Quick take ... liked Sanaya's dance.
Paro's expressions of pain, terror and panic at the end were outstanding ... made you feel Paro's pain, and hate Laila. And why the hell they had to freeze on Laila's face at the end, beats me .... grrr!!!
Rudra banna has become very good hubby ... but why does he have to lose his brains if Paro has lost hers? Why give in to Paro to keep Laila in the haveli? That's not one of her brightest ideas!
Laila's and Mohini's one-upmanship is annoying ... and its not leading anywhere. Laila knows Mohini won't kick her out in a hurry, or let her leave.
Liked the Parud scene, especially the part when Rudra leaves, stops and looks back, and Paro's joy that he turned and actually smiled. He did.

Few more comments on the episode -
Laila still seems to be behaving very irrationally ... for a woman who wants Rudra back, she shows time and again that she doesn't understand the man at all ... and definitely not the man he is changing into. Hurting Paro? When she herself was the first one to notice his changed behaviour towards Paro? What does she hope to achieve by that? This seems more the jealous rage of a jilted woman than any carefully thought out plan. And jealous rage will get her nowhere ... Rudra will become even more protective of Paro, and more determined to throw Laila out, if she harms his precious wife.
After the Jaipur trip, and then Rudra's breakdown in Paro's arms, there has been a marked change in their equation. He seems well on the way to accepting her as his wife, with all the rights that position gives her ... although accepting that he loves her, is still way off. Love will make him vulnerable ... but Paro as his wife can fuss over him, tease him, do 'tilak' ... all those little gestures can be garbed under the cloak of 'wifely duties' ... hence they don't make him vulnerable.
And Paro of course has completely lost her fear of Rudra ... a girl can't be scared of a man who has bawled like a baby in her arms, and told her his deepest darkest secrets, his most vulnerable moments ... and not when he was drunk, but in his full senses.
And so her confidence with Rudra, as his wife, as someone who holds some meaning for him, grows more and more each day ... and every little gesture makes her hopeful that one day he will care for her as much as she cares for him... including the way he grumbles and rants, but accepts her wishes and follows them, including the one about giving Laila a second chance and allowing her to stay in the house. That was not the brightest thing for Paro to ask for, and definitely the one Rudra should have put his foot down on.
But all these little gestures are adding up ... Rudra's call to check if she reached home safely, his allowing her to put tilak ... his drinking tea with nothing more than a few perfunctory grumbles and scolds, which Paro took with a pinch of salt. Hence her happiness today when he looked back and gave her a smile.
Sanaya's dance was beautiful ... vigorous and energetic, oozing pure joy ...
Paro's scream at the end was gutwrenching ... hats off to Sanaya for that single scene, that was the scene of the episode.
dia,
ReplyDeleteposting the first comment here.so starting on a positive note, the parud scenes were cute and lovely.
and my qn,AAKHIR KITNE DIN HUM ISS LAILA KO SAHEIN?????
SELF TALK-calm down ratna[to myself].how much will u go on ranting about laila, nobody wiill listen to u and cvs will be the last persons to do so.GH has perfected his art of ruining a show,[see MB for example ]and the audience are left oh!when will the drama stop?so just calm down, seems like B&B are not gonna improve and stop finding any positivity here dear, bcoz u're not going to get anyy[END OF SELF TALK]
SERIOUSLY GUYS,I'M JUST TIRED OF RANTING ABT LAILA AND HER ANTICS.AND CVS, HAVE RESORTED TO VICTORY OF HER CHEAP TRICKS LIKE CHILLY WATER! i used to like ankita in preeto and loved her in amrit manthan, and now i can't even tolerate her.see the difference.
i'm fed up of asking to everybody that when will laila track end?seems like the question does not even stand a chance.as in the latest article, ankita herself said to watch out for more interesting [really??] twists and turns.*head desk*
who knows when will positivity return to rr??hope i do find some positivity in dia's take and comments of shwetha and others.
ON A SIDE NOTE,I THINK ITS HIGH TIME THE IF GIRLS START TRENDING TO THROW LAILA OUT LKE THE WAY THEY TRENDED FOR PROMOS.SEEMS ONLY THAT WILL WORK NOW.
AND SELF TALK IS MY WAY OF RELAXING AND CALMING DOWN MYSELF WHEN I'M TOO FRUSTRATED TO MAKE A POST DUE TO SUCH EPIS.
ratna.
Chill Ratna, you are not alone in venting out. Laila is not working the way CV's has planned so far. The promo seems to be interesting. Let's see how they are going to unfold after Rudra's confession.
DeleteI like the new promo ... what will be Paro's reaction, is the question. Will she agree to throw Laila out finally? I hope so ... Laila can work with Mohini from outside the haveli, rather than inside ...
DeleteLike I said in my edit above ... Laila is not working because the cvs have changed her characterization ... from the woman who first noticed Rudra's feelings for Paro, even before he did himself ... now she's trying to hurt Paro? What does she hope to achieve?
But I don't mind her as long as she continues to fail ... although poor Paro got the brunt of her villainy today, tomorrow Laila will suffer as soon as Rudra sees Paro hurt ... hope he throws Laila out, and no questions asked! And hope to God Paro doesn't play martyr and say it happened by mistake and Laila can stay.
even,i don't understand this now,my comment on this post disappeared!pls do fix it dia.
ReplyDeleteratna.
Dia agree with you. Sanaya danced gracefully. Paro crying in pain…. That was painful too. But Laila is not at all working . Seriously, don’t know what CV’s are going to achieve by this old tried and tested formula of evil plots and physical injuries. Hope they won’t lose their loyal viewers for TRP janta.
ReplyDeleteThey can show Rudra’s insecurities regarding Paro knowing his past with Laila and Paro’s inner conflicts to leave him when love is blooming between them. The leads will just nail those scenes. They have a wonderful casts. Please CV’s stop showing Laila and her stupid plans.
I liked Parud scenes in today’s episode. The way she wished him after the tilak, him turning back , though it was a coincidence, he genuinely smiled at her gesture. Paro elated by his smile…. Those were cute.
The dance sequence seems to be forced just for this chilly drama. At least it should trigger many brains tomorrow, I want our investigator Maithili in action, also Rudra’s brain to kick start. Looking forward to read more from you all.
P.S Wonderful discussion regarding TOI article in another thread. Really glad to see many old members of this virtual café again in action.
I would like to see more of Paro's conflicts too ... with Ashish off for JDJ, they can have more Paro-Maithili scenes, with Maithili trying to drill some sense into Paro, that Laila is bad news, so listen to your hubby and let her go.
DeleteProblem is, with JDJ, Rudra will be seen a little less, so Laila automatically gets more screen space ... rather than her, let Paro Maithili get more time, they are far more interesting to watch. I don't even mind watching Mohini-Sumer .. let Mohini go out to meet him furtively, and Laila catch her ... that will give Laila another hold over Mohini ...
But less of Laila please ... the actress is painful!
Also what happened to Paro's mannat of leaving as soon as Rudra was well enough? I guess again with JDJ, Rudra's hand will remain paralysed till Ashish is back full time.
Hoping to see more Paro-Maithili scenes too. And finally some insight into Paro's character. Long time coming.
DeleteI too think they are going to drag the paralyzed hand thing. Ashish needs to be available full time when Paro leaves him.
Am glad the Sanaya is not participating in JDJ this year. As much as we all would have loved to see her dance. Her correcting KJo on Drashti's name did not go down well last year. Knowing KJo, the man would have been particularly critical and acerbic with Sanaya.
New Promo ... Rudra tells Paro about Laila and his eight year relationship with her. Promo looks good, intense.
ReplyDeleteFinally!! Glad that Rudra himself came clean with Paro about Laila. Hoping this would get the intensity back. And finally Paro can get over her bhoot. Every day for 8 years? A bit too much.
ReplyDeleteWondering how they will take it from here. If Paro leaves now after the reveal, Rudra would definitely question if it was due to him confessing his relationship with Laila.
Coming back to the episode, enough of Laila, already! The dance was good. Sanaya nailed it with the chilli scene. The scream, the expressions. Perfect!
Liked the tilak scene. And the scene before the dance when he leaves. After the promo scene is played out, it is going to be a while until we have such light scenes again.
Dia, I replied to you above regarding Promo, but it didn't appear. I'm looking forward to the promo . ALso very glad to see the buzz in R&R.
Delete@Ritika 8 years indeed is a very long period. I don't want Paro to take it lightly , also a big no to sacrificing her love for Laila. Hope Paro tells her reason before leaving Rudra. This couple are honest and communicating. So it will be a good watch when they know what lies between them and how they bridge the gap.
Yep, Ri ... Rudra telling Paro about Laila ... while I'm glad Rudra told Paro himself, if she leaves after this, he is bound to question himself as to how much was due to his affair with Laila? Eight years is a long time. I don't want Paro to take the affair lightly ... I hope this leads to Rudra falling off his pedestal as reincarnation of Shivji himself for Paro, and he becomes a mere man, subject to the weakness and flaws of any normal human being.
DeleteAnd I want Paro also to have a normal reaction ... any woman would be freaking jealous of a woman who shared eight long years with her husband, be it before marriage or not. Paro should have doubts about her relationship with Rudra .. if he could leave a woman after eight years for her, if he did not fall in love with Laila for eight years ... would he really be able to love Paro after eight weeks or months ... or ever?
Lakshmi, I doubt Paro would give her reasons before leaving. Does not make for much drama. But then again, the writers rarely go the cliched way.
DeleteDia: Exactly. 8 years is too long a time. If he could dump a woman he had a physical relationship with for 8 long years, without even a second look, Paro should wonder what would stop him from dumping her if and when he falls out of love. He has not confessed his love yet. And she kind of forced him to force-marry her. I really want Paro to introspect on this. Doubts, jealousy, everything would work.
If the writers brush this aside, it would be a TRP sure-kill. IPK never really recovered after the infamous homecoming. Quite frankly, it was a deal breaker for me too. Could no longer root for a couple where the husband allows his wife's morals to be questioned for three long episodes..... in spite of being well aware of the truth.
Just caught last few minutes of today's epi and felt sorry for Ankita - she simply DOES NOT ooze vampishness from the pores of her being to be an effective villain. That is where Kakisa and Thakursa were so effective! Her dancing also pales in comparison to Sanaya's grace and lightness of foot. Ankita is amongst a very talented ensemble of actors and unfortunately she is not of same calibre.
ReplyDeleteAki , I too feel sorry for Ankita. I think first time she has tried this negative avatar, but unfortunately it's not her cup of tea. Also she fades away before Kaikasa. I didn't like her scene with Kaki yesterday.
DeleteYep, I feel bad for Ankita too ... she just doesn't cut it as a vamp. She was obviously not getting good leading roles, hence the switch ... but she's not good enough for vamp. And she's supposed to be a trained dancer .. she was quite bad yesterday in the dance. She just makes too many faces, she pouts her lips, twitches her eyebrows, all too OTT. You can see the difference between her and kakisa ... I found Mohni OTT at times earlier ... but compared to Ankita, she is awesome!
DeleteI don't get what went wrong here. Ankita is not a bad actress. She is trying a bit too hard to be all vamp-ish, and it shows. More so when she is around fabulous actors.
DeleteHello Everyone
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you all here.
Dia always look forward to your updates to read your take on the episode.
Loved Sanaya dancing and she looked as if she was really enjoying it as well. Don't like Laila, acting seems a bit off, she is working with a higher caliber actors and maybe she is trying a bit too hard. I would like a lot more cute scenes with Rudra letting his guard down a bit more and Paro feeling a bit more secure in her relationship, but I suppose it will come in time, once they get rid of Laila.
Take care all, see you all soon

Lin,
DeleteGood to see you here! Sanaya is always a pleasure to watch when she dances, she puts her whole heart and soul into it.
Someone gave an interesting symbolic take on the dance in the main forum ... paraphrasing it here .. and adding bits of my own thoughts.
When Paro dances, she brings in everyone to dance with her ... Sunehri, Maithili, even the random woman with flowers ... and scatters the flowers all over. The flowers are marigolds ... which are auspicious flowers, used very often in the temple and in festivities like weddings.
When Laila enters, she does some complicated steps, which Paro doesn't know .. Paro watches her and copies her faultlessly ... Laila danced to show Paro down, to tell her that she, Laila is superior to Paro in this field, and by extension, in other fields, especially her knowledge of Rudra. But Paro observed her, learned from her, and took over the dance from her again, and Laila had to retire ... to complete her earlier plan of hurting Paro. So she can never show herself to be better than Paro in Rudra's eyes.
And agree with you about the actress ... the general consensus across the board is the same. Ankita is not good as Laila. One place where the cvs messed up in casting. She doesn't look sultry or sexy ... she looks dumpy and older than Rudra, and her acting is way below par.
Hi again
ReplyDeleteForgot to add, thank you Shwetha for your update as well.
Look forward to reading more

Hello Everyone. I am new to this blog. So, not really sure how to kick-start the bak-bak. Dia your take on RR is awesome. It actually tones down some negativity from the serial. The only thing that keeps me glued to RR these days is the light, sweet moments between Paro & Rudra.
ReplyDeleteHi Madumitha !!! Welcome to R&R:)
DeleteHi madhu-mita ... welcome to the blog! Thanks for your sweet note on my take ... my takes are actually much less detailed these days than they were during IPK ... I just don't have the time. Hopefully will write more once I'm back from holiday.
DeleteYep, PaRud are very sweet these days ... they behave like a hubby wife married for years ... Paro completely twists Rudra around her pretty little finger, and he loves it!
Jump in and start bak baking ... all sensible and nonsensical posts are equally welcome!
Hey madhu-mitha. Welcome to R&R.
DeleteSaw the new promo. I wonder how Paro would react to Rudra's confession. Hope she doesn't go on the self-sacrifice mode.
ReplyDeleteShwetha where are you??? Will come and read your bak bak.. Have to go now. Good day to all;)
ReplyDeleteAndha Kanoon aka Andha BSD moment of the day
ReplyDeleteDaanveer, the experienced BSD personnel does not recognize his own wife's handwriting??!!!
Daal hi Kaala hai moment.
Mohini - Main Aap kay aagay haath jodit hoon
Daanveer- Haiiiiiiiiin????
ofcourse that did not happen today.
Laila - I lied so your family will accept me.
Rudra - Accept you as what? You are a guest for 2 days, why will anyone accept you....
Ofcourse that did not happen today.
Tell me again, How did the Ranavat men get into BSD?
CHA(I)matkaar moment of the day.
Rudra actually drank Ghar Ka Chai.
Vaastu Moment of the day
So he storms off the breakfast table, goes to the kitchen (sneaks in his breakfast) and comes back for Chai I mean Phone?
Why didn't he go straightaway to their bedroom?
Where did he go storming off, explain Haveli ka vaastu to me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeej:)
Is Pyaar ko kya Naam Doon?
Laila grabbing Mohini and slamming her up against the wall.
B&B, I understand!!
We miss IPK too:(
Jhalak (Mat) Dikhlaja
Ek Baar Nahin
Hamesha kay Liye Jaa Jaa Jaaaaa...Jaaa...
Watching Laila interact with Mohini is as watchable as watching Sreesanth's Promo of Jhalak Dikhlaja....NOT!!!
Maar DANDA Maar
Who wanted to Grab Paro's Danda and hit her on her head today?
Rudra made a valid point, If he really means that much, why isn't she going against him wrt Laila.
Future DEAL Moment
Rudra explaining to Paro, Just because I was wrong about you, does not mean I am wrong about everything else.
I will listen to you in matters of home, family. When it comes to matters related to BSD, You will not brush me off.
You will trust my judgement.
Ek chutki/cup Gulaal ki Keemat Tum kya Jaano Laila Baisa Moment.
As hilarious it was to see Pink Gulaal being powdered in that Okhali,
As dumb it was to see Laila Mix Red Dye powder in that dye mixture,
Poor thing what does she know?
She just gave Rudra a Fantastic Excuse to take care and Fuss over Paro.
Yeh Rudra Ka Haath Hai
zaroor Chodega Tumhain Moment.
Precap - Has anyone else noticed that everytime Rudra holds Laila, he does so at an arms' length.
I might be guilty of confusing with IPK, but correct me if I am wrong, in the same scenario,
Rudra is most likely to hold Paro's hand and pull him towards her.
Say it with me, Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Rudra's reaction when he sees Paro tomorrow
*rubs hands in glee*
*Hayeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
Rayban moment of the day.
If Rudra had worn his shades, sun's rather set's lights glare would not have bothered him that much, Right?
He had no intention of turning back, until Surya Devta intervened.
Hmmmm.......
Kabhi Kabhi Rayban bhoolna Achchi baat hoti hai.
Nahiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin Moment of the day.
Hated it when Paro got hurt, Nahiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin:(
Nice discussion today, AD is very hectic today, will try to tapkofy again:)
LOL Shwetha. Love your bak-bak.
DeleteBSD to aewayin hi hai. No wonder they have not been able to gather proof against Tejawat for over a decade and a half.
Laila pinning Mohini to the wall. LOL. LaMo shipping anyone?
