4/11- Epi 113 ... Heartbreak all the way

4th Nov Fri

Hated Buaji, hated Arnav.
First Buaji ... it really seems Shyam has done some jadoo tona on her. How else can you explain a woman, when her beloved brother is choking in front of her, to go on haranguing her niece to say yes to marriage?! Utter crap!!! And for chrissake, if people are writing crap about your niece and some random stranger, kick that random stranger out of your house – you were utterly stupid and off your rocker to keep a young man as a paying guest in a house with two young girls ... WHICH silly idiot does that? And then cry about what the neighbours will say ... of course they will say things, when you were so brainless in the first place. But the cake was when Shashi was choking and all Buaji could think was ‘Khushi marry Shyam and Shashi will recover miraculously!’

And I am really disappointed with the cv’s on this one ... this was totally crappy! The same as a dozen other serials, a girl having to bow to pressure because of what the idiotic neighbours will say ... and the evil man getting away with his evil plans ... I was SO hoping for Khushi to hold firm and say ... yes, I will agree, the day my babuji recovers enough to give his blessing, I will say yes, and not a day before. Then it would have been worth it to see Shyam’s face.

The only silver lining is that Khushi HAD to say yes to Shyam somehow for the story to get the extra push forward ... the cv’s fell back on some very unoriginal and detestable stuff ... so they’d better not linger on this for too long ... AND they’d better show Khushi getting back to her usual brave strong self and setting her terms and conditions for the wedding to Shyam, preferably including the condition that he move out of the house till the wedding ... though of course, right then the poor girl was far too traumatized and buffeted by the storms of the day to even think straight.

Side note ... how I loved, and yet cried for Khushi as she remembered all that Arnav had done and said ... and then finally gave in and said yes.

Now Arnav ... I am seriously pissed off with him as well. Yes, you’ve got a tortured past, we understand that. Yes, you fight emotion, you fight commitment, you run miles from love ... we get all that. Even when you dropped Khushi from the office, I forgave you, even when you sent her to the guesthouse, I overlooked ...

But this was deliberate cruelty and sheer cowardice. Okay, you don’t want her getting ideas about you ... you’re scared she affects you more than you want ... scared, heck, you’re petrified. So to save your own precious skin, and that fragile crumbling ASR mantle of yours, you turn and lash out so cruelly at Khushi ... tell her she means less than nothing to you, and she should give up any dreams she might have of catching a man like you. Why couldn’t you just be indifferent, cool, casual, get the message across without killing her spirit, her soul in the process? She wasn’t asking anything from you, she didn’t expect anything ... YOU were the one who came on to her big time ... returning the payal, indeed ... why not just give it to her in her hand if all you wanted to do was return it? Why that soft touch, the need to put it on her foot yourself? And then when she was confused at that totally unexpected tenderness, you went further, YOU advanced, you wanted to kiss her because YOU got carried away by your feelings ... yes, so did she ... but you now forcefully deny those feelings ever existed, yet mock her for hers? Because you’re scared?!

Scared heck ... you’re a coward, ASR ... and a cruel one too. And you deserve every bit of the pain that’s coming your way.

Khushi might still have held out against Buaji’s taunts and emotional blackmail BUT for the memory of Arnav’s words ... what he said and what he did ... poor, poor heartbroken Khushi ... realising her love and her heartbreak on the same night itself barely a heartbeat apart. And yes, she felt used, humiliated ... what had been a life-altering experience for her turned into a dirty, shameful experience by the man she realised she had fallen in love with. And the realisation that she still meant less than nothing to him, that he still looked down on her as he always had.

He doesn’t, of course ... but that’s another story. And I am SO looking forward to seeing Arnav hurt every bit as much as he hurt Khushi ... that little bit of anguish in the car was just an appetiser, compared to what she went through with that roadroller Buaji of hers ...  Arnav, you’d better be grateful you don’t have a relative like that! At least your relatives are willing to listen to you and postpone the wedding you don’t really want, for as long as you like ... Khushi doesn’t even have that choice. No, you have a lot more suffering to do before I’m satisfied.

Sanaya, I hate you ... you always do this to me ... make me feel the pain of the character you play so well that I feel actually depressed. No wonder we all say Sanaya Irani is the QUEEN of emotions ... when you slipped down to the floor sobbing, I was crying with you. Any other tv actress – and I’ve seen quite a few do exactly this scene – make me cringe with their OTT boohooing ... but the way you cry on screen is just heartbreaking.

  1. hey Diyu,

Even i was hoping that she would agree for the marriage, but would say that she wants her babuji to participate in the celebrations, and so will wait till he gets better.......anyways, if his health is falling because of the marriage tension, then he should recover, once she agrees, isn't it ?

I guess maybe that's what even she had in mind, but this Buaji is horrible..........i really want to see her face, when the truth is revealed,.........

totally agree with the last para........want to esp mention the scene when payal asks her about her anklet (outside on the stairs)...she (still in shock) replies,'it doesn't mean anything'

just that one dialogue and her expressions are enough to convey the whole message of what she is going through

  2. Geetu,
Oh yesss, that scene outside her house was heartwrenching ... the way she says that ...'it doesn't mean anything' ... and then goes inside, locks the door and collapses ... shit!!! With the 'maula' going on in the background ...

She seems to be back to the strong Khushi in the SBS ... I just hope her strength is not confined to Arnav, but she can also hold out against Shyam and postpone the marriage till her babuji recovers ...

In my mind, two possibilities ... a) she does manage to keep postponing the wedding, Arnav gets suspicious about her engagement, either that she's not happy, or he actually starts to get suspicious about his blessed Jeeju ... and Shyam makes a wrong move, and gets caught by Arnav and Khushi ... and they alone know his truth ...

or Shyam Khushi wedding gets fixed and there is last minute rescue by Arnav ... though here Shyam's truth would be out to the whole Gupta family for sure ... including that Buaji...

Both ways would make Arnav hate Khushi, or at least, create another misunderstanding, but we would be spared the wedding preparations and would see a strong Khushi and a frustrated Shyam if the first happened ... and a humiliated Buaji if the second happened ... I don't know which one I want more at this point! :p

  3. u saw the sbs, though he tied the bandage on her finger, they are still at full-on hate mood....also the way he behaved in the pre-cap....i don't thing he is gonna miss her anytime soon :(

i was so hoping to see the out of breath Arnav....remembering Khushi....wonder whats gonna happen......the maha-episode is on 20th nov.....

for now i think even if Arnav-khushi don't get married, at-least khushi should know Shyam's truth and tell Buaji that she doesn't think that getting married is gonna solve all the problems......but she being a small town girl, i doubt they are gonna show her that strong.....also she feels in-debted to gupta's for giving her a family naa....

    :(

  4. Geetu,
Yep, I saw the SBS ... so the hate is back for the time being, and they both will try to avoid each other ... and we know already that's not going to happen! ;-)
So again, it HAS to be Shyam who will somehow get them back together, however that happens.

And I think we will get the broody, out of breath Arnav only after he hears about Khushi's engagement, not before ... even then, am sure his first reaction will be - you couldn't get me, so you phansoed a new murga ...

The exposure of Shyam will come only at the marriage ... am almost sure, at the rate it's going ... will Shyam be exposed only to Arnav, Khushi or both? Or to Anjali ... doubtful ...
And will it lead to Arnav Khushi marriage? Or will Arnav try to send her away from Shyam ... and from him?

Gosh, just don't know HOW this is gonna go ... but it will be filler episodes till the ME on Nov 20th for sure ... that will be the next milestone ... and it HAS to be related to Shyam and the Shyam-Khushi shaadi! I can't think of anything else for the story to progress!

In the meantime be prepared for two weeks of Shym torture. Just hope we get some broody regretful Arnav ... I really want to see him repenting now!
