All about rishta pakka.
Khushi ecstatic when she gets back home, tries to mime out why she's so happy as she's not supposed to say it in words. Really, Khushi, sweetheart ... you would never win a prize in Dumb Charades! Thankfully, Payal, Garima and Buaji live up to their dumbness.
Shyam asks Khushi angrily where she went so late at night ... Khushi glares back and doesn't deign to answer him. I love seeing Shyam's annoyance every time Khushi ignores him!
Next morning, Khushi again tries to tell Payal, while getting her ready ... Raizadas arrive ... another happy moment as Buaji wonders aloud why entire Raizada family has landed up, and Slimeball ki havaiyan gul. Slimeball Rat runs for cover to his room, and shuts door ... Slimeball, will you have to spend your entire life behind closed doors now?! *rofl* What fun!
Raizada parivar enters, sans Arnav ... Payal has a 'duh' moment as she wonders if they have come to complain about her and Akash ... Khushi asks Anjali that her hubby hasn't come ... of course not, sweetheart, he's skulking in your back bedroom! Loved seeing Shyam's frustration build ... he is going to oppose this marriage tooth and nail!An entire lifetime of skulking lies ahead of him if it goes ahead!
Payal looking total Dukhi Aatma ... Khushi goes to close door, just as Arnav enters ... hand on hand ... I liked this little moment ... As though Khushi is trying to close the doors of her heart, but Arnav enters regardless.
Arnav makes himself at home, Nani starts rishta talk ... small cross-connection ... then things clear. Akash's rishta, not Arnav's. Cute byplay between brothers. Nani finally gets to the point - we want Payal for Akash.
Buaji, Garima dumbfounded ... Slimeball frustrated like hell! He immediately tries to call his Pawn, realises he can't call from inside the house, so he has to get out ... but the window is stuck.
Mami says, what to do, love ka chakkar hai ... just as Khushi offers Arnav tea ... another momentary eyelock, then Khushi quietly keeps the tea in front of Arnav and disappears.
Mami goes on about status etc., Mama has to intercede, Arnav looking as annoyed as the rest at Mami's status talk ...
Buaji upset, but Nani intercedes ... rishta pakka.
Didn't really understand the need for the kitchen scene, unless it was really for the haldi shagun ... at this rate, the Arhi wedding will definitely happen, and equally definite, it will happen accidentally ... as have all the other shagun's and events in their life.
But I didn't like Arnav's attitude in the scene ... too stand-offish, and supercilious too ... tum door hi raho toh achha hai. And his dialogues were very brusquely delivered ... wonder where they cv's are leading with this. Because the Arhi interactions today showed far more softness and awareness on Khushi's side, but not much on Arnav's.
Garima is worried about how Payal will manage her saasu ma ... Nani overhears and reassures. Manorama has heart of gold? Really?
Khushi brings her Babuji ... liked the way all the Raizadas, including Mama Mami got to their feet. And this is the way arranged marriages are conducted - by families ... not like Shyam, who seems to have dropped fully grown from the sky with no living relatives at all to talk for him. Hated the double standards so evident here between Khushi and Payal - for Payal, the entire family came to ask for rishta, and yet Bua and Garima had doubts, and were worried for her happiness, whereas for Khushi, the first man off the street who was willing to marry her was good enough, evern though she was patently unhappy about it.
Another nice touch, Akash kneeling for Babuji's blessing. And then Babuji sees Anjali and seems to have a fit of sorts ... and Anjali starts crying again ... but of course!
So Shyam was stuck inside the Gupta house during the entire rishta scene ... good thing too, because from outside, he would definitely have tried to throw a spanner in the works. Which he will even now ... will that lead to his exposure? Have no doubt that the scene will play out very differently from the promo.
