Bloodshed at the Border
The doli leaves for the border amidst tears of farewell ... Paro remembering Bindi every step of the way...
The border guards wait in anticipation for the kill ...
Tejawat is confident his plan has succeeded ...
The bridal party tries to get away with humble pleas, folded hands, calls to tradition ... the border guards are unmoved ... and Paro recognises her nemesis Rudra ... and the same conundrum ... protector or destroyer?
Rather sloppy search on the part of the BSD ... they didn't catch any of the guns hidden under the saddle bags? It takes a rather obvious attempt to hide the cash boxes to draw the BSD's attention.
Bloodshed at the border ... rann ki rath par rakth se rachi ... nafrat ki dastaan starts ... as a flummoxed Rudra confronts a terrified Paro ... did Rudra forget that Paro was to be the dulhan? Or did he not connect that she was the bride in this particular ill-fated wedding?
And Rudra stops in his tracks ... stops and stares ... as Paro stares back ... as time stops ... as guns explode while they stand enveloped in deafening silence ... and stare at each other ... one in shock, dawning recognition and confusion ... as he remembers a fragile terrified woman on the desert sands ... one in terrified fascinated hate ... as she faces the embodiment of her nightmares ... the living fire, the dreaded destroyer ...
And we get that haunting melody again ...
yeh bhi hai kuch aadha aadha
Woh bhi rahe adhoori
... till Paro drops to the ground in a dead faint.
Where is Varun?! After promising to protect her for seven janams, he took off and didn't come back ...
SN - one point we were raising here was addressed ... the bridal party was taking cash back, not guns. Guns were only for their own personal use.

phew..............it would have been a pity if they had done otherwise..........can we climb back on our logic ka boat-sa for rest of the serial now? For once, a PH that does not insult its' viewers' intelligence in telling a "GOOD" story! May it always remain so.

Aki, logic ka boat-sa is sailing smoothly as of now ... for how long, pata nahin!!! Keeping fingers crossed ... ST did say he's concentrating on the story and the characters, hope he sticks to that.

ReplyDeleteAwesome episode Diya. The RR team has really pulled off some amazing scenes. All actors are doing well, but a special mention for Sanaya, despite the intense scrutiny she is being subjected to, she coming out with flying colors. Barely any dialogues and yet one knows what Paro is going through in each episode. May I just add that I am glad GC did not end up as Rudra, Ashish is such revelation.

Second that opinion Uma. NT has a fabulous cast and both Sanaya and Ashish convey so much without even uttering a word.
DeleteAs an aside, did u see that Viraf has put in his papers as ML since he has an offer from BW? In hindsight, it is good that IPKKND did not work out. Here's hoping that Sanaya does not have similar experience here.
Uma, so true, Sanaya is under immense pressure here ... kudos to that girl, she delivers effortlessly ... or maybe she delivers BECAUSE she puts in all the effort and hard work required.
DeleteAnd I completely agree ... GC does not have the acting chops to pull off Rudra. Ashish is much better ... his eyes are SO expressive. With Sanaya equally expressive, their scenes are going to be a treat to watch!

DeleteAccording to a tweet by the writer of EBI, Viraf is staying back. God knows what the truth is!!! Leaving a show in four months is really not done ... even if he got a really good offer. The PHs and channels have to decide what to do in case such a thing happens, as it's happening all too frequently these days. Rajan Shahi has gone so far as to say the actors should be banned if they leave their shows halfway through ... while that is a bit extreme, I agree that audiences build up a connect with the actors and find it difficult to accept another face, so there should be some way to make the actors stay for a reasonable length of time. It is SO grossly unfair to the rest of the team which wants to continue working on the show. Fortunately for the producers of QH and EBI, since the actors have made it very clear they are the ones who want to leave, the audiences are willing to give the replacements a chance. I am saying this on the basis of the discussions on the online forums ... what happens when the replacement actually comes in, pata nahin! Raquesh V seems to be doing okay as Asad, and is being accepted by all except the die-hard KSG fans ... the rest all realise it's unfair on Surbhi and the rest of the cast that he ditched the show halfway through, and are willing to support the show with the new actor.
BS did the PHs and channels a big favour by making such a mess about his leaving, and so did SP by pulling it off ... the online audiences are very wary of making too much noise about calling back the actors for fear that their show will be pulled off!!! Now if any actor wants to leave, he will be shown the door without much ado. SP made the mistake in the first place by insisting BS stay on when he wanted to leave in February ... if they had let him go at that time, the new face might have been accepted ... the real story was just about starting at that point. And as Sanaya is showing in Rangrasiya, she could have created the chemistry with any decent actor who stepped in.
Anyway, Rangrasiya is a huge platform for her ... so all's well that ends well. Hope it does really well for her and the rest of the team!
