
For a man to be as ruthless as our Thakursa, people feel he is being overly abusive or way too scary, even though they have shown women committing more heinous acts the impact is supposedly to be less in a viewers mind.
As my husband laughs and says 'kitchen politics'!, i totally don't agree with this, but still I feel this is the reason.

We are all not okay with it is because we actually liked the story that they started with it but unfortunately TRP matters, if they plunge so does the serial, so they change it as it pleases to what the majority of people want to see or expect and looks like we belong to the minority group.

Without wanting to sound like much of a political party ( majority, minority et al ) I think I will end this post here.
Hope what I said made sense, at least it does in my head!! ;-) :-))

  14. Dia, Shwetha - so good to hear from you two. Ratna - thanks for posting! Another good episode today. Sanaya was perfect, Ashish was also very good. The forum is up in arms about Paro wanting Rudra to say the 3 little words. I think CVs should have used "rishta" instead of "pyaar". Because she did ask him if he admitted they had a rishta and he walked away. That would have made more sense. In any case the scenes were very good. I know people can't understand why Paro would make a vow like this - but that’s because Paro is selfless and she is honest. How could she lie to God - who knows that her most precious possession is her love? So she promises to give it up for the life of the one she loves. Very few people think of doing this - which is why people don't understand it.
Dia - I think Laila is trying to get on sasu-masa's good side not Rudra's. She made it clear to Mala that she knows Rudra for a very long time and that she cannot put him in danger. Score. I'll save you risking my own life. Score again. She'll come back to the haveli "beaten" again and this time Mala will sympathize with her and save her. Sick of Laila. Although Dia - I agree - today's acting was better.
Maithili- Samrat: She tells Samrat she could not say anything about Paro's vachan to him (Samrat) but she was quick to spill the beans to Rudra? And Samrat tells her to smile - seriously? Anyway I'll take the 2 of them over Tejawat- Laila (sorry teju lovers aka Shwetha).
I want Laila to go away - her acting sucks, she's been given too much air time. So I'll join the "throw Laila out" morcha.
And for my faltu questions of the day…Tejawat believes that his wife whom he has kept chained – unchained herself, hit the guard, hit Laila, changed her clothes with Laila and ran away??? And not to miss the perfect fitting saree blouse;) I know I know – it’s a soap, I need to forget logicwa. But I had to ask just like Shwetha wants to solve the mystery of the missing chargers 
Koi baat nahi – kal hug milega!

  15. Lol Archana... you know what? These days, I am FFing the scenes of Laila. As long as I know what happens in the show, I am happy. I was surprised that Maithili was quick to spill the beans about paro's vachan to God. I hope they don't bring Mala until next Monday. The Mala track is sure going to be one high-strung track and I don't want my weekend spoiled because of her. Now that Rudra is trying to stop Paro from leaving him, I am expecting an open declaration of love from Rudra. Well... if not an open declaration, atleast something in his style that can convince Paro. And I agree with you that Laila is trying to score brownie points. Don't want to see her, but I guess she is the show's TRP booster. Damn these ratings yaar.... :(

To end my comment with a positive note, bahut intezaar hain kal ka episode ke liye. Sirf hug nahi, aur kuch milega tho bhi achcha hain. ;) ;)

  20. Good Lord! This guy is soooo stubborn, but his argument was right on.
Rudra's insecurity has not gone away completely, he said everything and more except three simple words! He could not even hug her the first time, boy his mother sure did a number on him. Poor guy, but looks like Paro is acting like a medicament, slowly but effectively curing him ;-))

Laila can plan all she wants basking in glory, but its only going to act as a catalyst in bringing the lovebirds even closer.

P.S. Way to go Maithili, she is finally standing up for herself and her better half, looks like Paro is good influence on her jija. Maithili now all you got to do is teach your husband to grow some spine himself!! ;-0 ;-))

    2. It was a good episode. Covered the present track as well as laid the foundation for the upcoming track. Agree with Morning Breeze. Rudra's insecurity has not gone away completely. Almost the entire cast was shown today, except Sumer and Tejawat. I hope it remains light-hearted till Friday. And start the Mala track from Monday. Waiting to see, if Rudra will tie the Mangalsutra before Mala's arrival.

    3. MB, Ditto on the episode!!!

Archana agree with you. Maithili's character growth is good to watch. The guests were very mean. Glad she also insisted to walk away from Haveli. Better they walk out.

As Madhu said yesterday most of the casts were onscreen not as audience. I liked, Rurda- KakuSa hug at the station. Also Dilsher- Rudra, these two have their own way to express their love for each other.Last but not least the episode ended with a cute interaction btw Bhabi and Deverji Sa. I'm with you don't want Mala before Monday.

I know I was asking the cvs not too rush and now I am complaining that they are dragging the scenes. But Sanaya's acting when she thinks the train ran over Rudra was simply AWESOME. She really rocks. And not sure why Rudra bhaisa hesitate to return her hug at first. His scene with Maithili was so cute. His hesitation and awkwardness were bang on. Waiting for Ratna's post.

    3. Hi Archana,

Even I was perplexed as to why he did not hug her back initially, thought he was insecure, and I think he was!! Insecure that she may leave him again, so after he makes her promise never to abandon him again and she confirms it, he hugs her back. He wanted the reassurance I guess.

    4. Yes - I think he was still very angry with her and only calmed down after she assured him again that she would never leave him. Looking forward to today's episode. Hope we get some uninterrupted romance.

  22. Archana wanted to add, Sanaya was brilliant in the scene you mentioned. Both the leads did a great job. She's too good in emotional scenes. Whenever I had watched her emotional scenes on screen, she will make me feel for the character. She is a treat to watch.

    1. Yes Lakshmi - you know during the t-rain scene I was laughing because the t-rain took so long to come. Bad direction. Instead of showing the train coming - they should have shown the clock almost reaching top of the hour - like it's supposed to come at say 5pm and the clock ticking and getting to that time. Since they kept showing this train hurtling down but never reaching - I found it filmy and funny. But the one scene Sanaya was so perfect I felt tears in my eyes at her acting. She is really really good.

  23. Reminds me of a spoof of such scenes in a Telugu movie I saw recently..

villain shoots a bullet at the father of hero who was tied right in front of him.. hero's father starts singing their family song

    ho..ho..ho
    inky pinky ponky
    father had a donkey
    donkey die father cry
    father cry donkey die
    father cry father cry..
    ho..ho..ho

song reach the ears of hero.. who was in critical condition in a hospital in a different city. he gets up.. pulls away tubes and bandages attached to his body, does few push-ups, stylishly dons a leather jacket, ties shoe lace, starts running to the town his parents were held captive.. takes a road roller as mode of commute, drives right in to the villain's den..

...and catches the bullet mid-way with his mouth.

  26. 05.06.2014 Episode

Actually I am silent read but I thought I will write a little take on the episode. As I don't speak Hindi I have to rely on English subtitles, but it takes a whole day before it comes online :-( I did see the episode and read the written update and i have to say I loved the episode. I thought it was precious that Rudra rehearsed how to tell Paro that he loves her and how akward he was when he tried to tell her face to face. I was happy that the scene was in Rudra style. I think an over romantic declartion of love wouldnt suit to Rudra. I was relieved that Rudra didnt get the chance to finish his speech as I think it's good for the story if the viewers know that Rudra loves Paro and above all the Rudra admit it to himself that he loves her.
Also liked the scene of maithili and rudra. I think it's a nice relationship and you can see they feel more and more comfortable with each other...

Sumer and Mohini scene was fine :-) With the return of Mala I think there is a chance that Sumer will comeback to the haveli. I am pretty sure that Mala will return to the haveli as she cant stay at the BSD office. If she returns to the haveli than Mohini can say that if Mala can return to haveli who abandoned her son and family and brought shame to the family that Sumer "deserve" to come back too.

Sry for any mistakes. english isnt my first language :-)

    1. happy welcome moni. yes, it was precious that after rehearsing his speech, he fumbled it all up in front of her.. but the moment he had the MS in his hand, i knew that he wont get to put it on her.. :D
thats the way the indian soapland works. and yes, now everyone in the audience knows rudra's stance on the matter of paro!

good idea on the future take.. but do you think dilsher, that heartbroken man, will allow mala to live in the haveli? I am remembering sadiya mam's comment in some interview that rudy will take her and imprison her in a cowshed or something like that.

and paro will support mommy, so that will be another abandonment for rudy.. angst days ahead is my prediction

    2. Hi Moni! !! Welcome to R&R cafe:)

Jaya I too remember Sadiyaji's IV. But that came when Thakur revelation to Paro track was going on. If I remember correct. Don't know what CV's have in store now. As Moni said Mala may come to haveli, giving way to Sumer. I just hope they have good back story for Mala. I'm still clueless about her. Dilsher will not oppose her stay. His character has developed positively.Last week the family scene and his words to Mohini gives me the hope that Dilsher won't oppose Mala's stay.

MB, you may be right yaar. Laila was not there when Mala came into BSD office or is she waiting outside. Don't know how she will use Mala to gain Rudra's brownie points. Let's see.

  27. I guess the Paro - Rudra story needed a speed breaker...not surprised that it came in the form of Mala...becos she is an important conflict point in the love story.(laila was another one, unless they have decided not to go there becos of viewer sensibilities) From where i view RR, the love story has not really begun...as least not from Paro's end and it fails the test of endurance from Rudra’s end.
Usually its not correct to comment on the uniqueness in any love tale becos love is a difficult emotion to explain and for every pair of lover, their tale is unique. But in stories, we theorise....
the reason why i am saying that the love story is yet to begin and many of u may disagree possibly on this.....
while Rudra seems to have found his voice to verbalise the feelings that he feels is love, he is yet to deal with the demons of his past (as cliched as that may sound), he is yet to have closure on that aspect. So his love, at best is tenuous, its not yet the unbending variety. Unfortunately, his lover has a totally different perspective to the conflict in his life, his runaway Maasa and her beloved Thakurain Maasa.

There were some comments about an earlier episode (i forget where i read them) about Paro's "strange" reaction to realising that his Maasa and her Thakurain maasa being one and the same. Iam not sure if the writers meant it in the way i see Paro the character but if it is so, to be honest, I found it the perfect reaction from Paro, the character and Sanaya, the actor. In my view, It was meant to be that becos the character, Paro, has yet to understand and empathise with Rudra's complexes about that betrayal.
    For starters,
Paro is very different from Rudra in her mental makeup
Paro has a different experience of the woman that Rudra hates
Most importantly, Paro's love has yet to reach the level of maturity. for her its about belief in the bond, Rudra her protector and the like...

Honestly. This is not how I saw Paro when the story began but the path the story has taken has forced me to conclude that Paro is not yet in Love. She is yet to know her man or for that matter her love. This story has not even begun...so why the tearing hurry to see a confession...i feel it is a long time coming and not just from his end, her end too....

do have a look at my post(s) below and share ur views too.

    2. Ratna,

As regards your specific question on high time for showing Para- Rudra scenes of shared passion....well ofc they could have yielded to such demands/requests...it could have given everyone some breathing time, i suppose..
But if u see from a writer perspective, here is a married couple, the man is no shrinking violet, the woman tho coy is not exactly averse to the man's attention..naturally they would have to take the relationship to the next logical step after all the come-hither looks...I presume writers think that the next logical step is a watershed moment in the course of the story, absolutely not to be messed with *wink (remember Dadi's inopportune entry into the Arnav-Khushi story after the raksha bandhan day, when to all intents and purposes, it was presumed that there were no more roadblocks atleast in the distant future in their story)....

Well.....what can i say...the Cvs like to tease, i guess...

Ratna, as far as the points raised in your posts below, I will try to answer that in a separate post as soon as I can

      Delete
    3. Rekha, i agree. Paro still has not recovered from "I have no one in my life to call my own". basically, all she has is rudy and many times when i watch her, i see glimpses of that little girl of the bus. she wants his happiness, not his love. and she needs to grow up a lot more to reach THAT place.

she has full trust in rudy and imho, that trust in him as her protector is more than her love for him as a man.

like you said, CVs have to place speedbreakers, or else how can they extend the accidental touches and longing glances that are a trademark of romance shows? today there were at least three scenes where the boy was willing.. (LOL it was almost a comedy seeing the frustration on his face) and actually, i am liking ashish as an actor more n more. however disconnected his acting maybe, he sure knows how to play the [fumbling teen with his first crush] to hilarious effect.

i do not understand how cottoncloud dreams of a happily ever after can constitute true love. not even in serials.. and this one have CVs with bite, i really hope they wont go for such cliches.

yes, paro is infatuated, and rightly so.. and now we know rudra is too. SN:this is turning into a teen romance! haila!

but after a million romance novels under my belt, i have to say, the treatment they give parud scenes are perfect. the attraction is there.. definitely, and they are doing a good job of showcasing that crackling chemistry that happens between kids who think themselves in love. and no amount of overacting histronics will make me think otherwise.

ps today was a good day, with everyone on screen. loved the sumer-mommy scene. they have turned her to comic relief, and this amazing lady does it with as much viciousness as she can.. (applause)

[PLS FORGIVE FOR MY RANT,I'M SERIOUSLY PISSED OFF! ]

*firstly,i loved the first half of today's epi and the parud scene was so good.loved to see rudra going all romantic and our nervous paro baisa.*A MUST WATCH*

*i even liked the sumer-mohini scene.sumer's dialogues were quite hilarious.as i mentioned earlier,i can take the ranawat family scenes anyday over laila scenes.waisey, CVs ki meherbaani...we didnt have to see the face of Laila baisa today!

*at first,i was quite confused at paro's expns. at bsd office hearing rudra's heartfelt confession.but that was just a REHEARSAL! [reserving comments for GH later in the post].why oh why, rudra banna?such a brave bsd officer, cant u say it straight?jo bhi ho,it was cute to see majorsa stammering and fiddling with his rehearsed speech.

*have to appreciate mala [or laila?] for their timing.

so did the khabri laila baisa got a msg that rudra is going to confess to paro and gift her MS [read mangalsutra] and decided to stop it somehow and what's a better hindrance than mala?postponing the confession and gifting MS to [who knows, may be ages/eons/never? (i hate to type the 3rd option but tis CVs can resort to that too!) ]

PRECAP:paro hugs her 'maasa' [really,so she promptly cut off 'thakurain' prefix and saved herself from mala's shouting.good for her.] and asks her 'haal chaal'.

mala dazedly asks who he is [dont tell me she didn't identify her own eyes?].

paro replies rudra, who storms off, followed immediately by a worried paro, leaving a tearful mala behind.

    CONTINUED IN NEXT POST.

  29. chalo, that was all abt today's epi,now over to my rant:

*WHY CV'S WHY? WHY YOU DO THIS?

after seeing the latest TRP chart for last week [RR's trps dropped further from 2.6 to 2.4] and today's epi,i want to ask one qn.straight to ST and GH,

DO U WANT RR TO BE SHUT DOWN BY THE CHANNEL DUE TO LOW RATINGS/DO U WANT THE LOYAL AUDIENCE TO DESERT THE SHOW DUE TO THE NEVER-ENDIING NEGATIVITY AND DISSATISFACTION?

*GH,dont tell me u and janki cant write good romantic scenes/positive tracks?i've seen geet and above all, ipkknd.how can u give such negative tracks and give just flashes of the lead couple scenes here in rr?

*ST,i do know that even MB had dismal ratings in the beginning, but after RK-madhu's hate marriage,u brought magic to the show and then there was no turning back for MB.u said RR is ur dream project, then why u are not re-creating the same magic, inspite of having a lead couple who has a LOT MORE potential than rk-madhu. [no offense to any MB fans, but that's just my POV]

there's no point brooding on thursday's abt trps in twitter.peep into IF/this blog if u want to know why.or just ask a normal tv viewer.for ur info, even the iconic IPK got good ratings after the nov-diwali scene.[correct me pls,if i'm wrong]

    A POSSIBLE REASON:

*The biggest problem with indian television these days is that they dont want to accept that their audience has changed. Nobody from current generation wants to see crap dragged saga forever that will add to tension in our already rushing hushing life. After a long day you switch on TV to relax and not watch something that leaves you dissatsified and tensed every day!

[A REQUEST:CAN SOMEONE WHO HAS A TWITTER ACCOUNT POST/TWEET THIS TO GH AND ST,ITS HIGH TIME THEY GET TO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING TO THEIR OWN SHOW OR ELSE I'M GOING TO VIRTUALLY SEND A TRUCK LOAD OF DANDAS TO THE CVS,SERIOUSLY!]

*The only thing i wanted before the twist was that Rudra should confess to Paro and give her the Mangalsutra. I was wishing that when Laila comes back to haveli she should see Paro with her Mangalsutra and Paro won't be feeling insecure as she knows that Rudra belongs only to her.now when will paro get her MS and confession?i think even the CVs dont know that.

*will paro go on taking her thakurainmaasa's side /stand by rudra at this point of time when he needs her support the most?atleast paro should not be insensitive to rudra.that can drive a wedge in not only their relation, but also in baapusa-paro relation also and so many are waiting to take advntg of it,including laila and kaakisa.

*''We have the screen presence of perhaps the two best actresses on Indian Television - Sadia Siddiqui and Sanaya Irani...on our show. They are the queen of emotions...hope that this track is handled gently and precisely...a lot depends on this track. If handled carefully, this track can do wonders. ''[courtesy IF]

*And why do I have this feeling that this track is leading to something like "paro unites rudra & mala but it will be mala who wont like paro's importance or place in rudra's life" :(.[*head desk*] Why cant rudra paro deal with negativities of life together like a strong force? Havent we seen enough problems in their life in last 5.5 months?
But the audience also like more romance along with drama, Ya baat CVs ko kaun samjhaye??

SORRY EVERYONE AGAIN FOR THE VENTING OUT.

IF SOMEBODY CAN SHOW SOME POSITIVITY IN THE UPCOMING TRACK/IN THE POINTS ABOVE,PLS DO SHARE IT.
    ratna.

    3. Ratna,

Responding in a general sense to your post altho I will try to separately address your main three points sometime later...

People see love stories in different ways and frankly there is no one right way to view it...Personally, I am drawn to a love story purely for the journey of lovers, I am not fussed about scenes and I don’t have set expectations of what I like to see as scenes between lovers…for me they should have relevance at the point of the journey in the love story, If I am convinced the scene had a role to play, I am fine with it…I don’t think in terms of milestones scenes in love stories, which is why I believe that a love story has a shelf life. Love may not have a shelf life but a love story does. The beauty of a love story is that it is not supposed to focus on the mundane…but eventually the most ardent lovers will have to focus on it once the tale is told.

Referring to Jaya’s point about cottoncloud dreams of happily ever after not constituting true love, I concur with J on that even while saying that I want a real love story to end at happily ever if they can’t do justice to themes they take up after the love tale. This I say becos I believe that it would take superlative effort and some deft story telling from a writer to continue to make the lovers the point of focus after the actual love story is told…if the lovers are no longer the point of focus..whats the love story for? Its no longer a love story for me….

Ratna, tho I have not answered ur 3 questions, I will try to do that sometime in the day

    4. Hello ladies!

There is some lovely discussion going on here and I am just catching the tail end of it...much like how I follow RR...

      But firstly,

A big Hi to U, Rekh...lovely seeing you here after a long long time...with J that too...I will always remember my first interaction here was with the two of U. And as usual, it's a pleasure reading your neutral view.

Coming to the questions...(Ratna, I have this inexpungible affinity towards kostens...so please tolerate me if U find much of this absolute nonsense.)

Actually I see more than three questions...so I will try answering them all! *w*

      1. On GH creating good story for IPK and Geet...GH himself has said over and over again that the story was Gul's...the characterisation..the tracks...he just needed to fill in the meat. It helps when the creator has a clear vision, the writers get their direction from the concept maker.

      2. ST and MB: Another show with great potential that was wasted. MB was the story of a middle class girl who was born on the sets of a film and her journey to stardom. Did we see even 1/10 of that potential? And ST had no obstacles like the leads quitting or the fans demanding a shutdown...and compared to MB1, I honestly feel RR is a much better take...(No comments about MB2...no point wasting time there!)

      Delete
    5. 3. Regarding the changing audience...this is a rant I find very peculiar to the RR forum.

I skim through RR, MB, BI and QH forums....and seriously, the trp thread in RR is usually a bitter outburst at the so called trp aunts...which I find totally uncalled for. The very fact that the many tracks have not worked with the trp audience means the makers simply don't know what works...for me, what would work is a glycerine free female lead. People complain about Rudr's tears...but seriously, most women don't care about a man crying. U take the smile out of the FL..and the whole show looks depressing...Sanaya is bang on! Make Paro smile..the trps will be back. Forumwaale bhi khush...trp aunties bhi khush! Though I don't know how that would fit into the story.

Look at the top trp grossers...they actually deserve to be there. I can vouch for it since I have seen QH through ups and downs in trps. If it came crashing down, it was because the content became unacceptable..to all kinds of viewers. Another example would be the rise and fall of SC...when the show gained trps..seriously, it was a pretty good watch. I would even stand by IPK2 which I had rejected outright in the first take...it looks good now...so the trps look deserved.

      4. Paro getting her MS and confession..the confession has been made, I thought...what did she take that -don't leave me- railtrack proclamation for? Most likely, Rudr will keep stumbling with his confessions...and in the end when he comes out with it, Paro will tell him she already knows. I didn't get that part..the guy keeps the earrings and even puts it on her...can't think about her leaving him... such an impassioned speech at the track... what more would a girl want?

      5. Paro taking thakurain's side...makes a lot of sense to me actually. Rudr has to make peace with his past before he starts his future with or without Paro....I think that could be her prime focus in his character growth...he cannot stay forever hating his mom for what she could have been forced to do.Rudr has to move on....and if she has to break him before he can do that, she will break herself too....

      6. On the track focusing on the two women in Rudr's life...great potential, as usual...

      7. Mala is the center point now....so, regarding how the track progresses...

      Could it be?

Mohini could never stand Maala. And Dilsher told his son that beautiful women belonged to no one..they are wayward...they belong to everyone...But Maala belonged only to Dilsher and then...Thakursa....So what was this everyone and anyone he is talking about?

Could it be that Mohini sowed the seeds of suspicion regarding Maala's infidelity- Dilsher tortured his wife...and she had to run away...and later on she found the thakur who sheltered her...

So the antagonist in this track could be Mohini? She will not tolerate Maala coming back....and she is going to play every crooked game to make sure Rudr does not reconcile with his mom....and Paro is going to fight for Maala. I have no clue where Laila comes in all this...except to create a misunderstanding in Paro's mind...that Rudr might have gone back to her in his hatred for Paro.

(OK. I let my imagination run wild after a long time...don't know if all this is positive or negative for you and if it is actually relevant to what the makers have in mind!!)

      *hugs* All!

    6. my dear su.

its, firstly,a pleasant surprise to see you back after a long hiatus [that too replying to my bakwas qns. and that too very well.thnx a lot, also for breaking the silence of the blog over the weekend.

do try to catch up with rr regularly and join in the discussions.its the only interesting show i found after ipk
[ QH had caught my attention for a while but after KSG quit, lost my interest, not bcoz i'm a ksg fan or something, just that i find it very hard to tolerate replacements bcoz once i see a character, for me actor=character.
[the only exceptions i guess are devoleena [who replaced gia as gopi bahu in SNS and vikrant massey as ayan in QH]

''. U take the smile out of the FL..and the whole show looks depressing...Sanaya is bang on! Make Paro smile..the trps will be back. Forumwaale bhi khush...trp aunties bhi khush! ''EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS AFTER WATCHING SANAYA'S NEW IV WITH TEAM SARUN.
*who doesn't like to see a gorgeous FL smiling and bringing smile to other faces, esp.when u have someone like sanaya on board?COME ON CVS,try that one and check the trp charts, hopefully u will get +3.5 or +4 trps.

[waisey,su,don't worry abt how that will fit in the storyline.we are talking abt rr cvs who can make the once-upon-a-time mighty thakursa a Disneyland-type clown villain and make the fevicol girl laila a master planner fooling thakursa, then what can they not do?]

*the antagonist of the track is clearly mohini kaaki as far as we have seen.dunno how the flashback story will play out though, but i dont think saadiya [the actress playing mala] will agree to do a flawed/grey role,so i'm pretty sure that mala's character will be much more layered than it seems to be.

*i seriously don't want laila in the midst of all this.can the cvs send her on a looooooong vacation?[i know,i know that does not seem possible, but still dont want to see her in every epi]

*on the confession bit.yes i agree the station one was more than enough.but, still,it'd have been cute to see paro getting to hear the precious three words from rudra!and wht abt MS,will paro ever get it from rudra??

*on the top trp grossers,i completely agree with u on ipk2 and even JA[though i dont watch it].even DABH and YRKKH. have solid storylines.but WHAT ABT PKDH AND SSK AND UTTARAN?if trp aunties can tolerate these shows, then why not watch rr which is far better than these ones?and who watches MB2 to give it 2.5 trps, seriously?that's why i don't understand these trps.

waiting to see ur reply to this post
and other girls, where r u all??do come in and drop in some replies to the posts here.

    7. Su,

As usual, I enjoyed reading your take ... good to see you back!

Regarding trps, I am very sceptical about trps because there are a grand total of 10,000 trp meters in the whole of India ... maybe the number has gone up slightly in the latest wave of digitalisation to double that number, maybe not ... I do know there were only 6000 in the first phase.

Compare that with even the numbers in a small market like the UK, which are in hundreds of thousands and you will see the difference in ratings. Even there, SP has a bigger reach, and Colors is way behind, but the shows doing well on Colors are RR and BI ... Uttaran on occasion. I am not an average TRP viewer ... normally I like shows which are not high on the TRP meter, but are appreciated outside of it ... I loved Kismat, the Indian 24, I am enjoying Rangrasiya not only because of Sanaya, but because of the story, despite the glitches we all point out here ... and I cannot stand even a minute of either DABH or SNS. So I don't agree that trps are any indicator of quality ... the trps reflect only a very small percentage of the Indian audience, and are heavily weighted towards the more traditional and conservative section. We have had this argument earlier about DABH too.

I don't know about Geet, never watched the show ... IPK had excellent characterization and Gul spent a lot of time on building up her characters, not only Arnav and Khushi, but ALL of them, Nani, Anjali, Shyam, Bua, Garima, Shashi ... the only two not well sketched out were Payal and Akash, and that was because they were last minute additions. And the show did well for the first nine months because the characters were well developed. Cannot comment on either QH or IPK2, as I really haven't watched them enough. In RR, Rudra was very well developed, but Paro was not, especially her falling in love was pathetically done! And when the audience cannot relate to the female lead, the show cannot do well ... whether she is laughing or crying. Gopi vhau cried her way through the first two years of SNS, and that show did very well. Now that they seem to be paying some attention to Paro's character, the show might ... MIGHT ... do better ... on the other hand, if the audience has already switched to another show at the same time slot, it might be too late.

    8. Regarding Rudra's confession ... it would be nice to get it, but I agree with both you and Ratna, Paro does not really need him to say the words any more ... when a guy is ready to face a moving train because you threatened to walk out on him, when he says he cannot live without you and more importantly, doesn't WANT to ... when he makes you swear you will never leave him ... it's pretty evident he's nuts about you. And Paro knows it, which is why the new confidence in her dealings with Laila ... and even with Rudra after he met Mala and ran away. Though I agree with ratna, it would be nice to hear him struggle to say it, and Paro to listen with a knowing smile ... knowing what he's so desperately trying to say!

I am very happy with the way they are taking Paro in this track ... she is supporting Mala, who has been a mother figure to her ... and is encouraging Rudra to face her, question her ... that is the only way he will get closure to his past. And it's about time he did that ... because they have honestly dragged his angst and his hatred too much. Even in Friday's episode, I was like ... okay, doesn't he have to deal with Mala, Tejawat's wife? Shouldn't he question her about Teju's hideout, his whereabouts? He is forgetting his duty in his personal problems, which is not excusable for too long.

I also feel that Mohini will be the final antagonist in the Mala Dilsher story ... and her current fury is because she worked so hard to throw Dilsher, Mala and Rudra out of the haveli fifteen years ago, she thought she had succeeded, and now they're all back. Whether her hatred for Mala is because of jealousy that Mala got the older brother with all the property, or whether it runs deeper, don't know ... might be both.

    9. Thanx, Ratna...

You actually answered a question I have forever wanted to ask Gul if I ever meet her in person...on why she wanted ASR and Asad dead when the leads wanted to quit...Even though I watched QH with Raqesh who is a pretty good actor...with my personal experience of missing KSG as Asad, decreasing trps , and KVB's own refusal to take up Asad when it was offered...I guess Gul(and Sanaya) was right. You cannot replace an iconic lead just like that. The audience is bound to get upset...and only the very few hardcore fans will stick on. (BTW, I always thought KSG's exit at the time of RR's entry would work out very favourably for the show...and I was proven wrong. I think YRKKH gained back all those TRPs...along with Paakhi...)

Smiling Paro: Isn't it high time Paro bid goodbye to her fears and tears...(I thought she did that with her night in the interrogation room- the fb in the last episode clearly showed her growing strong enough saying no to tears...they simply need to build up Paro. Rudr can wax and wane to suit the tracks...At least that seemed to work with MB...which was also a glycerine overdose for me...but Madhu appeared to be stronger despite the tears...ofc, staying consistently strong is an impossible task for a ST heroine...Now that Paro knows her promise to Rudr stands above her vow before a probably very confused Mahadev...can't she just stay strong...in front of his tears...his anger....his helplessness..just stay firm...and discover that her tears have dried up....If the RR team is really looking to fit in the plot in a non depressive manner, I feel they should make Paro give up her tear glands...and I have a hunch this track could be about that...If Maala had been ill treated and she had a reason to leave...Paro is right in supporting her. Rudr has to just open his third eye to see what she sees. *w*...But that eye is probably going to open when it is just too late...and then...who knows ...it might reduce everything that worked against his love story to ashes....(Sigh...I had such great expectations from this show...!)

Lailaa: There is no rhyme or reason to her....but I welcome these distractions in ST's shows...not that I love them...but Deepali was a better watch- raving mad fan of hers.

The MS: The day that deed is done, I guess RR would have told its story....

      Delete
    10. TRP grossers: Yes...and U actually mentioned the shows I don't really watch in the PKD line...

PKD: Had a very organised story when it started gaining trps. And the audience faithfully sticks on, because they don't feel cheated yet...Pankhuri's amnesia track does not interest me at all...but I guess the fact that all the characters are still there ..and the absent ones are accounted for ...gives the audience a feel that the ship is not sinking...the supporting cast is made use of pretty well, and that counts. That's all I can say, since I have caught only 10 minutes post leap.

SSK: I find all of the colors show pretty bad. There is not a single one I can recommend... Wherever you have two women united against the world...it strikes a chord with the audience...Roli and Simar don't cry...they just form a super women team bulldozing through every obstacle their family faces...they come up with some weird stuff..but I guess the teamwork works...just like people root when Maithily works with Paro...

Uttaran: Some pretty faces...not very great trps anyway, I thought...but it is CONSISTENT. There is melodrama, but it is mellowed down...not staring in your face. (That earring scene in RR came out of the blue for me...and I was left wondering what is the relevance to the story at that point...looked like a fan fiction coming to life at the wrong moment....to be precise, Paro looked funny with two different earrings...and then her dialogue asking Rudr to return the one he had removed made no sense....not sure if it was symbolic....I am not being sarcastic...But can U see what I am trying to point out as a neutral viewer...When I watch Uttaran , there are no such forced looking scenes...with RR, there is plenty. Another example is Rudr looking for Paro in the Station....and he stands on those three boxes and takes a filmy heroic turn...I am ready for my remote.... But I didn't...so I watched to like the bangles being thrown on her path....symbol of broken dreams/ trust/ promises...nice...but I did not have the patience to look out for the rail track scene...

Same holds good for QH...The audience was really upset with a replaced Asad and then they got a lot of rubbish with Nikhat...the smart audience went to the show that handled parenting issues or the one tackling the aatma sammaan concept....another show where a widow was being mentally tortured and having RR moments with her captor too early in her recently widowed life would have made scant moral sense....)

Anyway, I think Uttaran will be out very soon...more than the trps..I think the channel stood by it....if it has better trps than RR, it must be because it has no great competition like RR.

      Phewww...I am talking a lot here...lol.

    11. Thanx, Dia....*hugs*

Sorry I am going on and on here....

Regarding trp meters...10,000...Ha ha...Trust our Indian estimates to be just so namesake there...But the very fact that all the channels seem to stick so faithfully by it should mean something....and trust me, when I see Life OK overtaking Colors...I feel there is some truth to the system...some justice there definitely... (Some channels had disowned the system, I thought...or...did that change with the TVMs?)

DABH and SNS:I was thinking about this recently. They actually worked better than CC because the MILs were not scheming....they are transparent in their atyachaar to their DILs....and when such characters are made to realise their ignorance...I guess the audience feel they deserve to be forgiven.... I think DABH is losing it somewhere going by the trps....Ever since the IPS track started, I find the show boring.

IPK: Yes. U R so very right. Gul worked hard on those characters...more than she did on QH1 or 2. But then, I guess she was excited with the wave Geet created and was eager to experiment on....now it is a need to exist...but QH2 is picking up. I doubt Gul will ever give her heart and soul to a single show like she did to IPK.

RR: Still can pick up with Aashish as the ambassador in JDJ...and if the track stays strongly female oriented there is a good chance at the trps. Ofc, the rudr fans are going to tear ST down, if that happens. (I think a big challenge the RR team faces is about interpreting the internet responses...they need to keep in mind that a huge chunk out there is teenagers and a pretty huge proportion watches it only online.)

On Rudr confronting Tejawat's wife: BSD is just a side story here- not even a parallel track. Would have been great if it had been developed along with the love story....missed opportunities! Anyway, I guess Tejawat will get to Paro/ Maala before Rudr even starts remembering his duty...(Was that Tejawat's POA?- To hold Rudr's mother a hostage in times of need?)

Paro has emerged stronger...the girl who wept at the katputli story and ventured out all alone, foolishly in a strange city has been left behind, thankfully.

Maala and Mohini: Wasn't there a line somewhere where Mohini said that Maala got the best in life...always...the hatred runs from early childhood, I suppose...

  31. 06.06.2014 Friday Episode

As nobody have written about today episodes, I will do the start :-)

I totally liked today episodes. Acting wise Ashish was the star today. I could feel Rudra's pain and I was totally sorry for him particularly after how Mala reacted. I have a feeling that Mala still expects that Rudra is still a small little boy who will welcome her. It is, as if she is from another world, where everything is perfect and nice. For god sake she left her child :-(

i really tried not to be over judgmental because I truly believe that every women is the maker of their own happiness. If she wasnt happy in the marriage she has every right to walk away. But Dilsher and Rudra deserved an explanation why she was leaving. Maybe she did tell dilsher so I dont wanna judge that. But Rudra was left alone under his father care without an explanation. She should have known that this boy will be broken and would blame himself. Ok according to her she did come back to take Rudra away but what I don't understand is how she could expect that Rudra would be cool with it to live without his father and his family and to live with a stepfather?
According to me a child needs mother and father. You just cant take a boy away from his father...but maybe the CVs have a nice back story for Mala where Mala behaviour is justified.

The best character today was Paro. She was a star!!! The way she put Laila in her place was awesome. She was soft but in the same time determined and no objection from Laila side was allowed. It was like a slap in the face for Laila. Rudra with all his anger and loudness could't put Laila in her place like Paro did. Paro has apparently found her place in Rudra's life. That helped her to speak up confidently and to use her rights as a wife.

Even though I liked today episodes, I thought they should have used yesterday end scene as the cliffhanger for the weekend and today episodes as Monday episode. The cliffhanger from yesterday would be a perfect cliffhanger for a weekend :-)

    Sorry for any mistakes :-)

    1. Moni, thanks for the take. I agree with you about Mala walking away, it will be very difficult to forgive her, and that's why we need to know her back story first. As it is, we are all pretty judgemental about her because we have seen Rudra's side of the picture and only that, we really don't know the whole truth. But a woman has to be really unhappy in her marriage to walk away, and from Rudra's flashbacks, his mom seemed happy with Dilsher around, so that part is puzzling. Unless it is because of precisely that reason that these are RUDRA'S flashbacks, HIS memories as a child, and they might not be completely accurate. He might have blocked out the memories of his parents fighting, or some such thing. Mala stayed in the marriage for twelve years, was she unhappy all through? Did she stay for so long only because of her son? Some women stay in a bad marriage for the sake of their children, and some walk out because they feel their children will be better off without the tension between the parents. So again, it all depends on mala's story ... and how much role Mohini played in it.

  32. Ratna - thank you for posting last night. And don't worry about the ranting - that what the blog and we are here for - let off the steam. I watched yesterday's and today's episodes apprehensively. I read the written update yesterday and was bummed. I did not care about the confession - all I wanted was for her to have the mangalsutra - knowing how much that piece of jewelry means to a married woman. It would make her feel she has the 'haq' of being his wife.
I did watch the episode late last evening and it was good. Apart from the bad filming, the acting was perfect. Ashish did a fantastic job with both the rehearsal and the real thing. And the shadow of his past was perfect. Maithili was awesome as well. Skipped the SuMo scenes.

Coming to today's episode - Moni - thank you for posting - and what a fantastic post! I lovedthe post and the episode. Ashish's expressions were bang on and Sajida did a great job. Absolutely loved Paro ticking off Laila - it was indeed a slap on Laila's face. And she deserved it. I felt no sympathy for her as she tried again today to undermine Paro.
Dilsher-Rudra scene was good too. Everyone on the forum felt Paro should not have let Rudra go- but I think she was just giving him space and she was right. He did listen to her and he did go back to confront Mala.
But Moni - I agree with you - yesterday's pre cap today would have been better. Hope they keep the suspense until Monday and don't spoil it with spoilers like they did last weekend.

  33. Is anyone else watching any other shows?

I find Life OK totally a fresh take now. It looks worthy enough to be called Star One's successor. In a week that showed Life OK overtake Colors...I happened to catch some nice episodes of Paakhi and Baawrein.

Paakhi is handling the issue of woman's equality pretty nicely. I felt Paakhi was a little extreme for leaving Anshuman at some silly angry outburst..but Kudos to the creatives for making me connect with the issue through three different protagonists. And they made Paakhi go back to being a guide and she took the viewers around Red Fort...(I had wanted CC to go back to dog training too...it had been such a essential part of her characterisation.) Anshuman's track is a little cliched...wants to help out ex GF- turned wife slayer- turned snotty bride to murderous gold digger....pheww...prety complicated!

Baawrein: Another love story from Lucknow. The promos and the leads looked unimpressive...the back to back weekend was a different story...told very nicely...smooth love story with no dark n disturbing pasts.

    QH2: A non happening week...except for a new entry...ofc...which is why I ventured out..out of boredom...

BI: Another Colors show that seems to have told its tale...

    1. su,
ofc i'm.just refrained from posting this bcoz nobody did so,but now u have, let me share 'OTHER SHOWS THAT I'M WATCHING':

*YHM: finally a good kekta show, nowadays,i think she makes sensible shows, dont she?i like the trio of raman-ishita-ruhi and divyanka is impressive as the sweet and strong dr.ishita.other actors are also gud.the punjabi-madrasi tiff is funny yet nice.no wonder its getting good trps.

*tumhari paakhi: was pretty gud from the beginning.knew life ok had a star in its hand with TP.its watchable.paakhi,as a character,is much well written than anshuman, who always seems confused[or is it the writer?,dunno.]the character of girish is gud too and so is the title song.i'm watching it off and on,but for this show, promos usually give out the entire track well in advance.

      *saathiya:now,dont throw dandas everyone !
ever since devoleena entered,i've felt that gopi bahu changed from a weepy DIL to a strong character.post leap, the show looks much better, from gopi's modern look, the kid actors, improved look of ahem dikra to rashi turning positive.i loved how they found their long-lost daughter meera[that's the week SNS topped the trp charts recently] and the gopi-ahem reunion next week[that scene esp was well done by both the actors] though now they are simply dragging radha's pardaphash and looks more like a comedy show!

*sc:had left watching the show after saras-kumud marriage.i really find it dragging.

*BI: yes,the show seems to have told its tale and the writers seem to be searching for tracks.can't tolerate it much after mahasangam with rr,zain-aaliya looked like some college lovers infront of parud and i dont find any chemistry btw them.waisey,i was never so impressed with preetika.dunno how the show gets good ratings in spite of competing with DABH.

QH2:though i dont watch it,from sbs/sbb,i think its doing much better than MB2.hate MB2 these days, cant stand either raja/junior MB.[ cant believe i'm saying this bcoz i used to like rk-madhu a lot]

      JDJ7:started this week.
not like watching only for ashish,i actually have more favorites like kritika.drashti seems to be quite good as a host.i liked shakti mohan and mouni roy for their dance.sanaya had come as paro on saturday to cheer for ashish.it was lovely to see her there.ashish seemed quite nervous, dunno why?his choreographer shampa is pretty gud,i think.but looks like its going to be tougher this season.

i just dont understand one thing, why did sanaya reject to be a part of such a big platform??,she could've easily taken the trophy home.not only that her talent could be noticed by many in bollywood including Kjo himself. not that i want her to go like barun, but, see, sanaya is as good as[or more]than drashti, though i like drashti,i always feel even sanaya could have been in her place on such a big platform.hope to see her next season/a wild card entry[who knows?]

chalo, more later and when i find the blog buzzing with posts and replies.

    2. Aww..Ratna,

      Thanks for replying here...

More or less the same opinion here...

YHM: Along with JA...Two shows that are feathers in EK's cap.

KumKum and Pavitr Rishtaa: The former looks uninspiring despite a strong cast...the FL reminds me of Baani from the three sisters show that went very weird...so maybe, I am judgemental. PR: A prime example that there is a limit to the audience's patience...The show is actually looking interesting since the leap...but the viewers are simply not going to be lured back...they have probably been cheated more than once.

Paakhi: Yes...I also felt it would do well...though I did not follow it for long.Do give Baawrein a try if U have the time.

Saathiya: I actually liked Gia...But I never watched much of the show with her in it. Totally miss her innocent face as Gopi Vhau...so unfair too...ha ha! But I think she dropped out of her next show too. I think wherever kids are handled well, the show does well...family sells better with a family audience...

BI: Looked fresh in the beginning. It looked very organised...very less negativity...DABH went through a down phase and the trps went to the next feel good show, I guess. But I think the Barkhat track is testing the viewers' patience...and seriously, if the love story is over...What do they have to show? This is where I appreciate PKD...they tried to give a story to everyone...it does not work out always...

Preetika is very pretty...and combined with HG as the DOP...it is/ was a sunny show (I think I caught his name in Baawrein too. Baawrein really is my pet theme...something I wanted from Gul with Barun and Sanaya...which is anyway never gonna happen...it is the love story of a struggling director and an upcoming starlet....shades of what I expected from MB too.)

QH2: The magic is there...but Gul believes in rations. lol. There is a rom com in Sanam- Aahil and a serious love story in Raahat- Hayaa. A good attempt to woo both kinds of audiences...

JDJ7: Loved Mouni Roy's first look. Will try and catch the repeat.
I feel Sanaya made a good decision to be not a part of this...somehow...I want her competing in a better company...I am not sure what it is...

Sanaya is a better dancer than Drashti any day....when she does Jhalak...I believe it will not be for the trophy...it will be to fulfil a desire...she will want to enjoy every moment of it...free from any other stress...and I want her to win it.

  35. dia,

just read ur takes on the last 2 epis.hats off yaar!u caught even the minutest details.
agree with u,paro should stand by rudra and not [apparently] go against him by supporting mala every now and then.that'll worsen thing.for paro, i think

'saasuma ko sahara dene se zyada rudra ki marham aur dhaal ban.na zyada zaroori hain' should be the motto
.waiting to read more from u and again, welcome back.

    ratna.

  36. Ladies.... Good morning to all of you. Couldn't post my thoughts on the last 2 episodes due to a hectic schedule at work and also at home. After reading Dia's post on Mala's re-entry into the Ranawat family, my doubts / suspicions have been confirmed. Like Dia said, Mohini could have created a situation that would have forced Mala to leave the haveli. If that was the case, she had had escaped twice. The second time (Rudra's poisoning), she had a narrow escape. If Mala enters the haveli, Mohini will try her best to throw Dilsher's family out. Will she get caught this time for all her crimes?

I am not sure if this question has been raised in this forum. Why did Dilsher marry Mala, the younger one and not Mohini? And Danveer ended up marrying the older sister, Mohini. I am getting a feeling that Mohini's anger towards Dilsher-Rudra-Mala had started long before Rudra was born. Sounds to me like the story of Harry Potter, who was brought up by his mom's elder sister. She never treated Harry well, because of her jealousy and hatred towards Harry's mom. Harry's mom was always the sweet, loving one and had all the attention. Is the Mala-Mohini story similar to this? I do remember an interaction between Dilsher and Mohini, when Mohini said that everyone liked Mala and not her. This scene was in one of those shaadi rasam wala episodes. Can't even remember the exact situation. Well, it would be great if one of you guys could come up with a better alternative theory.

    1. I think we discussed this above ... I also feel the same, that Mohini has a lot to do with the problems between Mala and Dilsher. The same way that she is trying to create trouble between Paro and Rudra ... except that she was more successful with Mala and Dilsher ... she did manage to sow the seeds of a rift between them, while keeping her own nose clean.
The reason? Was it only because of unreasonable jealousy that Mala was the favoured daughter, the prettier one, the sweeter one? Did her jealousy get compounded because Dilsher, despite being not so good looking and handicapped also, happens to be the sole owner of the property, which she didn't count upon, while she got the better looking but poorer younger son, who obstinately refuses to take over his older brother's share?

That's why I'm not condemning Mala outright ... maybe Mohini even went so far as to promise Mala that she would take care of Rudra when Mala left, and until she found a safe haven ... so Mala thought she was leaving Rudra in her sister's loving care, and in the middle of a loving family. After all, Danveer always cared for Rudra, and from Rudra's flashbacks, Dilsher was a pretty decent father. So Rudra technically had a loving family even in the absence of his mother. Mala didn't know that Dilsher would walk out with Rudra, and then pour all his own poison and bitterness into the boy. Rudra's bitterness is as much Dilsher's fault as it is Mala's ... when a marriage breaks up, both parents are responsible for what happens to their children, not just one. And if a child is left with one parent, that parent should take over both roles ... here Dilsher abdicated even the role of father, forget about taking over the role of the mother.

Of course, all this depends on what Mohini's role is in the Mala walk out drama.

  37. My second question is related to TRPs. I have said this before, but I am saying it again. I am surprised to see that Rangrasiya has low TRPs, when the show has a huge fan following in the net. My roommate and I had an interesting discussion about Indian TV shows and the TRP systems. She said that the channel also plays a part in the show's TRP. Like for example, JDJ is a dance reality show, which has lots of USBs to attract masses to their TV sets. Madhuri, KJo, Remo, TV stars and other celebrities...... So, I am assuming that the TRP for this show would be good enough. I mean.... a dance show's TRP would be good irrespective of the channel in which it is aired. Every show in colors, except Comedy nights with Kapil, seem to be struggling. Whereas, the Star Plus serials have better TRPs than Rangrasiya and Beintehaa. I had tried watching a couple of Star Plus serials. But, I just couldn't go on. And these shows have better TRPs. Rangrasiya has been through a lot of twists and turns since it started. I am not biased here. But there was never a dull or slow moment in this show. Even when Ashish was out of action for a week or so, the filler track of Sumer kidnapping Maithili was decent enough. And the negativity..... I don't understand how an average viewer's mind works. I don't mind negativity or positivism, as long as I enjoy the show, which I do. The actors have really convinced me with their act. And I don't think it is fair to blame the CVs. Because they do try their best to deliver the right content. The PH, CVs, cast & crew are the main stakeholders. So, in my opinion, there could be other reasons as to why the show has not taken off well. Hopefully, with Ashish's participation in JDJ, the show's TRP could increase with his popularity.

I apologize, if I was being repetitive. But I would appreciate it, if someone could respond to my queries.

    1. TRPs are the biggest mystery to me too, Madhu ... I really cannot fathom how they work. I wrote above about the set top boxes ... but saw a topic on the forum, which said that with digitization, the channels do get feedback from all the new cable boxes ... so maybe the new ratings are not as skewered as I thought they were.

Colors is stronger in their weekend and reality shows ... they seem to be really struggling with their fiction content. I don't watch any other show on Colors, except BV once in a while ... so I can only speculate ... but I do feel that one of the big contributors to RR not doing well, is the fact that Paro and her emotions were not given enough attention during the initial phase, especially after Rudra brought her to the haveli. And the way she fell in love with Rudra, the way she proposed to him in public, the way she stood outside in the rain ... all those strong Shiv Parvati analogies, were too strong and very badly written and executed. When the audience, majority of whom is female, cannot connect to the female lead, then the show cannot do well. If you see IPK, QH, MB ... and I think most shows which are on top of the charts, the female leads are always well sketched and their character growth is given a lot of importance. The male lead can be silly and stupid (like Anshuman in TP), but as long as the female lead is strong and makes sense, the audience will watch.

And in their attempt to make Rudra the focus, and get audience sympathy, the makers have gone overboard and made him a wimp and a very weak character. Just as an example ... when he saw his mother on Friday, he left her and stormed out ... and then proceeded to drink himself silly, stagger back to his dad, inform him that Mala is back, and then stagger off to confront Mala again about how she abandoned him. How much more effective it would have been if he was strong, if he faced her coldly, said "Mrs Tejawat, you are under the custody of the BSD ... we will detain you for questioning and look after your health till you are fit to be questioned." The purpose of Rudra refusing to accept Mala as his mother would have been served, and it would have kept him strong.
Now it feels the guy has no sense of duty ... his personal issues over ride everything. It was left to Aman and Paro to sort out how to deal with Mala, while Rudra cried yet again about how he was abandoned.

Have to say, I was just glad that Paro did not bring Mala home ... I hope it is Rudra or Dilsher who do that.

But in Colors' other shows like SSK, even MB ... the heroine's story always got due importance ... BV of course is all about Anandi ... if you look at all the top shows, a strong female lead is a common factor. Even IPK did very well as long as Khushi was kept sensible, even when she was quirky. I know for myself, I watch shows where the female lead is strong ... I like GD for that reason too.

If ST realises this, and makes Paro really strong and sensible during this track, it could help trps. If he makes her stupid, and Paro keeps asking Rudra to forgive Mala, without knowing her whole story, TRPs will sink further.
