Khushi saying goodbye to Arnav, from tonight he will be officially Lavanya's ... she says farewell with a smile ... or tries her best to. And tries to ignore the stabbing pain in her heart, a pain she doesn't even fully understand. Or maybe she does understand it, but doesn't want to face it. Because he is not hers, he never was, and now he never will be. And another reason to stay away from him and RM now ... Slimeball.

Lavanya saying goodbye to Khushi, for tonight she hands her love over to Khushi, to the girl who needs and deserves him more, the girl he needs as much as he loves ... and the girl who taught her so much.Taught them both so much.
An episode with much pathos and a pervading sadness, in spite of the happy occasion.
Moment of the day for the sheer sweetness - Khushi tells La that her gift is not real gold. La tells her she knows, and it's even more precious than gold.
Duh moment - Arnav asking La is she is leaving. In his own way, Arnav is somewhat like Anjali - he doesn't like the unpleasantness of partings, because he has seen the worst of them.
Was it by accident that Anjali included Khushi in her welcome for Payal, the new to-be bride of the house? Accident or not, another sign!
Guptas see Shyam for the first time in his real avatar. Dirty looks from one and all. Anjali excuses Khushi's fiance's absence - she has a lot of practice!
Anjali says Khushi's fiance is the unlucky one, for what he has lost. Hullo, he didn't break it, Khushi did! However dumb Anjali may be about her own husband, she is very sweet and empathetic to Khushi's pain.
Most satisfying moment of the day - Khushi blasts Shyam, and threatens him to behave himself in future, or else he's in trouble. And stay away from her!
I LOVE Sanaya in her angry confrontation scenes, she gets her voice modulation just perfect ... the anger and the intense dislike all the more pronounced for the low, even tones in which her words are uttered - Khushi means business and Slimeball better know it! And Slimeball sees Khushi restrain Buaji, and he knows he's in trouble for sure, there is a very thin line restraining the Guptas from spilling the beans.

Khushi gives Arnav an engagement gift, he is surprised, but she clarifies that she has one for La as well, trying desperately to show that he is not special to her, not any more than La, and he goes silent. She thanks him for Payash and congratulates him again ... she's happy for him and La. Or rather, she's trying desperately to be. Bright smile pinned determinedly on face, all the right words ... graceful, dignified, concealing so much heartbreak under that soft smile and calm exterior ... he's gone, lost to her finally, this is the last goodbye.
How does he tell her she's wrong? That it's not the last goodbye? He owes it to La ... and to her ... to wait till Payash engagement is safely and irreversibly final ... the last request La made him and he has to honour. And the one he knows means so much to Khushi.

That little moment said SO MUCH as to how far La has come. I think she is almost as much in love with Khushi as Arnav is - for how can anyone NOT love this girl? Both the girls, actually ... their unlikely friendship has been one of the sweetest things on this show.

ReplyDeleteI thought the scene was nicely done. He has just broken up with his GF, She is upset and contrary to Lavanya's assurances, he knows she is heartbroken. He also is worried about his bro's engagement getting through and him having to face his family and the last person he needs to see atm is the person he loves gifting him an engagement person for an engagement that is not going to happen with a girl he is definitely not going to get engaged to and ppl are worried he didn't go rabba veying at that moment, especially when he sees Khushi wishing him whole heartedly, a tad too cheerful in her wishes maybe *sigh*
Arshi: Loved everything you wrote.
La -Arnav scene: Again beautifully done and La stole the scene there, again.
Shyam - Khushi: Sanaya rocked that one. I love her voice modulations there are loads of them but during the bandagement scene - aap kya chahtay hain humsay (confusion, frustration at his lack of clarity, was too good).
La - Khushi: They have a beautiful friendship, the day they bring La as vamp in the show, the day you can safely assume this show is on its way down. Rest completely agree.
Prediction: My prediction accuracy rate is extremely consistent - 50%, lol. Even I was a bit surprised that for a change I got it right fully.
WT: They have picturized a song and nothing about it in the precap or promo, this PH is suffering from severe case of Anjali-osis.
Precap & epi prediction.
They all come down, song happens, Arnav concerned for La, Khushi senses something is wrong, during the song, an ARHI moment or two. La notices Arnav looking at khushi, arnav looking at khushi and coming to terms and evaluating his feelings for her.
Song ends. La leaves. R family shocked they all assemble at Arnav's room. Arnav breaks the news. Naani & Anjali furious. Mami chance maarofies and asks how will this one happen saasuma, without arnav getting engaged first. Let us postpone this.
Anjali (based on her precap reaction) explodes. See what you have done, you have broken la's heart, that is between you two, but why did it take you so long to figure out. Forget it, did you think about akash and payal. Gupta family are already upset with Khushi's engagement being called off and now because of your actions, Payal's will also be called off. How selfish you can get. Arnav & R family shocked what khushi's engagement is off, when did this happen. Anjai continuing her tirade against Arnav, Do you know how heartbreaking it is when something like this happens, I have undergone it, Khushi is going through it too, I won't let Payal undergo it...Hum yeh nahin honay dengey chotey, You created this situation, you fix it, either she will suggest Khushi's name (unlikely) or Khushi will come wanting to check what is going on cos from the Gupta's she is the only one who knows the R Family well enough to enter such a private conversation. Arnav calculates, realizes abhi nahin toh kabhi nahin, he has come this close to losing Khushi once, won't let it happen again,but why will she say yes after all that I have done to her and remembers she would do anything for her Jiji's happiness, strides over and asks point blank, KKG, will you marry me? ASR style: Cos if I dont get engaged now, your jiji's engagement will be postponed. Everything is in your hands, decide now.
R family again shocked, you are kidding, you cant just..Arnav interrupts, why? dont you guys like Khushi? Khushi is stunned, furious with Arnav yet says Yes.
*PHEW* I know i am desperate that they get together, let their love story begin later yaar, I am starved. *DROOL SCENE* After engagement, they bend down to touch naani's feet for aashirwad, arnav looking at khushi either a wink or a deliberate slight push of the shoulder*drool again*

I found the Arnav-Khushi scene very poignant too ... I didn't even think about his not admiring her - the emotions were so deep and intense there, and so much hidden and unsaid. First of all, his being surprised that SHE had brought HIM a gift ... does anyone ever gift him anything at all - except his sister, who keeps giving him kurtas that he never wears! And then the way she reminded him of how much he had changed ever since he had met her ... is he or is he not planning to accept his feelings for her?!
While Khushi is trying her best to hide that ache in her heart and be truly happy for him and Lavanya ... Loved the part where she turns to go and then stops for a moment - their faces ... :((( as though they both have so much to say, and neither can say anything. Beautiful moment.
I actually didn't notice the Arnav-La moments so much, they were ok, already done the previous day, didn't really need repetition, IMO. But the La-Khushi scene was beautiful ... that was the one that brought tears to my eyes, especially La, as she tries to control her tears and smile for Khushi, in the same way that Khushi hides her tears and smiles for the world.

I do wonder what she gave him, a book, photo frame or devi maiyya photo (with a note saying she knows he doesn't believe in god, but hopes he will keep it with him safely so DM will protect him). They better show what she gifted him and his reaction to it, wanna bet he would be smiling after seeing it?
arnav-la: Excellent point, now that you mention it, even I felt, enough already. I mean I get it she is upset and he is being there for her, but kuch zyada hi ho gaya. 2 Reasons I can think of: 1. The PH team wanted to showcase Sana's acting for her future assignments 2. By showing her heartbroken and all, if she comes back, she is going to be furious that Arnav & Khushi got engaged within hours of her leaving, she would feel that they went behind her back - her BF & her BFF. So the angle on being negative(That would be ridiculous ofcourse if they resort to something like that).
And it beats me if she has not already figured out Arnav does not have feelings for Khushi. Helloo..He has called Lavanya as Khushi 3 times, Always listens and does exactly what Khushi asks him to do, shouldn't she have guessed already. I want to see how they give her exit, is she sad or upset at arnav & khushi.
La has been a good character, hope they leave us with good memories of her.
Intense, passion: Oh yeah!!! HE BETTER! Or else Devi maiyya will have to come down and dry roast the both of them in Menthos. Damn these weekends. Not even a promo. This PH DESERVES a big kick in the u know what, granted they can't reveal the next track, arrey song ka to promo bana saktay hain na, grrr..

In sbb they showed that Arnav announces it to everyone and everyone sort of accepts it. I guess he must have already informed them before. Khushi is furious with him as usual, but the scene I am drooling over is where he drags her away in his usual style *chalo aur kuch nahin toh passionate dragging is back, sigh*
Still hoping for something good, let us see.
I haven't seen the SBS yet *crying* ... need to watch it asap! I read about the dragging away bit ... thank god something started! They were being entirely too touch-me-not after both got engaged!
ReplyDeleteYes, the childish look is gone ... I much prefer these new Anarkali style suits. Hope they change the hairstyle too, not too much ... just make it a ponytail rather than a plait over the shoulder, like Payal, and let it be a little loose.

ya, me too doubting, see my see saw engagement hoga-engagement nahin hoga has already begun lol. With a new entry, the possibility of engagement looks remote and the R family not protesting too much, it looks unlikely.
