Sanaya's trip to LA

Making this a separate post just to add links of various pictures and interviews on the closure of IPKKND, one post is the report on the Chicago Forum, and the next two are the meeting Prabba, an IF member, had with Sanaya and Rajan.

Saw the IPKKND forum has been archived ... feeling sad. The end of a journey.

The only good thing - appears that Sanaya is already in talks for her next show. Fingers crossed.

  1. Thanks a lot, Dia.

Am I the only one who gets these monday morning blues about IPK?

I always thought I'd miss Arhi as a couple, but sometimes I miss Khushi as a person.
Like today, I missed Khushi and I come here and see San ...
    Sigh...

  2. Su,
I did this the last time San's show wound up as well ... When MJHT ended, I kept adding all the articles and pics she came in, or most of them. You can find them in the archives if you go into the months Jan 2011-May 2011. That's how I knew the first article of her comeback came in March 2011. All the introductory articles of IPK are there as well.

There are quite a few posts on IF on Sanaya's LA visit, will keep adding the links as I get them. Someone said there is one new pic of Barun also, but I haven't found it.

I'm missing Khushi and Sanaya both :( Somehow not missing Arnav so much, because Barun seems to have moved on so comprehensively and without any regrets whatsoever ... but am re-watching some of the early Arhi scenes, and enjoying them. After San's interview with Rajan, I am now waiting for news of her new show.

  3. Dia....I noticed that you said IPK has been archived on IF...how can I go back and search if I want to see some old posts or read some of the FF?
I come here every day to check to see if there is any news. Am missing IPK and miss seeing everyone...not just ARHI, but also Mami and Nani.

    1. Harini, I have bookmarked the IPKKND forum, it's still active and accessible. Just click on the link. Here it is in case you want it.

      http://www.india-forums.com/forum_topics.asp?FID=637

I will keep adding all the news I can find - I go on to the forum every day to check. Have been concentrating on Sanaya, but I will add the other cast members' news if people are interested too.

Abhaas Mehta has bagged a role in Ravi Ojha's next show on Zee. Ravi Ojha is the SGP production house, so the show should be decent. Will try to find the article and add it here.

    1. That does it ... there are fans who are as crazy about Sanaya as about Barun! Or equally crazy anyway!

  5. Thanks for the links dia!
Excited for sanaya's new project, i wonder what type of role she will play since she has proven that she is capable of doing everything! She will be the lead right?!
Miss barun too but not as much, will he be coming back to tv?

    1. You're most welcome!

Yes, I guess Sanaya will definitely be the lead, and that the show will be on SP, as SP is still flying her all over the place. This LA trip might have been for SP to gauge Sanaya's popularity separate from Barun as well ... if the response has been good, I would think SP will bring her back pretty soon as well. She is their ticket to the international audience - well, she and Barun were, but since Barun is not available, Sanaya will do the job of retaining the international audience SP has now captured.

Barun should really appoint Sanaya his PR. I understood his POV much more clearly from Sanaya's words than from his vague "I want a break, the hours are long, shows should have seasons" etc etc ...

Watch the video links in the post Sanaya's trip to LA - she describes the life of an actor on TV, and says that Barun left because this was not the way he wanted to live his life. And THAT made much more sense to me than anything anyone has said before. And why he kept saying break, quit, movies ... blah blah ... he has not made up his mind what he wants to do, being an unknown TV actor was okay, because he had a life apart from his work. But being a busy one - it's not what he wants from life, because it leaves time for nothing else, and he does want to other things also. So he's taking the time out to think it through, and try other things. Very clear, very lucidly spoken, and shows why no one in the unit feels the least bad about Barun's decision and choice.
He may come back, he may not. If he does, he will get roles, because he has proved his talent. But he hasn't proved his commitment ... because he's not sure about it himself.

    2. Dia,
The LA trip, I feel is not to gauge her popularity or anything- Sanaya is someone SP banks on- their angel. She does not have to prove herself to ANYONE any more, thankfully.

The behna people were supposed to attend that, they couldn't get them. In the last minute, only San was free and therefore called. And she obliged as usual.

      Delete
    3. True, Sue ... I guess I was happy as a San fan, that SP is still promoting Sanaya as their ambassador. Yes, she was available, but within two weeks of her last overseas trip, they gave her another one ... plus she's already in talks for her next show. She's proved herself for sure, and is becoming the face of SP overseas. I noticed Rajan let her do the bulk of the talking during the Q&A session ... he's pretty articulate himself, but he let her take over. Well, people are always more interested in the stars than in the boring executives, even though it's the executives that make the decisions :)))

I don't know whether they cancelled Viren Jeevika because they weren't available or because the trip was supposed to be a sweetener for Viren Jeevika because they're getting sidelined in the show, and they decided not to bother, and send San instead, because San was available and would draw more crowds.

This is more for Mads and Aaru, who've followed MJHT with me :) ... reading news about the Behna show where there are apparently huge politics between the two reel brothers, because Karan T feels annoyed that the younger couple are more popular ... reminded me of MJHT - politics were there too, but the two guys, Mohit and Arjun, were best of friends, and Arjun was equally friendly with Sanaya - in fact he knew Sanaya before Mohit did. So there was never any couple rivalry or unpleasantness between the trio, in fact they were thick as thieves ... it was only Rati who created all the problems. What a contrast to Behna!

      Delete
    4. Yes Dia, I too was reading news that Karan T and Kushal hardly speak with each other and both try to upstage one other. In that matter I feel really happy that there were no such ego clashes between Akshay, Karan, Barun and Abhaas. All of them were really close and there off-screen segments were so good full of masti.

Behna is now going into wayward direction and when TRPs come out I won't be surprised if it is kept on watch list. I didn't know Rati had issues with the team in MJHT. I used to follow MJHT off and on but didn't keep track of the cast. But Rati did come across as a person who thought too much of herself.

  6. FOR ALL SANAYA FANS :)))

Watch the links in the post "Sanaya's trip to LA' ... this includes a long Q&A session in LA with Sanaya and Rajan. 7-8 links, but if you're a Sanaya fan, they're a pleasure to watch. Sanaya as articulate and honest as ever ... and as sweet and down to earth.

Good news is that Sanaya is already working on something new. When it will air is the question, so she happily said, please spam SP if you want me back soon :)))

SP flew her to LA ... and Rajan has been shepherding around the whole place like a protective guardian ... for SP, she is obviously hugely important as far as their overseas market is concerned.

Love the way she says, Mohit is her favorite co-star because he's her boyfriend :D ...
ROFL talent, good show, script besides the point!!!
After Mohit, Barun is her favorite costar.
SN - Jaya, I get your point about Barun on the MAMR video. Felt the same, especially after seeing this.

She completely nixed all chances of IPK coming back. Barun does not want to do the show any more.

I agree with some of you here who said Sanaya did not realise how big Arshi had become. She says that whether IPK stayed on or she comes in a new show, she will not be acting with Barun again, and will be romancing a new guy. Obviously she did feel that it was all about Barun leaving, and since it was Barun's decision in the first place, and was not going to change, for her, carrying on with a new romance with the same unit and cast was much easier and more comfortable than starting all over again with a new cast and crew. Hence she would have been far happier to carry on a new romance in IPKKND itself, and was upset it ended.

She genuinely didn't see that it was about Arshi - Arnav-Khushi ... and neither did the channel or PH. Which is why if they had clarified that they were not going to touch the Arshi story, and/or had gone in for a leap, it might not have gotten the fans so riled up.

Asked how she got the show, she blithely says she got lucky! Then explains that no one, neither channel (with a look at Rajan!) not others, wanted her to do Khushi, because they wanted a plain, simple looking girl and felt she looked too glamorous ... now that explains why they kept her in the worst possible clothes all through! Only Gul insisted on Sanaya ... so she got lucky.

Not a word about her own talent, her hard work ... I have yet to find Sanaya say anything good about herself! I was reading some of the first articles on Khushi's new look after Gunjan - her description of herself was "Gaudy Gunjan with pompoms"!

Interesting ... she says she did get film offers during IPKKND, but refused them because she didn't have the time, and didn't want to leave the show for them. I remember one interview during IPK when she did say that BW is interesting because you get to play a variety of characters - that surprised me, because she has been pretty firm for a long time that she doesn't want to do BW. So it's not a complete NO apparently, but since TV is her first choice, BW will happen only if it happens between shows, or if it's a role where she can really show her talent. Not a Fanaa type role.

Am also guessing she might not get too many lead roles in BW because she's a bit old for that, or she might get the standard glamorous heroine with nothing to do BW roles ... for women, TV is better because it's more heroine oriented for the most part. So again TV remains as her first choice. Am happy ... though I would love to see her in a really strong author backed role in films, since I find her better the almost all BW heroines of today ... but good roles for girls are few and far between.

    1. Dia,
I remember San joking in one iv that Karan Johar should cast her and Barun together- she will go when the right opportunity comes at the right time , I feel.

Frankly, she is the only heroine I can see as an all rounder after Kajol. I like Priyanka and Kareena, actually Vidya Balan the most now. I feel Sanaya is as talented as Balan. I reall wish she gets a good offer- the girl deserves it and we deserve it too.

      Delete
    2. There was one interview during MJHT days with her and Mohit too, when they were both joking around, Yash uncle, Karan Johar, please sign us, we're ready and willing :D

She will go only if she gets a solid role ... and I honestly don't know how likely that is. For one, heroines in BW are more arm candy, solid roles are few and far between ... secondly, she is a bit old for the young love stories. I guess once she goes into the mature role stage on telly then she might be more open to doing something in BW, but again, depends on the role and like she said, timing. Till then better to be reigning queen on telly.

I would love to see her in an Astitve-type role ... Nikki Aneja was my favorite telly actress for ages for that role.

I hope Sanaya does get something good in BW at some point though ... she's really much better than most of the BW heroines today. I like Vidya the best of the current lot too, I also like Priyanka.

  7. "Which is why if they had clarified that they were not going to touch the Arshi story, and/or had gone in for a leap, it might not have gotten the fans so riled up"

This is what I have been saying from the beginning Dia. The fans were riled up because ArShi's story was being destroyed. Had the PH and channel given a decent closure for ArShi story and moved on with leap that would not have riled up the fandom. And anyway they had characters like Mami, Anjali and Payal who could have raised the daughter of Arnav-Khushi and the story could have been on air. I am seriously stumped that the channel/PH didn't understand this simple point. Well it is gone and over. So nothing much we can do about it.

Don't kill me Dia but by the looks of Sanaya's talks why do I get the feeling that Sanaya is coming in Saraswati Chandra. Man please pretty please let Sanaya not come in the show. I can't stand the novel or the film now even though it was one of my favorites when growing up. Hey Bhagwan, I found a decent actress to follow after a long time of searching and I desperately want to follow her new serial - just please let it not be something I would dread watching.

why do I get the feeling the name is just a coincidence.
The one you are talking about, is it about three sisters?

I am praying San comes in SLB show actually. If SP dares to offer something like behna (Can't believe her choice was btn Khushi and Jeevika)- they will get it from me.

Sanaya deserves to work with a team like SLB.
Only an acclaimed director can do justice to her talent.

      Hmmm...
Sanaya was silent when the fan asked her about doing comedy, which is what she actually loves.
Yep, psarada. I think your worst fears are coming true.

And looks like I made a mistake, it is not a coincidence?

      http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/sanjay-leela-bhansalis-star-plus-show-based-popular-novel-saraswatichandra

But then, why did the first article say the show got a name? If it wasan adaptation, what was the confusion?

      Delete
    3. Yeah Su, somehow looking at the videos and that Sanaya was saying she is looking at new venture and will okay soon - I am guessing it is Saraswati Chandra only as that is the only serial which is going to come on air pretty soon for SP. The show is an adaptation of the novel of the same name and also the movie. I have no idea how SLB wants to direct this show. But if he stays true to the novel then it is one regressive theme wherein the lead loves one and gets married to another. I can't stand those themes - not my cup of tea. I so wish Sanaya decides well and good before she takes up any offer.

      OMG!
      This was a 'classic'.
Actually, I can see San doing this role beautifully, don't know how the chemistry will be.
And I agree with you, psarada, the story is very regressive...I hope SLB gives a new twist to the story. I can't bear to watch it otherwise.

      Delete
    5. Siddhat to that Su. Hopefully SLB gives new twist to the story. I can't watch it because being a mother of 2 beautiful girls I can't relate to the concept nor the viewpoint of anyone in the novel. This dialogue of Nutan was awesome in the movie

'Chhod de saari duniya kisike liye, yeh munasib nahin aadmi ke liye'

Comes in the end and at that time you are like 'please accept your true love and move on and Nutan utters this dialogue with a voice full of pain and you are gone with sympathy for her'. I can see that Sanaya will ace these scenes but I can't appreciate these themes and Hopefully keeping fingers crossed - SP doesn't allow this regressive theme as they have after all Nayi Soch in their tag line. Given that BV got the ballika vadhu married again for the second time, please SP if you are going to make this serial don't be true to the book and end it that way. I don't know which one should I root for - serial staying true to the novel or serial being changed. That is the reason I say classics ought not to be meddled with.

    6. Su,
Posted above too ... which of the two articles is true? Three sisters or SC?

Chalo, let us wait and see if she will even be doing the show ... we'll probably know by Jan, if she's already talking about it, and so is Rajan.

Any bets how soon we'll know? ;) Give dates, people - let's see who wins! Or comes closest :)

      Delete
    7. Dia,

SC itself is based on Gujarathi family with 3 sisters. The novel initially was written in Gujarathi. I think mostly this show is based on the Gujarathi novel. I am betting Sanaya's new show dates would be out end of January and hoping it is not SC. Somehow why do I feel Sanaya will be on NB at least as a wild card contestant. Anyone has the final list of the participants for NB.

      Delete
    8. Ah ok ... clear now :))) Even if it based on the novel, I guess they would have to tweak it a lot to make it into a long running daily show.
So far, there are other actresses already in the running for the show, from one fo the articles above ... Sanjeeda, Barkha and someone else. Hope one of them gets the role - apparently the show is ready to start shooting, but the actress just walked out. San is still in the US, and hopefully she will take her break with her brother and sister as usual before she returns.

I would guess January too - mid-Jan is my guess :)

Shows likely to end - YRKKH is on my list ... they have just taken a leap, so I guess they would extend by at least 3-6 months and then re-look. But it's already completed 1000 episodes, it would definitely be on the watch list.
Behna has not much story left, 50-50 whether it could wind up in the next six months or so.
Kaali is definitely a stop gap arrangement for 8pm, the SLB show is slated for that slot.

The other prime time shows are DABH, PKDH and Veera. DABH is doing too well (unless the new TRP's show a drastic change), PKDH and Veera are too new and I think both are getting a decent response. At least, I find both watchable. The 11 pm slot is empty still, they might shift Kaali there to free up 8 pm for SLB or San's new show, whichever comes first, and free up one of the other slots for the other. If San is doing a totally new show, it will six months for it to get on air. Enough time to wind up YRK or Behna.

      Delete
    9. My guess is the same Dia. Yeh Rishta got 6 months extension and hopefully it will wind up by this extension. It is already 1000+ serial and frankly there is nothing much in the show left now. Kaali is a stop gap and would be moved to 11PM or 6:30PM when SLB's show airs. Behna would be the next show on target as it has meandered into nothingness and is becoming like IPK with weird tracks being shown. And mostly MB must have overtaken Behna show now with the new TRPs in place so that would be the next thing to go. Same is the case of Saathiya. It is there for the namesake and it should also wind up IMO. I think DABH will also wind up by Aug of next year unless they go extremely slow.

I am guessing Colors would topple Star Plus as No.1 GEC when the new TRPs come in place. They had good shows running and also Big Boss traditionally has been a high TRP generator.

      Delete
    10. If Colors does topple Star Plus, then SP will definitely go for a big re-vamp and re-look at all their shows.
There was a time when six of the top ten shows were on SP, that was when SGP was still on air, it was a very stable show. They haven't got that 7.30 pm slot sorted out yet either - neither did EDS fit the bill, and I am not sure about Khamoshiyan ... I found it too regressive, and lost interest. Now they've lost 8 pm for the next few months till they replace Kaali. Behna will lose out to MB too when the TRP's return. Can't predict Saathiya or DABH - I could never understand why those shows got the TRP's they ever did - I still can't! So SP still has three shows - DABH, PKDH and Veera. YRK still got TRP's till Oct., will see next week.

Colors has BV and MB has picked up. Big Boss - yes, again another show I never could watch! Don't know about the rest.

QH will be the question - has it taken off well or not. Otherwise Zee has only PR and PV, and PR is also on its last legs, if Ankita leaves. Forgot, PSH is also doing okay. And Zee will get the new Ravi Ojha show too.

Sony? BALH is the only good one, right? And KBC of course.

      Delete
    11. Actually I am getting more and more excited if indeed San is bagging SLB's show.
I agree the the ending is too regressive, but I like the story till then. Kind of reminded me of The Guide, which was one of the very first hindi movies that left a deep impression on me. I think I simply loved the baba concept at the end of it, plus the guide was such a realistic characterisation. I have no clue how I ended up liking the movie since I usually keep away from love stories ending in tragedy. But there is a huge diff btn Guide and SC- here(guide) no one is making any sacrifice- it is just a man's journey to discovering the meaning of his existence.

SLB- I liked Khamoshi, hum dil and Black- I cannot force myself to watch Devdas, though I love the songs- I think I was put off by the concept. In addition to that, though Aishwarya looks beautiful, somehow, the only actor that impressed me in the few scenes I watched was Madhuri. Any way, glad to hear review from mnay of you that it was not a great movie- now I know I did not keep myself away from a good movie.

On SC: What was wrong with these writers of those years? Seriously, a woman would go against society in the pursuit of her lover and turn back last moment so that the lover at least can live in peace with the society? SERIOUSLY...a woman would have to be very BRAVE to venture out in the first place in those times... I cannot imagine her ever regressing like this. How on earth can a once progressive woman develop a defeatist attitude like this???

Who are these idiots who treated such novels as classics? I will say, in logon ne characterisation ka satyanaash kar diya. (This is worse than Gul's Geet marrying off her repentant BIL cum ex- hubby to her sis.)
Sigh why can't SLB stop being a sadist and adapt a good story like Parineeta? At least it has a happy ending.
Seriously, hasn't he had his fill with Devdas?

OK, I;ll stop bashing the yester year novelists...aaarghh..

The other side of the coin:
Actually, I was feeling very good about San dong SLB show...regardless of the story, if it comes through, I will feel IPK ending was divine intervention through Barun so that SAn gets a real meaty role and a great chance to work with a good director...4 lions can happen any time, it is not every day you get to work with an acclaimed director...see how everything just fell into place at the right time for her. If things work out well, Barun is an angel in disguise for her.(High time too!)

NOw one final rant: why can't SLB adapt a decent story like Pride and Prejudice? Does not fulfill the required number of pages?

      Delete
    12. Between Colors nad SP, I feel SP still has more to offer right now.
BV and MB(!) are the only watchable shows on Colors, I thought. Ofc, Big Boss too.
SP- DABH is a sure winner- an understanding husband, a wife being allowed to follow her dreams, interfering in-laws- all the right ingredients in the right mix for the trp audience. It will always do well, and it is def better than behna too.Veera, PKD, Khamoshiyaan (why do you all call it regresssive? There are lots of skeletons in Appa Sahib's closet- I believe he staged an attempted murder on Gauri too- to pack her off to US)- all shows with a difference. Looks like SP suddenly did have a nayee soch in launching these serials and winding up the old boring ones.

Zee- I feel QH is doing well. IPK fans will continue to shun it, but the quality as such is good- I don't know how many of the lay audience can identify with it.PV i slooking much better, PSH- not my cup of tea.

Sony- KHTV and Balh were good. Sony,I felt caters to the urban audience more- trp wise, may not come out a winner EVEN IF they come out with good shows.

      Delete
    13. Su,

I don't think SP will be TRP leader. Reason is DABH didn't have awesome tracks and it is going very slow. My bet for shows that will be in Top 10 from SP are DABH, Saathiya, YRK, PADH, Behna and to an extent Veera. Out of this Saathiya, YRK and Behna seem to be on the last leg of their journey. I doubt Kamoshiyaan will make it to Top 10.

For Colors I think you have BV, Sasural Simar ka(no idea why this comes everytime but still), MB, Uttaran and parichay and if they count Big Boss then Big Boss too.

For Sony I am thinking BALH, Parvarish and kya hua(maybe/may not be). rest of Sony serials are just there for the sake of being there.

Then on Life Ok definitely you have Mahadev in Top 10.

On Zee I am thinking Punaar Vivaah and Pavitra Rishta. I don't think any of the other serials will figure in the top 10 may be to an extent Sapne suhane. QH, I don't think will break in Top 10 but have no idea.

on Sab you have Taarak mehta one will which always be there.

SLB is a good director but the gripe I have with him is, he doesn't come up with his own stories. Rather he always tries to adapt a novel and give his "feel" to it. And Devdas was semi-hit due to the costumes and the sets and not necessarily due to his direction. I just wish some one takes real good novels and makes them into serials something that is relevant in today's age. Pride and Prejudice has been remade too many times and frankly after Colin Firth(in English adaptation) and Barun as ASR, I don't think anyone can come close to portraying Darcy on screen. So please pick up good novels something like Almighty, Not a penny less Not a penny more, Day of the Jackal and just give crisp shows.

    14. Su,
I LOVED Guide ... the songs, the story, everything ... although like most movies, the book was much better. Fortunately I read the book after seeing the movie, otherwise I'm sure I would have been very disappointed in the movie.

Ditto to the SLB films ... Khamoshi, HDDCS and Black for me too ... I did NOT like Devdas at all, felt the emotions were plastic and fake and the sets were far too garish. I only liked Madhuri in the movie, I didn't like either SRK or Aishwarya, although Aishwarya looked like a dream ... especially in the Bairi Piya song :)
Saawariya again was too theatrical and unrealistic ... it felt like a stage drama with great sets and music, but you could not relate it to real emotions and feelings. Plus Sonam cannot act - apologies if there are any Sonam fans here :) I didn't much care for Ranbir in Saawariya either - I have liked him MUCH better in his later movies like Wake Up Sid, Barfii, Rajneeti, Rocket Singh ... I just loved Wake Up Sid!

So SLB as a director - 50-50. He concentrated on content and story in Khamoshi, HDDCS and Black and that's where he did great.

Sarada, from your list of books, I remembered Prodigal Daughter - that would be a good one to re-make on TV. If YRF could do Kane and Abel, someone could take this up, it's heroine centric and would be a good story. And it could be adapted to the Indian situation. But all adaptations of books should be time bound, because everyone already knows the story, you can't stretch it too long. Where Kane and Abel - rather, Kismat scored, was exactly there - they did the story and wound it up.

    15. Also agree with Su ... if San gets the SLB show, it's a great chance for her to work with an acclaimed director in an author backed role - SLB does concentrate on his heroines. Plus he's big name in BW, all said and done, so it could be her gateway to bigger things. Especially since other BW directors and actors are also looking at TV differently.

So San working on the SLB show - 50-50 for me as well. Besides, the story would have to be tweaked, unless SLB also comes in with a time bound script and a fixed number of episodes ... in which case again, story be damned, San gets great exposure and a great name added onto her CV.

Bottom line ... jahan aaye, jis show mein aaye ... bas, jaldi aaye! Will watch the show for her anyway! :)))

    16. Ah, Dia!
Guide has a very special place in my heart.
I watched it in DD when I was in my 8th or 9th std.
It was the first movie in any language that transcended me to a different world...definitely one of the world cinema classics. Loved everything about it...as you mentioned...Waheeda Rehman- her grace, her charm, her dance...and the beautiful ending...I was in a different world for the next 2 days.
I know I will love the book more, just a matter of seeing it when I visit a book store.

      psarada,
DABH- I am not a fan of it. The current track is what the story always promised- the heroine centric track- the evening college is much better than all the masala they have been showing- may be will look good for the next 2 weeks.
Heh heh.. I am watching it right now. Everyone at the college is speculating on how Sandhya landed up in evening college. They are imagining her to be married to a doctor or engineer who insists hos wife has to be educated enough for his standards....lol.
And they are not sharing their notes with her- each one has his own reason. This is probably the only track in DABH I can watch- the students are an interesting bunch and they have a sweet tea- boy also. Evidently a lot of thought has gone into this track.

Reminds me of MB- I thought Madhubala was about Madhu who was born on the sets going on to conquer the screen- actually waiting for that phase...might be more interesting than what they are showing now.

Zee- What happened to Hitler didi and Afsar Bitiya. I thought they were Zee's Charlie's angels (well 2 angels)- PV has definitely taken over the no:1 spot.
Hitler- is a total crap show, I wonder how the actress still retains her position in the top 10 Telly celebs.
Afsar- I thought was a better show- never watched it, only seen bits here and there.Sigh.. I have lots of hopes for QH. I want IF to stay sleepy and the trps to show up- I cannot help loving QH.

I like Kritika too- loved her kurtis in the earlier epis I watched. My niece used to say I watch the show just to see her kurtis! LOL!

  9. The other option I thought for San was, her playing the grown up Veera- that is, if they plan to take the story to that level. Somehow, I feel the kid is too good, the show will lose a bit of its charm once he grows up.

    1. If San is in SC, my bet is, we will get to know in the next 2 weeks.

    2. The story of Veera has been kept totally under wraps... we have no clue how far they plan to take it. I think the kids will be there for quite some time - all the promos have been only with the kids so far, no hint of adulthood. So it might be too far in the future for Sanaya. I think SP will want her back on screen ASAP, while her image is still strong with the audience. But a few months break for sure, to whet the appetite and accept her in a new image - Khushi is indelibly printed on the audience's mind, and a new character would have to be very different and very strong.

I feel the grown up Veera might be a bit like Khushi, strong and high spirited. In which case again, San might not want to do it. Too similar.

Again, considering the writer and director of Veera, I wouldn't mind if she did. A very strong team. Although Tuesday's episode was quite cliched.

I will start keeping track of bets now :)
      Sarada says end-Jan.
      I say mid-Jan.
      Su says next two weeks.
