Aankhon hi aankhon mein ishaara ho gaya ...
Aankhon mein voh baat keh gaye ...
I loved the eyespeak between Arnav and Khushi today ... ahh, the connection is back ... the way they don't need words to talk ... their eyes say it all.
On Tuesday she said she would make him stay back, because it was foolish of him to try and leave. She gave him good reasons for staying back ... he didn't listen. So she challenged him ... you will stay back, I will make you.
And he accepted the challenge ... You will? What makes you think I will listen to you? Just try it!
So she did ... in full Khushi style, all nautanki drama, the works ... *rofl* ed at the you're leaving me because of too much mirchi in the daal ... and Arnav of course, faced with some 5-6 very determined bulky Khushi champions, was left with no choice ... much to his annoyance ... not so much at having to stay, but at losing his challenge.
And Khushi celebrates as the bhangra dancers start their festivities.
And in those fleeting moments, amidst the colorful noisy bhangra dancers and the noisy joyous festive atmosphere, the two had a silent conversation ... in their own world, without even registering the noise and color around them ...
She ... impish, delighted grin, a victorious wiggle of the eyebrows ... I got you!
He ... Angry ... just you wait ...
She ... You're just sulking ... you challenged me and I won ...
He ... for now ... just for now, believe me ...
And then she gets up to dance, still delighted, and he sees her dancing without a care in the world, ... his face softens seeing that innocent smile, the sheer joy and life in her ... but then she looks at him and smiles again ... delighted to see him smile ... and he takes it as rejoicing in her victory yet again ... his smile fades and his mind clicks into action ... she won. She won?! How dare she win against him, Arnav Singh Raizada? And the fun and lightness of the challenge is forgotten as Arnav pulls the heavy mantle of ASR around him again ...
Loved the way this was picturised ... Arnav and Khushi peeping at each other through the colorful curtain of shifting dancing figures, her mischievous impish grin, his snarky one ... for a moment there, ASR was gone, it was Arnav alone ... meeting Khushi on a common turf ...
and then he's gone ... and ASR is back ... together with the temper that doesn't let him think ... especially where this girl is concerned.
So he does a nautanki of his own ... yes, we're married ... and tonight is our wedding night ...
And poor Khushi ... her smile fades ... why doesn't he see that she did this only for him ... but of course, he can't, because his ego doesn't allow him to see past the fact that she bested him in their challenge ... and he can't have that ...
So off he goes in total caveman style, to the cheers of the crowd ... and a very scared Khushi ... uh oh, she's unleashed the temper again ... now he's not going to be thinking past that temper ...
And of course, he doesn't ... it's all about how dare she behave like that with him ... how dare she ...
Not ready to listen or think as to why she did what she did ... tells her again to get out of his life, leave because he doesn't want to see her face again ...
and leaves her outside, in the dark, in the cold ...
And Khushi curls up into a little ball, terrified as the light goes out and she's left in the dark ...
Next morning Arnav wakes up ... ok, I loved his concern and his thoughts for Khushi as soon as he got up ... but seriously, man ... did you actually go off to sleep peacefully after leaving her locked out alone in the dark? Major minus points for that one! My husband would be in the doghouse for life if he did that!
Anyway, Arnav makes up for it with his immediate concern and the way he remembered telling her to leave ... Oh shit ... has she actually left?!
And loved the poignancy of the scene ... as he finds her curled up outside, the light fused ... he actually tries the switch, and again remembers she's afraid of the dark ... love the way the cv's put in all these little touches and the way he remembers all her fears ... carries her in ... and again a repeat of the GH scene, the way she holds onto him and he gently releases her hand ...
Dhabe vali aunty rubs it in further unknowingly as she wonders how Khushi caught cold when the blankets were right there ... Arnav is now drowning under his guilt ... yet again.
And the last bit reminded me why I just love this couple ... their emotional scenes are going to be killers ... hardly any words, as he wakes her up, she murmurs 'amma, babuji' and his jaw clenches again ... again seeing the little lost girl, an echo of his own lost self ... she wakes up, sees him, doesn't say a word, her eyes confused, dazed ... his eyes, his touch gentle as he lifts her, gives her medicine, helps her drink her milk ... all the while they are looking at each other, and looking away again, he from guilt, she from ... what?
Reminded me of the words of the song
Jhuki Jhuki si nazar
Nani ... bravo ... telling mami like it is ... you're scared because this is exactly what you did!
And Anjali ... honestly, she's bugging me ... on one hand, she encourages Akash about Payal, on the other hand, she tells Mami that there's nothing between them. Two-faced!
Shashai finally follows Shyam to the mandir and catches him red-handed ... literally ... putting sindoor into Anjali's maang ... no chance of any galat fehmi here ... but really Shashi babu *head desk* ... confronting the guy here and now?! Couldn't you wait till you got home and had witnesses or reinforcements? Of course you couldn't ... otherwise story kaise aage badhti?!
And one last question ... did Arnav get around to eating last night or not? The main reason why Khushi stopped him? One of the reasons, anyway.

Part 2
Wow Dia...loved ur post again (whats new, rite? LOL)..u know, its such a breath of fresh air - the posts in the forum after last nite's epi kinda ticked me off - no doubt Barun's good looking and that adds to ArShi chemistry, but no need to make 10 posts on it everyday - get over it now..and realise there's more to the show than that! and i dun just mean Sanaya, i think all the actors in the show are very talented n quite well suited for their role..its a gr8 cast! :)
ReplyDeleteanyways, coming back to the epi..oh, i adored the eyetalk too..khushi's victorious eyes irking Arnav and the bright smile melting his heart :))
and the last scene was just awwwww...not too many words conversed and yet it held so much meaning ..loved the guilt on arnav's face and the way he took care of khushi made up for his outrage the night before...must say, Arnav's anger is quite something but thats wot makes the character more real - he doesnt melt down easily..m quite short-tempered myself, so i for one do know that anger can make one loose their head and it takes its own good time to cool off! so for me, that was in character..
and the amma babuji scene..just superb! its like they are both equally lost in huge wide world having lost their parents early and eventually they are gonna be each other pillars FOR LIFE!
Shilpi, you're telling me!!! It's bugging me so much now that I hardly post there these days! It's all about how HAWT BS is and what a great actor ... honestly, get over it now! Yes, he's good, he's doing a good job, why the need to repeat it again and again every single minute? Are they still insecure about the initial days when San got all the praise so now they feel the need to point out all the time how good an actor he is?
ReplyDeleteAnd the constant 'why is Khushi not falling for him' ... well duh, the guy has hardly been nice to her all along, has he? And he does one nice thing, and then takes two steps back ...
Anyway, their constant ranting is getting so much that I'm starting to dislike ASR ... which I don't want to do! So would rather stay off the forum and post my thoughts here ... good, bad and ugly! And I really do like the couple ... San and Barun make a great pair onscreen and their chemistry is great ... both of them act so well, unlike MJHT where San was way better than Mohit at the start, so am not surprised that the show is doing well! CV's do need to tighten the script a lot though ... but it's a love story, might as well enjoy it without doing major analysis!
And yes, I loved the last scene ... for me, it was also very telling the way Khushi quietly accepted Arnav being there when she woke up, taking care of her ... loved the confusion in her eyes when she woke up, and then the quiet acceptance, while looking at him again and again, as though he had full right to be there, do all that. Even the way he helped her up, holding her close and the way she held his arm so naturally as she sat up ... as though their hearts have accepted what their minds still haven't acknowledged.
ReplyDeleteYeah I know wot you are talking about...its like wot happened with RP..though here its somewot different...i actually like barun, as an actor n offscreen as well...plus SaRun r doing so well...so i guess ur strategy is better..stick to discussions one likes..
ReplyDeleteN ya...over analysis can kill the joy of the show sometimes...cuz after all its a daily soap n the story will go haywire at times.. so its better to just switch off ur brain, sit back n enjoy! :)
