Tuesday 1st April
So this was Rudra's grand plan ... if Paro accepts his proposal to marry Sumer, Sumer has been bribed enough to leave town with Paro. And if she refuses to marry Sumer, Rudra can throw her out saying she doesn't mean her pleas for forgiveness. Heads he wins, tails she loses. He gets rid of Paro.
In all of this, Rudra seems to have completely forgotten that Paro is officially a BSD state witness ... the BSD for which he was crying crocodile tears over the threat of losing his job in ... now he's forgotten all about the fact that he's still in the BSD, and Paro is under his protection.
Rudra's dimaag has gone for an equally long vacation as ASR's did. There was no thought of suspecting Sumer or Mohini ... no thinking at all, in fact ... he just wants Paro to leave. Because beautiful women are not to be trusted. So he will not trust her.
Rudra is coming across as seriously mentally unstable.
And he's pretty sure she will refuse ... just in case she actually wants to self-destruct enough to go ahead with the marriage, he makes it a point to show her her old wedding dress, a reminder of the last time she wore it in a sham wedding.
Because he actually cannot see her with any other man. Whether he admits it to himself or not. He just wants her to go away, and stop making a hole in his heart and settling herself in there.
And Paro knows it. Hence her soft-voiced question ... 'if I marry Sumer and go away, will you finally be at peace?'
Of course he won't. But he can't admit that.
Sumer actually came across as a fairly harmless rogue in his attempts to convince Paro to marry him ... not evil in the least, but completely self-centred and uncaring about anything or anyone other than himself. Including his mother ... giving Mohini the shock of her life, when he threatens to expose her fire treachery, if she tries to stop his marriage. Nagin ka beta saanp hi toh hoga ...
Maithili discovers the duplicate dupatta ... but doesn't do anything much about it ... yet. Although she does see that the tear Paro mended, is missing. She doesn't seem to realise the entire truth, but she does feel sorry enough for Paro to go and speak to her, and tell her not to marry Sumer if she doesn't want to. And also to search her heart as to whom she really does want to marry.
Samrat is a wimp and a wuss ... his brother is wrecking his life, and Samrat is not bothered ... he doesn't want to get into any trouble with his mother. Let Sumer do what he wants ... Samrat can't care less.
And Paro discovers the doll she gave Rudra fifteen years ago ... and from that, she concludes that she and Rudra are meant to be together.
So time to turn the tables on Rudra ... he humiliated her with a public sauda of her marriage with Sumer ... she will return the favour, completely innocently of course, by asking him to marry her in public in front of his entire BSD unit. Doll included. Hoist with his own petard.
Serves you right, Rudra banna ... hope his CO's have something to say (finally!) at his weird methods of protecting his witness.

What are the Creatives smoking to come up with story lines such as this?
ReplyDeleteHoli Bhaang hangover may be?
DeleteThey have gone nuts!
DeleteRudra is now working from home and has now started JustLikeThatMatrimony.com.
ReplyDeleteSumer is a better match for Paro.
He can stand up to Mohini.
He cutely proposes to Paro, I will build you a SuRo Palace.
I will keep you happy, Ro mat Paro, Main hoon na.
Even he is doing it for the money, such is the beauty of Paro's character, plus her Danda skills, banda ek hi haftay may seedha ho jaayega.
The doll scene - Rudra hugging and crying with the doll, Mehhh....Honestly I would have preferred if he had snatched it *like he did* and then instead of getting so emotional*for the millionth time* would have said all that he did bit anger and before putting it away looking at it tenderly or something.
Right now Rudra is getting on my nerves, more so since he started
Kaun Banega Paro ka Pati.
Grrr....
Shwethu, after the episode, I seriously felt that Sumer is a better groom for Paro than Rudra! At least he won't give her false promises and twisted logic ... he is straightforward in his roguishness! And he can stand up to his mother too ... as long as the cash keeps flowing, he is okay! At least one knows where one is with him! Paro usko aaram se seedha kar degi.
DeleteRudra ... uff!!! If the guy would stop crying, one could feel something for him ... even that two minute doll scene, he made it all about himself and his self-pity. Kitna self-centred banda hai ... so his mom left him after twelve years ... well, he left Laila after eight years ... so all moonchiya men are also not to be trusted, right?
He is bugging me!
Dia,
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely confused with what the creatives are trying to show. Not understanding what Rudra is thinking or doing...and Paro continues to want forgiveness from an unstable man who has reduced her to a commodity. Her "rakshak" has completely forgotten about her protection and ready to get rid of her at any cost.
If it is about Paro realizing her love for Rudra, it is all so abrupt and sudden, that it leaves me underwhelmed and unimpressed. Even the doll scene, which was supposed to be a highlight, seemed so hurried and left no impact on me.
The storytelling is getting very poor and confusing.
Spending very little time on IF from the past couple of weeks, just not finding the motivation to login. Only look out for yours and couple other posts.

Uma,
DeleteI can actually understand what Rudra is trying to do ... after second watch. The story telling is so confused that it needed to be spelled out in clear words. Rudra wants Paro to leave at any cost ... BUT he also wants to prove to himself that beautiful women are not to be trusted. So this very twisted "test" ... if she truly wants his forgiveness, she has to prove she is unfaithful ... just a simple, "Yes, I forgive you, now leave" won't prove anything to his satisfaction. Either she is unfaithful or she is lying ... heads he wins, tails she loses.
Never mind the fact that Paro never promised him anything in the first place, so the question of her being faithful or unfaithful to him is really moot.
And its all very well that Paro wants his forgiveness ... but from such an unstable man, with such warped and illogical thinking? Why even bother? Yes, we get that he thinks beautiful women are untrustworthy, but the way it's been hammered down the throats of the viewers, I have lost all sympathy for Rudra about his 'beautiful women' whine ... he just sounds like a sulky brat throwing a tantrum!
Shouldn't Paro's realisation of her love for Rudra have been more gradual and more impactful? It made no sense at all ... the guy tries to sell her off, just to exorcise his own demons, and she is actually considering marrying Sumer, just to earn his forgiveness? How can she ever trust such a man, forget about loving him? The doll was such a huge part of their story, their link to their shared past ... it was brought out so abruptly and sketchily ... made no impact. It's a big turning point ... because of that, Paro will rush to propose to Rudra ... but it was done really badly. And Rudra whining again about his sad past where he had only one friend, left me unmoved.
Only Sanaya's acting was good ... Ashish was below par. There is no confusion, no conflict in his eyes ... I liked Sumer better in the episode than Rudra!
I am also feeling very little motivation to post on IF these days ... just making episode posts here. Don't even feel like discussing the episodes, I don't connect to the characters as of now.
I think they are rushing for the high point today, as it's the only day when there is no cricket match. All the Colors shows have high points today. Next week will be another rushed phase, before IPL starts ... I guess the Paro-Rudra wedding will happen next week. I hope that it's just a simple maang mein sindoor bharna type of wedding ... they can't possibly have a third grand wedding in three months! Usually the leads' first wedding is a rushed affair ... they have a grand one only after they fall in love, so if Paro-Rudra do get married, I'm sure it will be a simple rushed thing.
dia,...
Delete"I guess the Paro-Rudra wedding will happen next week. I hope that it's just a simple maang mein sindoor bharna type of wedding ."do u really think the wedding will happen?after the grand wedding fiasco, i have lost faith in cvs.but this is their last chance for getting trps.hope what u said about the wedding happen.
ratna.
Just wanted to add, when Rudra held Sumer's hand and stopped him from wiping Paro's tears, I was getting super annoyed, first he humiliates Paro and then tries to be gallant!!
ReplyDeleteThese scenes are not redeeming him!
-U
That scene was more about Paro's realisation as to what Rudra is doing ... she realised then that he does not want her to marry Sumer at all, as he is claiming. He doesn't even want Sumer anywhere hear her. So it gave her more of an insight into Rudra.
DeleteIt doesn't redeem him in any way ... it just makes it easier for Paro to read him. At first watch, I was super annoyed with him too ... then I watched it from Paro's perspective ... actually today the entire episode was about Paro's change of mind ... Rudra was being a vacillating idiot! First he says, I know you will say no, then he says, I know you're stubborn enough to say yes ... so he gives her the red lehnga deliberately to remind her that the last time she wore it was for a farce of a wedding ... and so will this one be, if she marries Sumer.
So he's desperately trying to tell her not to marry Sumer ... but he can't be wrong about beautiful women, so he has to do it in a way that proves HIM right!
What a bozo! I am losing all sympathy for Rudra as of now.
Am confuses too at what Rudra is trying to achieve.....if he wants her out of his life, he can just forgive her and then she has no reason to stay...why this marry Sumer? What is he trying to prove?
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY!!!! You said it ... if he wants Paro out of his house and his life so desperately, all he has to do is tell her that he forgives her ... after all, that's all she came back for, isn't it? Why this sham about marry Sumer to get my forgiveness?
DeleteJust to show that actually Rudra doesn't want her to leave ... he wants to prove to himself that all beautiful women are faithless ... so he is justified in mistrusting her. Blehhh ... a very, very weak flawed hero in my book ... not even a hero at all.
