I thought I was doing what was right, making amends for my mistake ... then why does it feel so wrong?
I did what she wanted, I got La back because she wanted that ... then why is she still unhappy? What am I doing wrong now?

The start of something new? Khushi still upset, vowing to try yet again, after all, it's all her fault that Arnav and La broke up, so she has to make amends for her mistake, why should they pay for it? And yes, Arnav's words about people moving on and never staying together for life, do make her feel that he is feeling as upset about the breakup as La is ...
But where to get the money for her next plan? Her bangle ... without any hesitation. Khushi, in the balance sheet, Arnav for all his wealth is very much in your debt ... phone, the mountain of mithai for the anniversary party and now your bangle ... hope he realises it sometime and gets round to paying you back!
Liked the small Arnav- Akash scene, Arnav still visibly disturbed after Khushi leaves, Akash has to pull him back to reality gently.
Shashi babu fianlly manages to call Rani Sahiba ... but Shyam babua is smarter ... has a false 'Rani Sahiba' set up already. He's not going to let anyone interfere with his plans ... ugly side of Shyam emerging more and more.
Arnav comes back to his office ... to see it full of plants, with a love note from "La". And all he can think of is Khushi, how she tried to convince him to get Lavanya back, asked him if he ever loved La, and then her tears ... her tears ... WHY can he not see her crying?! Why do her tears trouble him so much?! And he bangs the table in frustration ... his family, even Di's pleas, he could withstand ... but for Khushi's tears, he will do something he never wanted to do ...
Does he know the note is from Khushi and not Lavanya? I am pretty sure he does ... it's written in Hindi, for one thing, and it's Khushi who has been making all the efforts to get La back into his life ... Khushi took the blame for the bride scene, completely absolving La, he knew Khushi had written the first letter, am very sure he knows she's written this one as well.
Back at RM ... Nani wondering if everyone is trying to get La back.
Khushi back with La, trying to stop her from going ... saying she is sure Arnav will come. And he does.
Looking only at Khushi, as though asking her, now are you happy?
And she is ... her face breaks into a radiant smile, and his eyes soften seeing that smile ... yes, you're happy now.
La runs into his arms, he stands like a statue as she wraps her arms around him, his face expressionless again ... then slowly, he lifts one arm, then the other to return La's hug ... awkwardly ... as though still wondering why the hell he's even doing this.
And as he moves, Khushi's radiant smile fades slowly, she watches as though something is hurting suddenly, some unfamiliar pain is piercing through her, finding its way out through a single tear that escapes one eye ... she gives a start and lifts a finger to the tear,and looks at it as though questioning its presence ... is she crying? Why is she crying? Why should she cry?This was what she wanted ... wasn't it?
And she looks up back at him, her pain on her face, he looks at her, all his attention on her, none at all on the girl in his arms ... his gaze questioning her, are you happy now ... and sees her face ... and his own changes ... incredulous ... is she crying?! Why is she crying? This was what she wanted, isn't it? Why is she unhappy? What did he do wrong now?
The same questions ... do either of them have an answer yet?
She doesn't have an answer ... she just leaves quietly ... quickly ...
And he stares as she leaves ... Why? Why is she crying again? And why is it hurting him yet again?
The expressions on Barun and Sanaya's faces ... not a single dialogue ... all the talking through the eyes ... and the bg music, slow, heavy beats and the sad Rabba ve ...
Will this be the scene of the week?
The rest of the episode intensified the feeling of isolation, of aloneness that each felt ... lost in their own thoughts ... if the apology was a milestone, this was surely another one ...
Arnav brings La home ... as he enters, his expressions were those of a man doing something completely against his will, against his better judgement, hsi face only softened slightly when he saw his Di's happiness ... but not enough to join in with the family puja ... he wanted to get away, needed to be alone ... he had to think, to remember, to wonder, to worry ... why was she crying again?!
And Khushi equally lost during her own family puja ... why is she not happy? This was what she wanted, wasn't it? She did everything to bring it about, La was so happy, La and Arnav were together again, but then why ... her half sentences, as disjointed as her thoughts ...
Next day ... Arnav hasn't agreed to marriage yet, thank god! La getting impatient, though! Nani decides to give some more rope to hang herself with ... Anjali promises she will bring Khushi back to help her.
Khushi totally lost in her thoughts ... why is she feeling so bad? Why is she always thinking about Arnav? And Slimeball Shyam gives her the answer ... he thinks she's talking about him! Urrgghhh ... he's getting more and more obsessed!
And La manages to hang herself yet again ... but of course.

ReplyDeleteI finally did! I hope I did it some justice ... I thought the episode was fabulous ... especially the Arshi scenes. Barun and Sanaya were just superb in their expressions, both individually and together.
awesome.......as usual..........loved the episode.........and loved reading your post
ReplyDeleteI read the la being back thing on Sunday on IF......and was so heart broken..also wasn't looking forward to the hug........infact i was planning to miss the episode and go shopping.......but then thought of the trp's and went home to watch......and really, the way they showed his awkwardness while hugging la......it wasn't that bad.......and since it was necessary for khushi to realize her feeling.....so i am ok with it.....
I was really sad thinking that, maybe for once Arnav didn't realize that Khushi had sent the plants, because they didn't show it directly......but after reading bt it in ur post, i am feeling better and hopeful......
And now i hope that he comes to know about the bangle thing ASAP....would like to see how he reacts to that bit of info....
Barun and Sanaya, what can we say about them......everytime we say they were best, they always come up with something better.....and i really wonder how they manage seeing the awesome masti that they do, in the sbs and sbb segments.....
Keep writing Dia, I always read ur post......here and also on IF :)

ReplyDeleteYep, me too ... I was really upset that La was back, but I guess they did it this way for Khushi's realisation to start. All along, they have never once shown Arnav reciprocating La's advances ... it's only ever been her, and he just stands like a statue *rofl* And that is always what Khushi had seen, so she never relaised how much seeing HIM take the lead, or even just return La's gesture would mean to her. I guess they did the first very subtle set up during the Teej episode, when he broke La's fast, and then they just left it at that ... to bring it in now, when she has started changing her opinion about ASR ... the man ...
It's times like these that I think the cv's DO know what they're doing *rofl* ... and they're taking it very slowly for a reason ... so am more than willing to wait. :-)
And I really think he knows the plants were also by Khushi ... when he goes to get La, he's only looking at Khushi for her reaction, and there was this very subtle softening of his face when he sees her smile ... and when he does hug La, he is visibly awkward ... as though he's actually doing that for Khushi's benefit as well ... so he gets totally confused by her reaction ...
I wish I had some of the IF emoticons here! :D
You read on IF as well? I post here so regularly that I get lazy to post there these days ;-) What's your user name on IF?
