Sajan kiss - 1st Jan

Just can't get tired of watching the Sajan scene of 1st Jan - what a beautiful New Years gift for Sajan and MJHT fans. And when I say beautiful, I mean exactly that - it was a beautiful scene, in terms of acting, dialogues, expressions, settings, everything.

The kiss was probably THE best I've seen on tv - so completely innocent and utterly januable - Sajan just define that word. From the start, when Samrat tries to lighten up what's become a really tense and emotional moment, by saying - give me my kiss which you promised me - the smile on his face is still teasing, especially when he sees her getting all red and blushing, knowing that no one else is around, they are NOT going to be interrupted this time, so no escape ;) and she never did say 'no' to that one demand of his ... her expressions when she looks at him, then looks away are the sweetest, shyest looks ... AND he's put his hands behind his back, meaning the ball's completely in your court, I'm not going to do a thing and you'd better know it.
Then he says 'Chashmish' again - in that sexy way - he wants her kiss, he's not going to break his word, but that doesn't mean he wants or desires her any the less, and she reads that in that one word ... her barriers are already down because of the tension of the past couple of days and the way they just made up, so this time, it's shy Gunjan who just cannot stop herself - she's had a hellish two days with the problems with her sister, on top of which she hated being away from Samrat, not being able to talk to him, his treating her like a stranger, and she cannot ever go through that again ... because she just loves him too much, needs him too much. For once we see Gunjan's deep love for Samrat and her need for him, which is what makes their relationship so beautiful and so unique - they are interdependant, they are two parts of a whole, they're incomplete without each other.
And so she comes closer, and his smile dies as she comes so close, because he loves her and wants her ... he looks at her when she's barely a whisper away from him and sees how nervous she still is - nervous but determined, because she wants this too, only it's a huge, huge step for her - so he gently turns his face to let her kiss his cheek, and the smile's back on his face because she would have kissed him if he'd wanted that - and that's all he needs.
Then she steps back and looks at him - her expression is indescribable, but it's perfect ... and she hides her face in his shoulder, holding on to him again, completely and utterly happy and at peace - she's where she belongs. And he holds her again, his hand on her head in a gesture that's protective, possessive and proud - she's his completely, and he knows it, knows that one simple kiss meant the world to both of them. Did he kiss her when he buried his face in her hair??? And Gunjan's last expression just before the doorbell rang - it was an echo of the neck kiss scene - there was subtle, but very definite desire there ...an awakening of the physical part of their relationship from her side as well.
The post kiss hug was perfect - 10/10!!! Passion and purity in a unique and mindblowing blend. I get goosebumps every time I watch that scene.

EDIT: Gunjan comes to Sam's house and the first hug (edited on 7/1/10)
Sam opens the door and sees only Gunjan - his eyes never move frome hers from the moment he sees her. His face shows first surprise, then his hurt and anger is back. Then she looks at him, and her eyes show her fear, her question 'are you still angry with me, are you still not talking to me?' and the answer she sees in his eyes is a yes, so her eyes start to tear up ... no, she can't bear it any more, please Samrat ...
The others notice them, but they don't even see the others, then Suhani, thankfully for once sensitive to someone's feelings other than her own, takes a very willing Dia and Uday away and Gunjan's eyes show her pain as she looks at Samrat again ... and now, regardless of what happened, how hurt he was, he can't bear it either, because he never could see her crying and today is no exception. He tells her to come in, and she does, slowly, wondering what to say, what to do, all she wants desperately is to kill the distance between them, because she can't take it any more, she can't be away from Samrat any more, even though she knows she hurt him, even though he hurt her by not understanding why she hurt him.
So she turns and looks at him, they both look away because they both can't stand each other's pain, the distance is killing them both, then she says 'Samrat' in a voice that's breaking (shit Sanaya, HOW do you manage this voice) and that is just IT for him. He CANNOT take it, can't take her pain, her tears, especially now when he's caused them, he holds out his arms as though to say - come back, just come back to me and it will all be okay - she runs into them and she's home and safe again ... and he's complete again, holding her in his arms, cradling her against his shoulder while she cries out her pain and he holds her like a child to comfort her, and like a lover because she's his and always will be.
And she cries out, please, don't get angry with me, don't ever stop talking to me and don't, don't ever call me Gunjan again ... the last was the deepest hurt, because she's and only his Chashmish - she's Gunjan to the world, but only Samrat's Chashmish, and his calling her that makes her his, puts his claim on her, which is all she wants. She doesn't need any sagai, any ring, any engagement ... all she needs is for Samrat to call her Chashmish, and to not allow anyone else to call her that. When Nupur told Mayank, I will wear only one ring and it had better be yours if you know what's good for you, I remembered Gunjan saying this and Nups' tears and her pain faded into nothingness ... no wonder Bauji allowed Gunjan to go back to Mumbai with Samrat ... he must have seen the depth of feeling in their eyes, and its sheer purity.
This couple is magic ... and I haven't even reached the promises yet :)

  3. shit diya ... ur analysis of that scene again made me fall in LOVE wit them ... how do they manage to do it ?? how are they soo amazing ? so beautiful ?? sooo godamn pure ?? :)) m soo touched right now .. jus dunno what else to say ... they are truly amazingg ... u kno, during their sheena-friendship days, I rem someone opening up a topic in the forum ( no doubt a jealous MN fan ) that they hav been friends for so long that now I jus cant imagine them both as a couple ... u hav no idea HOW much I hav debated in tht one topic ... because she went on n on like how ther was no "passion" b/w them *rolls eyes* .. and I went on to explain that passion is not jus immense physical actons .. its something much much deeper that exist within u .. and NOW .. jus look at them .. hav they shared anything more than a hand kiss and a cute cheek on the peck ?? yet, their love is soo passionate and soo ethereal .. that u are left mesmerized by them ... looking at them right now, one cud only imagine that they cud reach what they are right now because of their beautiful bond ... their friendship, and yet, when u look at them today ... u see nothing but love in their eyes for each other! :) and hats off to sanaya and mohit for this BEAUTIFUL transformation ... during their friendship days, they enacted the platonic chemistry soo well.. and now, their chemistry has reached heights that cause us to discuss their ONE scene days n days ( and prob months and yrs even ) after that scene actually took place ...

  5. hey mads ... *hugs* ... you saw this!!! I wrote it days after the scene - can you imagine I still watch that 1st Jan scene almost every day ... it is such a beautiful scene and every time I see it, I still get goosebumps and go on analysing each and every emotion I see on their faces. Their love story is just beautiful ... and they enact it sooooo well ... you know every time I see posts by MN fans, saying that their story is crap and is made watchable only because of Arti's great acting - I feel like saying, oh yes, great acting and you still feel the scenes are crap - watching SG/monaya act, you don't feel any such thing - the crappiest scenes, the most cliched story - and they've turned it around and made it so believable and real that all MN fans also feel that their story is so good ... what do they all keep asking for? They want conversations between MN, emotional dialogues - BECAUSE SG have made conversations and dialogues so utterly beautiful and they are just completely jealous of that!!!! And when they got phone conversations, they weren't happy with those either, because they weren't enough - MN can never bring that magic into those scenes - remember SG and their ONE phone call and how we went mad over it?!
But as for the make up scene for SG - I remember the MN one at the bus stop and how I ROFLed through it all - SOOOO filmy!!! And look at the SG scene!!! There is just no comparison - for me, at least! MN were never my favorites - SG irritated me at the beginning, and SG brought me back to MJHT on Valentines day - MN made no impact either way! They're both reasonably good actors, but I just don't find any excitement in their love scenes AT ALL - I enjoy Sayank and Sanu and Gunur scenes far more than MN scenes! MN are just HAWT ... SG have chemistry!
Phew ... felt good to let that out!!!
