6/8 - Epi 158 ... Inviting Trouble ... or Trouble Invites Itself

Wednesday 6th August

Myrah Mehra's motto seems to be ... do unto others as they do unto you.

If people are good to her, she'll be good to them ... which also means, if they fall in with her wishes, she'll be good to them.
If they don't, they're in trouble.

As Rudra is shortly going to find out ... to his cost.

Yep, she's determined and stubborn with it ... she wants her way ... she can coax, wheedle, be sweet and charm her way through in most places ... but if she comes up against opposition, then she'll play dirty.
And Rudra was VERY rude ... even knowing his story, I felt like giving him a whack ...

More clues about Myrah being Paro ... she calls Maithili Jeeja.

Just hope they don't make Myrah too klutzy and OTT like Khushi, that's all. :(

Episode -
Episode starts with Myrah requesting Maithili to show her around the house ... Maithili doesn't quite know what to say ... Rudra says no, Myrah marches up to him, and disarms him completely by falling on her knees and asking for permission. Flabbergasted Rudra can't refuse! Mission accomplished.

Maithili shows Myrah the house ... and mentions their old one was better. Myrah asks why they moved from there ... Maithili is silent. Thought they could have inserted a flashback there.
Samrat comes asking for his wallet ... Myrah gabbles about all Indian husbands being the same ... they all lose their wallets and expect their wives to find them.
Her dad is the same. Okayyyy ...
Myrah tells Maithili she is here for a destination wedding. Did she mention it was her own?

Samrat and Maithili wonder at destiny ... a girl who looks exactly like Paro ...

Kakusa also wondering at destiny and the cruel fate which led Myrah here ... Mohini is conviced it's not cruel destiny or fate ... it's a bhoot ... otherwise why would a girl with the same face land up here, and get so attached to Dhruv so quickly?
She has a point.

Myrah gels with Shatabdi, out to make friends with Myrah because she let drop that she's rich ... Myrah compliments her figure ... Sumer says it's because she uses him as a treadmill.
Shatabdi tells Myrah Mohini is a mad old servant ... getting back at Mohini for telling her that Maithili was a cow?
Myrah asks Shatabdi names of relationships in Rajasthan ... including older sister. Jeeja.

Myrah wanders around again as Shatabdi and Sumer flee from Mohini ... sees Dilsher and Mala's picture (very badly photoshopped ... isse toh they could have put up two separate ones!) and thinks they're king and queen of the palace. Makes her way to another room, and almost goes in ... Rudra makes a sprint for it and stops her ... it's his room, and she's not allowed inside.
Okay ... sorry.
Maithili brings her tea ... Myrah chokes on it ... Rudra panics, and forgets she's not Paro ... 'upar dekh, Paro!'
Myrah tells him to relax ... it's just tea.
She needs to wash it off ... washroom please?

In her absence, Rudra lets his pain show through ... why won't this girl leave?! Make her go! She's opening up his wounds again ... Maithili sympathises ...
And they both do a double take as they see Paro ... sorry, Myrah ... coming towards them with a dupatta on her head ... Myrah ... or Paro??? Rudra and Maithili shell shocked. Rudra remembers Paro on their wedding day ... the Maha Shivratri one ... he can't take it, and walks away.

Myrah babbles cheerfully about the beautiful dupatta the lovely haveli, the wonderful people ... and drops her bombshell ... can she stay there please? Just for a few days?
Mohini doesn't want ... but Myrah is persuasive ... like a bulldozer. She loves the place, she gets positive vibes here ... she feels as though ...
Sumer can be persuaded with money ... and Myrah has plenty of it ...

But Rudra isn't so easy to ride roughshod over. He throws Myrah out bodily ... more memories of another time, another place, and another girl ... or is it the same girl?
Paro refused to leave ... and Myrah refuses to leave too. This is an insult ... and she's not taking it. By hook or by crook, she will be back.
Rudra banna asked for trouble this time ... or rather, he invited it himself. Throwing out Myrah like that was not such a good idea ... she didn't like it at all. And apparently Myrah is as stubborn as Paro ... and better connected.

Precap ... Paro used sheer persistence and the power of the BSD ... Myrah uses political clout. End result is the same. She's back in the haveli.

I thought Myrah was really cute today, but I agree, no OTT antics, there are some IPK scenes I still cringe thinking about!
The last scene was so cute and reminiscent of when Rudra pushed out Paro after she proposed....but Myrah's reaction was awesome, she is a very relatable character as I know that was a complaint before....I like the comedy, the little dig that "I thought at these situations everyone crowds around to watch" made me chuckle. I liked this episode and the parallels and connection between Myrah and Paro, it's subtle and artfully done, which is a nice change!
But agree with you Dia.....please keep the FL's dignity intact!!!!
Just want to say hats off to SI, AS and the rest of the cast ( Maithili and Kaaki sa were so good today) They are doing a marvellous job in their new roles as is the rest of the cast!!!

  2. Today's episode was okay too, looks like we have to be satisfied with such episodes for now, I am still hoping once all the cards are played out it may pick up pace.
Myra is not Paro, that's for sure, ( maybe there is some sort of connection, but then again makers can show anything! ) the qualities and behavior that she exhibits is not something that can be learnt or developed in 7 years, they are something she has developed since childhood, your upbringing the environment where you grew up and so on...Dia your first few lines on Myra today is something that went through my mind while watching the episode too, she was quick to fall on her knees and fake beg Rudra to give her permission to tour the haveli, she will do anything to get things she likes ( she's not a bad person ) but she is very sly and knows money talks, looks like Sumer-Shatabdi are going to best friends with her soon ;-) wait they already are!!!!!!!, Sumer's immediate 'bag laa doon?' as Myra kept increasing her bid to stay at the haveli was LOL :-))
I don't support Rudra's behaviour towards Myra, its not gentleman like at all, then when you think about I don't think the term 'manners' is present in Rudra's dictionary, he was always curt with everybody and agreed that it is torturous to see your wife's look alike whom he was crazy about and who was taken away from him and their newborn so violently everyday, it will be constant visual reminder and moreover his poor kid is thinking his mom is back which is not healthy, that's a lot of baggage, I cannot think what might be anybody's reaction in such situation, its too overwhelming to even think clearly, god is definitely playing a cruel joke on him :-((
So he throws Myra out of the house disposing her idea of staying there, ( for the first time looks like Mohini agreed with Rudra's decision here! )but Myra vows to get her wish fulfilled too and looks like in the precap she has already found a way to twist Rudra's arm through her powerful uncle!
Liked Sanaya in the last scene, she was funny ;-)

P.S. Karma bites back, Mohini and Sumer had once made fun of Mathili by calling her 'gaay' to distract Shatabdi, and today Shatabdi calls Mohini 'paagal budiya naukraani ' to Myra and she believes it!

    1. Tomorrow is TRP day. Last week the TRP improved by a good margin. Let's see how things turn out. The Channel, PH and the CVs might wait for another 2 - 3 weeks' TRP ratings before deciding to make any changes. Atleast that is my guess.

It was an ok episode. More like a filler episode like yesterday's. The only outcome is that Myrah is going to enter the haveli using her uncle's influence.

I didn't like the way Rudra got rid of Myrah. But I can only feel sorry for him. Especially when Myrah spilled her tea and Rudra was his usual concerned self. Life is indeed playing a cruel joke on him. :( Poor guy. :(

Will wait and see, what Myrah is up to. And hopefully, we get to see the Rohit guy next week. Like Dia pointed out, the unceremonious ousting of Myrah reminded of Paro. The only difference is that unlike Paro, Myrah failed to invoke any sympathy from me.

P.S.: Never liked spoiled brats, especially rich ones. As such, I am finding it difficult to show interest in RR. And the CVs show this. :( I guess #SUCHISLIFE.

  3. So was browsing through few serials today to see what was going on.. and there is this serial on star plus Pyaar ka dard hai- pretty popular and kinda long running, it too currently shows the lead actress Pankudi dead/missing and her husband Adi is devastated at her loss and then comes her look alike Ayesha and there is more story to this but the similarity with RR is that of the same looking feature/wife, my point is in today's episode,Ayesha is in love with Adi( knows all the history with his wife and family and that she is look alike)but she is agonized as to how to tell the hero because he is already in so much pain about his wife's death and her face will constantly remind him of that. So the hero's granny/aunt ( i am not sure, I don't follow it ) tells her she should make sure that Adi loves her for her and her personality and make sure that he overlooks her face even though it resembles his wife's.!..., I felt that what she suggested was good idea, and in terms of RR I felt it can be applicable too! I guess it depends on how they execute it in case they are going to show no connection between Paro and Myra, What to you think ladies? :-)

    1. It would have been a good idea, if the CVs had not drummed the soulmate / Shiv-Parvati / divine love concepts in our heads for seven months. In the end, none of us but the CVs get to decide the future of Rudra and Myrah. They could keep our hopes (that Paro is Myrah) till the last minute and then decide to show that Paro is dead and Myrah is just a lookalike who has fallen for Rudra. I am sure there have been many shows that have used the 'hero falls for wife's lookalike' formula. I have seen that in movies too. But the problem with RR is that the leads have made it impossible for us to forget Paro and Rudra. The love story part of RR also was not executed properly, though it was not as bad as the other plots. For example, Paro realizing her love for Rudra. Still we like it because of the acting. It would be easy for the CVs, if Myrah is in fact Paro. The fans are ready to digest any kind of stupid reason, just to bring Paro back. If the CVs decide to use the Pyaar ka dard hai option, they really have to work hard to convince the audience that Rudra and Myrah are made for each other. I highly doubt that. The CVs struggled to execute Paro-Rudra's story. The only saving grace was AS-SI chemistry. And I don't see that old chemistry now. Atleast not yet. Is it because of their costumes? Or character transformations? Plot? I guess all. Hope this answers your question.

    2. Well, if the CVs think, 'Dekhna hai toh dekh, nahi toh math dekh', then anything could happen!!!! We just have to take it with a pinch of salt. :( :(

    1. Just as well for the actors. Poor things did not have much of a role to play. Given the way RR has panned out lately, I watch intermittently and then only for the exceptional scenes that you guys praise. At 158 episodes, it is the actors who command my attention and certainly not the story (?) line. The journos and IF are interesting reads as the latest movie added to RR's plot is "Kaho na Pyaar hai" - kiya khichdi pakayi hai :-(((

    2. Forgot to add - we always complained about how much time was allotted to Rudra's pain and his journey out of the black hole - perhaps that is the essence remaining of RR and Myra will lead him out of the misery he is in currently, just like Paro took him out of the pain that his parents had inflicted upon him as a child. Saying this, am glad Myra is getting more screen time for her part in the story than Paro ever did.

    3. Oh wait till we hear the complete story of Myrah. Until now, we have seen only her uncle.
