Marriage is on again ... and already, so are plans to break it.
As expected, Umaben wriggles out of sticky situation ... with a little bit of trouble and some last minute maneuvering ... as expected, she makes prospective not-to-be sasur of Manav, the scapegoat ... as expected, the man keeps his mouth shut because Umaben is vindictive enough to ruin his daughter's life if he doesn't.
And one wish of mine came true ... Umaben had to eat crow and beg CC with folded hands to come back into the engagement fold ...
Apparently Babuji was not very convinced about the fake photographs either ... but had been steamrolled ... now he was happy to re-engage ChanMan and also happy to go to the Sarabhais' house to re-fix the rishta and get the marriage back on track.
Nice scene at the Sarabhais' home as usual ... so Babuji is already coming over on Chhanchhan's side slowly ... loved the 'yippee' as soon as the father-son duo left, and the family was alone to celebrate ...
All the recycling/ environment talk was nice, but a bit overdone ... although I really liked the touch of getting cards made by handicapped kids ... Daadi as usual the pragmatic one ... idealism is all right in its place, but you do need to be worldly-wise as well ... check with the in-laws if they're okay with all this.
Umaben is furious at the upsetting of her plans ... and already getting ready with the next one. She can't forestall the wedding, it will happen now ... but who said weddings can't break? 30 days ... Chhanchhan out.
This was the blurb at the start of the show ... so they have finally reached that point in the story ...
And it's haldi time already?! So when are we getting the new Manav? Am getting a teensy bit worried now ... will the new Manav emerge only from behind the sehra?

DeleteDitto to your post...I liked the ideas they are trying to bring, environment, no wastage etc. but they just need to be more subtle.
Waiting the for the real games to begin, Uma Ben and CC in the center, Manav pulled in both directions and as of now Manthan and Ranjana adding to the fuel, they could add more characters later.
Dia, did you notice the look Manav gave to his mother when he said that she always looked out for Chhanchhan and him? FK's facial expressions confuse me...but I thought he was meant to look unconvinced about his mother's innocence.
As Dadi says "shubh shubh soch aur shubh shubh bole"...need some confirmation about change,if Anuj has started shooting.

Okay, yesterday was World Environment Day ... so the message about recycling was very much in place ... I stand corrected.
DeleteAfter two days of halfway decent acting by Farhan, he was back to being quite bad yesterday ... I noticed that look too, but then he didn't hold it and he was expressionless after that. As for the haldi scene, I was cringing at his expressions and dialogue delivery both!
Ranjana's unconcealed envy about Chhanchhan's looks vs her own was very amusing ... so apart from Manthan, we have another troublemaker in the family. Good thing too ... too much sweetness would be too bland.
I don't know if you noticed one thing ... Sanjana remarked that Manek, Ranjana's husband was sick during his wedding. And there was a scene when UB did her first drama, when Manek was coughing and R was very concerned. So he seems to be a sickly guy. No particular connection with anything, just one more layer added to one more character.
Hope today is FK's last day on screen ... I want a new promo NOW!!! After the episode will do ... they won't air a new promo with a new face while the old one is still there ... I guess!!! But I want the confirmation now!

ReplyDeleteKeeping up with your posts. If a new ML is coming I might try and start watching as FK really puts me off. Still wished that Sanaya had been offered a good role with SP.
You asked previously about my new grandson. Jack has been very ill. Spent 3 weeks in hospital as he has a severe allergy to milk and he lost a lot of weight. We where very concerned but he is now thriving and is a very happy cute little boy. There are still some concerns but hopefully as he gets older these will be cleared up.
Hope all is well with you. Will pop in again soon.

Lin, good to see you back ... you must have had a traumatic three weeks! Relieved to hear he is better ... poor little fellow! Hope he recovers completely soon, he will be fine once the allergens are identified and they can be avoided ... babies are very resilient, I'm sure he will bounce back!

Just watching the episode again ... why do I get the feeling that the MIB gave ChanMan both UB's and Thakkarbhai's names, and they asked him not to reveal UB's name in front of the family. They both seemed to be shocked when she was telling her lies to the family.

Have I mentioned I love CC's mom's sarees?
Loved that little look between CC's parents when the younger ones started celebrating that the wedding was on again ... a mixture of happiness and sadness that their baby girl was finally going away ... very beautiful look, loved the expressions on both their faces.
Also, it was good to see one of the dogs again ... even briefly! I hope they will have some scenes during the wedding. LOL, can't believe I'm asking for screen space for dogs!
