There was a time when Rudra was Paro's protector. He protected her from bodily harm, protected her from being sold off into slavery, protected her even from his own relatives.
Today Paro turns protector ... to protect his honor, his name and his job.
Loved the first scene ... started off with the laughter, then the sudden awareness ... and then the awkwardness ... beautifully portrayed by both actors. And loved the awkward way Rudra told Paro to share the bed ... and the way she agreed[ wordlessly ... there was a thehraav, a gentleness and a softness in the scene. Liked the little smile on Paro's face at the end of the mouse episode ... she knows how difficult it is for Rudra to show any softness at all, and his last words were more grumbling for the sake of grumbling, than any real anger at all.
The entire dropping the milk, Paro getting burned, and then hiding her burn was pretty contrived ... Paro just had to say that she dropped hot milk on her hand ... or even drop a gentle hint that Kakisa left the milk there ... domestic violence is domestic violence, whether by husband or MIL ... or KCM. Hope Rudra points that out to her ... that she doesn't need to hide her wounds.
However it led to another PaRud scene, with Rudra putting bangles on Paro's hand, Paro hiding her pain ... Sanaya's expressions were awesome there, I could almost feel her pain ... and Rudra finally realising that something was wrong and looking at her questioningly. And I loved Paro's determination to counter all Kakisa's moves, to save and protect her husband's name and badge.
But I hope KCM comes up with better ideas ... or rather, the writers come up with better ideas ... this one was very contrived.
Am rather amused with GH ... he seems to be re-visiting many of the IPK scenes, and turning them into a redemption track of sorts ... Paro almost fell off the bed but Rudra saved her ... Paro got burned the day after marriage, and Rudra will probably apply salve to her burn.

ReplyDeletei'm rather amused at the fact that the CVs are clearly stalking R&R or IF for sure .see,last day,i mentioned that mohini shd call paro beendni and not baaisa to which u too agreed,and it was done in todays epi and even paro's costumes changed from simple ghagra to the level of the haveli's bahu and that too wonderful costume,i absolutely loved sanaya in the red/green costume with a simple necklace along with the dhaga mangalsutra.hope the cvs keep up the trend.
coming to the epi,
1.i really don't want the SWs to leave so soon,else rudra will go back to 8 phere mood,they should change him truly,enough to surprise dilsher on his return[which shd be also fast].paro also should smile from the heart and enjoy
after the SW track.
2.i'm ok with kaakisa's antics as long as she doesn't turn back to her evil schemes.and if all that she wants is to have rudra and family exit from haveli,why cant they just move out when rudra gets back his job and things are fine btw parud.not so difficult to get him a new place to stay[i know this won't happen,the spice of the show may also go.but,kaakisa's character can go to any extent in her selfishness.she's better in the taunting mood]
3.the lead pair's chemistry is not sufficiently explored.in today's epi,there were only some scenes of parud.Along with the story,the CVs should make parud's chemistry as one of the USPs of the show,such a potential jodi must be utilised properly.
4.show stealer;undoubtedly sanaya stole the show today.from dialogues to expressions,everything was just perfect.the epi looks really nice when sanaya is in full form along with ashish and the other cast.
lastly,still NO PROMOS?NO PROMOTIONS,SBB.SBS etc.is ST and cvs sleeping/ignoring this area?atleast,like BI,take some interesting scenes from coming epis,club it and make a promo.flash it in most ad breaks so that the trp audience do tune into see what's happening. without any promotion,how can they expect high trps?though,i don't believe in the trp system would like to see good ratings for RR.

DeleteOkay, more things I like ... Paro wears richer ghaghras during the day, as befitting a newly married bride ... and changes into her simple cotton ones at night, and no jewelry :) I think that is a Sanaya trait, she has mentioned that she finds it odd how soap heroines sleep with full jewelry, so I think she consciously makes sure to change for night scenes, if she has the time.
Also I like that the episodes are getting more positive ... the heroine is managing to outwit the vamp ... and Paro's character is being given more space and time. Looking back, I feel they could have done Paro's change of heart about Rudra SO MUCH better ... they should have spent at least a week of episodes on that, not just one scene with Rukmini! Paro should have been completely broken ... then gone to give her statement ... Rudra refused for her to come to the haveli ... she should have been sent off with Aman or to another family ... Rudra rescue her again and Paro return to the haveli reluctantly and slowly start to admire Rudra for saving her despite suspecting her about Dilsher ... the whole marriage thing should have been a ploy of Sumer's and Mohini's which backfired, rather than Paro's zeal and sudden love realisation, which wasn't given any time at all. Then they would have had a reluctant groom and a reluctant bride both. That would have given them a good long track to show both falling in love.
Now Paro is already in love, Rudra is halfway there ... there are no MU's worth the name between them ... where are they going from here?
Unless the story is more like Othello from now on ... both madly in love, but Rudra's insecurities destroy their lives.
I just hope they keep Paro different from Desdemona ... a strong Paro is much more watchable than a sweet, simple but ineffective Desdemona would be. Since they are also weaving in Shiv-Parvati, Paro HAS TO be strong. After the wedding, Paro's character is being given more time, and is developing better, so let's hope for the best.
Agree completely about SBB/SBS and especially PROMOS .... where are the RR promos??? I tune in to Colors and see Bani promo, BI promo, BV promo .. even SSK promo, which is a show I never watch ... but no RR promos at all! With the track becoming all about Mohini vs Paro, a good promo would reel in some TRP junta ... just put in some scenes from the show and make it!
DeleteI like the new montage ... they changed the earlier one with Sanaya with her head covered, thank god ... didn't like her look in that one at all. She is looking much better in this one. Rudra is more or less the same ...
Rudra also needs to start changing slowly ... most reviews complained he has only one expression on his face ... and I have to agree! Lately he has no real reason to be so grumpy ... he has to show some softening now! There has to be more confusion and conflict in his face in scenes with Paro ... and the makers have to give him the time to show those emotions. The first bedroom scene was beautiful, because both actors had enough time to show the entire range of emotions. The kitchen scene when Rudra storms in to accuse Paro, then storms out ... so sketchy, no time given to either character. So Paro's realisation of Mohini's plan also felt very sketchy and contrived. They should have lengthened the scenes a bit more, and given time for Paro to reflect on why Rudra got angry, she never put too much chilli ... had her taste Rudra's dish and the rest ... and THEN realise that someone had tampered with it ... and then figure out Mohini's plan.
Rudra Banna will never get dehydrated.

Tomorrow, am guessing Rudra will first MU her ki don't get so emotional that I am putting bangles, it was for them blah blah, grab her wrist in anger/irritation and then will realize Oops, I did it again....Yeh Gadbad hai.

I think he has realized something is wrong. But I'm not sure about his actions. He acts in impulse always. Hope he nurses her. They have to bring back Bapu sa or Aman or other family members...otherwise they will end up with KCM and her silly devious tricks..Bholenath save us.

But the whole point is for Paro to make sure he doesn't erupt in public ... showing him lose his temper will also show him in a bad light, whether it be towards her or towards kakisa. So her main job is to keep him calm in front of the ladies.
DeleteYaar, the entire show is now about PaRud and Mohini ... not good. They HAVE to re-start some parallel tracks. Where the heck has Samrat disappeared? Maithili can easily put two and two together about the duplicate clothes and Maithili's sighting of Mohini giving them to the maid, and they can use that as a way to pressure Mohini to agree for adoption. Or start a new track with him having an EMA ... or Sunehri getting into trouble ... and Rudra Paro saving her ... kuch toh karein!
Paro Aman ke scenes daal dein ... Paro worrying about Rudra's temper if he finds out that Mohini is trying to hurt her to get to him ... Aman trying to reassure her, and say he will keep Rudra busy. That way he can visit the haveli and we can get a comic Sunehri-Aman track ... though I don't want Sunehri for Aman, he deserves someone better!
I would actually love for Damyanti to smell a rat about Mohini and warn her ... that will leave Mohini spluttering and fuming. I have noticed Damyanti keeps giving Mohini sharp looks as much as she does Rudra ... if she is a SW worth her salt, she should figure out that Mohini's sweet talk is all a front. But I like the tashan between Paro and Mohini ... for once a heroine is very clear what the vamp is up to, and is determined to fight her.
Loved the Bedroom scene between Rudra n Paro..was done so well. Agree we need to have more variety...Paro- KCM-Rudra is verting too monotonous....

Yep, that would be interesting to watch ... Mohini's plans falling flat on her face. I don't know how they can stretch this track more than a week at most ... unless some major hungama happens tonight. They didn't even show a decent precap of PaRud .. it was all about Mohini and her plotting :(
