Didn't really watch much of the episode, tbh, it was full of crying nups ... crying is full saas bahu style ... "bauji, bauji" ... and the rest was Adharaj :(
But one dialogue of Bauji's caught my attention - don't know in what context he was saying it ... the fact that Mayank is only son of single mother, struggling financially, far from settled ... which father would agree to give his daughter to a boy like that? At the moment, that is ... Mayank has no security he can offer Nupur, and he's still studying. True, he's a brilliant student, and has great prospects, but that's in the future ... right now, he's zilch.
Counter argument of course is that what's the big hurry to get Nups married anyway - and I agree totally with that one. But if you're comparing the two guys from a parent's pov, Adhiraj with a sound family and (presumably) financial background, is by far the better prospect. Added to which, he has been behaving like a doodh se dhula bachcha in front of Bauji and Bui (did he bribe that woman?!) while Mayank has been threatening to run away with her and ignore what's right and what's wrong - seriously, Mayank, Nups has given you brain damage!
Now Samrat, on the other hand, has been such a good boy in front of Bauji ... smart too, since Bauji has the last word, not Bui! Kept quiet in front of Bauji, told Gunjan that he respected her father's decision (again in front of Bauji) and has wisely stayed out of the way till now during all this ruckus in case Bauji or Bui sees him flirting with Gunjan (as he seems to be completely incapable of stopping himself from doing that!)
So I'm completely okay with seeing SG maybe once a week in MJHT, and avoiding the rest of the KMJHT episodes completely for the rest of the week. Can drool over the last SG scene and the mega episode scenes for quite some time and pretend MJHT airs only once a week very happily :)

LOL diya .. ur para abt samrat cracked me up completely !!! haha ... made me fall in love wit him even more since fri ( if it was possible :P ) .. and I didnt even feel like I was missing something coz I didnt watch the epi .. because fri scene detailed analysis and droooling never let me miss anything !!! :P
ReplyDeleteand even m happy to accept tht MJHT airs once a week .. now jus a silent hope that the same melodrama doesnt take place for SaJan too .. but reading ur analysis, the chances seem less! however, u never know wit the CVs! :((
Mads, me too :) I missed the episode very happily because of all the ROFLing going on in the Sajan thread ... saw it in bits on the repeat - actually I was struck by the comments Bauji made on Mayank cos I'd thought something similar a while back during the Morena track - that Samrat was a much better prospect for a parent than Mayank ... hence the comparison :D
ReplyDeleteAnd after Bauji's comments on Mayank today again I feel that Bauji is going to be okay with Samrat as a groom for Gunjan, BUT he will want to meet Samrat's parents ... is that going to be the next track ... oh god, not another shaadi vaala track!!!!
But idk, more and more I get the feeling that after MN are sorted out, either they will start off on AS love story as the main track, or if trp's seriously fall, they'll have to start some problems with SG again. And I think that before Bauji signs off, he will get to know about SG love story. Actually I would quite like to see that happen and Samrat get some parental love from Bauji while Bui glowers in the background :)
