4/10 - Epi 89 ... Bipolar CV's

4th Oct

Wish they would make up their minds whether this is an intense love story or a comedy!
Anyway, the episode per se was enjoyable ... might as well enjoy while waiting for the seriousness to set in. And hope that the OTT comedy gets toned down at some point.

Episode starts with Nani losing it over the lost Tulsi ... I thought Tulsi was kept in the aangan and never inside the house?! Oh well ... nani delighted to see Khushi, La's training to resume! Arnav asks irately what the matter is - this time he doesn't blame Khushi!
Khushi loses track of everyone in trying to decipher her heart beat ... La drags her back to reality ... help, Chamkili!

Shyam setting scene for getting himself married to Khushi - seems to be the only way he can get her out of RM. Sindoor on her photo ... yuckkk ... the cv's had better not show a Shyam-Khushi marriage, they just dare not!!!!

Back to RM ... Khushi happily blames Arnav for putting the tulsi outside near his other plants, spelling it out that he should take the blame in place of Lavanya. Liked Khushi's exasperated look, when she spells it out ... you made the mistake, and La is being blamed ... like, can you get with it please and save your bimbo girlfriend? And winks at him desperately again and again, till he yells STOP out of sheer exasperation ... like, yes, okay!!! I get it,  I'll take the rap this time! *rofl* did she leave him any choice?
And I liked their exchanged looks as he leaves, then turns back, as though saying ... you'd better stop doing this, every time you manage to get me to do what you want ... this won't last ... and you'll get your just desserts when my patience runs out ... and her worried look, a hint of apology in it ...
La thanks Khushi ... now Khushi has to deal with ASR also for her, not just with Nani.

Gupta house ... Buaji convincing Garima ... Shashi babu, you'd better hold out ... or Khushi, you'd better say a firm NO. My last hope.

Rest of the episode was about Khushi's heartbeats and testing them ... first it was hiccups, now heartbeats ... Khushi confused, Arnav totally caught up in her confusion, all his attention on her ... what happened now?

Payal upset again about her wedding talks ... I think these are going to be filler scenes till the Diwali celebrations on SP are over ... Daljeet, and hopefully Barun Sanaya are taking part, so they need some non-Arshi scenes.
Khushi testing heartbeats again, Arnav wondering what the hell is wrong with this girl, does she think she's invisible, and what on earth is she even doing? But he still doesn't yell ... and Khushi ascribes her heartbeats to acidity and fasting ... they increase when she comes close or goes far, so no relation to ASR, thank god!

Mellow night scene ... ASR the workoholic (arey, kaam yaad aa gaya?), the other three in romantic mood, ASR non-romantic ... and again, Shyam reminds him of Khushi ...

Cute Khushi, castigating herself about her behaviour in front of Arnav, why did she talk so much to him, what would he be thinking of her ... and why is she feeling ajeeb? Acidity again ...

Anjali, Nani, La ... getting ready for Kanjak puja. More rope to hang La with ... Anjali leaves for YAP (yet another puja) and asks Khushi to take care, and not let the girls into Arnav's room.
So of course they will ... ;-)
And Khushi wants to leave before Arnav returns from office. So of course she won't. ;)

Precap - Slimeball Shyam will slime out again ...

  1. LOL Dia..at the title and your ending lines - cliched Indian soaps and we love them, well atleast this one!

i actually liked the episode - Sanaya doing comedy is sooo much fun...those incessant winks inducing Arnav's yet another 'what the..' only to be countered by 'what nahi POT' had me ROFLing! SaRun rocked this scene...

and u know i love your interpretation of the unsaid..m enjoying the 'palat' moments in the show..like a trademark b/w ArShi! and u make them more meaningful! :)

  2. and ya, Khushi blabbering abt spilling the beans in front of Arnav in the apology scene was so cute...i like how she says it all in one breath! Sanaya's must be having to cram a tonne more lines than MJHT - and she's doing it with perfection!

  3. rofl at "biopolar"!! :D ..But have to ask...why can't it be both?...an intense love story with a tadka of humour? ;-)...one extreme without the other can lead to overkill! :-)...and by nature, we are multi faceted emotional beings...toh all in all...all I am saying is...I loved those comic scenes! haha...the winking scene...the sneaking back & forth behind ASR...and even some of today's (5 Oct) scenes were superbly enacted by Sanaya.

And I agree with you, running two tracks parallel (ASR softening & Shyam's inevitable reveal) is working well!

    Let's see, what happens next...

  4. Shilpi, I liked the episode per se ... I guess I was expecting some intense stuff, so was a little put off initially ... though I have to say, I laughed every time I watched and re-watched it again and again! The what nahin POT was too funny! As for the winks and thei expressions - they both are really good, now I can read Barun as well as San and it makes for great viewing!

And Sanaya is just 'wow'ing me with her comedy ... I never ever thought she could be so good! And Barun adds to it immensely with his straight face and his WT* expressions ... together they are just classic!

  5. P!!!
I actually enjoyed the 5th Oct episode a LOT .. loved it ... and yep, you're right, comedy, if done well, is great ... the two episodes have been real fun to watch! Am loving this pair ... and I must say, they are both great actors, they can do the serious, intense emotional scenes as well as this comedy both equally well, and honestly, comedy is much more difficult to do - but their timing, especially Sanaya's, is impeccable!!!

What are your thoughts on the Shyam revelation? I just hope he doesn't try to kill Shashi babu ... that would be too much!

  6. I think the Shyam revelation needs to be presented in epic proportions to propell the story, individual characters & the K-ASR relationship to the next level!

I expect it to lead to life changing consequences for Khushi especially...that somehow bring her closer to ASR...so, I expect although Shyam would probably intend to kill Shashi babu...he will probably leave him in a state where he is left as a silent spectator of what then unfolds...so possibly, as you said previously, a stroke that leaves him immobile and unable to communicate.

Let's see...this is the chance for the show to reach greater heights with a tightly woven story & great acting...I hope the PH does not play it safe and just keep things plodding along! I have great expectations...as this PH has never disappointed me with Geet! :-)
