The difference between Laila and Paro ... one wants to hold, the other wants to heal.
Laila spelled out today why she is all wrong for Rudra, and Paro is the right one for him. She wants to hold Rudra, Paro wants to heal him. Laila doesn't mind if Rudra stays in the grip of his demons all his life long, unhappy, bitter, angry, miserable ... as long as he is hers in that state.
Loved the PaRud bed scene.
*edit*
Did not like the way Paro stopped Rudra from throwing out Laila ... but since his sleeping dimaag has awakened, as have his feelings for Paro, there was no way he would want Laila to stay. But Paro, soft-hearted as usual, falls for Laila's story. Thankfully Rudra retains the use of his dimaag, and keeps the investigation on ... or rather, tells Aman to do so.
The Paro Laila scene was sweet, despite knowing Laila is playacting ... she is better as positive than negative character ... it would be good if she changes over and becomes positive like Lavanya ...
Cute touches in the scene as Paro takes out clothes for Rudra ... so wifely! and Rudra asks her irritably ... where were you? in a completely husbandly tone.
Thank god they remembered that physiotherapy is required.
Paro repeats her nursery rhyme ... and Rudra has to smile ... almost. All this of course after he grumps about no need to deal with his pain, and she ignores him ... Paro has learned how to deal with Rudra and his ever-present sulks. Methinks he enjoys the mothering care she gives him.
Next problem ... where should he change? Again he asks Paro ... again SUCH a husbandly thing to do ... wife is in charge in the house for the smallest things!
Paro takes the opportunity to ask him ... why did you say I'm different, I had to stay here?
Because she stumbles and falls all the time, he needs to take care of her.
Paro's smile was an unspoken "Yeah right!'
Every woman loves being told by her man that he will take care of her ... so does Paro.
Another vachan broken as they reach the door of their room ... Rudra still irritable ... Laila has to go tomorrow morning ... I don't want her to stay ...
Because she loves you ... Paro is calm, unmoved.
Rudra aghast ... she told you?!
Paro ... nope ... it was obvious.
Rudra even more upset ... you're my wife! How can you let her stay when you know she loves me? What are you made of?!
Paro even more relaxed ... well, that made you agree I'm your wife ... we both know it ... so what can she do?
Rudra starts to make the bed on the floor ... Paro wonders where she will sleep ... his turn to be calm, matter-of-fact, as though he never had to think about it ... that woman is on the bed , we have to sleep here.
We ... not you, not me. We.
And so they sleep ... Paro turns to look at him, and goes to sleep with a contented smile ... Rudra looks at her back, and ... sleeps. As though this is the most natural and comfortable thing in the world. And in sleep, his hand goes out to protect paro's head from falling off the pillow ... caring even in sleep.
And he slept well too ... because he never stirred when Laila got up and went out for her midnight meeting with ... who else but Kakisa.
So this was all Kakisa's plan ... but she might have bitten off more than she could chew ... because Laila isn't planning to leave the haveli ... or Rudra ... in a hurry.
Ankita is a bad actress as vamp ... she makes too many faces and jerks her head around too much. Far too affected mannerisms for a nachnewali.
Laila wants the jaanwar Rudra back ... no matter if he remains angry, upset bitter ...
In the room, Paro worries ... Rudra wanted to unburden himself, she won't force him ...but she hopes he will do so before she leaves ... he needs to get rid of the burden on his heart and mind. She wants him to heal.
Rudra wants to do just that ... he wants to unburden himself to Paro ... for the first time he has found someone to whom he can lay bare his sorrows, his anger, his hurt, his bitterness ... and know she will be with him always. Why does his past always catch up with him again and again?
Rest of the episode was Mohini Laila plotting ... Mohini gives her clothes ... won't anyone in the family wonder where she got them? And tells her to behave like a good girl, part of the family ...
Does Mohini really think Laila can endear herself to the rest of the family and win Paro's place?
Mohini hiding behind the temple, and Laila blows the conch. The battle is on ... between good and evil.
Paro wants him to let go of his demons, and find happiness. Whether she is there or not, it doesn't matter. As long as he is happy and free.
Loved the PaRud bed scene.

dia,
ReplyDeletebefore i go into the epi,my problem has arised again.i had posted 2 comments in y'days post and they are missing[and obviously no replies to them either].pls do fix it.it has been a day since they have went missing and do reply to them.DONT KNOW IF THIS COMMENT WILL GO MISSING TOO.
i'm seriously losing my patience with the show.seriously, why they have to go the kekta way and laila and kaakisa together[now what negativity is left to show in rr].it brings such an unpleasant feeling.the parud scenes are the only show-savers.is laila going to stay on and on?then, trps and viewership will go down and down.the show is nearing its 100th episode, pls cvs SHOW SOMETHING NICE AND REMOVE LAILA FROM THE KAHAANI,TEMPORARILY HI SAHI.
one more point, cvs if u are listening,WHY DOES PARO WAKE UP SO LATE?i know,in real life, many of us are late-risers.but in tvduniya,i have never seen a bahu[heroine]waking up late, even late than rudra, maithili and kaakisa!!and look what it led to in today's epi.[HEY,DO I SOUND LIKE BHABHO/DAADISA?:-)))]it'd be better to change that keeping in mind paro's characterisation and pls don't make her too naive like gopi bahu.
i really hope they make laila go out really soon and then show the story.kaakisa is more than enough for a villain,we don't need two.and i hope we all can start discussing the new promo in this post.i've already posted a small bit in y'days post.well, after today's epi,i'm switching back to written updts again.will watch if there is some good parud scene.waiting for ur reply dia and by the way, wonderful take on y'days epi.it was really worth the wait.
ratna.
ps.apologies everyone.i know dia, shwetha and all will be tired reading and tolerating my not-so-cheerful bakbak and venting.really sorry but can't help one when i see such epis.i really do love good epis but looks like the cvs are hell bent on giving such epis with unpleasant feeling.pls do help me if somebody have some optimism about the future track.ur replies have always been helpful.apologies again everybody
Hey Ratna ... Paro didn't wake up late ... Mohini woke up Laila early. But I did not like Paro forcing Rudra to let Laila stay ... when she knows that Rudra didn't want Laila to stay, when she knows that Laila was in love with Rudra to the extent of wanting to kill her ... then this is foolishness. Taking care of her injuries temporarily was okay, even letting her stay till the morning is acceptable ... just about ... but more than that, Paro is being dumb ... and Paro is NOT DUMB! They have kept her smart till now, don't want them to change it. This was too much like Khushi, when Khushi's character had been destroyed. Really don't want them to go that way here.
DeleteI totally agree with you ... today was all Laila, Laila, Laila ... and it was irritating. The only saving grace were the two PaRud scenes. They need to show some positivity for some time ... barely has one evil track finished, and the next one has started.
Ratna: Plz bak bak daily yaar. I keep wondering why you tapkofy weekly once or twice only. The more you bak bak, the more fun it will be.
DeleteSee, this track is going to last exactly 2 weeks.
The first week Laila has been introduced. So by next wednesday (If you go by the promo date - the dance is happening on 12th), Atleast Rudra will figure out, Laila's true intentions.
Paro hopefully will to,but atleast she will start having doubts.
The next week will be how Laia's truth comes out.
This is what they have planned unless TRPs and actors availability dictate otherwise. I don't just mean Ashish here, For the next track they either need Mala or Tejavat.
By that time I am pretty sure Rudra's hand will be okay and I am leaving you track will be played out.
After that if they are not able to get Thakur, they can always show Rudra leaving for Jaipur with Aman trying to track him down and the focus shifts back to Haveli drama and Parud scenes can be done via phone calls.
You know What I even have a promo ready for the whole I am leaving you track.
Family watching.
Paro to Rudra - Main aapko chod kar jaa rahin ho Major Saab, Mainay mannat maangi...
Rudra - Stunned and then furiously walks up to her and breaks that dhaaga around her neck and tells her, Jaana chahti hai na jaa.
Everyone stunned and Paro reluctantly walks away in tears, turning one last time to look at him.
Rudra is watching her and then a sly smile on his face.
Voiceover - Kya Rudra jaanay dega, apni paaro ko?
Funda - Paro promised Bholenaath, she would leave her husband. She does leave him. Rudra by breaking off that thread technically breaks off any relationship with Paro.
Now they are single ready to mingle.
While she is walking, he can come, pick her up in his phatphatiya, take her to a mandir and tie an actual mangalsutra this time.
Too much? Let me know:)
Shwetha hats off to your creativity.
Delete@Ratna I too second Shwetha regarding bak bak...Please do daily. Don't worry about missing comments. Dia will take care of that.
Dia Hope you don't mind. I'm posting a link from IF.
Deletehttp://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4016097
Ratna it's for you. There is lot of positivity and sensible discussion. It's almost 10 pages. I just ready half way because of time constraint. You will really feel good, that this track will play out well. Happy reading:)
Dia wanted to add. The discussion in that post was mainly on the difference between Laila and Paro . It's like detailed version of your post. The forum has got really very good writers.
DeleteLakshmi, thanks for that link ... that was a good discussion. And very amiable, unlike the rather heated discussions that happen elsewhere.
DeleteRatna, bak bak away ... the more the merrier!
Dia, Loved your post. To hold and to heal...difference between Laila and Paro.Bang on!!!! Apart from Parud scenes nothing worked much in today's episode. Really hope Paro maintains her smartness. Don't want her to go on sacrificing mode.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get, what Mohini wants to achieve in bringing Laila...Making her to do aarti....how come any outsider can do such things when whole family is present and that too they don't even know her...ridiculous. I want Parud to smell the coffee...or atleast Rudra should make Paro to see Laila's true colors, then they both can work together to get rid of her.
@Ratan it's just one episode. They have done introduction of Laila and Mohini's mastermind in it. Let's wait and watch how this track will play a role in Parud's love progress. Between Parud doesn't need any villainous cupid....they are already in their own world..
I want Paro to ask about her change of clothes....she didn't bring any with her. Don't lose hope. CVs has to bring some positivity at least for TRP sake. It's been just one episode...lets wait how they are going to unfold.
I wish they had shown Mohini and Laila joining together after she comes to the havel, this whole Mohini inviting Laila is mehhhhhhhhh.....

ReplyDeleteIt was one of those episodes which held your interest while you watched but later you are left with,
What just happened again?
Paro convinces Rudra to let Laila stay.
From her POV - she is a victim of Tejavat and needs to be protected.
Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........
Rudra's shaatir dimaag functioning at full speed thanks to Vitamin L,
is not fully convinced.
Decides to give Laila benefit of the doubt plus
he was emotionally armtwisted by Paro
(Paro Baisa,
Your husband is very bewakoof when it comes to you, otherwise thoda uskay dimaag and judgement par bhi kabhi bharosa kar liya karo).
Anyway Shirt exchange scene with BD..........Grrrr........
cute scene and here is why Paro - Rudra are so damn cute.
Paro asks him outright, Why my case is different, interpret it as special?
Rudra replies. of course you are, hides it with the classic 2 kadam dhang say chalna toh seekho.
Paro - oh Whatever Dude, You think I am special. That is more than enough.
Later:
Paro - I know she is in love with you.
Rudra - WT* She told you everything?
Paro - She did not need to, it was pretty obvious.
Rudra - Are you nuts? You are my WIFE. How can you let a woman stay who admits she is in love with me.
Paro - oh Whatever Dude, You just admitted that I am your wife.
What was that vachan no. Who is counting/cares that
Main tujhay apni patni ka darja nahin doonga Paaro...
Paro - So what she is in love with you?
I love you. I know it. You know it. I have told you.
You love me. I know it. You know it. I am waiting for you to admit it.
Laila, Who?
Rudra - You are nuts!!
Paro - I know, why else would be so crazily in love with you.
Paro- You came this close to sharing some of your past that bothers you so much.
oh Well, first let me deal with the past that is presently sleeping on our bed. Besides, The rats are off to summer vacation, so am not worried about them.
Rudra - I wish I could share my burden with you. Oh well, Let me first deal with my kabaad my haddi past at present.
Aman, you better be working hard in finding out about Tejavat as I do what I do best, Outsource and take rest.
So Rudra after triumphantly returning back to his work, outsourcing everything to Aman and selling 723145 Ghodas, Sleeps.
So tired he was after a hard day's work.....errrrrr.........that his BSD training did not wake him up when Laila so easily made an entry and exit with that creaking door.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.................Dangggggggggg!!!
Mohini and Laila's midnight meeting talking about everything except
how will Laila help in kicking Rudra out,
breaking Rudra-Paro marriage and most important even if she succeeds,
why would Laila leave Rudra's home and not kick Mohini out?
How will Laila explain her new dress when she came empty handed,
she can get away with hiding her cellphone,
but a full dress,
don't tell me she has stolen Paro's invisible bag with engorgio charm?
Laila insists she is here to stay.
Mohini told Sumer, it is just a matter of 2 weeks.
What will happen?
TRP Maiyya hi jaanay.
Too many Oh wells today, it is just to convince me All is well.
Will tapkofy later to bak bak :)
Dia what a fantastic contrast you brought out between Paro & Laila.Bahut Badhiya!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loved your yesterday's take too, you are absolutely right Rudra is a very well written character. The frequent breakdowns and sometimes the actor-director does ramanchi.
He was so much better today. Just don't make him cry. Bas bahut ho gaya!!!
Hi Dia
ReplyDeleteThis is Ri, bohemian at IF. I have been a follower R&R since the second season of MJHT. Something that had immense potential... if not for the whole 'legend' brouhaha.
I had been following shows though your blog until RR. But always felt like an intruder slash evesdropper. I feel its high time I 'came out'. Your takes a treat to read. Hope you do not mind me stalking your blog. What went down at IF a couple of days back left a rather bad taste. Reminded me why I chose to stay away for the past four years. Don't want all that negativity to color my views on the show. Thank you for posting your takes here. And providing a space for fabulous discussions.
Hi Ri!
DeleteWelcome:)
Looking forward to getting to know you and reading you.
Shwetha you are too funny - enjoy reading your comments!
DeleteHi Ri!!! Welcome to R&R:) I was like you when IPK was on air. Looking forward to your discussions.
DeleteHi Ri, and welcome! I've read your takes on the RR forum, good to see you here. No one is an eavesdropper here ... just post and join the fun. The only rule here is no Sanaya bashing ... everything else is fine! :))) You can criticise her acting, though ... that's okay!
DeleteYou've been here since MJHT days?! Wow, awesome!!! I started this blog when I was a silent reader on IF ... I found it too juvenile ... still do! I prefer this place, we have some awesome discussions here. This place was buzzing during IPK days ... I hardly went to IF! Hope you'll join in the chats here ... I love your comments in IF, will look forward to your comments here too.
Shwethu, that Paro Rudra conversation you wrote is EPIC!!!!
Deletehey dia,
ReplyDeletei'm quoting something from the new TC article.i hope it is wrong.
"Tarun quit Rangrasiya since his character wasn’t shaping the way he was told it would when he joined the show.
“I believe in working on my characters and doing full justice to them”
link to full article-http://www.tellychakkar.com/tv/tv-news/tarun-khanna-shows-his-dancing-eyebrows-he-visits-tellychakkarcoms-office-511
so what will happen to thakursa and mala's track?and friends,i didn't see any discussion on new promo here.nobody saw it!
and do u all think there'll be a special 100th epi?.pls do share ur views
ratna.
ps:.dia where's ur take??hope u do update soon
This is not good news ... Tejawat is an important character, or he will be in the Mala track. They will have to get another actor, I doubt they can do away with the character.
DeletePromo discussion in next post :) It was the precap today
Somehow I don't think Tarun has quit... coming from TC, definitely do not believe it. Didn't they come out with the same news in March which Tarun clarified that that he indeed was not quitting. Do we have a similar news from another source?
DeleteRead full update. Lovely take Dia. You have highlighted all those scenes which I enjoyed. Laila turning positive....don't now if they will go Lavanya way. Lavanya and Khushi had a beautiful bond in IPK. As you said she did well in the bedroom scene with Paro. She has to compete with mighty KCM. The actor playing KCM just nails it naturally. All the other casts have settled well, so as of now she looks out of place. Hope she too settles well in her character soon.
ReplyDeleteTB article was there, she may stay more than two weeks if TRP janta likes this track it seems. If this track focus more on Parud and their developing bond than evil plans, it will be good to watch. They should not over do with plotting , definitely a big no to murder plans. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for the warm welcome, ladies :)
ReplyDeleteYes Dia, been around that long *sheepish* . MJHT was more of a light entertainment, but the second season really caught my attention. Sadly, it did not last long :( Sanaya bashing? I am quite fond of the girl. Went to IF less and less of late. As much as I loved the posts there, there is no point if the environment ends up putting you off. Thank you for liking my comments on IF. I am not much of a writer, but would love to share my thoughts on the show. Looking forward to discussing it will you all.
Shweta, love your posts... the bak bak or gyaan as you call them. The commenter on top isn't me :>) But I completely agree with her.
