9/9 - Epi 181 ... Shifting Equations, Burning Questions

Tuesday 9th September

Shatabdi's turn to win the pickle wars ... MIL and DIL are evenly matched ... this time Shatabdi was one step ahead.

Myrah with Dhruv, taking care of his medicine, his pillows, while Rohit starts to wonder more and more ... till the Maithili drama starts.

More adoption drama .. and the old Mohini is back! Nope, she doesn't want a naajaayaz bachha in the house ... take it away ... and so what if Samrat and Maithili go too? She doesn't care.
But actually she does.
Ananya did that scene well ... the hurt showing through despite the stone face.

Myrah gets angry, tries to persuade her ... much to Rohit's surprise ... Rohit tries to dissuade Myrah, with no success. Myrah is firmly involved and on Maithili's side.
Rudra says a few words, while his BD stands at attention ... Maithili begs and pleads, but to no avail. Finally Samrat takes a stand ... either they all three stay, or all three leave. Mohini is adamant, so they leave.

Myrah gets upset with Mohini all over again, Rohit tries to stop her, but she has her say ... Kaki, you have no heart. You're heartless.

I liked that Rohit is not clueless, and is waking up to the fact that Myrah has changed ... even more, he's asking questions. He asks Myrah, she prevaricates ... there's nothing wrong, everything is fine ... but this time she stops short of telling Rohit that she loves Rudra. She's involved with his family because the man ... because the man saved her life.
Yeah right ... Rohit is actually smarter than to fall for that.

Danveer, upset as heck with Mohini, tries desperately to trace Samrat ... and warns a visibly upset Mohini ... Samrat has left, one day Sumer will also walk out and leave you ... you'll be left all alone.
Mohini says she doesn't care.
Danveer wonders if she even has a heart.
That's the second time in the day that someone said that to Mohini. I think Mohini's reformation is round the corner ... the next loop to be closed.

So Rohit, not at all reassured, goes off to ask Rudra. Why has Myrah changed so much?
Rudra doesn't think she has changed at all ... she's always been like this, always poking her nose into other people's business, trying to help them ...

Rohit observes Rudra seems to know Myrah very well in 20 days ... he's spent 20 years with her.
Rudra says it sometimes needs 20 years to know a person, sometimes 20 days is enough.

Hmmm ...

Rohit asks straight out ... what is the relationship between her and you? Do you love her?
Rudra says if Myrah was his fiancee, he would be asking this question with his fists.
Rudra hasn't changed much. Still the rough and tough supremely possessive guy ... the suit is just a veneer, the sophistication is barely skin deep.

One big burning question I have ... has Rohit seen Paro's picture on the wall in Rudra's room, or has he not?!
I liked Rohit today ... in the company of stalwarts like Sanaya and Ashish, the actor is improving ... or maybe I'm just getting used to him! Liked the way he questioned first Myrah, then Rudra ... Myrah with heat, familiarity, as befitting their close relationship ... Rudra very coolly, calmly, politely.

Rudra goes out of the room, bumps into Myrah ... and chews a strip off her, the way he used to do with Paro after the hate marriage ... watch where you're walking, stay away from me, I don't want to get within touching distance of you!
Myrah, after her first instinctive apology, stops and stares ... what happened to him suddenly?!
Rudra is doing what he always does ... use anger as a shield to hide his emotions. Is he falling in love with Myrah? No, of course not. He loves Paro, he always will.
But then ... why ... what ... how ...?

Rohit overhears everything. I have a feeling he understands Rudra's anger for what it is.

Precap ... Myrah uses her money and clout for further good work ... the house is now fully Rudra's, so Samrat and Maithili can come back.

  1. So, Rohit has finally started asking questions. The CVs are finally doing justice to one character. It would have been pathetic if they had shown Rohit clueless till the last episode. Again, that is not new to Indian Cine and TV industry. But still, good job CVs.

Dia: I have the same question too. How come Rohit didn't notice Paro's portrait? I guess the show will end with Rohit himself uniting Myrah and Rudra. Atleast that is how I see it. Unless, the CVs have different plans.

Hmmm.... what else to say?? More adoption drama. Samrat grows a spine and leaves the house. Ananya was awesome today. It is truly a pain to watch such talent getting wasted. She is doing full justice to whatever has been offered to her. So, Rudra's extended family's woes are getting solved. Whatever happened to Sunehri!!!

Finally, it is going to be Rudra-Myrah-Rohit equation balancing after the adoption and Mohini's reformation dramas. I apologize for being too cynical. But I just don't get Myrah after one full month of watching her. I understand that she tries to help others, just like Paro. Practically speaking, I would call someone like her a busybody. Paro pried into others' issues too, but she had a subtle way of doing it. And that makes all the difference. Anyways, the shoot is going to wrap up tomorrow. And the main leads are busy with their dancing commitments. That just leaves the rest of the cast to finish their duties.

I must sound like an old tape recorder, but I am truly giving up on Indian TV shows after RR. The entire team just made a fool out of me. I happened to visit GH's twitter page. I need to kick myself for doing that. Ammaaaaa...... That man has an attitude. Like Dia said, if these people can't handle the public, why have an account in social media like facebook and twitter. Anyways, it is a matter of 8 more episodes and everything will be alright.

    1. madhu,
      i understand completely.but dont go away from dia's blog.be around.we can't miss a friend like u.

as for giving up on tv shows, its ur choice completely.GIVE UP ST'S SHOWS COMPLETELY.ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY.AVOID GH AND #suchislife mukta dhond also.

do try ye hai mohabbatein.its a feel-good show.just do a bit of research in IF/wiki abt story till now.or even dia can help u?u r a south indian, trust me,u'll enjoy the show,esp.ruhi-ishita scenes are a treat to watch.give it a try.i feel that, after watching JA and YHM,kekta has started to reform a little.

i know RR cvs just made a fool out of us.JUST WATCH THE OPENING CREDITS OF A SHOW CAREFULLY NEXT TIME U WATCH A SHOW.and if u see GH,MK/ST, #makearun.:-)

do reply to my post below when u find time.

    2. Hey Ratna,

Thanks for replying. Will try to watch YHM. Many people have been repeatedly saying nice things about that serial. That is surely not to be missed, I guess.

I tried to retain some positivity in the beginning. I lost it completely after the 'you are the humshakal of Paro' revelation to Myrah. Things are just not coherent to me after that. I understand that the CVs didn't have enough time to concentrate on everything. But they wasted precious time in the beginning, when we saw nothing but Rudra - Myrah face-off. Like you, I find it difficult to watch the old scenes of RR. Not for any emotional reasons, but just because I have lost respect for it. I will be ranting and raving like this for another 10 days. Then everything will be fine.

Thank you, once again for replying to my comment. And thanks Dia for letting me cry once again. :D :D

    3. I think the trick is not to get too involved in the shows or the characters, and watch the show knowing it will go down the tubes sooner or later. I quite enjoy YHM .. it's light and fun, all the characters are utilised properly, and the show doesn't revolve only around the leads, but their story is developed very well using all the side characters. And the little girl Ruhi is a doll ... she's very cute. She was a bit precocious at the start, but now she is very sweet and the Ishi-ma Ruhi bond as well as the Rmana-Ruhi bonding is shown very nicely.

There is a wicked lusting jijaji here too, as well as a clueless Di ... some things don't change!

RR ... I am watching only for Sanaya now ... I actually like Myrah, except for her inexplicable love for Rudra. Yesterday the way Rohit spoke to Rudra and Myrah, he came across as the better of the two men ... calm, composed and straight talking. I liked the way he gave Myrah the balm and left the room when Myrah said she had a headache ... a small touch, but it made go .. okay, this guy is sweet!
I'm still rooting for Myrah-Rohit, so I can't connect with the Myrah Rudra love story at all.

  2. dia,
it has been long since i posted here, right.as u know,i had recently joined IF,so was naturally amused reading posts in the forum, though i was regularly visiting R&R.

DIA,I THINK TODAY I'M GOING TO WRITE A LOT,I HOPE U[&OTHERS] WILL BE PATIENT ENOUGH TO READ ALL THIS.apologies in advance.[shwetha, where r u?]its just that i wont be here next week when RR ends.so i want to pen down my thoughts when i'm here.HOPE U ALL REPLY[and dia,a loong one too,ok!*wink*its just ur choti sister in me asking and waiting]

the RR i'm watching these days does not seem like RR anymore.
i feel so disconnected.its ok,i can sit and watch sanish as rudra-myrah AS LONG AS THEY DONT SHOW PARO.yes, that's the problem i face now.simply, that sight of painting of paro on rudra's room wall made me uncomfortable.y'day,i teared up seeing SBS photos of paro asking rudra to move on,i dunno how i'm going to watch that epi.[i dont think i will watch, its just that i cant.]and now,i realise, though i like ashish and his portrayal of rudra, for me,RR was all about paro and her story.[kudos to sanaya for her portrayal of paro, she deserves all those best actress awards for this character]

i dont feel that connection with myra.and as for the story,it is clearly copying KKHH and i dont expect anything better from these heartless cvs.seriously yaar,u have no idea how much i hate these insensitive arrogant idiots[sorry guys, cant control anger when it comes to RR cvs].i mean, just look at the atitude of ST,GH and mukta dhond!

i would really appreciate if anybody from IF would go and give a tight slap to these people and they're calling fans illogical?
where was the logic in the iron filings laddu track?and do they forget that they are writing indian soap and not a science project?

anyways, the show is ending.so why not give into the loyal fans demands' and end it on a happy note, when the larger part of the fanbase wants paro back,THEY ARE THINKING ABOUT LOGIC?

i think[as madhu said]ST and cvs are taking revenge on the fans."see,u didn't give us trps,we'll dish out whatever WE like and definitely not what u like,dekhna-hai-toh-dekho warna #suchislife".

arrogance at its best, hai na dia??

i really feel sorry for those poor people on myra=paro thread on IF and members like princesssunara, titlibaisa who had hope and faith and were very upset by last day's SBS and raghuvir shekawat's reply.the cvs will learn only when none of their future projects dont achieve online popularity and fan support nor trps, then to whom will they say dekhna-hai toh-dekho?

    CONTD IN NEXT POST.

  3. POST CONTD..

as for me,i will make sure i read the opening credits of any serial i'd watch in future to make sure these people are not involved.and will persuade friends to do so too.AND DEFINITELY NO ST SERIALS.even if he casts sarun/sanish,i had enough of him.

rewatching parud scenes makes me uncomfortable again.and so does flashbacks of parud in the show.dia, can u help me out with this?

[if anybody remember, the BG music when rudra unties the laal dhaga in the 20h june epi, just hear it.u will feel how much this cvs ruined our parud.]
    CVss,..grr..!

dia, just tell me how do u manage to make ur mind believe M=P?will ur rational mind believe that?its afterall,a doctor's mind, right?

i dunno abt awards, honestly.i wish sanish get all awards[ along with kaakisa and maithili].if not alll,at least sanz deserves the best actress award this year more than anyone else and sanish-best jodi.but heard, awards are all political play in IF.

and finally a request dia,DONT GO INACTIVE ON BLOG AFTER THE SHOW ENDS,PLS,BE HERE.re-open 'other shows we're watching' post.do discuss regularly YHM and other shows you watch.and sanz's next show,as usual.also are u planning to watch 'humsafar',gul's new venture on sony tv with harshad chopra and a new face[a prev.miss.shimla,i guess]?try ek hasina thi on SP.bhuvnesh-sanjeeda looks good plus the person who played maalik in MB id dr.dayal there,a strong character and a strong plot[hopefully.]

    WAITING FOR UR REPLY.
    with love,

    ratna.

NB:loyal viewers are upset with leap in RR.but what abt he actors who played their part?don't sanaya feel any connect to paro?she didn't seem upset in her latest IV that u posted.is it #suchislife[in the positive sense] for her too?[no offence, dia,i'm just curious]ashish does seem affected with the leap scenario.[latest:IF is down again]anyways.this would be the happy ending for me:

AND I HATE THE CVS A THOUSAND TIMES FOR KILLING PARO AND DESTROYING PARUD.[sorry for being emotional,i just googled imgs for rudra, paro and dhruv and saw some snaps that i avoided watching in those infamous epis leading to leap.]

    1. Ratna ... ok, a long-ish reply from me too :)))

RR ... I feel the same disconnect as you do ... and agree, they should just not show Paro at all, because if they show her, I CANNOT connect to Rudra at all ... the Rudra who promised Paro "Main Tu Hamesha" ... who said he would wait for her all his life ... who gave those long bhaashans at the start of RR 2.0 about only loving once, Paro being in his every breath blah blah ... if the cvs were going the Myrah Rudra way, why did they make him mouth all those heavy dialogues? Idiots!!!

And more importantly ... if he had to fall for Myrah, why did they make her such an airhead at the start? Why not make her a more serious, mature girl, maybe a professional girl here for some work, and someone with her own story, her own tragedy in life ... the same way Paro had her own tragedies in life and learned to smile despite them. Here, Myrah falling for Rudra makes no sense ... apart from rescuing her from the kidnapping, he's done nothing to make her love him. She loves Paro's Rudra ...she loves the idea of that deep love she sees in Rudra for Paro ... that love has made her realise what true love is all about ... but it would have made more sense to me if she realised her own love for Rohit, rather than for Rudra. And it would have kept Rudra as only Paro's ... and no one else's.

As for those idiots on twitter and FB and wherever ... these guys need a reality check of their own. Their major fan base for RR is the online fan base, and they are busy alienating those few fans with their idiotic tweets and comments. They really have huge egos ... they can't take any criticism at all ... and then they have the nerve to call fans illogical? After the poison laddoo drama, and the way Shantanu filtered into the BSD, which was never explained ... all those tracks were so logical, and the demand for Paro's return is illogical?

Sanaya was not happy with Myrah, it was quite obvious from her interviews at the time ... but she was also unhappy with the way Paro had been taken. By the end, Paro was reduced to serving Major Saab with tea, and nothing more.
I think she has given up on the show, and she is getting enough offers for new shows, so she is not too bothered ... plus they have had enough notice, she is good with the media, she will not allow any sadness to show for too long. I just hope she chooses her next show well, and goes for good channel, preferably SP ;) ... a good PH, and a good STORY ... and well developed female lead character.

Ashish is just too tired, I think, with juggling JDJ and RR ... he is reticent at the best of times, and I felt he was also not too happy with Rudra's character going back to square one. But he has also his own plans ... both of them will not be affected very much, their acting has been noticed ... the rest is Saurabh's loss, not theirs.

  4. HI guys, all i have to say is St and Company FAIL at developing good female characters, first Paro had no family no story of her own after her parents died what about her family?
and now same with Myrah, no background no backstory except a friend cum fiance
such blandness for such a talented skilled actor like SI!

Cheers, hoping Sanaya gets an awesome new project

    1. Kiran: I don't know about ST & Co.'s previous projects. So, cannot comment about his other female leads. Apparently GH has taken time to tweet about SI (That made me curious to visit his twitter page). That is so ironic because he and his group didn't do justice even to KKGSR. Her characterization was pathetic towards the end. I don't know about Gunjan. And I need not tell about Paro / Myrah.

All I can say is that they are a bunch of over-rated people. IF alone is a glaring example of how over-rated these people are. They just want the good things from fans, but get cold feet when the fans start asking them questions.

      Anyways... All is well people.

    2. Madhu ... totally agree with you ... these guys are a bunch of over-rated people, and egoistic with it. He's written the worst female leads on TV ... he writes Saathiya, for pete's sakes. I would rather Sanaya stayed away from him and ST in the future ... let her do a Rajshri, or Rajan Shahi or even an Ekta ... her shows get good TRPs and are decent for the first few months, before they satyanash. Or Gul Khan ... she seems to have learned her lesson with BS and KSG, and is now concentrating on making her FLs stronger than the men.

  5. Not watched the episode yet...will wait for the 530 repeat...WU seems ok...realize have lost the passion for RR sine Paro's death and the news about M=M was the last straw....oh well...

Please continue on ' other shows we watch'.....

Wanted to share something I saw yday on Laut Aao Trisha... ACP Kabir,( whose wife also got killed,) was told by his psychiatrist that he is falling in love ...and he retorts by holding a picture of his dead wife' I love my wife and true love happens only once' ....and it doesn't end there...he goes to sleep and his wife appears and tells him that love can happen twice!!---- guess the dialogue writer of the show...our very own RS.....was laughing so loud at that.... Dialogues are being recycled

  6. Hi everyone!

In this whole unhappy mess, I have only one question...and I hope someone can clarify , since I have been watching bits and pieces as usual.

So, Myrah knows she is in love with Rudr. She even broke off her engagement and the guy did not get the video msg. Now he is back, and she decides to go along with the wedding...because Rudr rejected her, might as well settle for the next best?

Is it too much to wonder why she does not walk out with what is left of her dignity and play goddess to everyone in Ranawat family from a hotel room or something?

And why is it that poor Rohit has to investigate and find out that Myrah has/ had been two timing him? If Myrah is the epitome of goodness, should she not sit down and confess to her un-reciprocated feelings for Rudr, than pretend to have a headache???

And why is it that RS and his team cannot convince the educated minds out there that it is OK to lead a guy on like this....even the odd educated ones that do not want Myrah to be Paro!

PS: That headache bit really irritated me! Had Myrah and Rohit been married for years, it would have been cute...when U don't have an answer, call in a headache! (Of course, in any other situation that does not involve infidelity) But this looked so rude and opportunistic.

Or maybe I missed the bit where Rohit has some serious medical condition that deters Myrah from divulging any heart breaking truths!!! So, as of now, she will marry Rohit for whatever and take the truth about her and Rudr to her grave. Transparency be damned!

Read about the other shows discussed here. YHM and JA are pretty good, but please steer clear of KKB. It is awful! MATH is looking very good with the leap...I think the show will pick up now.Jamai Raja- caught one scene where Roshni sits on the steps and cries- nice acting by Nia. Story so far sounds OK too, barring the mother's character- should be watchable for the next 3 or 4 months. Looking forward to the baby elephant story in Zee.

Udaan looked interesting too -though I wanted to give the retrogressive concept a miss- the little girl is very cute. And her character seems to not give a damn about anything happening around her...

Apart from YHM and EHT, cannot sustain interest in any SP show.

Humsafars: The guy seems liek a toned down version of ASR and the girl simply seems to be Kashaf Murtaza. (Would have loved to see Sanam Saeed playing this character too, since I liked Kashaf a li'l beter better than Zaroon- anyway, planning to give it a try.)

So glad to hear Sanaya will be back again soon....and considering there is not much to pick and choose from, I welcome even anything from ST. So long as he learns to stay within a reasonable budget and gives even something like MB...it will be another role to remember. And I hope somewhere along the line he learns to learn from his mistakes..and stops blaming Tom, Dick and Harry.

If U don't know how to make your failures your stepping stones, U will be making recipes for disasters all your life.

    1. Su, do not ask awkward questions, as logic has gone for a toss in the show.

The Myrah who was honest enough to break off her engagement to Rohit when she fell in love with Rudra, and thought he loved her too ... now decides that since Rudra doesn't love her, she might as well marry Rohit? And okay ... granted ... she thinks this was an infatuation ... from the speed at which she "fell in love" ... so marriage to Rohit will cure her of that ... but why then stay on in the haveli? Especially now that she has persuaded Dhruv that she will stay in touch with him even after marrying Rohit? Why does she need to stay on here? Why not look for another venue? Why give those dying duck looks to Rudra ... and he to her?

She should cut her losses and leave ... and since I'm not at all convinced by her feelings for Rudra, my preferred ending is that she marry Rohit. He seems to be a nice enough guy ... I thought ST would make him a typical villain ... but so far he's not ... then he deserves Myrah ... more than Rudra does ... that last flare up of Rudra at Myrah had me rolling my eyes ... this guy just never grows up!!!

Anyway ... we shall not discuss logic and story and all such things for RR ... it is for all intents and purposes over. The actors are basically just serving out their time.

I'm watching YHM fairly regularly ... JA not so much ... never connected with that show, although the acting is good. Have you tried Laut Aao Trisha on LifeOK?

I don't want to watch Udaan ... too regressive a concept, although the little kid is cute. Hate little kids being bullied and tortured.

Humsafars ... will give it a try ... it seems to be a cross between QH and ZGH, down to the truant father. Don't like the girl much ... Gul could have done better. But Surbhi was similar at the start of QH, and she's done well ... so let's see.

ST ... I hope Sanaya does not work with him again ... I haven't liked MB much, didn't watch DDEJ at all, and probably wouldn't have watched RR if it hadn't been for Sanaya. His approach is very BW of the 80's ... quite outdated. I'd prefer Sanaya in something more contemporary.

Let's see ... will keep this place updated with news once RR ends.

    2. Su: Don't know what's cooking in those educated minds. I, for sure, cannot decipher the workings of the CVs brains. The GH tweet really irritated me, because I feel it is more of a passive way to divert the fandom's anger from the CVs and the dialogue writer for their infamous replies in the social media. I don't claim to know his intention behind that tweet, but it is purely my POV about that guy. Had he done this on a special occasion or on any other day, I would have been ok with it. Cha.... What a bunch of unwiped bums!!!! And talking about Myrah's headache excuse, I think we should stop asking questions, logical or illogical. These people need the fan power for getting votes in dance competitions, reality shows, award functions. But they start barking when the fans start asking questions. I never made a habit of watching Television in my entire existence. But, I am surprising myself these days for being completely illogical about a disastrous TV show, that has been given up by the makers themselves. I apologize for the crude language, ladies. I guess most of this anger is directed towards myself than the makers. I would still have been ok with any ending for the show, but I wish those dumbos had kept their mouths shut. It's not like they have been writing Oscar stuff and the audience have been rejecting it.

May this be the first and last time I scold / criticize someone I don't know personally in a public forum. Very bad Madhu. :X :X Should never do it again.

    3. Thanx for the clarification, Dia...

Right now, I feel Rohit deserves better. The story has been handled so poorly that I can imagine Paro saying that Rudr and Myra deserve each other for being unfaithful to their partners. Reminded of Sharukh- Rani from Kabhi Alvida na kehna- didn't have an iota of sympathy for that couple...and wondered what was the msg being portrayed. I don't really mind watching a story on adultery, even though I don't enjoy it...like in 'stepmom', where the dad obviously cheated on his wife and found his true love...it is all about how U tell the story...

Laut Aao Trisha- I liked whatever I saw of it. This is the New Age in Indian Television. That and Amitabh's Yudh...I don't go for the remote if I catch either of them, though LAT is easier to follow.

Udaan: Hated the promo- looked like a rehashed version of BV...didn't catch any kid torture scenes...what I caught was the kid's obliviousness to her real plight- still so happy- go-lucky....if they stay at that, the story should be OK, I suppose. And already, the boy who must be the lead feels he should stay away if he wants to avoid trouble. Guess they should be going in for a leap in a month or two.

ST: Ha Ha. I should be the first one to order him to the gallows, considering I have criticised him from MB days. I read that San's next show could be with him...and I flipped... But then, I realised...whatever utter crap he may deliver, his heroines are noteworthy- after EK's and Gul's....I will remember Madhubala and Paro, no matter how better written they could have been...and both the characters have been noticed. So, if ST wants to do a mature love story now...god knows, he could have something different to offer. Gul and EK seem to have their hands full...I can't think of any other PH that writes interesting stories.Sunshine could also come up with something nice- don't know if they have any show running currently.Paakhi was another interesting character...any of these makers could come up with some variety...and if ST could be following some Gujarati novel...at least he has a sense of direction there!

Humsfars: No one liked the girl much...SJ was exactly like that for me. But SJ is a sweetheart in real life too...has good chemistry with all her co-stars and Gul calls her 'princess'. And this girl was cheeky enough to come out and tell that she feels jealous about Gul's new heroine. Claims she is possessive.Lol.

Mixed feelings about the show as such- excited and apprehensive.

There was a rumour about SP doing a take on 'Friends' - was supposed to be with Gul, I think...if so, San would be beautiful there...she enjoys comedy too...

      Madhu,

Can very well understand how cheated U must be feeling...unfortunately, our educated minds need some form of entertainment other than the regular rape stories, boring political analysis that gets nowhere etc...I know why I watch soaps...and if these not- so- colourful personalities are smart, one day they will realise the power of the remote that they themselves educate us on. * hugs* Loved your rant...
