17/6 - Epi 49 ... Umaben Proposes, Kaumudi Disposes

17th June, Monday

Umaben is making all the plans possible to keep Manav and Chhanchhan separate ... wonder how long she can keep them apart without someone getting suspicious of her motives?
Kaumudi disposes ... so Chhanchhan and Manav get a few moments of romance on their wedding night after all ...
Love the song ... loved the picturization ... beautiful gazebo setting and two very good looking people in love, rain in the background, and a loving bridegroom in full romantic mood, wooing his beautiful new bride with not-so-casual intimate touches ...
I again noticed that the cv's pay attention to the lyrics and picturise accordingly ... it makes the song flow so much better. And Ranjana seems to be designated Kabab Mein Haddi in chief

Umaben not very happy with the flop of the first step ... so the next ... Chhanchhan will distribute prasad and Manav will do something else ...
Kind-hearted Kaumudi disposes again ... she sees how tired Chhanchhan is and sends her off to rest. Notwithstanding Ranjana's attempts again to stall ...
Manav follows his wife promptly ... quick on the uptake, this fellow is! I likes!!!

Umaben's next plan into action ... Manav has to leave early next morning for the village to do more reeti-rivaaz ... Chhanchhan can't go because she's too tired, so Mukut and Kaumudi will go instead.
Thereby ridding Chhanchhan of her only support in the house ... both her husband and her only supportive bhabhi. Neatly done, Umaben.

Unfortunately Kaumudi can't dispose of this one ... so Manav has no choice but to agree.

And by the time he gets to his room finally ... still in a rush   Chhanchhan is fast asleep!

Chhanchhan looks like a little girl when sleeping ... no wonder Manav didn't have the heart to wake her up. Not that he could have, I think ... she was sound asleep! Sanaya looked about fifteen years old ... too adorable!!!

And next morning, Ranjana Sanjana are getting breakfast ready ... read, Sanjana gets breakfast ready, Ranjana snoozes Umaben cracks the whip ... why isn't Chhanchhan downstairs yet?
Woman, for a person who loves tradition, you're a bit off ... I thought a bahu doesn't enter the kitchen till she's done rasoi poojan. Tradition comes second to convenience ... Umaben's convenience, that is. And this is Chhanchhan's first day in the house ... give her a break, for God's sake!!!

  2. Really enjoyed the episode today, from cringeworthy ChanMan, they are fast moving to becoming a hot jodi. The entire romance sequence was done well.

Today another revelation, Kaumudi is genuinely a nice person and does not necessarily follow all of UB's instructions. She can think for herself.

Good to see a couple so much in love and not shy to express. Dia, I was wondering if we had Anuj from the start, the whole ChanMan romance would not have seemed so difficult to believe. Whirlwind, yes, but not so unconvincing. I know a couple which met, fell in love and married all in a month, so that happens.

Uma Ben has started her games, will have to see if fate or Chhanchhan's intellect will thwart her plans. Initially, it should be fate, to make UB more desperate. CC will know about the schemes much later.

In your last post you raised good points about Thakkar, CVs need to fill these gaps to make the story more believable.

No complains about today, hope they keep giving these balanced episodes. Tomorrow Chhanchhan's first day at Borisagar's...should be interesting.

    1. Uma, so true, now that the male lead is sorted out, the writers have changed, the main story is starting ... everything does seem to be falling into place. Just shows how much of a disaster fk was ... he was actually pretty much a central character, like Khushi was in IPK - he had scenes with every single cast member - his own family, CC's family, his friend, her friends ... it was vital he be a good actor, and he was worse than the pits. Khushi was similar - she was the central character in IPK - she had individual relationships with every member of both families ... and how well it worked, because Sanaya was such a good actress, she could define those individual different bonds clearly.

If Anuj had been Manav from the start, I now feel the show was have been much smoother ... the love story was the main theme for the last two months, because it had to be built up to make the marriage happen ... fk's bad acting distracted from everything else. Thank god Mr Ego has been axed! Now the cv's can take the time to show that Manav and CC do love each other to distraction, so can put up with Umaben's scheming ways. And it's good to see a young couple in love and not shy about showing it ... if this is Sony's input, then I'm all for it!!!

Also agree about the other characters unfolding slowly ... I thought Kaumudi was just a blind UB follower, but it seems she is not ... she can think for herself, she does understand UB's ways to some extent, and is ready to help the other bahus when they need it. She doesn't realise the full extent of UB's scheming yet, of course ... but she feels bad for CC-M and is not above telling some white lies to UB to help them out.
So UB gets rid of her ... of course !

I'm also now looking forward to seeing how CC thwarts UB's plans ... at first unknowingly ... and later, which will be even more interesting, when CC does it knowingly and carefully.

Am also wondering about Sanjana ... is she just slow on the uptake or slower than that? Would explain Manthan's dissatisfaction with his marriage and his envy of Manav.

So lots to unfold ... it's looking interesting :)))

    1. No, Su, she was passing snide remarks to her hubby that CC does not realise that bahus have to be awake before the rest of the family, to get the breakfast ready and do all the work. In other words, get to work, CC ... being a Borisagara bahu is not your cup of tea.
Now that Manav is not there to protect his wife, CC's trial by fire starts ... the velvet gloves are off ... well, halfway off :)

    2. I didn't watch the full epi, thanks.

This woman is too smart- she has diff ways of tackling diff people...she knows how to push each one's buttons...

With the bahus- CC beta is my fav bahu.
With the hubby-0 it is our imperfect bahu, with whom I will put up...

      Waiting....
