Hospital ... Umaben agrees to Manav's marriage with Chhanchhan ... and packs Manav off to tell CC and her family.
BS family rather shocked ... all except Babuji, who implicitly believes in UB's decisions ... hmmm...
CC's family deep in discussion ... Dad is all ready to send Chanchan off for a nice vacation, so that she can forget Manav ... Manav arrives just in time to nix that thought ...
CC's mom and Dadi very happy ... Dad is very doubtful ... hmm, dad is a smart man!!! They should have listened to him ... no shaadi till Manav changes ;) Face at least ... come on, CV's!!!
And plans are made to visit the in-laws the next day to talk about the rishta ...
One hilarious scene with the brothers and their wives ... as Manthan starts to pour oil and stoke some fires ... how come Manav is allowed a love marriage, while none of them were allowed? How is he allowed to meet Chhanchhan, while elder brother was not even allowed to see his wife's face till the wedding?
Manav total dikra again ... mummee, mummee ... he seems to have forgotten his mom's drama completely ...
While Umaben sweet-talks Manav to regain his trust, CC's mom tries to persuade dad to accept Umaben ... CC's Dad, I love you, I really do, but I wish you'd put your foot down earlier and refused CC marrying into the family at all, rather than telling CC you would support her decision. Ab bhugto!
Oh well, phir show kaise chalta!
While CC's siblings pack the gifts for the sasuraal, CC makes one pertinent remark ... her sasuraal vaalas had better give her family as much respect as her family is giving them ... YESS!!! This I want to see!
Although CC seems to have swallowed Umaben's change of heart very easily ... come on, girl, smarten up!!! Not you too! Your dad is far smarter!
CC's mom dresses all Gujju style to impress the inlaws ... much to her own disgust!
And Umaben is plotting ... as expected, this was not a defeat ... it was merely a change of battle plan.

There are a few things which stood out after today's episode.
ReplyDelete1. It seems like the resentment of elder brother towards Uma Ben is because he had to give up the woman he loved and married Kamudi. Manthan was eluding to him not being able to stand his ground in front of their mother. Poor Kamudi seems completely ignorant of her husband's unhappiness.
2. Manthan is a trouble maker, but what he wants and why he likes to stir problems we don't know.
3. The middle one also seems a dhikra for now and Uma Ben's husband has blind trust and he has also been kept in dark about various things by his wife, she lies to him about small things, so God knows what else she hid or twisted.
4.Glad that at least CC's father is still not convinced. He made it clear that he is giving in for now for his daughter's happiness, but with reservations.
5. Dia, today I won't fault CC and her mother's blindness, especially CC's, she is a young girl in first flushes of love and she is desperately holding on to her dream of being married to her prince charming. Sometimes, when we want something badly we switch off logic and don't see the obvious, otherwise there would not be so many bad relations. Despite signs of something being not right we ignore it.
Here of course the show will not go on without this marriage.
We swallowed bigger duds in IPK, the most famous is Arnav's lack of dimaag in the entire second act and Khushi forgetting everything and forgiving Shyam!
I think a lot of our dislike is because of our opinion of FK, we don't want to see him and definitely don't want Sanaya anywhere near him.

did not watch the episode, sony seems to have stopped retelecast altogether.. and i definitely cannot watch first show.
Deletefrom the update, i agree, cc might have assumed that umaben conceded her son's wish.. after all, cc is used to family considering each other's feelings.. and she is practically a stranger to borisagar house settings.

DeleteInteresting points. The elder son - I feel he got married against his wishes and that is why UB shields Kaumudi so much ... of course Kaumudi is also the typical docile bahu that UB wanted always. The other two knew, but didn't say anything, or maybe he just gave in without much protest.
The middle one - he is a joru ka ghulam of sorts. He wanted to stay back to look after the kids with Ranjana when she offered to stay back ... and in hospital, the moment the bahus went in, he followed them. Just the feeling I get.
Ranjana being the kaamchor, slightly clever bahu, I think UB was worried that Manthan might also land up with a clever biwi, and Manthan being the smarter one, she made sure she got him a dumbo, to nip any rebellion in the bud. I have a feeling he is not very happy in his marriage.
We shall see how these dynamics unfold after the wedding ... it will be interesting to see the three sons' stories unfold.
I was happy to see CC's father still cautious about Umaben too ... and I found that most realistic.
Babuji is a dark horse. I still cannot figure how his character will unfold. UB said in one scene - she is the wife of a brahmin and the daughter of a baniya ... I think her husband is basically a very conscientious man and because of that, she has kept him in the dark about many of her doings ... once he starts seeing the truth, it will be interesting to see how he reacts.
I will swallow CC's blindness and naivety about Umaben for now ... agree, she is a young girl in love, she has never really come up against such a nasty woman before ... she can accept and appreciate that a mother can change her views for her son's sake ... and she wants to get married, so she WANTS to accept Umaben's change of heart too. And of course the marriage has to happen for the show to go on! :))) Yes, it's basically because we don't like FK that we are almost hoping for the marriage to break ... even though we know it won't!
Needed to add two more things. First, why are CVs trying to market a nonexistent chemistry. The precap was just horrendous. It is further damaging their prospects, they must know their jodi has not clicked and Arshi is till very fresh in people's mind.
ReplyDeleteSecond, and this my own assumption, is that Sanaya not taking up JDJ may also do with not wanting to be in direct competition with her friend DD. Shooting schedule maybe an issue, but last year she was keen to take part when the kidnapping track was going on and she was shouldering most of the show.

EXACTLYYYY!!! The cv's know the chemistry is not working ... WHY shove it down our throats?!!! And they know the calls for a better Manav ... do they really think by giving forced romance, they can reclaim the show? Far better to drop the romance quotient and get on with the main story.
DeleteWhen PKDH started, the girl was REALLY WOODEN ... as wooden as FK ... the difference is the guy was okay, not brilliant either, so they managed ... but they just dropped all attempts at romance and kept it a simple family drama. The girl has improved marginally, they have kept it a family drama ... and the romance is still MINIMAL!!! They have hardly any chemistry ... I think the guy admitted that they didn't get along too well at the start, but now they do ... but their relationship on screen is more friendly than romantic ... the same as it is off screen.
Uma, I think Sanaya was offered JDJ before DD was ... she refused, then they took Drashti. My feeling is, FK takes so much time for his shots, she dropped the idea for this year, thinking that she needs to give more time to CC ... after all, it is her show. Also JDJ is good for actors with BW aspirations, as they can be noticed by the filmmakers ... since Sanaya has no major BW aspirations, and her priority is her TV career, she decided to give her show priority. IPK was not her show ... it revolved around Arnav, even though she was shouldering most of the screen space by the end. Here she isn't ... still she didn't want to take part ... Maybe she knows that after the wedding, her part will increase ... she will be in the BS house, so she will interact with all members of the family, and be the central character, much like Khushi.
True, she may have lots to do once she is in Borasagar family and I pray that most scenes are with other actors and FK is relegated to the background!!

Sanaya dancing on halkat jawani offscreen aww. Cut to srman and sanaya reporter says manav is falling for bharti or something srman saying let him fall ROLF sanaya smiling. Cut to FK standing with san and saying she looks beautiful (creep) and sanaya says he also looks good which actually looked forced lol which is my opinion so you need to watch that seg ;)

He had the same expressions with bharti that he has with Sanaya and Supriya ... he couldn't even smile khul ke ... what is wrong with the guy?! Everyone was enjoying and doing masti, and this guy is so stiff!!!
Srman never leaves a single chance to make fun of FK ... today even Sanaya said it ... get me someone else!!! Poor girl!!
yep, those compliments sounded very forced ... FK tried his best to sound sincere, so did Sanaya ... She normally gets along with everyone, this has to be a first ... apart from Rati, who also had a diva, I'm the best attitude ... seems FK has the same ... he knows producerwala :(((
BTW I am not watching CC I don't know but something is wrong with this serial I think by august first week this serial is going to end its my intuition (Mind you I said IPK will end by dec which actually came true so I am even more worried lol).To be honest san needs break she needs to sort out what she wants to do and come back with a good role I am ready to wait for her but she needs to do something better than CC. I guess PH made story sound like this is the best thing and san actually believed them but now its more like a fuski bomb no problem it happenes kabhi kabhi galat decisions ho jate hai but this show needs to end soon because I don't see any improvement in this show even in future so ya. Also one of the reason the show is not working is fk and sanaya's chemistry see when I see them I feel like stay away from sanaya you moron otherwise I'll hit you with my danda opp what I felt for arhi where I use to wait for rabba ve moment even if it was not required.

Hi NB, I have the same feeling when I see Farhan around Sanaya. Infact, despite the producer's attempt to get back viewers with this naach gaana, quite the opposite is happening, because there is no chemistry between lead pair and FK looks positively weird and creepy.
DeleteJust yesterday I said that I want the show to end by March next year, my reasoning being, a one year run is decent. Second, she can rest for a month or two and participate in JDJ without having other commitments. Later she can be back with a good show and PH. I think Sanaya will think long and hard about her next outing, she is quite attuned with her fans/ viewers opinions and by now the negative buzz must have reached her.
I don't want this show to tie down Sanaya for too long. If this serial ends way before March, so be it. Sanaya is too conscientious to quit, so the show has to be pulled out by channel.
