(Wish they had got in the new Manav in time for the dream sequence though ...
The whole fake photographs and accusations about gold digging girl thrown at Chhanchhan seemed like out of a BW movie of the 60's ... considering they were planned by Umaben, who belongs to that generation, it seemed quite fitting. Not to mention, most unconvincing.
Was it my imagination ... or my relief at knowing that FK is finally going ... but he actually did a decent job today ... that is, if things are the way I think they are and this is a plan by Manav and Chhanchhan ... that did seem the way he looked, and by the looks he threw his mom.
All the planning we wanted Arnav Khushi to do, they never did ... now Chhanchhan Manav might be doing it ...
Of course, if it turns out that Manav actually meant what he said, I will take back my words ... but I doubt it. A girl like Chhanchhan would not turn around and change her mind about marrying Manav if he had in fact believed Nameless MIB. So I would bet that they both had realised this was all an act, and were determined to get to the bottom of it. I will call off the ChhanMan wedding myself if that is not the case
So Umaben thinks her plan has succeeded ... the only thing left to do is to find another girl for Manav pronto and end the CC chapter. End of Act I.
Little does she know.

I like today's episode. Sanaya dancing always leaves me with a smile. The kiss scene was so subtle that it did not bother me and the dream sequence was not bad.
ReplyDeleteOf course Uma Ben will get away with this shenanigan, otherwise show cannot go on. For her to maintain the iron grip over her family, the charade has to go on.
Manav and CC are in this together, especially the look they exchanged in the end Indicated that to me. Have to see how far they will be able to dig.
Did you see Ranjana checking het wedding ring in disappointment when ChanMan were exchanging rings? Like it when this kind of detail is shown. Really want creatives to pay more attention to screenplay as they have good actors.
Hope this show finds it's own viewers, was a bit surprised by number of posts posts in IF saying that new ML is of no use, when till yesterday that was the biggest demand.
Checked some videos of Anuj, he is a good lookin chap and should make an attractive Jodi with Sanaya. He is also not camera shy, the little I saw of his acting, he was fine. Hope he improves in the company of Supriya P and Sanaya.
I really hope the news is confirmed and the story can move forward. Hope they do new photoshoots and promos and promote the new Jodi and saas-bahu team.

Uma, I think the posts criticising Anuj are few and far between ... most of the posts are looking forward to his entry. I noticed that even some members who were supporting him, turned around the last couple of weeks ... which was when his acting went down the tubes, as though he had actually lost interest.
DeleteBut I do agree that apart from the male lead, other problems also need to be sorted out. I'm just hoping that with this major one out of the way, the rest will be addressed also.
It was not just FK's bad acting ... the PH is experienced and would have persisted if they felt he had potential ... but he really seemed to have an attitude problem with the cast. I have never seen Sanaya avoid interviews with her costars, even in MJHT, she had segments with Rati and she was fine. I noticed particularly in the cafe scene with Purvi Hitesh ... she gave a byte with Purvi, and FK gave one alone. And the way Srman used to take the mickey out of him for his acting ... no actors do that usually, they understand the problems of erratic jobs in the industry, and will not take down another actor purposely.
So if there was tension on the sets because of him for some reason, that might be a bigger reason for relieving him. There was already talk of his holding up shoot schedules with his million re-takes ... if along with that, there was attitude problem and issues with the other actors and PH, that might have tipped the scale. And of course the fact that he was such a poor actor helped ... they know there will not be many calls for his return, as long as the new man can deliver.
Just for comparison ... when BS was signed for IPK, he was unknown. I watched one clip from BHPH, was unimpressed. Watched one Ford ad, and he was really good, his expressions were spot on in a 30 sec ad. So I felt he would do okay. He did more than okay :)
I watched a clip of Anuj and one ad ... I liked him in both. The clip from Bebo was really good ... he played a fun-loving guy, and his expressions and dialogue delivery was good. And I do remember him from Phir Subah Hogi - watched that off and on for Varun Badola, and while I never noticed him much, I never had the feeling - oh, he's awful. He held his own with VB, which is a big thing.
Now all I want is a new promo with Anuj.
Regarding the episode, I liked it ... except for the showdown with the fake pictures ... it was so phony! Well, it was meant to be ... so okay :)

Loved Sanaya's dance, thank god in the romantic part, they kept FK's face mostly in the shadow :)))
The kiss was very well done ... CC in love, losing herself momentarily, and then realising what she did, and stepping back shyly ... she's not a gaon ki chori, she's a modern young girl, but still rooted in her culture, so while not shy about the kiss per se, she is shy about PDA, especially in front of parents and in-laws ... nicely done!
FK's expressions kind of killed it, so I hope that they show a scene with the new Manav teasing her about it later.
The little attention to detail is showing up now ... Ranajan examining her own ring, her happiness when CC says she danced the best ... so CC noticed Ranjana's weakness and addressed it immediately, that's how she will win hearts :)))
And of course it had to be simple Sanjana pointing out the pictures ...

I finally saw Sanaya's performance in JDJ online. It was rather short, but she was looking beautiful. I think it was a goodwill gesture from Sanaya's side towards the channel and production house. It always good have cordial relations in the industry you work.
ReplyDeleteColors also used the short bit in promos quite well. I am pretty confident they will call her again next year to compete.

Yep, goodwill gesture from Sanaya ... and the PH and channel wanted her badly enough. She was the only TV celebrity in the opening act :)))
