Friends ... that's all. Myrah shocked at first, holds no grudges ... Rudra gave a genuine apology, she accepts it instantly, takes up the mantle of friendship happily ... and challenges Rudra to fulfill the meaning of the word. Rudra for the first time, is amused, not annoyed, at her unstoppable high spirits.
One quick trip fall catch ... broken more slowly this time ... Myrah hears bells ringing again and lets go ... still wondering, what the heck are those things?!
Myrah, we're wondering the same thing too!
Which Rudra does, the very next morning ... as Myrah wants to make breakfast for the family ... Shatabdi is only to happy ... Maithili tries to put Myrah in her place ... she's a guest, not part of the family. Myrah, blase and impervious to disapproval, wants to make breakfast anyway ... so Shatabdi and Maithili leave her to it.
And Rudra gets the opportunity to show just how good a friend he can be ... when he says something, he means it. So when the entire family is dubious about her misshapen rotis, even the kids laugh at them, Rudra eats them without complaint ... the shape doesn't matter ... and the taste is good for a first attempt.
Much to everyone's shock ... Rudra not fighting with Myrah, not making fun of her?
Maithili is really not happy. When did the fighting change to friendship? And what will it mean for Rudra? Is it really good for him to get friendly with Myrah?
Maithili sorting out her achaar ... Myrah joins in to help ... and Maithili asks a few probing questions about Myrah's fiance ...
Maithili jija, not bad ... we also have the same questions.
Myrah makes it clear she isn't in love with Rohit, they're good friends, that's all ... family friends ... she doesn't miss him or her parents very much, because she feels so much at home here. Everyone is so good to her. And she really doesn't believe in eternal love and all that. Friendship is a good enough basis for marriage.
Myrah doesn't seem to be very perceptive ... the kids have accepted her happily, no one else really has. Except now, Rudra ... he's extended the hand of friendship and seems to be happy with it.
Maybe Rudra needs a friend with whom he can interact without the memories of Paro coming in between ... apart from the face, that is. Because nothing else is like Paro ... scratch deeper, and everything else is like Paro.
Maithili's visitors arrive ... Maithili is going the Mohini way ... fixing a match for him, and she didn't bother to tell Rudra the reason the visitors were coming? Myrah wonders why she has been banished to her room ... and sends her detectives to find out. Koel does the needful ... two visitors, one fat, one thing, one old, one young.
Myrah and kids peep ... trying, and almost succeeding in making Rudra laugh ... Myrah is very happy at the thought of Rudra re-marrying. After all, they're friends now, and she would like her friend to be happy.
Until Rudra figures out the reason the visitors are there ... and loses no time in making things very clear to Maithili.
He's not happy at all at the thought of re-marriage ... far from it.
He's not in the market for a wife ... not now, not ever.
Love happens only once in life ... it's happened to him, it's not going to happen again.
He can live the rest of his life with Paro's memories ... he doesn't need anything more ... neither he nor Dhruv.
All in a calm, firm voice ... no anger, no taandav ... this is a changed Rudra. He has no hangups, no emotional baggage ... Paro healed him. She completed him ... he needs nothing and no one else.
Maithili tries to make him see reason ... he needs to move on. It's been seven years.
Seven years or seventy ... Rudra is not interested ... because he will never love again.
And Myrah listens ... and wonders ... can there really be a love like this? Can love be like this?
Precap ... Myrah kidnapped.

Looks like they are paving way for Myra to start falling for Rudra or vice versa, scratch that because Rudra said you fall in love only once, and he already has and its enough for him to live the rest of his life!, that means if the whole equation has work out then Myra= Paro has to happen or any relation must be shown or are am I seeing what I wanna?!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am totally baffled as to where this is going?
ReplyDeleteOne one end I heard that after some drama, Rudra and Myra are gonna end up getting married and the show is gonna have a happy ending, if that's the case why did the idiots have to kill Paro?
And few more news suggests that RR has got extension and they are going to get new characters and plots to the show- whatever it is looks like I need a break from all this, maybe if I start watching it after a break of few weeks I may be interested in whatever it is that they are showing. :-/ :-(
Hello ladies.
DeleteDidn't watch the episode yet. But Dia's update and Meenu's post in IF gave me a good feel about today's episode. Myrah - Rudra friendship, Rudra denying second marriage and acting as a matured guy seem to be the highlights of the episode. May be Rudra was sent for a six when he met his dead wife's lookalike. So, he was being his defensive self all the time, misjudging her. Now, he seems to have come to terms with the new girl's presence in his haveli and has made peace with her, thinking that she is here only for ten days. Will be interesting to watch Rudra's reaction, when this notion of his changes. Looks like the CVs will not reveal the truth about Myrah till the very last minute. If that is the case, I don't want Rudra falling for her. I would rather have Myrah falling for him. Rudra is one character who has not been destroyed by the CVs. I want him to remain the way he is.
@Morning Breeze: Udit (Sumer) has tweeted that the official announcement regarding the show will be made on Thursday. No point in over-analyzing this. At this juncture, I am not blaming anyone but the channel for butchering the show. And now, they are not giving a direct reply about the future of the show. If Big Boss was to return after 8 months, why did they give the 9:30 PM slot to RR? They could have given that slot to some other show (with good TRPs). Was it over-confidence? No idea what these idiots are doing.

It's rather weird situation here - the actors are being used to relay information to the audience about the show - should this not be the job of PH or Channel? Earlier twist and change was coming through as tweets by Ashish. Now they are using Geetanjali and Udit to announce potential closure of the show.
DeleteIf the show gets an extension to December, then the PH should also ensure that the remaining material lasts them the remaining 3-4 months. ST's team has a tendency to present six month's worth of story line at supersonic speed leaving us all totally lost.
Whichever way it goes, I hope they do end up showing Myra = Paro; otherwise the whole essence of RR will be destroyed.
It was quite a nice episode ... calmer on all fronts. Am glad that Myrah has stopped behaving like a spoiled brat, and Rudra like a grouchy old man of 80. They are both calming down ... I like the way they are showing friendship developing between them, rather than rushing into love.
DeleteA thought occurred to me ... Myrah is probably the first person Rudra has interacted with so closely after the death of Paro ... the first person who doesn't know him as Paro's Rudra ... but instead see him just as a man ... she doesn't know Paro or her story. So in a way it is easier for Rudra to be friends with her, because that shadow of pity and sympathy is not there with Myrah, the way it is with everyone else. Sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers, who don't know anything about you and have no preconceived ideas. Maithili, Danveer, Samrat and all, they all feel sorry for Rudra and Dhruv .. even Mohini does ... so they tend to treat him with kid gloves and a 'poor Rudra, poor Dhruv' attitude.
Just saying ... this struck me while I was watching the scene where Rudra is sitting with the prospective bride, and Myrah is happily making faces at him from upstairs, and trying to make him smile. She makes him forget that deep sorrow in his heart momentarily.
All this is of course if Myrah is not Paro ... and even if she is ... She is repeating Paro's job of bringing Rudra out of his past ... this time the past is his wife's 'death', not his mom's desertion.
The other way of looking at it is ... Paro taught Rudra the meaning of love, something he didn't believe in ... now Rudra believes in love, so he will teach Myrah the meaning of love ... this is more likely to be the track if Myrah is not Paro.
I think the entire team in on tenterhooks about the show ... and for most of the actors, it's their first brush with so much fame on Twitter suddenly. First if was Ashish's turn ... he got inundated with tweets and he responded, before he started getting the bashing when he and Archana posted their private pics ... so he has retreated.... now it's Geetanjali and Udit ... Only difference i neither of them is likely to get bashed so they will probably continue interacting with the fans.
ST seems to have gone into hiding on twitter ... poor guy must be under a lot of pressure.
Watched the episode and I liked it. It was a well-balanced episode. It was nice to see Myrah and Rudra not hurling abuses at each other. The trip-fall was badly done - noticed Myra looking up at the ceiling even before the ghanti started ringing - bad editing.
ReplyDeleteI do not approve Maithili's plan of trying to get Rudra married without his consent. She was as bad as Mohini although her intentions were good (unlike Mohini's). But she is the only one Rudra trusts (after Paro), so what she did was very wrong and embarrassing. And why was the 'girl' ogling Rudra? That was very strange - especially since they have come for a rishta for him. Akward!
Rudra's dialogs were heart wrenching. The poor guy is still so in love with Paro - and I don't blame him - I can relate - I am still in love with Paro as well ;)
Myra was so stunned by that! Looks like Rohit se shaadi cancel! And why did Maithili say too much of anything is not good - even love? I understand she feels bad for Rudra but she knew Paro and she knows their story - so if he still holds a candle for her - so what? And 7 years is not that much time - some people need much more time to grieve and let go. Thinking of it - I remember Samrat and Maithili saying that it's ok if they don't ever have kids - they are fine with just having each other forever. How's that different than what Rudra has for Paro? Granted he is now a hollow man and although he says he and Dhruv are fine - they still pine for her. I agree Rudra should move on - but give him time to grieve and let him be ready to marry someone else (let's not go RR speed here - ek episode mein done). Speaking of marrying someone else, is it OK if he marries someone else just for Dhruv, while he still yearns for Paro? Is it fair on his new wife?
Delicate situation - let's hope CVs handle it delicately even if it is with Myra. I see Myra falling for Rudra very quickly. And Rudra seeing Paro every time he sees Myrah.
Hope RR is extended - looking forward to seeing the kamaal ka twist!
The episode was good. Rudra was the star of the episode. I can understand why Maithili is doing this. There is no need to worry about Rudra. But Dhruv has to be taken care of. If Myrah leaves the haveli after getting married, how will Dhruv cope up? Her intentions are good, but she should have mentioned this to Rudra. Anyways, his intentions are clear now. I am now confused like Morning Breeze. Where is this plot leading to? Rudra and Myrah have become friends. Looks like Myrah has been kidnapped. What next? How will Myrah and Rudra get married?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed today's episode but looking fwd to the kidnapping ...some action is always nice especially if we get the siggy Rudra Paro pose :) Also i still think the bell sounds are 'ringing a bell' in Myrah's mind which signifies trying to remember something in the english language so i'm still thinking Myrah is Paro ...and i want to address her fear of needles! What if she had received lots of injections due to an accident or illness about , oh i don't know 7 years ago that makes her reluctant to get needles again? ok i know i'm probably reaching but it's fun to speculate,
ReplyDeleteI like how Rudra 2.0 smiles much more easily and admits his failings, he was also downright polite to the rishta auntie and girl.... all bc of Paro's effects on him , he has grown in some ways...which is why I believe him when he says he's fine without a wife, he still loves Paro and happy with status quo, he misses her yes but he doesn't seem 'incomplete'...so i dont think he really needs a spouse (except for Parooooooo)
i think maithili meant well but she pulled a mohini on him today with that rishta! nice to see goody goody character like maithili have some faults, i feel it humanizes the characters more and makes them relatable.
all in all, i like the episodes as individuals but i want some story progression now! please hopefully this show goes to december at least and we can have a nice meaty storyline till then.....hopefully!
Kiran
oh and i have to add, please BURN that purple and red monstrosity of a suit Rudra was wearing, EEEEKS!...on a side note, a very observant IF member said that it was the same colors as Paro's 'vidvaa" outfit Shantanu had switched on her, the colors of a widower, so that might explain why he wore it in that rain scene when he remembered Paro and again perhaps today ...but still it's ugly, no more CVS pleeej!
DeleteAgree with this totally ... that blue horror with the bright red shirt and tie needs to be burnt. And while they're about it, can they burn the grey check shirt with MATCHING grey check tie ... I shuddered when I saw that!!! YUCK!!!! Shirt and tie SEPARATELY please ... NOT together!!!!
