16/11 - Epi 121 ... Hubby-wife squabbles

16th Nov Wed

Back on track!

Apart from the sheer illogicality (is that a word?) of Anjali, La and Nani wanting Khushi in RM, the episode was good :)

Dining table scene, where Mami tastes La's mirchi-vali daal and runs for help, La and Khushi go to make fresh daal, while Anjali explains to Nani that La added the mirchi on purpose, and Nani enjoying the pranks ...

And then of course, everyone conveniently disappears when Arnav comes for lunch, giving us our Arnav-Khushi dose - these two are complete naturals at these scenes, made for each other ... he and Khushi glare at each other, but true to promise, no words ... Khushi starts to leave and sees Arnav taking the daal, tries frantically to warn him ... even uses the help of HP, which backfires completely ... if Khushi and La made the two daals, of course Arnav will have La's daal, and not Khushi's ... Khushi gives up, "okkkaayyy, don't say I didn't warn you," Arnav tastes the daal, all the while looking at Khushi daring her to stop him, Khushi turns and waits with the "just waiting ... waiting ... there, I tried to tell you but do you ever listen?" as he hiccups ... he still goes on eating the daal, because of course, how can he admit she was right? The phrase "cutting off your nose to spite your face" springs to mind!
Utterly *rofl* cute scene ... the expressions on both their faces, especially Sanaya's were an absolute riot! Treat to watch!

Mami at mandir, outplayed by Nani ...
Anjali, Nani, La and jewelry ... getting ready for the engagement ... will it happen? And the note finally finds its way to the intended recipient, just as he's losing it about his missed telecon call to the invisible Aman ... he realises belatedly what Khushi was trying to tell him, and as usual, he didn't listen.
Just as Khushi comes in with milk ... poor girl, his mirchi is hurting her ... she can't stand his discomfort or pain either, as much as he can't stand hers ... so she brings milk, mimes out eating the spicy daal ... her expressions were so sweet here, especially when she holds out the milk as though it's a peace offering ...
And Arnav bitua of course, throws the milk into the pool, like a petulant child ... tantrums, what tantrums!

And Khushi is so annoyed ... so she goes to the kitchen and starts making a racket, just as his important call comes in ... and of course, any sensible person on a call would go to another room, shut the door, and carry on ...
but no, Arnav cannot stay away from Khushi, so he comes further into the kitchen, wages war through eyes and gestures now, as words are forbidden ... he can't shout at her, so he calls Di, and Khushi disappears ...
Di leaves and he finally finds Khushi ...
Sanaya's expressions again ... OMG, hilarious! The mischief and naughtiness dancing in her eyes, as she bangs away at the pestle and mortar, perky, mischievous Khushi at her best ...
All the Arnav-Khushi scenes were such typical hubby-wife squabble scenes - ultra cute!  Especially the dining table one, with poor HP caught in the crossfire, and Khushi's "I told you so, but do you ever listen?" look!

Precap was ... indescribable ... felt like melting at the look in his eyes, his voice, as he asked her "do you think they're happy seeing us here?" ... seeing us??? Can't wait for tonight's episode.

I think they will both start laughing ... that's the only way the ice will break now and the distances lessen again ... to the point of the precap. Nothing melts away bitterness and anger like laughter does.

  1. So u trying to bring some sense into the arshi scenes (referring to ur recap post)...much needed ya....else, it all seems so inconsistent...but not to the point of frustration, not yet...LOL :)

U know, as illogical as the mime act was, I completely enjoyed it and a lot of credit for that goes to SaRun..had it been some actors of lesser calibre, I could have easily cringed at the same scene but sarun were fab...super cute expressions, emoting flawlessly through their eyes so where's the need for words :)

If this was a defence mechanism to protect themselves from anymore pain, then looks like the defences are coming down again...the precap was unbelievable *dreamy face*...m wondering wot brot that on...u guessing a laughter split yet again? Mmmm...dun think cvs wud repeat...i read another logic...something to do with arnav's mom bangles which anjali mentioned...seems possible cuz thats wot always brings them on the same side...

N ofcourse, d new promo..we are ticking again...YAY! :) finally moving closer to shyam's exposure

  2. Shilpi,

Yep, trying to bring some sense to Arshi, and I think I did ... to my satisfaction, at least ;-)

I really did enjoy the episode ... was smiling throughout ... the mime act today was actually funny, especially with HP's helpful interjections, which turned out to be not so helpful after all ;-) and the actors were fabulous ... I really wonder how Barun kept a straight face ... as for Sanaya, the expressions were so natural, that it would have been easy to act! I go through the exact same feelings as she did when my husband is being stubborn about something! Especially the last bit at the table when she turns around as though to see ... "See??!! I warned you ... but do you ever listen?" SUCH a wifely thing to do! Her expressions were fabulous ... even her naughtiness in the kitchen scene was too cute! If you're sulking like a spoilt brat, I can be bratty too!

Oh yes, I think all this is a defence mechanism ... neither of them is able to forget about Diwali, and they're frantically trying to get it out of their minds, and get back to some kind of working relationship ... because they can't stay apart either. And they both have backed themselves into tight spots with their respective engagements ...

Precap was totally dreamy ... for the first time, I am totally in love with Barun's face, his expressions and the way he said those words. Can't wait for tonight.
I'm thinking of a burst of laughter, because it will clear the air ... it could be something emotional also, I guess ... but for me, laughing together is very important, I always love to see that. But yep, it could be the missing bangles ... do you think Shyam has anything to do with their disappearance? He gave a pair of bangles to Buaji, remember?

    New promo ... YAY!!! Finally!!!

  3. Arre it comes naturally to u cuz u face it with ur real husband :) sarun still need to act it out but kudos to them, it seems very very natural..i think these are the kinda scenes both of them enjoy...both fun loving ppl so m sure they have a blast shooting such scenes...much more than the awkward dupatta or fall catch ones...

laughing together is important indeed - at others most ppl can do.. but laughing together at each other, now that really brings ppl closer...would love if they show something like that.... cuz nothing could bridge distances more...

but now that u've reminded me of the shyam angle, m all the more inclined to believe that the bangle wil be the ice-breaker for arshi for now....thinking li'l ahead, will shyam try to use this to get khushi kicked out of RM, just like he tried with anjali's necklace?only if khushi wasnt arnd wen he handed it over to bua...i FF that scene so I m not sure..but everything seems connected..

Or maybe it's just my bored mind overthinking again ;))

ps: side ques, wot time zone does ur blog follow...russian?

  4. Shilpi,

Funnily, I had the exact same situation at home the day this episode aired - my hubby dear was insisting on eating something he knows does not agree with him ... after a couple of attempts to stop him, and being called a nag, I gave up - kar lo jo karna hai, you will never listen ...
and sure enough, two hours later, like bheegi billi, he was back saying, I should have listened to you :D ... so I found this part particularly hilarious - it happens in my house all the time! But we always laugh at the end of it! Wish they would show something like that with Khushi-Arnav - but I guess that is some time off!

And you were right ... bangle and mom was the ice-breaker ... but the bangles are very much there, so just wondering what will Shyam try now? I think he's trying to get the wedding date fixed asap, by the looks of it.

Blog time ... I've wondered that myself ;-) ... this time when I post, let me check!
