So converting the house to Rudra's name alone, was a plan between Myrah and Rudra ... and he didn't take money from her ... conveniently skating over how he managed the money overnight.
Rudra gives half the ownership to Samrat ... no one can throw Samrat out now ... nor Maithili or their baby. End of Mohini's threats.
Mohini is hopping mad ... she doesn't want that baby in the house, She is Queen Bee, and no Myrah is going to change that.
Rudra and Myrah tell Rohit about how and when they planned ... and then get into an argument about how dominating, how much a control freak Rudra is ... That he is. Agree with Myrah on that.
But Myrah is definitely the pushy one ... Rudra is ready to sit back and let things take their own time to cool down. No wonder he hasn't done anything for Samrat Maithili till now ... because Mohini never cools down enough!
Will be an interesting combination ... actually, it would be a disastrous one ... two very strong-minded people ... good thing the show is ending before we see much more.
Rohit wants to know what, when, how, why the plan happened and why he wasn't a part of it. And Rohit discovers he loves Myrah ... much to Myrah's dismay ... this is going to be tougher than she thought.
Myrah's lecture to Mohini ... completely out of place, didn't understand the reason for Myrah to take off on Mohini so abruptly. Shatabdi's lecture was in place ... Myrah's was not.
If this had been Paro, I would have understood. Paro had the spine to stand up to Mohini for her beloved Jija ... and being Rudra's wife, she had the right to do so.
Oh well, the show is ending, and Mohini has to be redeemed. Apparently one lecture from Myrah does the job.
Cute scene of the kids stealing in to see the baby, and Myrah picking up the baby carefully for the first time ... I thought there would be a mention of Paro somewhere ... disappointed the CVs have decided to pretend she never existed. And Myrah had picked up the baby earlier from the social worker to put her in Maithili's lap ... she held her perfectly easily at that time. Cvs are not even trying to remember what they wrote the previous week, forget about two months ago.
Myrah decides to stay away from Rudra ... again.
Agree with Sanaya what she said on SBS today ... that's what I've been saying all along ... Myrah Rudra doesn't make sense. Myrah may be in love with Rudra ... but she has her self-respect ... and more than that, sheer common sense ... she won't marry a guy when she resembles his first wife, and the guy is so deeply in love with that first wife. Recipe for lifelong unhappiness.
Oh well ... the show is ending. Start the countdown for Sanaya's next show.

Was is it just me or was today's episode utterly boring??!!!
ReplyDeleteRohit is such a nice guy, caring, understanding, he is doting on Myra, helps in the KITCHEN!!!, and Myra is still in love with Rudra, who screams at everything, is highly irritable at ll times, is a terrible cook, chauvinistic behavior and she still wants him!! 'Love is Blind' alright!
MB ... you bet ... why does Myrah even love Rudra? He's dominating, controlling, irrational, egoistic ... he thinks he knows everything, but actually he does nothing ... he thinks he fixed Samrat's accommodation so that solved the problem ... doesn't he know Mohini enough to understand that her ego is as big as his ... she will never bend to let Samrat back into the house.
DeleteRohit is much nicer ... he even understands when Myrah wants to be left alone ... he helps in the KITCHEN ... ditto you on that one!!! He was her best friend, he is genuinely trying to help, even though he doesn't understand why Myrah is so involved ...
When Rudra controlled Paro so completely, it was understandable ... Paro was delicate, fragile, anpadh, had no idea of the world ... when he tries to control Myrah, it's laughable. And even more laughable that she takes it ... thank god she fought back today!
I know Dia!, when he tries to impose his 'rules' on Myra he does appear like a 'control freak' to me.
DeleteYou said it right, Paro needed assistance in lot of matters, and I feel its mostly because she was uneducated and hence was not wise in all worldly matters, but Myra? This shows that Rudra was not behaving in this particular manner with Paro only that's his nature, and gosh in real life its stifling to live your entire life with such people, should work only in telly land, actually this used to also apply to ASR from the previous discussed show.
The cynic in me says that Myra is in love with the idea of an "all-encompassing love" that PaRud shared - she wants to be a part of it, or at least have a taste of it. Rudra is into his next 7 or 8 year itch (whichever) and this is the best of the lot - hey, she's educated, moneyed, well-connected, takes care of all household matters including his kid - with so many advantages of having Myra, his memory bank is probably busy deleting all those deeply embedded images of Paro (maybe Laila too, if she hasn't been over-ridden yet).
DeletePoor Rohit - he's been jilted at the altar - kinda like us ;-). By the way, what happened to Myra's past story? What happened to her "I will not cry" proclamations, her retort to Rudra that he does not know what she has been through in life and the need to record every waking moment?
I have written my own ending to RR2.0, and in that one Myra walks into the sunset with Rohit with the Ranawat family bidding them a fond adieu. Her role was to give Rudra closure and the ability to move on in life and fulfill his promise to Paro, just as Paro's role was to get him over his Mother's sudden departure from his life. Very much in line with what Sanaya herself said today - God Bless Her! Can't wait for her next show to air soon enough!!!
I guess it is Rohit's turn to crib about beautiful women. He doesn't seem the type though. Like i said before, the CVs did a far better job on Paro when compared to what they are doing for Myrah. Talking about 80's Bollywood heroines, her entry was similar to the 80's movies. Nri ladki with lots of money entering the Hero's life in an overconfident manner and ending up as an ideal hypothetical bharathiya nari.
DeleteDidn't watch the episode yet. Will comment in detail as soon as I watch it. Who knows?? This might just be the last Indian TV show I watch. Will go join a university to get my Ph.D, gather some knowledge and then watch such nonlinear shows. Ekta's serials look more logical to me these days after watching RR 2.0.

Well said Aki! You are right, Myra used to have this mesmerized look in her eyes whenever Rudra used to talk about love, marriage, loving his wife Paro with all his heart, and like she said she never felt this kind of love for anybody, so probably she wants to be a part to Rudra's life to get a feel of the same, because I don't see anything else as a reason for her loving Rudra, even their interaction so far has been only a shouting match and clash of opinions and that too most of the times only from Rudra's side!!
DeleteSometimes I wonder why we are even discussing these characters. The makers themselves don't understand their creations. They forget the key aspects of the characters. Like Paro doesn't like milk, but they made her drink it after the acid attack. Dia was saying about Myrah's awkwardness in handling babies. This is again one of those countless bloopers.
DeleteFor a change, let me try to type some sensible questions, facts, possibilities, etc. I wonder if the channel made its decision only in the last week of August or if the decision had been made much earlier. In either case, the PH would have been prepared for the worst. It's money (and also name) at the end of the day and even if the show was shutting down, the PH would want to give its best. Because nothing explains the haphazard writing. There were too many hints about Myrah being Paro. To name a few.... Rukmani, Major Saab, the tip-toe kiss. Ok, atleast the kiss could have been genuinely Myrah's own making. May be it just happened to be a coincidence that Paro kissed Rudra like that too. If Rudra and Myrah were destined to be together, they could have atleast given an indication to Rudra through Rukmani. He knows that Paro was crazy about that blue butterfly. I know my logic sounds like a romantic fantasy, but if the butterfly could establish a connection between Rudra and Myrah, why not use it for making Rudra realize the connection? I hope there is some explanation for the Major Saab. Like Aki said, what happened to Myrah's past? She did tell Rudra that he doesn't know anything about her. And nothing much was explained about her mysterious statement.
Going by the SBS/SBB segments and the spoilers, I am listing down the forthcoming scenes.
1). Mohini reformation
2). Mythili acts as Cupid (?)
3). Mohini's advice to Myrah about her marriage with Rohit
4). Rudra's dream of a happy family
5). Rudra - Paro interaction (Not sure if she is a ghost or just Rudra's dream). I guess this would be the 'Kamaal ka twist'.
6). Myrah tells Rohit that she cannot marry him
7). Marriage preparations (Are the families attending? Or is it going to be a Ranawat family only affair?)
8). Happy ending
Considering the speed of RR, all the above items would not take more than 3 days. So, what exactly are they going to show for the other 3 days? The Mohini-Shathabdhi pickle showdown will come to an end as soon as Mohini reforms. We will not get to watch the off-screen segments anymore, so no way of knowing anything about the forthcoming episodes. #Confused#. :S :S
Madhu, the show was put under the scanner by the Channel for a good two months before they took the decision to axe it. It's when the show was put under the scanner that the PH decided to lighten the show's mood and did away with Paro and created Myra in her place. Ashish's comment of "Kamaal ka twist" was nothing more than a googly thrown at us, unless RS has decided to be economical with the truth at this stage. As far as the PH looking to give its best parting shot is concerned - does not look like an attitude that is shared by the PH. So, as we all look to move on from the fiasco that was RR2.0, here's wishing a set of specially good writers for Sanaya's next show who do HER justice rather than reducing her role to a mere adornment or fixer-upper for the ML's woes. That, along with a strong story and set of co-actors, a PH which has the guts to tell its story as per its vision already scripted and bound plus a supportive channel.
DeleteAki, agree with you, that is my own impression for Myrah's "falling in love" ... she fell in love with the idea of love, the ideal she saw in Rudra's eyes for Paro, his long speeches on how much he loved Paro, how he felt incomplete without her, how he would love her till his last breath etc etc ... she did know that he was talking about his wife, Paro, at that time, not about her ... and that Paro died in his arms ... he had told her all that.
DeleteSo far so good ... I can understand that a flighty Myrah, who has never really believed in love till now, who thought that friendship and understanding and getting along well with each other, was a good enough basis for marriage ... suddenly discovers that LOVE is no longer a concept she finds alien and unreal ... but it can be true, it can be beautiful, it can be real ... and it can be worth waiting for. She sees that love in Rudra's eyes ... love for Paro ... and decides she wants that sort of love for herself. So far so good.
After that, the writing all went totally haywire . She thought Rudra DID feel that sort of love for her? I thought it was pretty clear that it was for Paro.
Okay, Rudra kissed her ... or rather, he stood dumb when she kissed him ... and then he kissed her back ... and SHE was intoxicated by the medicine, he was NOT ... since she did not know about the resemblance to Paro, she could be forgiven for thinking that he was starting to feel that wonderful emotion for her ... and she already was half in love with the man, because of that passionate side she had seen ... this seemed to cement it ... he loves her too ... how wonderful to have that kind of love in one's life ...
But then she discovers the truth ... to her horror ... he only looked at her that way because she looks like Paro. All the love, all those kisses were for Paro, not for her ... so she leaves.
Till then I understood Myrah, could even appreciate her for developing those feelings ... somewhat!!! And definitely appreciated her for leaving. And I would have completely understood if she swore she would never come near Rudra again ... her love was a mirage and she understood that.
After that, the whole story went haywire ... is this the point at which the CVs knew the show was going to be pulled off air? Because I did not understand Myrah continuing to be in love with Rudra, and if she did, I did not understand why she would hang around at all ... because her face is not going to change, and so neither is the way Rudra looks at her ... and there was no other compulsion for her to stay ... I think there was some compulsion in PKDH, they did have a story for that.
And Rudra falling for Myrah ... he is falling for all the qualities of Paro that are there in Myrah ... he very conveniently listed them for us too. So as viewers, how can we believe that Rudra loves Myrah without seeing a reflection of Paro in her?
I agree with Madhu ... we're beating our heads over characters, when even the writers haven't given them any thought. Better to cut our losses with this show ... since the makers seem to have done the same ... watch RR as RR only until the birth of Dhruv ... think of these are just filler episodes till the end ...
And wait for Sanaya's next! :)))
Another example of the shoddy planning by the CVs ... Myrah is not an orphan, she is rich and well-connected ... so how come shaadi preparations (from the offscreen video of haldi) with no member of her own family present? Is she planning to marry Rohit with just the Ranawats in attendance? That doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever!!!!
Delete:D :D :D. They are setting the stage for RR3.0 Dia! You know when Myra becomes disillusioned with love, Rudra comes out of his delusion that Myra IS Paro - Rohit will then re-enter to claim his love. At this stage they might decide to weave in the long forgotten stories of Tejawat-Mala-Dilsher......ok, I had better stop here before I become delusional!
DeleteDia et al,
ReplyDeleteDon't have anything positive to say. My rantings make me feel like an old woman.
@Quote: I thought there would be a mention of Paro somewhere ... disappointed the CVs have decided to pretend she never existed.....
I hope this VM could remedy some of your frustrations. http://vimeo.com/105347321
I was not a VM fan. But I am becoming one slowly. This one is so beautiful, that it brought a lump to my throat. Oh... Why did Paro have to die? :( :(
Uff, what a beautiful VM!!! I feel like going back and watching the entire show again!!! Fortunately I have all the episodes downloaded ;) I will probably do exactly that once the show ends! :)))
DeleteThank you Dia for your updates and for this haven for mature discussion of the show (without teenage drama from IF :) ) i will eagerly await Sanaya's next show and also will be waiting for your refereshing updates as well!
