10/6 - Epi 118 ... Tangled Relationships

Tuesday 10th June

Tangled Relationships .. unravelling ... or getting further tangled ... re-establishing ... how fragile our human emotions can be ...

Danveer Dilsher ... a brother wronged ... a brother betrayed ... but who is the betrayer?

Rudra Paro ... tough love is usually associated with a mother ... but when the mother is missing, the wife fills that need.

Dilsher Paro ... Paro voices her own internal conflict, and finds a surprisingly sympathetic confidante for her point of view.
This was the scene of the day Clap Beautifully played by both actors, especially Dilsher ... now I am really looking forward to the whole story.

Paro Rudra again ...
Pyaar tumko bhi hai, pyaar humko bhi hai
Toh yeh kya silsile ho gaye
Bewafa tum nahin, bewafa hum nahin
Toh kyun itne gile ho gaye

Paro Mala ... felt sorry for Paro in this scene ... she loves her foster mother, but maybe blood is thicker than water after all, for Mala is more worried about Rudra's pain. Is Paro fated to never find unconditional love at all?

Rudra Maithili ... an unlikely alliance ... but Rudra cannot confide in Maithili this time.

Mohini ... alone ... as she is fated to be.

Paro enters the haveli with Mala.

I still hope that she brought Mala back on Dilsher's request. Confused I think she did ... waiting to watch tomorrow.

  1. I think today's episode was quite good. I could connect to Paro and Rudra. I can understand where both are coming from. I feel Rudra's pain because apparently he seems to be left totally in the dark about the real state of the marriage of his parents and what happened than. To be left suddenly without any reason must be totally hard for a child in particular when you are mother's child like Rudra. As if this was not enough he was raised by bis father with lot of poison. At the end both of them destroyed Rudra's soul and now both of them must take responsibilty for their action.
Dilsher seems to be willing to take responsibility for his actions and it also seems that he regrets how he behaved then.I think his old age brought him to his senses and I think he wants Mala to come back, so that at least Rudra has the chance to let go of his past.
Dilsher wasn't the best father the last 15 years but it is a relief that he trying to be a better father now.
Mala is another character who I started to understand a bit. We still don't know what happened than but it seems obvious that she wasn't happy in the marriage but that she really wanted to take her son with her. Meanwhile she seems to come out of her "dream world" and that she sees how damaged Rudra is and how much hurt he has to bear. But I still got the feeling that she is piting herself more than regretting for what she did to Rudra. I am still not able to connect totally to her, but may be it is because I don't understand Hindi and therefore I am not getting her feelings.

Paro is between the chairs and it is obvious that she wants to take care of Mala but that she also wants to take care of her husband. I think it is quite understandable that she wants to take care of Mala because she is thankful for the motherly love that she has gotten from her. Paro is a fiercely loyal person and it is not suprsing that she takes care of Mala and wants to help her and I don't blame her that she went to Mala. Mala was both physically and emotionally in a bad state. Rudra needed her too but he was drunk and he was sleeping so it is understandable that she left. But Paro's caressing of Rudra when he is sleeping shows that it was hard for Paro to leave rudra in this state.

And I truly believe that Rudra is Paro's number one priority. Even when she talked to Mala she made it clear that she is on his side. I think Paro is seeing the bigger picture here and she knows that Rudra has to face the demons of his past. I think Rudra is a character who needs a push from Paro but I think Paro knows when she has to push and when she has to give him space. Even tough she loves Mala very much she wants to help Rudra to overcome his grief. I think she know that Rudra can only live happily with her and love her when he is free from his demons.

Sorry for this long posting. I just wanted to write my thoughts. In IF there was too many backlash mostly against Paro...so I felt more comfortable to write my opinion here :-)

Oh yes and Mohini is back in the game and is planning to get Samrat married again. I wonder tough how she can think that Samrat would willingly marry another woman. Samrat has no backbone till know but it is clearly to everyone that he loves Maithili. And of course the whole family will be against a second marriage so Mohini can't expect anyone help :-D

    2. Beautifully summarized, Moni !

I really liked the Paro Dilsher scene ... I'm so glad that the creatives are finally giving Paro a voice to express her own feelings. She feels for Mala ... Mala took her under her wing when she was orphaned, how can she leave Mala alone in that state? And she took care of Rudra befoer she went back to Mala ... made sure he got home, ate, slept ... and then only she went back to Mala ... that too after asking Dilsher.

And she realises that Rudra loved his mother very deeply ... he has spoken to Paro not just about her leaving, but also about the good times with her, the song she sang for him ... she knows that under that thin veneer of hatred, there is hurt, there is the pain of abandonment, and there is also a deep love. She is trying to give Rudra the space he needs to come to terms with Mala's return, while making sure he doesn't do anything stupid like pushing her away in the meantime, because later he will only regret it even more.

Post away here ... this place is meant for that reason ... when IF gets too crazy!

    3. Hello People.... And well said Moni. I was a little skeptical about the Mala track, when I first came to know that it would start soon. Though I was disappointed that it started a little early, I would now say that I am looking forward to what the creatives are going to show. So, Mala did want to take Rudra with her when she left. But she was thrown out of the house by Dilsher. There is a lot to the story than we know. I don't read the India Forums posts. So, I am not sure what was written about Paro. I kind of agree with Moni. She is looking at the bigger picture. Paro has always wanted to heal Rudra. She had always wished for his happiness. So, she is doing her best to unite the family and make the old grudges disappear. Half of the confusion would be cleared, if Mohini is caught. Mohini was successful in breaking Dilsher's family, but history is not going to repeat itself. Now that Paro knows her importance in Rudra's life, she will deal with everyone more confidently. As for Rudra, he is just sulking. He can never hate Paro again. Nor be angry with her for a long time.

    4. Hello Dia... this is a continuation from the previous thread. Sorry for being a dumbo. :( But you mentioned that the show could be shut down by the end of the year, if its TRPs don't increase. I realize that is what happened to Chanchan. But I am not aware of the figures. Just checked Bade achche lagte hain's TRP. It is less than 2. But it is still running. Not sure about what is going on in the show. Just wanted to cite an example for a show with low TRPs. Waise bhi, I am not sure what Rangrasiya team would show once Mala's track gets over. There is Samrat-Mohini-Maithili and Sumer-Laila. Though I am not in favour of the second one. But Laila has to be taken care of, before the show ends. Not sure how the CVs are going to handle it. And the capture of Tejawat. Another potential track is Paro's cousin, Nandini. And may be Aman - Sunehri?? I am completely stressed out thinking that the show might end. Just wanted to vent out. Sorry people for my bakwaas. Will try to be like Paro. The glass is always half full. Btw, saw an interview of Sanaya by Team Sarun. Even Sanaya didn't look happy with the TRPs. Its like no one knows the pulse of the general audience. What would make them watch the show on TV. Also, came across ST's tweet a couple of days back.

"Ab toh Episode bhee achche hain.. Drama, Romance, gaana sab kuch hai... Ladki ko ladka.. Aur Ladke ko Maa bhee mil gayee.......Har koi tareef bhee kar rahaa hai.. Hero ko Jhalak mein bhee Bech diyaa.......Ab toh aa jaao maata.....TRPs".

    5. Moni - awesome post. Very well summarized. I really feel bad for Paro - she's caught between the frying pan and the fire! And Rudra does not even want to think about her. At least both Bapusa and maasa recognized it and verbalized it to her. I feel she's running between Rudra, Dilsher and Mala - and this is a girl who almost left Rudra 1 day ago? or was it 2? That's the speed I don't like about RR.

  2. Ever since I have been following Dia's blog I have noticed that she does not mind if someone has different opinion on the ongoing discussion, saying so I would like to say that I like what I see in all the latest episodes of RR!!
Agreed that if they would show a few lighter moments between the lead actors that would have have been a bonus, but they are laying a nice foundation for lots of future tracks plus giving us proper explanations/story of the past.

Waiting for all of that to be laid out in front of us and then probably we can actually comment on whether the ongoing plot is good or not.

One example I liked was that they showed why was Dhanveer in touch with Mala, his intention behind it. I was always curious to know about it since they showed him contacting her during the initial episodes.
Plus it was really clear today that Dilshad knows more than what is revealed to others whether its to his brother or to his son! But I was confused they showed that he did not like the fact that hid brother was in touch with his ex-wife, was this because Dhanveer hid this fact from him or if he still harbors some bitter feelings for Mala?

    1. Hey MB ... this is a place where we can discuss, and everybody is entitled to their POVs! It would be boring if we all agreed ... so feel free to express your views!

Re Danveer Dilsher ... I felt Danveer's disclosure deepened Dilsher's feeling of guilt, he realised again how much he had contributed to Rudra hating his mother so much, by taking him away so that Mala could not contact her son for fifteen years. Rudra's hatred for Mala didn't remain confined to that, it has corroded his entire life, all his relationships, his entire personality has been moulded by that feeling of abandonment. And Dilsher realises now how much he contributed to it, through his own anger and bitterness. Then he goes and talks to Paro, and she tells him that Rudra vented out on Mala, but that hasn't helped Rudra at all, it only hurt him more. So Dilsher realises that Rudra has to know the whole story, only then does he have the slightest chance at healing. That's probably why he tells Paro to bring Mala to the haveli.

I think age has brought both wisdom and maturity to Dilsher ... he has realised the mistakes he made with Rudra, and he wants to help heal Rudra before it's too late ... before Rudra destroys his budding relationship with Paro, and any chance he might have of finding love in his life.

    2. Hey Dia - absolutely love your pov. That's why I run to your posts on IF or come here to see what you have to say. I also feel that you stick with the serial and always try to present a positive spin.

I agree - it looked like Dilsher was upset at Danveer's confession because he probably felt that Mala had never ever tried to find out about Rudra and had never looked back. Now that he knows she did, he feels even more guilty. I think her planning to leave him was like a slap on the face and in his anger he continued letting Rudra feel the same. Time allows people to see things in a different perspective. I agree that he probably asked Paro to bring Mala in to clear things up. Love how the story is unfolding - but I do feel it's very rushed. Allowing viewers to absorb each part would have helped - it would have helped me at least.

    3. Hi Dia,

I totally accept your explanation, because its clear from Dilsher's words and actions that he wants to make amends with the past and help Rudra to heal and let his relationship with Paro blossom.
If you actually see this makes a good storyline, hope they portray it well on screen not that I doubt the caliber of any actors here!! ;-)

As you have already said you heard a 'rumor',!! so don't bother about it because there are many more out there. Simply sit back, relax and enjoy the show, I personally don't think they are going to replace RR so soon. ;-)
