Request ... can someone bring me up to date with happenings of the last week in brief? I missed the entire week.
Veera ...
Madhubala
Qabool Hai
Dastaan ... heard that this is going off air in a week :( What a pity ... a show with so much promise, which was different from the rest, and had great actors ... and crappy shows go on and on and on ...
Na Bole Tum
Others ... what have we been discussing? Any new interesting shows?
Also heard that Sony, Star and Zee have unsubscribed from the TAM service.

Regarding out discussion on the last thread, when I was arguing about the supposed popularity of DABH, adding an article here which I find relevant. Also pasting the part I especially liked.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.hindustantimes.com/Entertainment/Television/Changing-channels/Article1-1076544.aspx
Most television executives say that one of the biggest stumbling blocks to any change in content has been the business of ratings. TV ratings over the years kept showing that saas-bahu serials were the ones that were the most popular. And the entire TV industry revolves around ratings. So naturally channels made shows that they assumed their audiences wanted to see. How many viewers decide these ratings? Out of 140 million cable and satellite households in India, only 9,602 households have people meters which measure TV viewership. So TV content on Hindi entertainment channels is dictated by 9,602 households. (And I’m not even going into the whole area of how TV ratings exclude the growing number of viewers who watch shows on the Internet or who do not watch in real time but see programmes on recorded devices.) Do ratings give us a true picture of what the bulk of TV audiences really want to see? Obviously, no ratings system is perfect, but even so, sometimes you can’t help but wonder how certain truly unwatchable shows do so well, while the better ones languish at the bottom of the charts.
So, I take it that revised system did not do much good.
DeleteI agree to an extent- BALH is universally considered one of the best shows- their trp is never very high.
Veera is made very well- but it does not hold me as a viewer as much as BV.
MB is not my fav show, but I can understand people getting attracted by the superstar concept....
Even I wonder why the good shows don't get good trps, but then, I know many good movies flop whereas movies with slapstick comedy and loud music and dance and glamour do very well, even when they don't appeal to me a bit. (Not as a rule.)
What does the audience want?
What does the majority of the audience want?
They have to devise a way to find that out.
Some more interesting articles regarding our discussion. Sony is taking the lead in online initiatives, and seems to give its online feedback much more importance than it does the TAM ratings. There is a line in this article that "Sony's revenues from its online initiatives run into millions of dollars". So they have figured out a way to monetize the online viewership.
Delete"Sony derives its online revenue through its existing advertising associations. Last year, Sony's official YouTube channel earned significant online revenue from brands like Axis bank, MTS and Maruti that sponsored popular shows like KBC and Indian Idol."
Pasting the link so that you can read the entire article.

Another one - Colors follows suit.
http://www.indiantelevision.com/special/y2k13/colors_special.php
Star Plus - am surprised that IPK is not mentioned at all in the article, considering its huge fan following. Star is bringing IPK back on its international channels from July on Life OK, which shows that it recognizes the huge reach this show had. Smart move - it will improve the viewership of Life OK and please the fans - two in one :)))

IN that case, I do wish they would not pull Dastaan off air, but continue with the serial...it is the only truly different and interesting serial on air at the moment and, if these guys are pulling out of TAM, then why take this show off air?

Delete"The show failed to rake in TRPs despite a promising cast and strong storyline. Also, the production house and the channel weren't on the same page as far as the story of the show was concerned."
Guess it was not just the trps.
Yep, I read that. Wish some other channel would take it over, it was a good show with a decent story line, and very good actors. What does Zee want? Apparently only family dramas ... of all the channels these days, I find it has the least watchable shows. Not talking about QH, that seems to be okay, from all reports, but the rest are just unexciting! The actors and the shows both.
DeleteDia,
DeleteKhela, the original was aired on Zee Bangla- I really wonder what led to this 'not being on the same page' in the hindi channel!
Check this out, BTW.

This one totally cracked me up! rofl.
On Zee shows: Don't even think about watching PV: New ummeed! It is an absolute HORROR!
LOL ... that blog article was HILARIOUS!!!
DeleteWeekend shows:
ReplyDeleteJDJ Vs Supermoms: My vote is for DID.
May be I am biased because of my dislike for the anchors, but I felt JDJ is trying too hard with the offscreen drama. Shaan is the only interesting contestant for me in terms of personality.
Also I like Mithunda and Terrence better as judges though Madhuri is a favourite. NB was a much better made celebrity dance show.
Indian Idol Junior- Super adorable kids! Wahi!!!! I love this guy. Shreya too- she is my fav singer.
Any one watching this? Rekh?
MB: Saturday epi: They shouldn’t drag a first night like this, I felt. It should have been all about RishBala, than Sultan and his mom. The promised scenes must be coming up on Monday.
Synopsis: RK takes Madhu to the Studio which will be the venue for their first night- the way he tied her hands and mouth looked vague until he gave the explanation- he was not in a mood to answer her unending Qs...found that cute. DD tends to get very repetitive...Vivian has improved quite a lot. The promos of the first night look interesting- I hope it delivers.
Sultan and mom- Sultan gets his son to play him, since his mom cannot fathom that the kid would have grown up by now- concept Ok, done very poorly.
QH: Ha ha ha....Gul will not let go of her synopsis, no matter who bad mouths her this time...I am sincerely happy. Looks like the nikah will be cancelled 99%- I would have preferred a MU after the nikah...let us see.
Connected Hum Tum: Actually, not bad. Made well. Doesn’t interest me much, because it has nothing new to offer to me.
Su,
ReplyDeleteThey dragged sat episode for a reason as was apparent in the episode that aired yesterday. They were saving all the Rishbala scene, especially the SR for the memorable 300th episode. The prelude to the SR, the SR itself and the morning after scenes were nicely done, nothing OTT or indecent. Keeping in view VD's discomfiture in intimate scenes, they played to his strengths - dialogue delivery in that husky voice of his and his intense and naughty looks. The scenes and the double meaning dialogues left a lot to imagination which I guess is more fertile than explicit scenes. Thankfully Sultan crap was out of the episode. So they do know what pleases the majority viewers. They did include some unheard of scenes like the love bite and role reversal for the SR.
Me liked it very very much.
Yes Opti.
DeleteFor once, I agree with you totally on MB.
Hmm..I didn't know VD had a problem with intimate scenes. Also, it is aired at 8:30 PM- good to cut down on sensuality for the family audience.
The role reversal and Love bite were cute...(love bites- may be not used in television b4- remember reading FFs on IPK forum...didn't find it very innovative.)..what I liked best was the last line from the bathroom- telling her not to hide it.
I read the 300th epi was on Monday, so I really took the trouble to watch this one- not disappointed at all.
RK took her through their journey in the studio- NICE.
Didn't like that bit with the changing in the booth- looked silly when she was obviously wearing a blouse under his coat....or were we supposed to imagine it was not there? And the workers finding them in the morning...what was RK doing, introducing Madhu, when she has worked there and every one knows RK got married? Hiding his embarrassment?
I caught the MB episode after ages ... agree it was well done. I liked the teasing and the 'cute' factor in the morning after ... RK and Madhu completely familiar and at ease with each other ... it was very natural.
DeleteSu,
DeleteYes, V.D. has repeadly expressed his discomfort in doing intimate scenes. IPK was aired at 8.00 p.m. and it had more physical intimacy than was shown here but I liked both.
Love bites or rather blatant references to it (as was shown here) may be there in FFs but I've never seen it on T.V. So it was innovative for me.
RK picked up the blouse along with her dupatta and her outer lehenga from the rotating stage. So she wasn't supposed to be wearing it when she went in to change. As to RK introducing Madhu, for the firs time the glib talker was found wanting for words. The shameless guy does have some sense of shame, I guess.
Opti,
DeleteI definitely enjoyed romance in IPK more and QH now...but I don't deem either as suitable for a family audience. It can be quite embarrassing when you are watching it with orthodox members of your family.
Quite simply, my FIL would order the TV off when my SIL tried to watch IPK at home.(We are talking about the woman whose son just graduated from NIT. LOL)
I don't know how to explain this. You will probably feel I am nit picking.
I have seen good romance even on shows I don't watch- done quite nicely - YRKKH is an example..it was very simple and neat.
I think the problem I have with MB romance is
1. DD's tendency to make Madhu look dumb... she becomes very childish- I don't find it cute. She did the same with Geet. Khushi and Zoya are also quite childish at times, but I find them endearing- probably because, I, as a viewer find more range of expressions there. And personally, I find them better written.
I love DD when she cries, provided it doesn't last long. I know Madhu is probably supposed to be a nautanki character- filmy and emotional to the core as RK describes her- the character simply gets lost somewhere for me.
2. The direction: There is no flow. I agree the idea was good, the dialogues were good, VD was good- but the fact is, I did not even compare it with IPK or QH (stopped that long time back), but with YRKKH and BV- shows I watch even less than MB-I wouldn't mind rewatching the romance there ( in fact, I did it with BV recently, that too with the couple I don't like- Shiv - Anandi)- I don't find that X- factor in MB. May be because they intersperse it with some unnecessary comedy- as it happened for me with that booth changing and wake up call.
I pull up QH too, for the same reason- but there, it is not the couple- Gul ruins AsYa's romantic moments with Raziya's comedy! The romance as such, is left serious and untouched. (I think we had the same problem with IPK also, where we felt they rushed the romance.)
On the whole, it looked NICE- NOT AT ALL A LET DOWN- but it left me with the feeling that it could have been done better.
I watched BALH after a long time- a wife who was out to get revenge, destroying her husband is devastated when the very same guy is almost lost to her forever...and these two are not even the leads. I would actually love to watch it again even though I am an EK- hater, and I know she has murdered the essence of both these characters to get to this. It was really nicely done. And that is what appeals to me as a viewer.
I guess I watch MB for the humour..they have some really funny dialogues. Also love that intense chemistry between RK ,Dips and Sikki...now that is a triangle! (I am so thankful Madhu didn't throw her out- which was also a nice twist!)
The first night and morning after- it kept with the MB tradition- a little cuteness, a little nautankiness, a little comedy- perfect for a family audience. And I enjoyed it.
Su,
DeleteWe will never agree about MB and QH since we don't follow the shows the other does. Apart from a few Asya scenes I catch on the youtube, the show gives me a headache and hence I avoid watching it on T.V. I have still not warmed up to Surbhi though I like KSG, especially in emotional scenes in which he really excels. That stone eyed girl really puts me off Asya scenes with her around. I liked Vikrant in BV and in that show about a dwarf girl (don't remember the show name) but here his scenes are mostly with Razia or with Humeira, both of whom i don't like. If he is paired with a good looking girl and his romance takes off, maybe I may watch his scenes.
I used to find MB very loud but now that I am hooked to RK-Madhu pair, I enjoy the show and RK is an entertaining character. His unpredictability keeps me engaged. VD's good looks and his excellent dialogue delivery is pleasing to the eyes and ears.
As I had earlier mentioned, my loyalty to pairs lasts only as long as the next pair come along to take their place. So Michi (Milind and Prachi of Kayamath) replaced Jani (Jai and Bani of Kasam Se). Maaneet replaced Michi. Arshi replaced Maaneet and now Rishbala have replaced Arshi.
Since my emotional attachment to the shows and expectations from them keep progressively waning with every successful show, I guess I go more by how engaging the jodi is to me at the moment.
There are shows I watch purely for their brilliant narration and sensitive characterisation like Veera and NBT but then I don't get addicted to them. These shows cater to my need to see sensible shows which satisfies my mind. Crazy jodis like Michi, Maaneet, Arshi and Rishbala satisfies the romantic in me.
Exactly.
DeleteWe are two different kinds of audience.
I love AsYa, but a scene from IPK still makes me go aawww.....
I abandoned Priya and Ram Kapoor to their fate at EK's hands- but I can appreciate the current tracks- such is the strength of the script. (BTW, Priya is the only screen character I feel that is really true to life AS I KNOW IT- typically 'the girl next door'- I mean the way it was written in the early days... The rest like Ganga, Khushi, Zoya or Kumud are simply believable characters.)
Bani- Kasam Se was the first show I ever got hooked on to- I am so thankful I had to break it off before disaster struck it. *wink*
I can appreciate Kumud and Saras as a cute couple, even when I am hooked on only to QH- Their romance was really cute 2 weeks back- now I find it repetitive.
RishaBala- even when I have stopped connecting with the characters, I can appreciate that the SR was done quite nicely. Also, the comedy is quite cleverly done, mostly.
CC: I started watching the show ONLY FOR SANAYA, but now I appreciate a lot of things about it- if they aired it at 11:30, I would watch it as an alternative to MB.
QH: You are not the only one who cannot connect to the couple or the show and I understand it. (And I agree NBT is also made quite well.)
Vikrant- I love him purely for his scenes with KSG- I even wonder if KSG feels a little insecure with him around. *wink*- This guy is just bubbling with energy- makes me fall in love with Ayan.
Humeira- is the only actress I liked with the first epi I watched of QH- I had written off the show with that.
QH on 19.06 was perfect for me as a viewer- it had all the elements in the right proportion- Romance (which was the least), Comedy and Drama- and they made sure these genres didn't overlap. That is important for me as a viewer.
I don't know what Kichdi Gul is planning, but I can forgive her for it after yesterday's epi.
There was a scene where all 3 of Shireen's kids come to wish their bhaijaan- very sweet comedy and drama- followed by Dilshad catching them and welcoming them in a very subtle way...I re- watched that scene some 5 times.
The worst thing about the epi was the bride's make up and get up- horrible, the worst looking bride I have seen- - but otherwise it was done nicely. And even if they cover Surbhi's face with mud, her expressions come through...beautifully.
And that stone- eyed girl...you should hear some of her dialogues..SHOCKINGLY sexually explicit...the QH forum has been screaming to get her out...but the fact is, Amrapali is a wonderful actress. Much better than the initial choice. I cannot help admiring her acting.
DeleteI guess it is a good thing that the villains and vamps don't put me off at all. I welcome them as the spice-makers in the love story.
So finally we do have some common things. Kasam Se was also my first hindi serial I was hooked on to. In fact I started watching it only from Sep 2006 when I was flipping channels and Ram Kapoor caught my eye. The ONS between Jai and Pia, however, put me off the show but I continued to watch in the hope that it was all a trick. In fact my user id (optimist, Opti for short) was based on that hope. Once it was confirmed that it really happened I ditched the show.
DeleteVikrant is an excellent actor and is very good in intense scenses. His pleasing looks are an added advantage. I've not watch much of his scenes with KSG so can't comment on them.
I find DABH quite interesting these days for the sheer contrast they bring out in the Mil and the husband. Here is a woman who worries about the inferiority complexes her son may develop if her Dil becomes an IPS officer and leaves no stone unturn to ensure that her dreams aren't fulfilled. The son on the other hand to bending backwards to ensure his wife's dreams are fulfilled and takes genuine pride at the prospect of being known as the husband of an IPS officer in fuure. Caught between the two the Dil is left confused for she wants to back out after she accidentally comes to know that her Mil is not in favour of her career choice but can't break her hubby's heart as he is all set to make her an IPS officer. A good thing about this show is that they never leave an unclosed loop and the seemingly innocuous scenes do have a purpose which they show later.
I used to watch BALH in the beginning for Ram but gave up after it became more and more Ektaish.
Vikrant: Yessss..INTENSE!
DeleteLoved that car burning scene. And running off to confess to bhaijaan after that...That was one of the first intense scenes KSG had with him and I imagined KSG was a little taken back by him- (He is used to Rishabh's below par acting usually -lol-, and actually was quite friendly with him off screen.)- Like he understood this guy means business. Anyway, he has gotten over that surprise factor, going by yesterday's episode...Rishabh as Ayan was more clingy and spineless, Vikrant lends him a personality... Even KSG mentioned that Ayan has changed- he has supposedly matured...
Kasam Se:I know, I can rant about Kasam Se on and on and on...It was such a beautiful story of three sisters until Ekta went berserk. Loved Ram in that. I stopped watching around the ONS - for other reasons. Simultaneously I was following Saat Phere...When I caught up on these two stories years later (actually surfed for IPK, even though BALH was the second show I got hooked on to...)...I was so glad for that break!
BALH: Ekta started it like Kasam Se- I fell in love with the whole of Priya's family...she was just the typical middle class girl...I still applaud EK for the way she introduces her characters and makes you connect with them. Every one of Priya's relationships was so beautiful- as a caring sister, dutiful daughter, committed teacher- no wonder I can pick up any time I feel like.
Followed it erratically once IPK took over me...stopped watching when Priya decided to let Ram believe she was dead. By then, I knew both the shows were by EK and knew what to expect. Needless to say, Ekta did not disappoint, she turned around the sister in to such a vamp that the actress quit. LOL. But I don't mind watching it now and then for the drama- she is quite good at it. I think it is the only show a lot of working women connect with, in terms of Priya's age and circumstances (I mean motherhood and all), as well as the timing. 10:30 is the perfect time for a working woman to sit down after settling everything and watch a show.
I was just wondering the other day why none of us have mentioned BALH much- considering it is considered quite a hat ke show. I came up on a blog or something from US announcing PV's closure, where they mentioned that PV is as popular in some house holds as BALH- as if BALH is the yardstick (WT!)...and I know it is true. It is the only show every one keeps talking about, be it my relatives or my SIL's friends or even the industry waalas...
DABH: YES. We agree on so many things! It is one of the shows I like to catch up with, once in a while. I am all for the message they are trying to convey.
I watched Kasam Se for a while ... was never hooked to it, I found Prachi too blank. The story really didn't register, I think I didn't watch regularly enough for that. I watched Saat Phere off and on, don't remember much of the story, but liked the actors and the acting. Not a memorable show for me, I enjoyed it while it was on, have forgotten it now. Like most shows :)))
DeleteThe only shows I remember being hooked to for both story and acting were Astitva and Koshish - Ek Aasha ... coincidentally both had Varun Badola as lead, but I liked them more for the heroines ... Niki Aneja in Astitva and Sandhya Mridul Singh in Koshish ...
I like heroines when they are graceful and dignified, yet can stand up for themselves, and both Niki and Sandhya were that ... as was Neena Gupta in Saans, another favorite. That's why Priya in BALH never appealed to me ... she got very shrieky at the start of the show, and that was it for me ... once I get put off, I don't often come back :)
But yes, a lot of people watch BALH ... most people in my friends' circle who watch TV, watch BALH.
Like I have said before ... I cannot stand DABH ... I gave it a try for a full month when it started, and I gave up. If the lead heroine is not good, I cannot watch. Plus Bhabho is another shrieker ... I cannot stand her. I much prefer BV ... it is a little preachy, but it is far more watchable ... not regularly, but often enough to follow what's happening.
Dia,
DeleteI was going to make the same comment about DABH in comparison with BV. I can seldom sit and watch a full episode of DABH- with BV it is quite an easy task.
Prachi: I agree. She is not a great actress. What attracted me was her innocence, and the characterisation made sure she did not over act or under act. It was not the character or the actress- I guess it was simply the whole package- If I remember right, that was also a contract marriage.
Saat phere- Saloni:The concept of a dark skinned girl as a heroine- I liked it.
Took a long break from TV watching (Hindi) after that, until I chanced up on probably what was the first episode of BALH.
Priya: I guess she was shrieky with Ram- all her other roles required her to be patient and understanding. With Ram- she was a different personality altogether. The romance was built up quite nicely...I remember there was a scene where Priya screams at Ram, trying to make him see her from her POV- confessing her feelings before he did- it was all very natural.
All the while I used to catch 5 minutes of a rather 'predictable' couple who seemed to love playing Tom and Jerry games...until the brilliance behind the characterisation and dialogues of Manorama Mami caught me- I think I missed more than a month of IPK that way.
I guess that is why I seldom found IPK disappointing- it was a show I had rejected over and over again, until I realised the beauty of the creative minds behind it...and appreciated the intense portrayal by the actors who did more than justice to the script.
1. Sat down to watch SC, got distracted by BV.
ReplyDeleteSaanchi witnesses Jagiya wiping Ganga’s tears- decides all is not lost- the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach- literally said it(LOL- that was so DABHish- spelling it out clearly....) –
Enters kitchen- makes Kheer under Anandi Bhabhi’s guidance- sends a mms to her friend, with her Indian getup- gets distracted by her call(that was so well done, the whole idea of mms and all!)- burns the Kheer.
Anandi gets back- finds the burnt kheer Saanchi has hidden- if this was a 4L show- lot of symbolisms!
2. Coming 2 the 4L show....LOL.
I have seen shows where the man gets drunk and the vamp alleges he did ‘improper’ things with her...LOL...This one is a first. Looks like Asad is drugged and Tanveer...well, I will wait till this one is aired! This is too hilarious!
But the mehendi segment has been cute...only problem is, they intersperse it with the comedy in Raziya’s house...it is difficult to appreciate the romance when you have been rofling...

DeleteAfter this pic, and the mystery behind it...seriously!
I saw the BV episode you're talking about ... I like this Jagya-Ganga-Sanchi track, so I try to catch up at least once a week or so. No need to watch more often, it's so slow!
DeleteSame with Veera these days ... I missed a whole week and really didn't miss anything much.
Dia,
DeleteAgree with you, esp in relation to BV.
I feel it is much better to watch some shows like that. It gets very boring otherwise.
And Yes- this track is the only one I have been watching at least a little regularly...could also be because SC is looking very boring- in spite of some water reflection romance and what not!
Which makes me wonder- Isn't SLB making a big mistake?
There is only one character I enjoy watching on the screen- Kumud. Not because I love the actress or any thing, but I feel for the character. Even Saras looks too wooden at times...and I have not been able to connect with any of the other characters. This is really bad for a serial.
When I watch ANY SHOW, I look forward to almost all the characters coming on- that simply doesn't happen with SC- the moment Kumud is off the scene, I go for the remote. This is in spite of me liking the show in the very first week! And then, I had not even liked Kumud or Jenny much.

ReplyDeleteI love these Forum 32 articles...a glimpse in to the technicalities and practicalities of shooting.
Hi, this is Ananya literally signing in once again to R&R. Its been a long time. I was too preoccupied in Oct & Nov last year with my MIL being hospiatlized for two months for the treatment of CKD...Caught the last few epis in bits and pieces hence could join you all in bidding farewell to IPK.
ReplyDeleteI have been a silent reader of Dia's blog since last few month just trying not to lose connect with you all. No serial triggered me to enough pen down my thoughts here.
But now QH, my favourite serial these days...make me share my thoughts with u all...good that I followed it from day one and was able to hold on. I think I share this mad craze with Su, whose views I can relate to.
When IPK was on air, I used to think what makes me go crazy for it.
Now I feel its Gul's concepts and the chemistry between the stars that creates magic for me. I like Sanaya and eagerly waited for Chanchan to happen but the serial could not hold my interest for more than one episode. Maybe, I was so used to her pairing with BS that FK was a misfit. So the chemistry could not lit spark. I tried reading Dia's updates on CC but no vain...
I like Veera...Timings are odd for me so cannot watch it in continuity but the pace of the story compensates for any missing episode.
MB is on and off for me...not a regular. Many times I feel that the scenes there are too cliche hence predictable for me.
BV- again I am not a regular but with its slow pace can follow the story. infact I lost the connect when new Anandi was introduced.
I watched Jodha Akbar's first two episode. The serial looks promising...especially since it comes from the makers of "Jhansi ki rani" which was another of my favourite and kept me engrossed.
Now coming to Qubool Hai...I wish Dia was following it so that I could relive the moments. Any romantic serial is incomplete without Dia's take on that. QH is at a loss here. :(
What I love about QH...right from the set up, the lead actors, the vamp, the character actors, the getups, the scenes between Asya...in fact everything.
The chemistry between the lead actors is superb although it took time to develop. Initially, I too kept on comparing Surabhi with Sanaya...but Gul knows her characters well and casts accordingly...so I have no complaints. I love Zoya, and her vivaciousness, her looks, her casual dressing style. Initially her hairstyle was not proper which highlighted her broad forehead. But now the side flicks suit her. (Agreed, Su, her bridal makeup was horrible!!)
Infact, its not just the leads, the villainous character also, is doing a good job (I do not include Razia here as she makes me bored). As IPK had Abhaas, QH has Amrapali. She is a very good actress with a range of expressions. She makes us hate her as she keeps scheming against Zoya to get Asad. I cannot forget the scene where she pulled Zoya against the wall and threatened to pierce a pencil in her eyes.
...and yesterday the ending left me dumb and numb!!! What next??
*HUGS* Ananya!
DeleteDumb and numb still...just recovering...
I don't know what to call that scene yesterday...it shocked me, rather..shook me to the core.... God! I kept wondering whether the whole scenario had to be so explicit...felt like shaking Gul for upsetting me so much with a scene...
Woke up in the morning and realised...this is the very brilliance I keep talking about...there was nothing much there- just an unconscious Asad- Tanveer opening the buttons of his sherwani...and kissing him...aaarghhhh.....I wonder who directed the scene- Gul or Arshad? Must have been Arshad- I suspect the hut scene in IPK was also his handiwork...
It was the best seduction scene I have scene till date...I have sincere doubts if Television should air such scenes...but then the sensuality that oozes out in our dance reality shows prove that this is not alien to us any more...and I applaud it for the powerful portrayal- all the while I felt like crying- for Asad , for Zoya... for any woman caught in a situation like that.
Asad's greatest fear was that he would betray his love the way his father had.
And Zoya's biggest fear was that her love would abandon her the way her mother had been.
Yesterday their worst fears came true...
Now what?
All the spoilers suggest the nikah will get cancelled- that is what I want too.. How long will it take for Zoya to accept Asad with this dishonour he has brought up on their relationship?
Will Asad ever be able to forgive himself?
I guess Zoya has to find a way to heal both their wounds- only she knows how to.
The precap: This is simply heart breaking!
Dia,
Seriously! Just watch it... You are missing out on something.
J,
Have you recovered?
New promo.
Deleteis ladki ke aasun dekh rhe ho? aise hi aasun tumhari ammi ko mile the 17 saal pahle ...chahe kitni bhi achchi parwarish de do khoon ka rang nhi bdlta ...Bewafai tumhe virasat pe mili hai...
Now I hope this is not a dream or a nightmare... :D
I want THIS!
Hey Ananya, welcome back!!! :))) Hope your MIL is doing better now.
DeleteI've been following QH mostly through Su's updates ... she hasn't managed to get me hooked ... I think my chief problem is that I haven't been able to connect to Zoya at all, neither the character nor the actress. And if I can't connect to the actress, I can't watch, or I remain a detached observer. Because of Zoya, I haven't connected to the love story either ... though I like most of the actors ... KSG (as an actor), Razia, Tanveer - agree with Su this Tanveer is far better than the earlier one, Dilshad ... the rest are okay, these few are very good.
But I agree, Gul's story telling is very good, and her creative team is excellent, the bg music and DOP get special mention, as I see the major contrast in Chhanchhan these days. And I think in QH, because the romance took time to build and KSG/Surbhi have not become so huge a craze as Arshi were, Gul has been able to tell her story her way this time, unlike IPK. In that sense, QH is probably a better product than IPK.
Su, I did watch yesterday's episode ... finally found an online link that worked ... and Gul's signature of larger than life characters was there ... dumb hero (Su, I remembered you there!), cunning super-smart villains, and fairly smart heroine, as well as the pleasant supporting characters.
Asad was totally dumbed down - the guy is supposed to go for his wedding and he decides to go alone ... same as IPK where Arnav is left to go with Dadi, the only person out to wreck the marriage ... Tanveer falls all over him in the car and he still thinks that's her 'friendship' ... and he goes running after Tanveer to rescue her ... completely forgetting that his bride is waiting for him ... again the parallels with IPK!
The whole rescue and seduction was well done ... I guess I'm very detached, so it didn't shake me :))) It was predictable, as I knew from Su that Tanveer had already dared Zoya that she would seduce Asad before the wedding.
Nikaah will be cancelled of course ... I will probably follow with a little more interest now because this is where Gul lost her IPK story - the Asrhi wedding was not supposed to happen. If it had happened with Khushi, I would have been depressed for days ... with Zoya, I am merely curious how it's going to go from here :)))
So sorry ... no long analyses on QH from me ... Su does a far better job there! :)))
I am actually enjoying Chhanchhan far more these days, ever since that disaster FK was removed and Anuj has come in. The love story there now seems much more believable, and hence the entire premise that CC is willing to marry into that madhouse because she loves Manav so much, is instantly more believable as well. So I get my love story as well as my strong sensible heroine, and my favorite actress :))) I think Sanaya either has a knack of taking up roles that I can relate to, or if I can't, she makes them enjoyable to watch.
J, what happened? Recovered from what?
J- Recovered from HUMBISTAR?
DeleteLOL. (Doesn't look like)
I am pretty sure every QH watcher went in to depression yesterday...and anyone who watched it for the first time got totally hooked on...
Dia,
I have not bothered to update QH because no one is interested here...Plus I am not a writer like you...
I simply gave up because you couldn't connect with Zoya- I know you are like me in that respect- if you don't like the heroine, you cannot get hooked on to a show...
Also I think most of us can all carry only one show in our hearts at a time...
DUMB HERO: LOL...Banta hai, na *wink*- when the whole drama is meant to keep them separated...not justifying Asad- the whole plot was B grade, just that they executed it very well...
Asad trusts and sympathises with Tannu because she has trusted him with her secrets...that too, only after a lot of coercion- she has him convinced that her shauhar took her one eye and burnt her factory and is trying to kill her now..wish he had the sense to make ONE phone call...not disappointed, because I am not expecting it...he he...show me his tears, and I am happy.
Watch it for the next one week- this should be the most intense scenes in QH...
Thanks, Su & Dia!!!
ReplyDeleteI think, C has not taken place between the two otherwise it would let Zoya down. Fans would notaccept that.Asad does not know what happened between the two as he was under the influence of drugs, so Tanveer will pretend abt it. One of the reason for her to get married to Asad is giving father's name to the child she is bearing. So one of her purpose is solved.
Same here. Tannu is pregnant already...and she actually seems to want the child...I think it was all staged ...but that truth...Zoya will know it much much later, if at all...Gul might never tell us too...Geet was pregnant by Maan's bro, na? So, I guess Gul doesn't consider it essential to spell certain things clearly...
DeleteWhat matters is whether she can accept him with it...if she can, she doesn't need to know the truth- certain hard facts Gul seems to swear by!
What I found heart breaking was poor Asad being taken against his will...so sad... and the precap...
I am so glad the child is not his at least...Thank Gul for small mercies...at least we will not fret the way we did with Sheetal!
hello hi everyone, and su, what are you rambling about? what the heck is humbistar? a bedmate? no, i dont care.not upset with that.
Deleteand ananya! that tanu did NOT manage to bed asad should be clear to everyone in the audience.. she just staged it to look compromising enough for zoya to believe it.
for a girl who was jilted by imraan miya (gosh i wish they had not included that particular story loop because that was just plain irreverence) and is now looking for a rich husband to give her power and status, she has no motive to actually have sex with asad.. she only wants to convince the MU to asad and zoya.
i have not had much time this week, only watched cc online. was keeping up with the WUs and it is very difficult to understand the nuances from an amatuer written update. havent really wanted to catch up on watching QH these days, because of the stillness of the scenes.. i get irritated when they still a scene enough to include a song, then i ffwd and miss crucial parts.. its a headache i had no time for, this week.
honestly, both cc and QH are so cliche'd that it makes me cringe at times.. but then, why do i have bigger expectations of a hindi serial i dont know.
also, real life is more time consuming than i expected right now, and i will be MIA far more than i want.. big hugs to all of you here.
J,
DeleteAawww..Miss you...
He he...humbistar- I am learning new words with QH.
Didn't get the still parts you are talking about. I thought the pace has been very good the past two days. Finally! And it should last a week at least.
Updates: Read Morons ki mallika- on IF- that is Victoria Hot's new ID.
*hugs* Have a great time...will miss you.
Since I am in so much awe of this track...

IF has crashed or something? Not able to get through.
I'm not able to get through to IF either.
DeleteWhat is humbistar? Please explaniya to non-QH watchers ;)
Humbistar...LOL..Dia, You don't know it either...?
DeleteThat was a dialogue from Tanveer- hum unke saath humbistar ho jayenge or something...right after Tanveer gave Zoya a lecture on her 'skills'- hunar- as she said- when it comes to enticing men. She was confident that if all else fails, this hunar would still get Jammy to her- a dialogue Zoya found disgustingly cheap (rofl...so did the hard core Tanveer haters...I am just happy for the education I get...*wink*)- and she confirmed that Asad was not going to do any such thing EVER...such was her faith.
And now it lies shattered!
Here goes...Chicksoup's analysis..*wink* That's me.
DeleteStill can't get to IF. So I will post the entire write up.
I have said it before, I will say it again- Tanveer is a blessing in disguise...SHE SIMPLY BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN ASYA!
Asad: His worst fears just came true...He always feared he would hurt the girl he loved- and so he did...That ganda khoon somehow got the better of him, he doesn’t know how....hence, that purely hateful stare at Rashid- aakhit aap hi ka khoon nikla...
Asad runs after Zoya...what does he want of her?
The decision to leave is hers...probably, he will not ask her to marry him. But, she needs to know he did not break her trust- at least not knowingly...because he knows how a part of his soul and his Ammi’s soul died when Rashid betrayed them- he does not want Zoya to go through that- not after what she herself has gone through in her childhood. Therefore he runs to explain...not for himself, but for her sake.
“-Tum bhi wahaan thi”- YOU WERE ALSO THERE- he wants her to know- he did not do anything that did not involve her- it is not his safai...it is his earnestness- YOU ARE THERE WITH ME IN WHATEVER I DO. (And therefore, I cannot have done any wrong?)
I think the best of Asad/ KSG is yet to come- starting with the precap- holding the duppatta.
Zoya: Aapne mere bharosa thoda hai- main kuchh nahi sunnna chaahti- AAP SACH KI BAAT KAR RAHE HAIN?- (A vague reference to the truth she has been trying to show him about Tanveer perhaps? Which he had continued to be blind to..and now..Tanvee has won. She has shown her that Asad could and would break her trust. It does not matter to zoya any more how she did it, or how he ended up there. The fact is it has been done- and Zoya is not going to make any more excuses for him- main kuchh nahi sunna chaahti!
And out tumbles the most beautiful sach of all- HIS TRUTH, HER TRUTH, THEIR TRUTH- “Maine aap jaise insaan se mohabbat...."- there- he gets her confession- so painful that it had to come out this way.
He might have broken her heart, her trust- but nothing can change the great truth- when Dilshad slaps Asad, it is like a slap on her own face- she can feel his pain- not the physical, but the emotional one- she can feel how devastating this must be for him....
LOVE DOES NOT DIE...EVER...
LOL ... the travails of writing Hindi in English!
DeleteI was reading it as Humbi - star ... some type of star. Sounded like Hummer, the vehicle ... I was foxed!
You meant - Hum - bistar, as in sharing the same bistar, or bed. All clear now! :)))
Najma: Somehow, this is the other person I noticed in th eepi. When Zoya comes back with Mr. Khan’s betrayal- the shock of it- it made Najma sit down...very noticeable and very well done! *applause*
DeleteDilshad: She trusted one man in her youth. She never thought he’d leave her- BUT HE DID.
She had a bigger trust in her children. She was dead sure Asad would never let her down, but he did. She was proven WRONG once again...
Ayan: He cannot make head or tail out of what is happening! All he knows is, his bhaijaan is the last person who’d do something like this- would he please deny it all?
Rashid: Shaken to the core! He knows Asad hates him enough not to repeat his mistake- yet, it seems to have happened- and to a girl like Zoya. His son did to Zoya what he did to Dilshad- and he knows these two women DESERVE THE BEST.
Nikhat, Humeira and Najma: They don’t want to be there when their bhaijaan is being grilled- they leave with the slap. Good for them- they don’t get to hear their father being puit down too, deservedly.
Billo!: Tanveer: Yes. She is our catalyst and polish! She scrubs AsYa clean and makes them shine- her intent is to hurt them..but their love emerges stronger and brighter.
Does any one wonder if the act happened? I don’t- the clue was there in the show itself- Raziya tells Billo that Asad’d believe whatever she TOLD HIM...NOTE- NOT what he himself sees or experiences...BUT WHATEVER SHE TOLD HIM...therefore, it is all based on her talk. Nothing happened.
Billo’s future: I am waiting to see if she uses the pregnancy card as a last attempt to trap Jammy...pretty sure Zoya will either teach her to count or decide to shelter the kitten minus the monstrous mamma...
Or Maybe,
Tanveer will finally get fed up of this couple and start freaking Nikhat out with her stone eye...
OR MORE LIKELY,
She will commit suicide out of depression...anyone would- with no result after such elaborate planning. Billi chullu bhar paani mein doob mar jaayegi!
“Jammy, Woh nahi samjhegi”- For the time being, YES- she will not rationalise. Because the shock has numbed Zoya...all she remembers is Tanveer’s dare- that she was adept at enticing men with her particular ‘Hunar’- a glimpse of which Zoya just witnessed. And it shames her, that Mr. Khan would allow himself to fall prey to such seduction tactics, whatever his MAJBOORI was- ‘main kuchh nahi sunna chaahti hoon.’
But Zoya will listen....if not to the voice of reason, to the silent prayer that pours out of her beloved’s heart...
Also ... KSG is a damn good actor in angsty scenes ... it was one promo of DMG which enticed me into watching the show. So I won't be surprised if he aces the coming scenes. Will try to catch it once in a while, now that the story has caught up with where IPK ended ... my main interest is to see how IPK was supposed to go after this :)))
DeletePS - I still can't like Zoya - after Sanaya's delicate beauty, Surbhi is too horse-faced, and her bridal make up made her look ugly! Don't mean to be nasty - horse is not quite right a description - more like colt - awkward, ungraceful, big-boned ... yet there is something appealing in that lack of grace. Like an adolescent who has not reached her full potential yet. Khushi was similar, the same awkward, ungainly gestures, they fitted Khushi because she was supposed to be younger (till Gul lost track of her age!) ... what age is Zoya supposed to be? Also 18? She looks much older, maybe that's another problem.
Beautiful update, Su! Please keep on writing more. Nice updates are like delicious desserts to end the meals. They give you a fuller feeling :)
DeleteI completely agree with you regarding KSG, Dia. He is a damned good actor. His eyes really speak and when the eyes do the speaking then it means that the actor has reached the next level. Same case was with BS and SI.
During the whole episode he had just one dialogue but he completely portrayed the emotions...from surprise to bewilderment to shock to helplessness, guilt. I felt so sorry for him. Good that Surbhi has him for company, she will also grow up as an actor just like BS did in company of SI. Still Surbhi is doing a wonderful job as a newcomer. She has to work more in the emotional scenes. She has beautiful eyes. She should make more use of them.
True, Dia! Even I did not like Surabhi initially as I compared her to Sanaya's beauty...but gradually I started liking her...and I repeat, Gul knows her characters very well and casts accordingly. Just as SJ cannot fit in Khushi's role, probably SI could not fit Zoya's role. Regarding SJ's looks, the role does not demands a delicate and petite girl. This role demands a boisterous girl, who is very casual about how she looks, dresses up, sits, walks or even eats pizzas. She believes she can do anything and is even willing to take risks to make a person happy esp Asad and his family. She knows karate and is always ready to try her hands on the goons. Therefore the story demands a girl with a big frame yet a child-like appeal. She has chiselled features especially the eyes. So she fits into the character of a beautiful muslim girl probably with a pathan background. Her punju accent also befits this. Although her tone is a bit shrieky but I like her accent. Recently she has also toned down her voice. Good for her! True, she has a very broad forehead may be that is why she her face may look like a horse. But now with a better hairstyle she has overcome that weakness. I think she is supposed to be around 21-22. A broad frame is a disadvantage when it comes to age. Many of my classmates who were broad-framed always looked couple of years elder to me who has a small-boned structure. She does has an appeal in that lack of grace.
Su, I also want KSG and SI to be paired together in a serial...SHIDDAT! (But that serial should come either on Star Plus or Zee. Maybe, CC would have held my interest if it was on either of the two)
Ananya,
DeleteYou said everything I wanted to say about Surbhi. She took time to grow on me too. Somehow, I never compared her to Sanaya.
She has a long forehead- I think they found the perfect look for her, with her hair covering half of it. I wonder whose idea it was to have her tied back like that- no stylist would dream of doing that on a long forehead.
Acting- She has already come a long way. Emotional scenes- I agree with you. She has to do slightly better there- I wonder if it is because Zoya herself is not an emotional person. Especially, compared to Asad.
I have often thought that this must be the only show where the guy uses more glycerine than the girl. :D
Boisterous Zoya: LOL. Mr. Khan, main kitni smart hoon na?
I rewatched the fight scene at the Rly Stn. The tale she weaves when she describes the incident with her as the action heroine..and Asad hearing the whole thing in the bg with that look of disbelief...LOL
Colt- faced! ...LOL...YOu cracked me up...
ReplyDeleteYou are right- Zoya is supposed to be awkward and ungraceful- Surbhi is just the perfect choice- even her gait is so teenager-ish...I don't know if it is a part of her acting. She is supposed to be very bubbly and Zoya- ish in real life. Both of them are getting a lot of offers...so is Vikrant...but they all sound grounded.
Zoya's age: Not too sure, since I don't think Gul ever says it clearly. But she has called Asad an old man once- he must be 30 plus. and she will be around 22- ..23 is Surbhi's real age.
And it looks like that. He looks and acts old and mature- she behaves like a total baby. Did you catch the hand holding sequence after the Mehendi...he calls her ziddi, bholi and masoom.
ASR and Khushi were nearer to age.
Asad does not let go of any opportunity to say 'so childish'- in a husky voice (LOL)- when it comes to Ms. Farroqui's antics...
Her aapi confirms it too- when she sends her off for a dinner with Asad- "Zoya, munh mein khaana rakh ke baat karne ki zaroorat nahi- bahut unromantic hai yaar..."
Dia,
Once QH is over, I want to see KSG and Sanaya together....in a mature love story.
For now, I am happy with KaBhi. Surbhi is a wonderful actress too- she is more naive and crude compared to Sanaya.
I must say, I am stumped how 4L manages to get the perfect couple...always.
DeleteThe very same people who rejected Surbhi are singing her praises now..she was a new face- it took time to get the audience to accept her...but it has worked.

ReplyDeleteNot much of AsYa today- a good move. Too much of melodrama too soon could have ruined the tempo...nevertheless A HUGE LEAP IN THE STORY!
AYRA BREAKS!- something I have been looking forward to, for one reason- HUMEIRA SIMPLY DESERVES BETTER- a better Ayan. He needs to get moulded a bit, to be fit enough for her.
Two people connect the dots- one right, and the other wrong.
Point noted, Gul- THE MAN IS ALWAYS WRONG!- ALWAYS!
Ayan Miyan- rather, writer miyan- kya funda brains hai aapke!- kaise ek teer se do nishaan mile aapko?-
Ayan connects the dots- Bhaijan was never too fond of Zoya- he did mention he loved someone- never answered correctly when he asked, 'Are you serious?'- did the very thing or appeared to do the very thing that would go against the essence of the man he is- to save himself from a LOVELESS MARRIAGE! (Seriously, this is what you get when you cross Rashid and Shireen!)Ha ha ha! Aap ka kuchh nahi ho sakta- YOU ARE IN FOR THE GREATEST LESSON OF YOUR LIFE- the one you have been teaching Humeira – that of UNREQUITED LOVE- wait n', watch!
Humeira- connects the dots rightly- proves she is Zoya's gene pool- kya aap mujhse mohabbat karte hai- NAHI! Loved the way she approached Ayan and got it out of him- good thing this guy is not emotionally challenged and can express his pleasure and displeasure equally well, unlike his genetic other half!
AND THUS, AYRA BREAKS!!!!!!
I hope Humeira remains indecisive until the day of the nikah and says – qubool nahi hai- kya zor ka jhatka lagega!- SABKO! Ayan will regret that day, sooner or later.
AsYa: Very less today- especially of Zoya- she remains hidden from us- she is shattered- she wants to be left alone – so we leave her alone.
Asad: He will not let things rest- he has done wrong- he BEGS FOR FORGIVENESS- until he settles that part, he is not even going to think about how what happened had happened...waise bhi, he is not a Question asker, generally...
The precap: Asad wants to see Zoya- even if Dilshad wants him to leave her alone (that was pretty awesome lioness behaviour- defending her cub, in this case-Zoya, from her own son.)
Asad has only one mission: Let me talk to Zoya- for her peace of mind- so that she does not keep asking the Q his ammi asks till date- 'WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?'
He wants her to go with the peace of mind that he had not betrayed her love, her trust- so that she does not lose her belief in love itself...Without that belief, he knows Zoya cannot mend herself, ever.
Dilshad - Tanveer- The cat meows Khaala- and Dilshad gives her a look of contempt- covers th etehzeeb and Tameez ki dukaan with her duppatta- an action that spoke louder than words.
Rashid- Shireen:
Shireen is shocked that her bad dua did indeed come true- feels terible.

ReplyDeleteFinally!
Thanks for the clarification, CVs.
Asad finds himself guilty and UNWORTHY OF ZOYA.
And Tannu clarifies that nothing happened- seriously, the ruckus she created!
We get to see a glimpse of Zoya, so does Asad- her pain is indescribable...tearful reminders of the good times- all she can do is jerk herself out of these moments..there is no point reminiscing about what is not to be...
Asad is drawn more and more into Tanveer's trap- he believes her word by word..why not? She hides it under honeyed words- offering herself up for HIS happy married life. Asad declines- he is the one who has wronged Zoya- Tanveer is a NONENTITY to Zoya- kindly keep away from her.
And Tanveer hears exactly what she wanted to-' I will tell her not to waste her tears over an unworthy man like me...'
Really Asad Miyan, we have declared you unworthy for quite some time...woh kya hai- we really don't have much choice..we are watching intently to see which is the bigger idiot among the two bros...and since that debate will go on and on...we have decided to settle matters seniority wise...so believe me, YOU GET ZOYA NOT FOR ANYTHING YOU HAVE DONE, BUT PURELY BECAUSE SHE LOVES YOU - yeh ehsaan hai- Zoya ka- Aap par! (Not now...not now..after Ajmer..)
Asad finds the taabiz- his promise to her- a sign of trust and belief- she has abandoned it- she has rejected him...
Aapi talks: Had it been a stranger...no it had to be the one whom she considered HER OWN- who had to break her- take advantage of her bholaapan...Dilshad cannot bear the shame of it, neither can Najma...Billo tries to score again- NOT SO FAST- Asad gives her a look of hatred and revulsion- WHY DID YOU HAVE TO EVEN EXIST?
Dilshad orders Tanver out of her house in the nicest and neatest way possible- happy she didn't dirty her hands on the rabid cat's face.
Last scene was the camera freezing on Tannu's smile...FINALLY!- Jaate waqt billi waada karke gayee..I WILL STAY- That means she will gooo...
Ayan- Humeira:
Aapne mujhe chot pahunchayi hai: Humeira fels bad that Ayan did not even treat her like a good friend, much less a lover...if he had been forced to marry her against his will, he should have gone to her- HIS BEST FRIEND...nothing remains between them now. She laments the dual loss of love and friendship.
Will you take me back?

O free man, free spirit,
you're a storm of wind..
then why have you ended
within yourself only..
The selfishness of a man who forgot his love in the face of his passion- the weakness of a love that could not survive the power of seduction...how will Zoya ever forgive that man? She sets out on a journey- she needs some time alone..to recuperate...to discover herself...to know the meaning of her existence. Zoya leaves, informing her aapi, leaving behind all her connections to her past...
Asad: He can only dream, that things will be back to normal...that somehow Zoya will find it in her heart to forgive him, after much reluctance. He does not wish away her anger- he knows it is deserved- he only prays for forgiveness.
This is not the first time Asad has dreamed of Zoya- his suppressed emotions always take the wings of flight. He did not want love to complicate his relationship with Zoya- so those feelings came to him as fantasies...that he could not brush away.
Now he feels he does not deserve her..yet his heart longs for forgiveness...and reconciliation. He pines for that one touch of reassurance from her- I am here for you- through all your ups and downs...through all your worst nightmares...
Not long before fate sends him on another distress run....has she been snatched away from him?....No...She is safe...somewhere away from his sight. But she is safe.
Ammi kehti hai Allah apne bando ka imtehaan leta, mujhe kabhi pata nahi tha ki itna mushkil hota hai!
And it has just started. He is discovering the girl who loved him, in spite of the many insults he hurled her way- the girl who trusted him with her life and heart...the girl whose world revolved around him...For once, it is not about HIS fears, HIS beliefs, HIS shortcomings...it is about HER virtues, HER beautiful mind, HER trust that HE broke...and the emptiness in HIS life without HER.
http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3642922
DeleteRead this, if Asad stopped making sense to you somewhere down the line.
Beautiful, Su!!!!
DeleteLike I said, for me this is the journey of what was planned for Arshi after the re-marriage did NOT happen ... ahhh, what a beautiful track it would have been! The regret and redemption track for Arnav that we all wanted so badly ...
And KSG is doing it so well ... have seen some of the SBS segments on the shooting in the desert, and they are BEAUTIFUL ... hats off to the DOP!
Though really, Gul needs her head examined ... shooting in the deserts of Rajasthan in June?! All the cast and crew will get heatstroke ... very bad planning!
Thanx, Dia.
DeleteIt is like waiting for the rains..every one is waiting for the Ajmer track, and they are stalling...
Apparently, KSG fell sick and they could not shoot Dargah scenes due to the crowd. The rest of the shooting will be in Mumbai. All the segments I have seen so far look really beautiful. And for once they are promoting their work well- happy with the promos.
Is June the heights of summer or anything in Rajasthan? I think they had rains on the last day- today's SBS- they were interviewing KSG about rains...and it had started raining there in Jaipur.Everyone mentions the heat.
I saw the precap yesterday- had Zoya in a Yateem Khana- serving the orphans- and I really teared up. This is exactly where I thought Khushi'd be, if ASR had left her at the mandap...a track inspired from Jab we met- when Geet goes to the convent after her dreams are shattered.
Even I have to make a special mention of KSG- the man is a phenomenon...he is literally the King of Expressions. I am replaying all his scenes- with Ammi, with Tamatar, with Ayan...the guy is never repetitive...he is simply the best.
Thanks, Su For the updates! :)
DeleteI also feel that that it is a good move to stall the much awaited sequence. It leaves you craving for more Asya scenes...It is like a gap between the premonsoon showers and the actual monsoon. I think that 'tadap tadap ke' sequence would come tomorrow and would further tadpao us during the weekend waiting for the monday episode.
Ayra break up would bring a different dimension to their relationship. What I guess is that Humeira would come back and show indifference towards Ayaan and this would agitate him. Humeira whose world used to revolve around Ayaan now not giving any attention to him. I seriously want a 'far-off cousin' dropping in for a few days and going lattoo over Humeira and Humeira also enjoying his company. This should make Ayaan feel J and possessive towards her. I seriously want him to woo her back. They make a cute couple. Vikram has all the potential to come up as a lead actor and would do well in romantic scenes also.
True, Asad emotes so well that your heart cries along with him...the tabeez scene where he silently with tears, accepts the hard fact that Zoya has broken all ties with him...I especially liked the siblings scene where Najma brings the laptop to Asad to crack the password and Asad breaks down to see that the password is the nickname that zoya calls him...even the desktop background has their photograph as a couple...Zoya's world revolved around him and what did he give her...pain...infidelity..hurt...shattered all her dreams.
I am really looking forward to the next episode...without Zoya and Asad in one frame, the episode looks incomplete.
(Just a small mercy requested from the CVs...Please donot give such long scenes to Razia..kam se hi kaam chala liya karo na!)
