Zindagi Gulzar Hai - Epi 20 (Fri 12 April)
Kashaf is prickly, stubborn, undemonstrative even with her own family ... with Zaroon, she is scared witless. Scared to show what she is beginning to feel, scared to trust him and his feelings, scared to depend on him, because she is scared that they won't last ... The scars inflicted by her father run deep, she is scared to trust again. So she keeps a mask of indifference and cool unconcern firmly in place, despite all attempts by Zaroon to probe and push past it.
Hand holding at night ... so many times he tries to hold her hand, so many times she pushes it off, releases it on some pretext or the other ... only to hold it herself later at night, when he's asleep and can't see it, can't see her dependence on him.
Her insecurity, fear translated into extreme defensiveness and truculence, aggressiveness with mother and sister ... why did you ask him to stay? He can't handle the lack of amenities here, he's not used to them ... Masking her own fears and insecurity ... what if he looks down on her and her home, her family, her neighbourhood, what if he realises the difference in their social strata, and maybe suddenly thinks he made a mistake and she's not worth it after all ... her mask of indifference a cloak to tell herself that she can handle it if he leaves her, the way her father left her mother ... but actually she's only trying to fool herself, because more and more she's realising she won't be able to handle it if history repeats itself ...
And the mask comes off with a simple gesture ... Zaroon gives her money ... because she's his wife, his responsibility ... she can keep her own salary safely in her account, because it's his duty and his right to take care of her ...
No man has ever done that for her. Not even her own father. No man has ever made her feel protected and safe, that he is there to take care of her.
And that gives Zaroon his first peek behind the mask ... he is still to learn the depths of insecurity in Kashaf, but the first glimpse tells him that yes, her indifference, her light laughing cynicism, her lack of romanticism ... it's all a mask ... and she is hiding something very different behind it.
Veera ...was pretty slow the last fortnight ... the grand spectacle of Sher-E-Punjab must have taken a lot of time and effort to shoot. Done on a really huge scale. Ratan came third in the tractor race, Ranvi and Nihal came first in the horse race, as expected :) ... How come Bakhtawar came second in the race? I thought all these years after Sampooran left, he had not managed to pick up a single medal ...
Kartar's feelings exposed to Chaiji ... really don't know where they are going with this ... was not necessary, I feel. One villain Bakhtawar is enough! Anyway, in this show, they never do anything halfway, and always tie up all the loose ends, so there must be some hidden meaning behind this track too.
And the road is paved for Ratan to offer Nihal a job on her farm.

Wow!! ZGH. Thanks Dia. i expected you to include ZGH in discussions this week. But u 've given a very beautiful summary of the episode itself. Very aptly written . You 've captured the underlining insecurity of kashaf , to trust someone, depend on someone, invest emotionally ....she's very scared. She has got a very beautiful start in her married life. Yet she's still clinging to the past experiences and insecurities...Hope she realizes soon . Her siblings and her mother to some extent has moved on. I'm hooked to this show now to watch how they take it further... .....I'm so glad that u included this in discussions...now eagerly waiting to read more on this from others too....,
ReplyDeleteKashaf is more affected than either of her younger siblings by her father's betrayal. I feel that's because she, being the eldest, must have experienced some love and affection from her father when she was first born, and that love dried up with the appearance of the younger girls. So as a very young child, she registered the difference in treatment, and the change in attitude ... and it is buried deep in her childhood memories. She doesn't allow herself to dwell on the memories consciously, but they have colored her entire attitude to life ... and given her this bitterness as well as a distrust of love, a conviction that love is a transient emotion, and can never be permanent, and a feeling that all men are not to be depended on, they will let you down. Hence she is scared to allow herself to become dependent on anyone else, particularly a man ... she has seen what those bonds of love did to her mother, and probably to her as well.
DeleteAnd now she sees herself becoming attached to Zaroon, and it scares her ... she is trying to convince herself with that cool behaviour, that she can do without him if the need arises, she is not dependent on him. It is only with her diary that she dares to share her inner most fears.
A lovely post on ZGH...Dia....a throwback to the golden times of IPK.....love is a really a simple emotion made complex by us human beings...Kashaf, Arnav, RK, Asad, Madhu, Khushi, Zoya, Megha, Mohan......one can keep adding names (from reel and real life) to the list. They may or may not come close to our own sensibilities but there will remain interesting characters because of the characteristics they display.
ReplyDeleteLove.....there are so many hues of it.....this genre always makes for interesting viewing when explored well....hence my continued fascination for this theme..
Oh did i miss mentioning the delectable Zaroon in the above mix....banda yeh bindaas hain....
Deleteabout Zaroon...a person who has had an upbringing in a environment generous about personal liberties...usually it has two effects...u could live with it very comfortably but it is also possible u question some of its "excesses" like Zaroon does. His constant allusion to simpler things in relationship is perhaps about that.
It usually takes experiences in life to find a good balance in a relationship.Maybe Kashaf despite her complexes may be just the one to provide it, She is just her own woman while being an able foil to the "say it as he sees it" Zaroon; maybe she will help him delve deeper....
Also, he may just be the guy to help Kashaf see she can unburden her cares on his shoulder and who knows Zaroon may just about see what is really troubling Kashaf beneath the cool facade.
Funnily, I am finding an echo of Manav in Zaroon. The same born with silver spoon in mouth upbringing, the same don't care attitude and carelessness towards others' feelings in his youth, the same immaturity ... but Zaroon saw the flaws in his upbringing and resented his mother's absence even as a young man, maybe as a child as well ... Manav has not yet had occasion to question his mother's values and judgements. Or we haven't seen it yet, even if he has. A glimpse maybe in the way he handles his mom's resentment of Himanshu.
DeleteZaroon saw the missing elements in his family life in Kashaf and her family ... an attention to tradition and custom, the motherly touch in everything, even though Kashaf's mother was a working woman too ... the excesses in the women in his house which troubled him, he saw the other side of the coin in Kashaf - even though she is as educated as his sister and mother, even though her mother is working like his mother, but Kashaf still has her curfew hours, her mom frowns on her returning late at night, alone with a boy ... everything that troubles him about his sister, he finds that addressed in Kashaf and her family. Even though he doesn't understand the cause fully ... he is yet to delve deeper into her psyche.
Manav till date has not questioned his family and the way it works ... but the contrasts have already been shown to the viewers. The difference is that here, Chhanchhan has no ghosts of the past ... in many ways, she is similar to Manav, she has also been brought up as a pampered favorite child, she has been given all the freedom she wants ... but the values and systems in the two families are different. With freedom comes responsibility ... while Chhanchhan's family seems to have inculcated that value in their children, Manav's family is different ... the children have not been allowed to grow up to that extent. They are treated as children still, the decision-makers are very much Uma Ben and her husband. Maybe the older sons resent that ... maybe their wives resent it ... but they all have to live that way. Manav has figured a way out ... he manages to twist his mom round his little finger and get his way. Mansi uses Manav. So those are the dynamics in that house. So here it is mainly Manav who has to grow up, and his family who will change.
Whereas in ZGH, I think from now on, it will be more about Zaroon finding out about Kashaf's psyche and bringing her out of the insecurities of her past into a more confident present.
Oh Dia..that was a beautiful take on ZGH...i hope you continue writing about it..i did tell you i loved reading everything written about IPK..
ReplyDeleteThe scene where Zaroon gives her cash was soo well done.. it will be very interesting to watch Zaroon find the real Kashaf..
this is my first non-Indian show and i must say i like what i see :)
and is it just me or are the leads soo natural with their acting?? they seem so at ease and every moment of theirs seems like it is happening before us and not acted..
ReplyDeletei mean ZGH of course...
and i really dont want it to only last 23 episodes.. at least 30..i want to know if they will find their diaries...
Hi Ani....gud to "see" u...i think ZGH is to have 25 epis...
DeleteThe leads are very natural; they are playing their characters to the T....their casting seems perfect. It is my first intro to the actors..Sanam Saaed brings about the right emotions to display the strength of character that Kashaf is required to portray. Her physicality, her strong jawline and bright eyes, just lending itself to the character..
Thanks, Anita! :)))
DeleteI've watched Pak serials years ago ... I saw Dhoop Kinare and Tahaaiyan, and enjoyed them both, Dhoop Kinare more than Tanhaaiyan, but maybe that was because of the setting - it was a story about doctors, and I saw it when I was in med school, so had a lot of resonance. The acting is very natural and understated, not much drama compared to Indian shows ... they concentrate on the story. Of course, the fact that they run for limited number of episodes and they have weekly episodes makes a huge difference ...
This is the first time I'm watching an on-going show, usually I've watched the complete play once it was done ... it is a bit slow moving, but it's a nice watch. I like the play of emotions, they don't draw out anything and make a huge hullabaloo about it, they keep it understated.
Wooooooooooooh, dhin chak dhink chak, Dia on ZGH, Will come back tomorrow:)
ReplyDeletei cannot not share this..
ReplyDeletewatch it.. and cry.
so beautifully made.

DeleteAww, this was so sweet ... that's why I don't want to watch the vm's any more ... I really miss them so much!!!
DeleteSomeone wanted Nani or Mami to enter Chhanchhan ... can I ditto that request please? Or even NK ... he's another person who brings a smile on my face whenever I see him! And Sanaya will be so happy!!!
haan..that was shwetha's wish...I would second that too :-)
DeleteJ......can i hug u....u may be miles away but i still want to send this virtual hug to u!!
DeleteThere is a core within me that just warms up when i think of IPK....nothing my over-analysis and rambling gyaan can ever take away.....IPK touched my life.....am for once without words to say how and am i glad that i am rendered speechless....miss the IPK days....and how!!
totally rekha.."warms up" the best way to put it..
DeleteIn fact, I have a set of friends whom I met through IF, and we have exchanged our phone numbers and we yap regularly!!
Appy!! ditto...many are connected becos ipk happened:) Just one VM all are lost atleast for few minutes ...remembering...Rekha its not only u .. include me ...miss them.
DeleteI guess, IPK miss karne walon ki line kaafi lambi hai..LOL!

DeleteYou are so right, Rekh, I guess it touched all our lives.....*hugs* all of you out here, and all the ones missing too...
And Dia, Thank You for this space.*hugs*
Jaya, thanks for sharing. That was beautiful. i really miss all of them. Never be able to forget if u keep on posting such VMs....But please do as ipk will always be in memories...it has connected so many people. Inspired a lot to come up with amazing write ups, also wonderful ff...i came to know u all becos of ipk only. I remember there were days when i refresh this page many times late night to read Dia's take on an episode...
ReplyDeleteLakshmi, you are really sweet! Thank you *HUGS*
DeleteJaya, me too ditto her request ... you are our BLE, remember?! :)))
Hi Dia, Hugs Back!!! dear what's BLE??? enlighten me!!!
DeleteHehe ... BLE is Blog Links Expert ... Jaya is expert at providing all the links to all things IPK-related :)))
DeleteShe used to be BBE ... Blog Blooper Expert ... till IPK started having so many bloopers that she couldn't keep up :D
BLE and BBE..LOL!
DeleteThanks:)
Deletehey girls (hugs to all of you)!
ReplyDeletelovely VM!!! Oh!! how I miss IPK :-(
like you say Lakshmi, its a memory that will always be with us...
I have not gotten a chance to watch ZGH, internet is too slow at home..wish I had Hum TV on tata sky!!
Abi ke liye, hooked to CC...waiting for tonight's epi! at least Sanaya decided to come back quickly...was missing her badly!
and Lakshmi...I have been hitting the refresh button of Dia's blog a lot these days :-)..so I guess, for me CC is doing that and not IPK..hehehe
ReplyDeleteHi Appy!!! I forgot to add , it started with IPK (refresh button)...still continuing...so i'm there with u. I now follow CC and ZGH.
Deletehehehe...greats minds, that's what we are..thinking alike ;-)
DeleteI follow Veera and NBT too ... but there is really not much to discuss on those shows ... everything is spelled out pretty clearly, like a story unfolding on screen.
DeleteHopefully CC will have more discussion-worthy stuff ... though it won't be about emotions, it will probably be more issue-based. Which reminds me, a new interview of Chhanchhan's dad ... will post on the CC post :)
just read it :-)
Deletefrom something i am reading:
ReplyDelete"My laugh is hushed, but strong. It takes intentional effort from both of us to keep quiet. Neither of us speak, but I hear him. My heart hears him, shush-laughing too. It's exactly what the best smile in the whole world sounds like: whisper-wrapped, breath-filled laughter, more air than sound."
can you -feel- the whole scene in that short quote?
Somebody ... Opti? please update what happened in NBT in the last two episodes? I had visitors over the weekend, so I missed Friday and Monday ... the last I saw was the precap where Guru confesses that he lied to Megha. I saw the new promo where they all three, Mohan, Megha and Nanhi are together and swearing they will find Addu. Opti, can you fill in the blanks hen you have time, please? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteVeera was very slow today ... felt like telling everyone to ffwd their dialogues! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd made me laugh ... hey bhagwan, no one is happy with their respective partners! Bansuri casting sheep's eyes at Nihal, Kartar and Bakhtawar both coveting Ratan, Gurpreet and Chaiji watching Kartar, Ratan watching Bakhtawar, Nihal watching both Kartar and Bakhtawar ... merry go round of eyelocks there!
The little Ranveera-MC scene at the beginning was very cute ... Veera stepping in to protect Ranvi from MC's wrath :))) Am glad MC did show some anger to Ranvi for running away, no one else said much to him at all!
Oh, and Ratan still pining for Sampooran ... if I was his wife, I would be getting either worried at his continued absence, or angry at his unconcern ... five years is a long time! Doesn't she even think there might be something wrong why he hasn't returned or even tried to get in touch through someone else?
Deletei watched the a about a horse race..it took more than five minutes for a 100 meter dash, so i changed the channel. have to say, i love the dialogue writer there.
Deleteuff.. too bad i cannot edit a post.. i mean, i loved the commentary of the horse racing..
DeleteJaya,
DeleteThe dialogue writer for Veera is the same who writes for Madhubala.
err.. GH?? sorry, too lazy to actually google and check.
Deleteno way. i seem to remember something about different persons' dialogues being written by different people..
No, Jaya. Raghuvir Shekawat is the dialogue for Madhubala, Veera, Diya aur Bati and Balika Vadhu. GH is the screenplya writer of MB.
DeleteYou can check this out, Jaya.
Deletehttp://www.tellychakkar.com/behind-lens/writing-about-feeling-words-and-penning-everything-comes-your-heart-dialogue-writer
thanks, opti. now i am confused, because if RS is the dialogue writer and GK is the screenplay writer, who has the final say in what the actors speak?
DeleteJaya,
DeleteI have no idea who has the final say but personally I like RK's dialogues more than I like his characterisation which although good earlier, has become quite confusing. Hence, I would prefer RS to GH since he is making even a prick like RK sound interesting.
LOL
Delete
ReplyDeletea very different take from the usual VMs.. maybe because it was made before the romance track started.. anyway, i like the feel of this story: *i hate luv stories*
I have a crazy thought.. may be kartar (accidentally!?) killed sampooran and nihal is in the town trying to find who killed sampooran? for that reason kartar did not go looking for sampooran when moti chaiji asked him to and he is so confident to moti chaiji and his wife that sampooran is not going to return. uncomfortable around nihaal about nihal's friendship with sampooran.
ReplyDeleteS
God knows ... that is a possibility ...
DeleteBut I think they need to start exposing the mystery behind Nihal Singh now, it's dragging too much. If they do show a Nihal Ratan love story, then Nihal has to say why he's here.
I had another thought when he was telling Ratan about going to Canada and getting broke there ... again, maybe he IS Amrita's brother, and he was away when she became pregnant and sick and died, and he is upset with his parents for throwing her out, and came here to get Amrita's daughter back. But he also came to take revenge against Sampooran for getting her pregnant ... only now he finds he can't take revenge, because everybody in Sampooran's family is suffering too, while Sampooran is missing.
A wild shot, I know!!!
i like this theory... a lot!
DeleteOkay, the last theory seems blown ... is that Sampooran ki asthiyan Nihak is carrying around in that potli?
DeleteRagini's VM's are AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5-3yBmoGS8&feature=em-uploademail
that was so good i'm still grinning. and now the airtel jingle is back in my head, but in a good way.

La and that little bottle of paint.. i did not see that in the first pass, but that was so cute!
gosh that gusht of wind and her reaction! sanaya you flawless thing
was i the only one who saw that he came down the stairs, then when asked to sit, he went back up again?
My first reaction when I saw this ...
DeleteSanaya Irani, you ROCK!!!! HOW she has managed to change from the goofy, silly, childish Khushi into the far more mature, sorted, confident Chhanchhan ... everything has changed - her body language, her dialogue delivery and way of talking, her expressions - from the round mouth, exaggerated O ... Chhanchhan is so much more subtle and restrained ... a beautiful, sorted young lady ... HOW I wish we could have seen Khushi mature into this kind of Mrs ASR ... chalo, chodo, koi nahin, we are seeing it in Chhanchhan!
And her reactions to the gust of wind ... just fabulous ... can feel the dhak dhak from her face, even before ASR even comes on screen. Her expressions are just superb!
Anjali was a pretty painful sister to have, I have to say ... what redeemed her in the beginning was that glimpse of mischief we kept getting, that was so sweet and normal. Later she became too sachharine sweet.
ASR ... what to say ... except that THIS is the ASR I loved ... not the grizzly bear we've been seeing lately!

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteGuess every one is busy with the Vacation Works!
IPL is eating away in to my TV time, and I am not liking it! :D
Going by the pace in this page, it looks like no one is watching TV much!
Since I am watching only QH consistently, here is a quick recap!
Last week was one of the finest weeks in QH, in terms of drama.
Beshtum besht drama was between the TWO WOMEN:
Shireen is upset that Dilshad tried to ruin Ayan’s engagement- calls her everything short of churail... (LOL)- Dilshad retorts back with, “Mujhe chhodi hui kehnewaali tum khud ek doosri aurat ho!”
Well said! And totally uncharacteristic of both Dilshad and Shireen- but when both are pushed into a corner, on account of their beloved sons, neither backs down.
Shireen always had the insecurity of Doosri aurat, since she was that, until Rashid was forced to divorce Dilshad- and in the heights of anger, Dilshad calls her exactly that!
And she does not spare her ex either!
“Ab pata chala ki aapka beta aapse itni nafrat kyun karta hai”- basically, calling him spineless in a dignified way! *Applause* Poor Dilshad! She cannot take it any more, when Shireen curses Asad. “Ek biwi chhup rah sakti hai, ek maa nahi!”- the tigress has been roused!
Asad and Zoya:
On Wednesday, Asad slipped a ring on Zoya’s finger amidst fanfare in the Airport and in the same episode, he declared to his family it was all a drama, for convincing Dhurandhar B. And Dilshad had actually encouraged him to put the ring in a fake engagement ceremony, which he had flatly refused then, so now he gets away saying “Ammi woh aap ke kehne pe...”- Basically it was your idea.
Why does Asad act like a ping pong ball?
It is the Dil Vs Dimag, like any soap hero.
His Dil tells him Zoya is happy here in India, and she does not want to go back...and he cannot breathe without seeing her (unfortunately , his Dil starts speaking up only when he is about to lose her...guess that is the rule with these heroes! :D)
And his Dimag tells him,
1) She should not stay back- esp after the Humeira engagement fiasco, that she meddles too much and therefore drags his family into the exact places he avoids. (Here for once, his dil and dimag worked together, when Dilshad brought him proof that Zoya was not playing the fool in Ayan’s house, but had gone there only to bring a smile on his face- she knew he missed not being there for Ayan.)
2)More IMPT. That he should keep a distance from her, because the tenacity of his love scares him and he does not want Zoya to be hurt by a Rashid Khan Junior, the way his Ammi was! He has seen how a perfect love story was spoilt by the fickle nature of love, and to this day his Ammi asks, “WHY?”
So when he says to Zoya on her face, “Aap mere liye sahi nahi”, deep down he whimpers, “Main aap ke liye sahi nahi hoon!”
- COMPLICATED MAN!
Zoya on the other hand has processed her feelings too, and she confronts him to come out with his, in words. She has pestered him at every turn, has read the emotions in his eyes, has shamelessly pursued him to churn the answer out of him. She knows he is a complicated man. She knows he has trouble expressing his feelings. But the repeated denials on Asad’s part, makes her wonder, ‘Is he emotionally challenged? Is it so easy for him to ignore his feelings despite the language his eyes speak? Is he emotionally challenged to the extent of switching on and off without any difficulty? Is it that simple for him?’
DeleteIf that is so easy, how far should she pursue him? How much can she force him, if he is comfortable the way she is?
Poor, CONFUSED LADKI!
And now the Cvs have left the fandom on a cliffhanger- Who will be Asad’s bride in light of Dilshad’s declaration that he will be married in ten days. “Aur aap me se koi aaye, toh mujhe achha nahi lagegaa”...loved the way Rashid winced at that dialogue!
And poor Asad! Bahut mushkil se Zoya se bachta hai...Now when his Ammi sits him down and asks him...kya tum Zoya se pyar nahi karte?...cliffhanger!
Dia,
Saw the discussions on the CC page.
Watched two epis this week...I feel Farhan is hopeless with his eyes...he moves his facial muscles pretty OK. Unless he learns to emote with his eyes, they should get a better actor. He gets the naughtiness and playfulness, the romance is lost on him. Hope he gets better.
Supriya is fantastic! I feel UB is quite a complex character...she is doing big time justice to the character, switching on and off into the various colours of Uma Ben. I like the way they promo the show during IPL. Gr8 idea! I am seeing more of CC that way! Hope it works out for them.
su!!!!!
Deletehello hi darling i was getting bored today.
yes, i caught up with QH over the weekend, and am loving the illogical plot twists a little too much. i am sure dilshad is pointing to zoya, because she gave her the dupatta and she is engaged to asad anyway.
zoya was being so smart, trying to get a confession out of asad, but the moment he asked was SHE wanted, she retreated. so they are back at square one again.
i heard that ayan left the show... at such a crucial moment in the story! (imagining barun as ayan, even though i know that will never happen)
i am loving raziya bi more than any other actor in the show.. she gets so many complex emotions..and gives them perfect portrayal!
tanveer.. suddenly feels like an obsolete character.. unless dilshad is gonna choose her today, her character is almost done. so i think billo rani does have a chance in todays choice... gah now i'm confused!
nice cliffhanger, 4L!
J,
DeleteGood! I really hoped you did not miss out on all the wonderful drama!
Raziya- no words to describe the actress.
Ayan- IF posted some YT videos of auditioning.
I am rooting 4 Kinshuk Mahajan!
The Afsar Bitiya fellow.
Tanveer- is so yawn- worthy, yaar. I wish I could at least hate her. Like you said it must be the lull before the limelight. There is one more angle someone pointed out to me- Tanveer is KMH in Nikhat- Imran too. She claimed the kid is Imran's.
Ayan- Humeira - Zoya:
Wondering if Zoya will say QNH, seeing Asad's "Woh...woh...actually"- Humeira breaks up with Ayan once she knows he was forced to marry her- Ayan woos Humeira back- Zoya works in a jealousy track for Humeiira, with herself as Ayan's love interest- works on Asad too....LOL! My imagination is working over time! (I feel now that Ayan knows how much Humeira loves him and he has almost lost her, he will want to win her back!)
BTW, The forum was in an uproar over Gul's comment recently that they are looking for an actor who looks convincing opposite Zoya- Gul has not dropped it. It only remains to be seen how she dresses it up...
can khushi handle a flirty arnav?

this one made me smile half a mile wide.. can you guys see that i am bored? come on ppl, come by, comment! what are you watching? shwethu, is it safe to watch MB yet? su, will asad manage to snag zoya this time?
DeleteJ!
DeleteMy guess is NO.
They do manage to get officially engaged though. Dilshad is a determined lady!
If they get married....sigh...and Siddiqui separates them...soooo juicy!
MB: depends...I caught one precap or something on some song...must be a dream sequence. All three were dressed up. I am sorry. I have no patience for RK at all.
Try watching Khoobsoorat in Sony. I think you'll like it.
Ha! I think this comment is not going to be read. This post has reached the 'old posts' section!
i read this post, i have it bookmarked :D
Deleteand so in QH, they cleverly moved the big reveal to the next day... do you wanna have a contest to see how many days they drag the big reveal with filler episodes?
i am addicted to a new online serial...
Fatmagülün Suçu Ne in turkish :D

shadi ya barbaadi.. perfect scene selections. do watch this one, even if you dont watch the others.
DeleteJayu Quit MB long time ago, I suggest dont even bother...
ReplyDeleteSu I am watching QH on and off...and just wish the IPK hangover was not soooooooo evident, there were loads of scenes....the past couple of episodes which just made me go Beda Gark!!!
Shyam wanting to kill Anjali with live wire, Here it is Tanveer wrt to Zoya
Asad chasing after Live wire, Arnav chasing after the Ambulance
Zoya showing off her engagement ring, Khushi showing off her bangles that Arnav got her at Payash haldi
The ring falling and rolling over at Ammi;s feet, The ring falling and rolling over at Anjali;s feet during Arnav finding out about Khushi getting engaged with Shyam
The airport proposal scene, just watched the FBs same as Arnav leaving
The circular engagement scene one at airport cum mall, the other at Mandir...
So atleast I cannot accuse 4 lions of watching IPK as I used to rant when IPK was on, ki do they even watch their own show, looks like they do and are recycling it here...
Having said that...I am watching it fairly regularly and I understand the hunt is on for Ayan....So they can always say when Ayan comes back bhai haircut karnay may itna din lag gaya, dekho haircut karnay kay baad chehra hi badal gaya, hai na.........*DUCKSSSSSSSSSS*
Waisay I am finding it thoda tough to get into Asad zoya romance not cos of IPK, but for me Surbhi somehow is not able to fully portray the yearning that she has for Asad, she does the talking, arguing scenes fairly well....and Asad ka well, KSG is good, but somehow thoda mushkil hai for me to go awwwwwwww Asad...
Today I could sense his panic when Dilshaad said, I talked to Tanveer, but the moment she said, it is Zoya, I hoped for a momentary relief on his face ki thank god, it is Zoya and not someone else, but could not see it, All I could see was Nope dont want to marry...and As much great it was to see for once a Indian telly serial mom, picking the right girl for her son.....warna we have seen far too many times, Mom says I know my son best and ends up picking the wrong girl, I cant help but ask Array baba, Zoya say toh pooch lo, if she wants to marry Asad.
Oh whatever......Sasta engagement for the lead again......4 lions bhi consistent hai na, they will spend money on random peoples functions, engagement, holi parties whatever, but when it comes to Leads, sastay may nipta lo, Have to say 4 lions are consistent
they consistently copy from their own show,
consistently mess up the production schedule to ensure they do not have any bank episodes,
Have an actor with haircut issues,
Have characters which just disappear,
care to add more, ha ha!!!!
shwethuu ((hugs))
Delete"bhai haircut karnay may itna din lag gaya, dekho haircut karnay kay baad chehra hi badal gaya, hai na." ROFL
you know, IPK copied those scenes from previous shows too, so i guess th CVs are just plain lazy. today i saw a link that showed that kuch kuch hota hai had a scene directly lifted from the titanic, so i guess sab chalta hai.
though i rofled when asad found a wire under the sofa and declared that it went into zoyas Bathroom.. not even her bedroom!
and water overflowing the tub was simply stupid. well, i am not gonna give out any logic awards to AnyOne, so who am i to judge. (p.s. he thought a wire was going into her bathroom and he ran in ... was he expecting the wire to be in her bathtub? zoya has been handling wirres many times now, why dint he think that she had made an extension for her hairdryer? or was he just waiting for an excuse to catch her in the bath and repay that six pack debt?)
have to hand it to these serial makers, though... its been along time since i saw a boy and girl fell in love and married onscreen. somebody is forced into marriage by his mom, somebody is marrying for revenge, someone is marrying one girl to make another jealous, someone is marrying because a girl got pregnant.. honestly, tellywood, take the whole mazaa out of marriage, will ya!
and the airport proposal was lifted straight from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. and you are right, KSG and SJ are not BS and SI.. but somehow, i like the emotions they bring to asad and zo. when mom decided "zoya", and said i can read your eyes, i could see his eyes dancing in happiness while his face remained blank. maybe it is my imagination, but i loved that.
and yeah.. what was that? midnight engagement? the MD of Dilshad Constructions is getting engaged, in the middle of the night with only immediate family? is this how you conduct a wedding , dilshad?(eyeroll)
Jaanay tu jaanay na, haan how did I forget that?? I still dont get the support wildlife bg score...they had crow for mami and cat for tanveer, god knows...and Su, have to say sleepy curly aunty can act...and surprisingly as much cringworthy it is to watch dadi and razia wrestling match, for a change the parallel track is reasonably interesting..so they are trying to cater to both the audience, IDIOTS, WOULD it have hurt them to do the same with Payash-Mami-Nani thingy, grrrrrrrr....*Calm down Shwets*
Deleteshwethu, plese dont remind me of the awful sidetracks they devised for payash..
Deleteps one fan recently wrote on QH forum that her dogs go crazy and never let her watch QH.. because of the constant meowing in the soundtack :D
Thanks to Mads, just found out, today is Dia's Birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Dia*Hugs*
