Love - Myrah's love for Dhruv and Koel, Myrah's love for Maithili Jeeja .. sorry, I still can't wrap my head around Myrah's love for Rudra ... she doesn't know Rudra, she fell in love overnight, and now she thinks she has discovered the 'meaning of true love' ... yes, Rudra's love for Paro ... but hers for Rudra? I still can't buy that. So Myrah gazing at Rudra was not very touching. I prefer firebrand Myrah!
Maithili and Samrat's love for each other ... beautiful ... Maithili has buried her pain for the sake of her husband and his mother all these years ... thank god finally Samrat took a stand and signed those papers.
Dhruv and Loel's love for Myrah is sweet ... the kids get along well with her, she speaks to them at their level, yet respects them as individuals ... all kids respond to that. No wonder Dhruv and Koel don't want her to leave.
Confusion ... what does Myrah feel for Rudra? Okay, scratch that, she thinks she loves him ... but she knows he doesn't love her, she first decided to break off with Rohit, then she decided to marry Rohit ... yet she keeps gazing longingly at Rudra ... as though waiting for him to change his mind Where did the fiery Myrah go, the one who knew her mind and was incurably honest and truthful? And if Rudra changes his mind at the last minute, and decides he wants to marry Myrah after all, she will just give in tamely? Without wondering if he loves her or Paro's reflection? Wait, I forgot, Rudra told her six reasons she was Myrah ... he didn't tell her that they were the same things he found in Paro ...
More confusion ... What does Rudra feel for Myrah? Again I'm lost ... the Rudra who gave Myrah long lectures on 'true love', on being able to love only once ... on not being able to breathe without Paro ... now shows a distinctly dog in the manger attitude when faced with the probability of losing Myrah?
I always said Rudra got Paro too easily ... he needs to to the chasing for once. Now I see he's pretty bad at it ... all he can do is glower and fume and try to dictate terms to Myrah the way he did to Paro ... but this time he comes up against some opposition - Rohit.
Rudra -Rohit face off - the first time in a TV show I was rooting for the other guy. Rudra crossed a few lines there ... did he forget he is the employee and not the employer?
Dhokha ... first Rudra and Maithili kept Myrah in the dark ... now Myrah is keeping Rohit in the dark. Pity ... despite the guy being the original Mr Stone Face, he's not a bad chap ... I quite like him. He was perfectly justified in getting angry with Rudra ... and he was good-natured enough to listen to Myrah, and make up with Rudra ... though Rudra did take the first step.
The last scene was cute ... Dhruv was miniature Rudra ... wanting his own way ... demanding his own way ... Rohit was quite sweet with him.
The blue saree Myrah chose was very similar to Rudra's blue kurta Paro wore when she got rid of her first wedding dress.
Precap -- am waiting for these scenes next week ... Maithili finally gets a baby
So Rudra's is confused he certainly does not like Rohit showing his attention/affection on on Myra and definitely does not appear keen on their impending wedding either!!
ReplyDeleteHe has already preached about falling in love and marrying your love happens once in life, and so he is finding it difficult to swallow his own pill, since he is developing feelings for Myra and is not ready to acknowledge it or hasn't realized it yet.
I find it little bit creepy because he is falling in love with Paro's look alike while he is still in love with his late wife, then I realize that if they probably showed more meaningful interaction between Rudra and Myra and showing him fall for her as she is it would be more digestible, RR2 is now like any other serial out there,- keep your brains aside and watch it!
And looks like even Rohit is loosing his temper slowly, it was interesting to see Rudra-Rohit headbutting today,( Rudra was out of line to a certain extent I felt) how will Rohit react if he gets to know all that has been going on before his arrival.
And when did Myra become so demure? :-/
Liked the last part of the serial today, Dhruv-Koel brighten up the scene. They were both 'Aww'-worthy ;-))
Rudra is confused all right ... he has shot himself in the foot with all his grand proclamations about only loving once ... The makers are stupid, if they knew they were going this way, why did they make him mouth all those dialogues? He looks so ridiculous now.
DeleteI still can't accept him falling in love with Paro's lookalike and NOT looking for Paro in her every time ... it's not possible ... especially since he was supposedly so much in love with Paro. And by those repeated flashbacks and keeping her alive for the viewers as well, they have prevented audience sympathy for Rudra to move on. All the times he interacted with Myrah more meaningfully, like the time he recounted her good qualities ... each of those qualities could be used for Paro as well ... so what exactly are the makers getting at here?
I did not blame Rohit for losing his temper ... if the guy was a better actor, I would be rooting for him and Myrah. For me, that still makes a better ending than Myrah Rudra. Rudra was definitely out of line ... he seems to have forgotten he is the employee, not the employer. Myrah should have fired him ... guess she is too lost in love ... which is another thing I can't quite swallow.
When you're not rooting for the two principal characters in a love story to even get together, you know the story has gone very wrong.
Oh well ... just waiting for this to wrap up now ... Sanaya is already looking at her next show. I do hope she takes a good six month break this time, and chooses her next project carefully, that's all ... preferably not with ST ... and definitely not with Mohit ... that guy is nowhere near her calibre, plus watching a real life jodi on screen is no fun.
As bad as Rohit the actor is, I still found myself preferring a Myra Rohit ending. The gooey eyes that Rudra and Myra were making for each other was nothing short of pathetic, story wise.
DeleteNow watching it for the kids and looking forward to Maithili's adoption.
You said, it, Aki ... at this stage I actually prefer a Myrah Rohit ending. He is a nice guy, despite the actor being so bad ... and Rudra crossed quite a few lines today. The cvs are trying to recreate all the PaRud moments ... I think they've given up on the show completely. They might as well just get Rudra to clear his mind and end the confusion, propose to Myrah ... do a remarriage of Myrah Rudra and give us a week of celebrations ... end the show on a high.
DeleteOr if they really want to be radical ... end it with a Myrah Rohit wedding ... and Rudra is joined in the last scene by Paro's ghost, smiling and holding his hand, telling him she will be there with him always ... I will be even happier.
Oh Dia - if only the CVs would hear out your "radical" closing and show us that, I will be at peace. Anything else and it will leave a proverbial 'bad taste in the mouth'.
DeleteAs they are getting ready to close shop, I doubt if we will get to see any week long celebrations - the channel would most likely spend its money elsewhere. So, will we get a supersonic wedding in last episode where they hastily try and wrap up some of the loose ends? Very likely...... :-(((((
My only reaction after Friday's episode: #SuchIsLife# #Dekhna hai toh Dekh#
ReplyDeletePower cut in my area for almost a day. So, a little late in watching the episode. Looks like I have not missed much.
Paro became a God-like person in the viewers' hearts because of her untimely death. Bechara Rudra is being massacred by the CVs. I really feel bad for the actors. Such awesome talent wasted. The kids talk a lot. Way too much for me to handle. I guess it is funny and amusing to see them talking like this. Not always. Atleast for me. May be that's only me feeling like this. The CVs just want to re-create some old events. I guess the Friday episode had one Rudra Paro moment, the choodileela one. That was one hell of a sequence. How do I substitute the choodileela with the Friday's comedy?
Dia & Aki: I so want the 'radical' ending to the show. But I am not expecting anything from the CVs.
I don't really care about why Myrah loves Rudra or loves the idea of being in love. I just can't stand Rudra thinking about another woman after what he has been through with Paro. How can he even look at his wife's painting or photo if he accepts Myrah as his wife? Oh well... Why am I even talking sense? I was supposed to keep logic and thinking aside before watching RR. Now emotions have joined the list. The channel is hell-bent on shutting the show. So, why are the CVs and the PH not taking the logical route? I doubt if there will be a decision change, in the event of RR's TRPs sky-rocketing to match Diya aur Baati hum's TRP. So, why the love triangle sequence?
I read a joke that the voters are always the jokers in an election. We have a similar situation here. We, the viewers are the ultimate jokers. The actors are going to get on with their lives. Looks like SI already has something on her plate. AS too will have something very soon. Perhaps after JDJ. So, will the others members of the cast. It is not like I will be stuck at the same spot. But like one of the ladies mentioned before, I feel cheated. Sigh.... An honest fact is that the viewers make these actors and CVs such huge stars that they have the nerve to tweet '#SuchIsLife' kind of nonsense back to the fans.
Next time I am tempted to watch a serial, I will tell myself, 'GO GET A LIFE'.
Hope I listen to myself. If not, I guess #SuchIsLife. :( :(

Sorry ladies, posted same comment twice. Don't know how to delete the first. :(
DeleteHey Madhu! Interesting take and I didn't mind reading it twice...
ReplyDeleteI must agree that I kinda feel cheated as a viewer too. It started really promising but the end is looking haphazard.
I hope they surprise us with the so called 'kamaal ka twist' if that is even still on the agenda.
Hey Sheela,
DeleteThanks for the kind words. I just hate to be negative about a fiction work. That's the reason I visit Dia's blog and I also read selected posts in IF that are meant to make us laugh. Sometimes I feel that my reactions are exaggerated. But no. In the last one year, I have watched only two soaps. IPKKND and now RR. The last time I remember following a TV show was in 2002. The show's name is Dishayen. Though IPK had a hurried ending, I liked the FL's performance and that's the reason why I started watching RR. Now, I do feel cheated and the guess what? The (in)famous personalities who tweeted those mind-blowing statements have disappeared from twitter. Ladies, I apologize if I am over-reacting. But that was such a rude response, considering the fact that the show was already not doing well. I didn't take it personally at that time, because the show was not ending and the stuff we saw were way too better compared to the crap we get to see now.
I am just watching the show to close the loop. To give a proper closure. Unlike the CVs. And somewhere in the corner of my heart, there is still some hope left for that 'kamaal ka twist'. That twist better be worth the wait.
Agree with all of you....just watching now out of habit...Don't even mind now that the show is wrapping up....it's finished the day Paro died and slowly the Rudra we knew is gone too.... I don't understand what the CVs are trying to prove? Why don't they give the fans what we want and end on a high..... They couldn't capture the Trps and now don't even care about us loyal fans.....
ReplyDeleteAs someone said earlier, if the majority is not even rooting for the love story, something is very wrong.... Am also feeling very cheated...Would also prefer a Rohit- Myrah ending...What have the CVs done to Rudra?
Anyone watched the sbb segment?
ReplyDelete- Madhumitha
Too afraid to watch but just read summary on IF. KKHH hangover? Kahan se? Kidhar se? I think 2 different people (1 of whom does not know hindi and was kind of lost due to lack of subtitles) on the CV team shared the task of watching KKHH and then came up with THIS!
DeleteOMG, it is too painful!!
yes madhu,i read abt the sbs segment[couldn't watch it though, but entire IF is in tears after the seg],clearly telling myrah is not paro.but was there an sbb segment??
ReplyDeletebakwas! i am not watching this show anymore, kudos to cvs for making one of the best stories in to one of the worst, (sarcastic hands clapping)
ReplyDeletesaving grace is the talented cast who deserve better than the trash they are writing up, it's like everyone gave up on the show long ago :( boooooo!!!!
Kiran
Someone please enlighten me - which part of this story is considered "Kamal ka twist"?
ReplyDeleteLike i said before, the kamaal ka twist is sanaya as Myra, a lookalike of Paro, i feel the maker's thought that since they still have Sanaya on the show they can retain few viewer's through her star power, and they did too to certain extent.
DeleteSo they are going KKHH way huh? A few days ago when i watching few of the episodes they reminded me of the same movie, so a good serial which had managed to say such a good and unique story is now gonna end with such a lame, copied ending? Shameful.
Instead they could have ended the show after they killled Paro, and showed us that, Rudra is a better person now due to Paro and living his life peacefully with son and extended family and with Paro's memories, sigh, no use of it anymore, its like the saying - its no use crying over spilt milk !! :-(
Thanks MB - I was expecting a twist in the story line; did not expect it to be in the use of their cast members!!
DeleteOh well, all of this will end soon. Hopefully we will all meet again with a bright and eager smile to watch SI's brand new show soon enough.
