ROFL and cute scenes

7th jan

why do the most touching MN scenes make me laugh so much???? Is it because Nupur's dialogues are lifted straight from the the 70's or 80's movies??? Bangalore chalte hai, Dubai chalte hain! And Mayank says - bhagne se pehle ek baar pehle mere se baat to kar leti! I laughed out loud at that one! Sure, let's have a serious round table discussion on Running Away and Where to go! Was like the scene in JWM when geet comes to Anshuman and says I ran away to you, and he says - but I never asked you to!

AS scene with A's daadi and A's monologue after that ... seriously, does Adhiraj really expect Su to fall into his arms after that jibe?!

Second MN scene was better - more Mayankish dialogues, so Nups forgot her filmy stuff, tho' she still has very saas bahu expressions - somehow there's no innocence left in her face. For once ... actually often these days, I preferred Mayank to Nupur.

And lots of SG today - just hunting for Nupur, but like a couple - always together. Loved two dialogues - one of Samrat - yeh Chashmish jhooth bolna kab seekhegi?! and the other scene, when Gunjan is so worried and he says, main hoon na and touches her cheek gently. Liked the scene with Dia - Samrat is so mature and sensible, so is Gunjan when she says Bauji will blame Mayank when he finds out - true, Dia, didn't you guys THINK of that? Poor gunji, left to face Bui. Liked the trio scene spiriting Nups away - much needed humour, and Samrat convo with Uday-Benji-Dia
IS Suhani going to wear Nupur's lehnga and get engaged to Adhabandar?

Addendum: Trust - that's the basis of any relationship. Nupur loves Mayank, but doesn't trust him enough to let him figure a way out, partly justified because he hasn't yet told his mom, partly unjustified because he is the more sensible person except for that one disastrous ladder scene. Mayank loves Nupur, he trusts her love, but does he trust her as a person? Does he even respect her as a person? He is so much more mature that I feel theirs will always be an unequal relationship, unless Nupur shows some signs of growing up fast. All she thinks about, dreams about is love and her Prince Charming and their dream house.

Suhani thinks she loves Adhiraj but she doesn't trust him anywhere near enough to tell him the truth about Nupur and trust that he will behave like a decent human being, her distrust is perfectly justofied because he's behaving more irrationally. Adhiraj thinks he loves Suhani but doesn't trust her at all, her or her protestations of love - their love story is still so lame it's almost legless.

Gunjan and Samrat - the basis of their relationship and the reason their love is so strong is the trust between them. The only time it faltered was when they broke up - during friendship days, when he broke her trust by not telling her about the bet, and during their love story when she broke his trust by lying about Suhani. But the trust is deep enough and the relationship strong enough that they could make up. The bet part took time, but the lying part, although the bigger rift, took almost no time - almost a year down the line, the bond had grown so strong that the trust could falter briefly but never break completely, and that's what got them back together, after the initial pain was over, they both realised that there had to be a reason for that breach of trust and the moment they got together, they could heal the breach. Also their thinking levels are similar, Samrat has grown tremendously as a person over the last year, Gunjan has grown too, but less, in the sense she is very confident about Samrat, but is still underconfident in dealing with other people, though much more so than earlier. The biggest plus in Sajan is that their maturity levels are now very similar. They think alike, they deal with situations the same way, they are both level headed and calm, and they act as a team, Samrat is always the leader of the team, but Gunjan is his close second and his conscience keeper. She really is the 'woman behind the man'. They are what most people would talk about as the ideal couple, where no one would be even able to tell who was the dominant partner because they both don't dominate the other, or even try to, they just complement each other.

  1. OMGG...diya ur SaJan analysis is making me SO SO SOO crazyy abt them yaar !!! ( if anything was left to b crazy abt .. haha! :P ) true, they are definitely the 'ideal couple' that u always give an example abt !!! :)) and u kno, the best part? neither of them is totally perfect ... and they know this abt each other and they more than compensate for it too ... thats why they complete each other so much ... samrat is gunjan's confidence and she is his sensiblility and maturity ... awww, m falling for them ALL over again !!! :))

  2. I love that line of yours - samrat is gunajn's confidence and she is his sensibility and maturity - that just DEFINES them! And when you see them together onscreen, it's even hard to remember that they were for so long NOT in love ... they seem to be so completely in tune, happy and RIGHT together! I guess that's the beauty of their love story - they have always been happy to be together, just the two of them - they gave it the name friendship first, now they've given it the name 'love', but the basic fact of the matter is that they're completely happy and content when they're together - everything else is secondary.
How does a screen couple manage to make me feel this way???

  3. EXACTLY diya .. its not love..its not friendship .. its something much much more deep than that .. its the bond that they hav..this magical thread tht binds them together .. ALWAYS, no matter wherever they might end up in life..they are simply incomplete w/o each other and hence that thread wil jus pull them back together .. like true soulmates! :-)
