8/3 - Epi 204 ... Getting Down and Dirty

8th Mar Thurs

So the return of the office set meant the return of the 'get down and dirty to win at all costs' ASR ...and he succeeds - between manipulation, setting the scene, half-truths, half-lies ... and of course, Khushi's Achilles heel ...
He wants her back at RM, and he doesn't care how he does it ... hopefully after she's back, he'll start thinking about RRR ... am not giving up hope yet!

SN1 - Could he start using his brain to figure out RRR rather than only to strike back at Khushi?
SN2 - Is this a reprise of the office track, and will it end up the same way, with Arnav endangering Khushi, this time maybe through RR doing something ... before Arnav recovers his dimaag and starts acting on the real perpetrator? Or was this just a filler before Holi, and we will get to see what happens in the promo - Khushi disclosing her feelings, and that lights Arnav's dimaag ki batti ... or rather, redirects the beam in the correct direction ...

Will update more tonight if I can, otherwise tomorrow when I reach home ... let the discussions start :)

On rethinking the episode through, a few more points strike me. So first, a very quick recap :
Khushi happily returns home to GH, and Buaji Garima already resigned to her tapkoing back ... :))
Khushi starts getting worried about her shatir hubby ... hullo, I thought she had made up with DM, is she still mad at her? :)) But anyway, Khushi worried about her hubby, she knows him well, she knows he won't take her challenge lying down, and she's expecting a move from him. Sure enough, he obliges - wedding photographs for Buaji and divorce notice of Akash and Payal for Khushi ...
And Arnav calls and reminds her of the times he did what he promised ... good and bad ... And he will do the same now, unless she does what he wants ... And he wants her back home pronto.
Single minded at the moment ... Arnav Singh Raizada has one and only one goal at the moment - he wants Khushi back home. And for that his dimaag has suddenly woken up. So he pre-empts her every move.
He knows she will try to speak to Akash - he sets up the meeting to look like what he wants it to look like, and includes himself in the picture, to make sure Khushi gets only the information he wants her to get, and no more.
And Khushi reaches to meet Akash only to find a very confident Arnav also there, and Akash signing legal papers ... on Arnav's say so ... Arnav carefully butts into the conversation every time Akash looks like he might give the game away ... speaks about deals and profit loss vs emotions, and tells Akash mildly that he and Khushi can discuss whatever they need to at home ... because Khushi will be back home soon. And gets rid of Akash quickly and smoothly.
And then he tells Khushi she's not taking the challenge seriously ... meaning that he is ... he's expending all his energy and effort into getting her back home. Priority number one, two, three ... all the way up to ten. RRR doesn't figure at all here for the moment. Neither does Di, I think - it's all about Khushi. He wants her back home. And funnily, although he talks about deals, profit loss, he's not playing that with her - he's playing with what he knows works for her - emotions. 

His dimaag really needs to start working a little bit more ... emotions and relationships are all-important to her, Mr Arnav Singh Raizada ... all relationships, especially the one she considers sacred - marriage. Be it her own, or her sister's ... or his sister's ...
But he hasn't reached that point yet - he's only occupied with getting his firebrand biwi under control and back home ... baaki baad ki baad mein sochenge.

So Khushi is check-mated on this one ... she tries to call Akash, Arnav has swopped phones ... and he's back ... why didn't Khushi call his number and speak to Akash pronto? Before Arnav could tell Akash to switch his phone off, and ensure Khushi couldn't speak to Akash?
But the last exchange ... Arnav likes challenging Khushi ... he enjoys playing mind games with her, she is a worthy opponent ... and Reptilewa at the moment, doesn't seem to be doing much, except for twitching like a ferret and babysitting his wife (as Gargi so eloquently put it ... that was a fab one, Gargs =)) )
But the main point is simple - he wants her back at RM ... and he will do anything to achieve that.
And after Khushi's conversation with Payal, she does just that - go back home. Just in time.

Nani-Anjali-Mami ... some tu tu main main - will the saas bahu saga wind down? (Saw this after a very sweet SGP scene between senior MIL and DIL - what a contrast! Oh well, as long the comedy is kept to Mami et al, I don't mind, don't want it extending to the leads). And more Mami-Payal, where I liked Mami's one liner about paani ki tanki =)) ... they are keeping the saas-bahu saga pretty comical, that's the only saving grace, although it's getting tiresome ... I think Mami would actually respect Payal a little more if Payal developed a backbone ... and why isn't Shyam getting more screenspace? Isn't he well now?

Thoughts - 
Khushi called Arnav's bluff about Payal - we thought she would, we wanted her to.

But Arnav has to get her back to RM for the games to continue, to keep her under his eye - if she's not there, she can meet RRR anywhere outside RM ... and keeping her there also keeps RRR under check. So his single-mindedness about getting her back make sense ... he played dirty ... as usual.
He turned the tables on her, and bluffed her back ... now Khushi has to stay put at RM, because she thinks the divorce papers are ready to be pulled out at any point ... but she won't let her investigation rest either ...
Asking Arnav for answers hasn't done the trick ... she anyway needs to get back to RM to figure out the truth for herself, so sooner or later she would have had to eat humble pie to get back. Again, we predicted that Arnav would manage to get her back ... we predicted he would use TQ, we predicted he would make Khushi think he was making good on his divorce threat, but we thought it would be by sending Payal physically to GH. He went one better ... he made sure that not only did Khushi come back today, but she also stays put for the next some time ...

Analysing it this way makes the episode seem better ... and make some sense. Although I do hope that getting Khushi back to RM wasn't only about keeping her under his eyes, it was also about Arnav wanting her back ... full stop. And devoting all his energies and thinking powers to achieving that ... acknowledging that she is a worthy opponent and he actually had to think, to plot, to plan, to get her back.
And now that she is back, can we please see some more of his mixed emotions and turmoil, and also some suspicion regarding the truth of what Shyam said about Khushi's feelings? And can Arnav start training some of that famous 'dimaag power' on the actual villain?

7/3 - Epi 203 ... Tom and Jerry

7th Mar Wed

Ummm, how old are they again? =))

Was debating whether to title this Locking Horns ... but the sheer juvenility (is that a word?) of the exchange in the office made me change my mind.

So Arnav bitwa manages to get out of the inquisition of the 3 Deviyan ... and even earn himself some Brownie points ... as well as breathing space till the evening.
And Khushi goes home (to the GH) supremely confident that her bigda miyan will follow her ... I was actually surprised (after the SBB spoiler) that he did ... was positive he would ignore her. Forgot that when Arnav bitwa gets into a temper, he needs Khushi to vent out on ... no one else can stand up to him ... and no one can push his buttons quite the same way.
And Khushi apparently knows her miyan very well indeed ... five, four, three, two ... car engine roar ... bitiya's eyes light up in anticipation of the battle ahead ... one ... ghanti baji ...
Again, I was surprised to see him there ... I was scared it might be the Reptilewa ...
(note to self ... never watch SBS/SBB spoilers, unless of the Teri Meri kind ;) )

So now the fight is completely between Arnav and Khushi ... Buaji and Garima get polite 'namaste's' ... and nothing else, definitely not the promised explanation ... Arnav corners Khushi in the kitchen and threatens her again ... come back or else ... she says no, not unless I get answers ... and he leaves after another Payal threat. So she rushes to office to ensure Payal's safety first before she does anything else ...

And total Tom and Jerry office scene ... stretching things too much now ... followed by another prolonged Arnav-Khushi tu tu main main ... Arnav is fast losing credibility, if he has any left ...

The only thing that was established today was Khushi's new name ... and a mouthful it is too ... Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada =))
And noticed that Arnav took great delight in taking her full name right through after she first announced it ... relieved that she didn't actually mean that their marriage was broken? Or emphasizing that it wasn't, regardless of what she said?

Okay-ish episode ... methinks the fighting was dragged today ... to bring in the 2 hour challenge right at the end of the episode ...
And from the last Arnav-Akash scene, seems like our predictions here might come true - Arnav will con Akash into sending LQ to her maayka, giving Khushi the wrong impression, to trick her into coming back ... whether Khushi falls for that or not, remains to be seen ... I'm still rooting for a Shyam-Arnav scene to light up Bitwa's batti ...

Oh, and what exactly is Shyam trying to do? Make sure that Anjali remains doubtful about the strength of the ArHi marriage? Makes me feel that he will try to push Arnav's buttons when her returns home ...

And yippeee, the office is back! With new staff ... no Pam, Sim etc :))

Watched again - left with pretty much similar feelings as first watch, except that I enjoyed parts of the GH fight more.

So episode starts with Arnav surrounded by teen deviyan circling him rather like hawks circling their prey ;) ... he manages to get out of that one rather easily, though ... I sent her home because she was upset about her incomplete pag phera ... no one really does question him very much in RM, do they? No wonder he's such an autocrat! However Nani tells him to pick her up in the evening ... and apologise to the Guptas.

Khushi reaches home, full of beans, confident her plan will work ... Buaji is all heran pareshan and rude, but doesn't throw her out ... actually Khushi refuses to leave :) She assures them that they will get their answers as soon as ASR arrives.

Payash progress beyond 'ji' ... halleluiah! And the rich Raizadas only servant vanished? Payal doing the cooking?

Khushi waits confidently ... much to my surprise, her confidence was justified ... I liked the countdown ... :) And loved her expression of smug satisfaction at the door and her smile ... could see the fumes around Arnav's ears =))
How come his brain works just fine to torment her and goes dead for Shyamuu? :-/ Khushi pushed into kitchen to make tea for miyan, miyan follows her ... old habits die hard ... he's had many a private convo with her in the Gupta kitchen :)) ... while the Gupta ladies wait in the mistaken impression that he will answer their questions ... Hah!!! Has he ever answered a single question seedhe munh?
So all he does is threaten her all over again ... come home, or else  ... nope, first you spill the beans ... nope, I'm not going to, you come home quietly ... ok ... good, I'm going to office, you go ... Pick me up and take me ...
:-o  That  shiddat is still going strong??? Even Khushi has cottoned on to it - she wants more carrying scenes too :))

What?!

Yes, that's what you'll do, won't you, if I don't come? Making it clear she's not coming of her own free will ...

Stop nonsense, come home with me right now ... or else Payal ...

She calls his bluff and leaves him with nothing much left in his arsenal ... but he still holds to his threats - Akash won't even talk to you on phone if I tell him ... ah, that's where that one came from, why she was so relieved to know the reason why Akash didn't take her call ... And he leaves with one last look, leaving her furious and just slightly worried ...

Snakewa-Anjali - So RRR still thinks that Arnav sent Khushi home and made excuses to the family ... and tries to poison what passes for TQ's mind that ArHi are hiding something ...

Khushi rushes to AR office ... wow, they still have an office? Thought Aman took it over ages ago.
Seems like some CV member went to Delhi and took random shots of the sights, and they play them in the show during every long drive to tell us, yeh hai Dilli ...

Silly office scene ... security stops Khushi, ASR gave them her picture? Khushi introduces herself for the first time ... KKGSR ... ASR applauds then tells her she's lost her rights ... Khushi didn't want him to know she's meeting Akash, he doesn't want her to meet Akash ...
Khushi was defeated at that one ... she started to leave ... and he stopped her with that completely unnecessary out of the blue 'class' dialogue ... scene started to degenerate here and went downhill thereafter ... she throws water ... at her husband in front of his employees - so NOT Khushi! He stops her again from leaving ... throws a bucket back at her ... could have been the old ASR, but a business tycoon?
Must say, she looked very pretty with that wet hair and drenched clothes - the colors looked gorgeous ... and a wet angry ASR looked good ...
Clients from London shocked ... don't blame them ... the girl was an improvement on Sim/Pam though ...
Arnav actually ignores clients to stay on to exchange more words with his wife ... go home, I'll deal with you later ...
Khushi starts to retort, then to her delight, Akash appears and she quickly fires her questions at him before Arnav can say anything, much to his disgust ... his weapon gone ... she clarifies that Akash will take her phone calls too :))

And she leaves ... yet again, and he stops her, yet again ... same set as the cocktail party ... cv's, we viewers have memories like elephantwa, please change your sets!
And AGAIN he calls her KKGSR, and tells her to go home ... more tu tu main main ... more KKGSR ... and more challenge ... be home in 2 hours or else ...
And she's equally firm ... I won't go home ...
Again he stops her ... fourth time ... go home ... KKGSR, face reality ... watch it ...
We'll see ... and your new name too ...
One final look back and she's gone ... leaving him furious again ... how dare she challenge him?

Bitwa, have you forgotten ... that's what she does ... but always!

Akash tries to give him gyan on marriage, furious Arnav all but bites his head off ... he's having enough trouble with tigress biwi who refuses to be blackmailed, he doesn't want advice on his love life .. or the lack of it!

And Arnav is having a meeting with their company lawyer ... and he wants Akash's help .. what is he planning?

Thoughts - noticed that every time Khushi decided to leave, it was Arnav who stopped her ... first with that 'class' dialogue and then twice/thrice later ... was that purposely done, to show that he will taunt, prod, jibe, but will never let her go ...
Also noticed, that every single time after she gave her name as KKGSR, he made it a point to say the whole name ... and this started right after he told her she had lost all her rights because she had walked out. Again, was it a jibe, with the slight gap between the 'Gupta' and the 'Singh Raizada' ... telling her that she was still his wife, till he chose to end it, not her ... or was he actually quite happy to use the name, and remind himself that whatever the circumstances, she was his wife? Oh, he's now acknowledged it in front of his office employees too ...
Ahhhh ... *shiddat alert* ... Khushi said her name was KKGSR ... another shiddat done!!! :))) We rock!!! =D>

SN - thought Arnav was supposed to attend a meeting after sending KKGSR off? He went straight to his office, still drenched and Akash joined him. What happened to the waiting Mr Oberoi from London?

Felt that the track was side-tracked today - it became all about the T&J fight, and lost track of the main theme - which was Khushi investigating the reason for the marriage and Arnav hiding it from her ... today it was more of an ego clash ... 'go home or else' ... no, I won't, what will you do?' kind of fight, with both losing sight of what their main problem with each other was. Especially in the last Arnav-Akash scene, Arnav seemed most bothered about Khushi answering him back and throwing water, than about evading her questions ... his arrogance and ego back like the office track ... but haven't they gone way ahead from that point?  How dare she? She's done far more than that since then ... she's thrown tea at him, put sugar in his car, punctured his tyre, juice in his shoes ... heck, she's challenged him in his own home ... the sudden return of ego seemed misplaced. And Khushi's anger again seemed misplaced ... why the extreme anger, almost back to the hatred of the start ... no sign of softness in either of them ... didn't gel with where they have reached ...
And if after this they show a tender loving Holi, it's going to be strange, and very inconsistent ...

Oh well, let's wait and watch ... since SPA is apparantly on 9th Mar, maybe after that they get back on track ... today they meandered ...

6/3 - Epi 202 ... And The Challenge is On :)

6 Mar Tues

*Dia eating her words about her predictions of yesterday ... much like the burnt kheer*
So Bitwa Junior grew a spine overnight - how was I to expect that one? *sulking at prediction gone sour*

And Khushi became sherni ... now that was not unexpected at all ... :) :">  Arnav very confident, because he thinks she is guilty, throws down the gauntlet ... she picks it up equally confidently ... challenge accepted, because she knows she is innocent, besides she has nothing to lose ... she has already lost everything ...

Ooops moment - when Shyam offers to drop her home ... she has to accept, and then gets off halfway ... well done, girl! LOVED the way she threw off his hand from her shoulder so fiercely ...

And Zu's and our collective shiddat realised - smirk wiped off Bitwa's face :)))

At the end of the episode, all I could say was - what a girl!!! =D>

oh, one more shiddat done ... Arnie got new clothes! Night wear - but it's a start! :)

Will be back with much more soon ... dinner calling ... but lots to discuss tonight ...

Moaning Myrtle and Menacing Mami get ready to taste kheer, announced by an exuberant NK - khadoos mehman mami ;)  ... and as predicted, kheer is burnt ... as predicted, Mami creates chaos and Moaning M cries ...

Khushi still hell-bent on finding out the reason behind Arnav's words ... "bahut ho gaya natak" =)) ... does she mean she doesn't want any of the fake lovey dovey scenes, she wants the real thing? :">
Damn cute, the way she sneaks in, Bitwa busy with gardening ... actually, it looks as though again he's relieving his frustration on his poor plants, snipping off everything and anything with those dangerous looking shears ... Bitwa isn't so lost though, that he doesn't sense wifey creeping into the room ;)
And Khushi is a little scared when she sees those oversized shears ... 'he has a weapon' =)) ... but she summons all her strength again, no, she's going to find out the reason ... again her thoughts veer towards Shyam, because that is the only thing she has knowingly kept from him ... and biting the bullet, she steps out to face him ...
I have to talk to you ... nervous, but determined ...

He goes still ... then a vicious snip with those shears ... turns to face her, angry look ... 
Gulp, gather courage together ... folding hands, looking away, but still determined ... tell me ...
What?
How did I hurt you? What did I do that pained you?
No answer, grim-faced he turns back to his plants ...
Did he think that would shut her up?
Either you tell me, or you take your words back ...
He turns around again and those shears look even more dangerous ...
Are you threatening me?
Y ... yes ... you can take it that way ... a very trembly, unconvincing threat ... then she recovers slightly ...  tell me or withdraw your words ...
I have a third way ... I don't need to answer your questions ...
He moves away, she follows him ... tenacious as a little terrier ...
No way, buster ... you have to tell me ... did you do all this because you think that ...
Silence ... she stops suddenly ... and he goes still ... very still ...
He turns to look at her, and she's looking away, visibly uncomfortable, nervous ... is she going to admit that she ...
What? What do I think?
Barun's voice and expression was spot on here ... waiting almost hopefully ... expectantly ...
But she changes what she was going to say ... because you think I'm scared of you? I'm not scared ... you can't do anything to me or my sister ... she's married now 
(Okay, this went the way we thought it would ... Khushi realises that his hold on her has lessened with the completion of the Payash marriage).
But Arnav doesn't think so ... I can still get your sister thrown out by Mami ...
And then the kheer drama starts and Khushi rushes to check ... Arnav gives victorious smirk ...

Downstairs Mami holding forth, Moaning M crying, Akash slowly getting more and more annoyed with his mom drivelling nonsense ... Khushi tries to take the blame, but Mami won't have any ... till Akash speaks up ...
Leaving me in shock ... Devi maiyya, when did he grow his backbone?! He always had a brain, though, and he uses it - why on earth would Payal want to give you burnt kheer? True, that ... better to poison the woman, burnt kheer isn't going to do her much harm ... Mami runs away, rest of the family ditto, and Khushi apologises ...Payal says 'no problem' .. hello, making kheer was Payal's task, Khushi was helping her, not vice versa ... Akash again reaffirms his commitment to Payal ...

And that's all Khushi needs to hear ... =)) Arnav bitwa, you don't know what's going to hit you now !

Storm up, bang shut laptop, almost taking off his nose ... Whoopieee!!! Go girl!!!

I'm not scared of you, Mr Raizada ... and this time she actually looks as though she means it ;)
Everything that's happening is because of you, and I'm not going to put up with it any more! Had it with this shaadi drama, being insulted, I'm going ...

Silence again ... he looks down, away ... and he actually looks hurt ...

He looks back at her at that ... you're not going anywhere ... that much he's clear about ... he still can't let her go ...
And when I'm gone, you give them all the answers to their questions, not me, ... you left me to face them when I didn't have the answers, not any more ... face them yourself ...
He pulls her back ... Payal ...
She calls that bluff ... and he listens ... his brother grew a spine overnight? Good for Akash! And then his smirk grows ... was it because his fiesty girl was back? The one who would accept every challenge he threw at her and make it her win?Okay, so this levels the playing field.
You won't go. You don't have the guts.
Direct challenge ... how he loves challenging his girl ... has she ever refused a challenge?
We'll see.
And she stalks out, the effect spoiled slightly by bumping into the door ... but oh well ... ;)
Leaving him still smiling, watching her as she leaves ...

Next morning, bitwa wakes up to find ... Khushi has gone.

Khushi asks permission from Nani and Anjali ... he told me to go home. And adds that they should in fact, they must ask him the reason he's sending her ... but only after she has gone.
Setting up Bitwa good and proper. =)) Only Khushi can do it ... :) He really shouldn't have challenged her ... he never learns, does he?

An 'Oh Crap" moment, when Shyam offers to drop her home ... she has to accept in front of Nani and Anjali ... but her guard is very much up.

Shyam annoyed with Arnav ... don't worry about Arnav, I'm glad he sent you back home ... if he does anything to you, tell me ... I won't leave him ...
Shyam knows Khushi married Arnav under some kind of duress, she was forced ... he underestimates the feelings involved ...
and like we said, every time Shyam steps into the picture, ArHi get closer ... will the same thing happen again?

Khushi is not ready to hear a word about her husband or her marriage ... not from Creepwa ...
Stop the car ... right now ...
And don't you dare touch me ... in that fierce shaking off his hand from her shoulder ...
Your marriage may not mean anything to you, but mine means a lot to me ...
And off in an auto ... leaving him fuming again ...

And leaving Arnav to face the music ... from the three Raizada women ... boy, is the guy in a soup!
What the ... she said I sent her home??? Khushi Kumari Gupta, you are so dead!

Khushi is sure he will come after her. Is this one time that he won't?

Edited episode post after I wrote this ... I obviously suck at predictions ... but here I go again ...
So obviously there will be some misunderstanding about Shyam going to drop Khushi in Arnav's mind initially. What I'm banking on is that Shyam, when he is upset about Khushi, starts blabbing ... like he did about the jalebi-making ... and what I'm hoping is that Arnav, since he appears to have cooled down slightly, will keep quiet and listen to him.
Also was that smirk on Arnav's face his confidence that Khushi will not have the guts to leave because she has a guilty secret aka Shyam? Which she doesn't ... or at least, not in the way he thinks ...
Or was it just the thrill of the challenge - the game is on between them ... and Bitwa is always confident he will win ... till he loses ;) 

So my prediction ... Arnav cornered by the Raizada women about Khushi leaving, getting all hot and bothered that she left the blame on him and scarpered ... and the fact that she left with Shyam will add flames to the fire. So he refuses to go bring her back.

Untill Shyam returns - in my mind, there has to be an Arnav-Sham showdown, where Shyam blasts Arnav for throwing Khushi out so heartlessly, maybe adds a bit about he will always be there for Khushi in her troubled times, however cruel Arnav is to her ... Arnav stops to LISTEN for once, and his brain returns from Siberia and it clicks that although Khushi had all the time in the world to have a cozy heart to heart chat with RRR, RRR still has no clue as to what actually happened between them (Arnav and Khushi) ... and also doesn't know that Khushi has not been thrown out, but has walked out and is at perfect liberty to come back whenever she wants to.

And if we're really lucky, Bitwa has a mentos moment and wonders why Khushi didn't tell Shyam that she is the one who walked out on Arnav and not vice versa, especially if she is now secure about Payash marriage, and has nothing to fear from Arnav any more. If what Shyam said is true, Khushi should have promptly told Shyam that she has walked out and her marriage is over, she is free again and intends to stay that way, waiting for her supposed lover.

Now will Arnav go to get Khushi after that mentos moment? My guess is yes. If for no other reason except that he starts doubting Shyam's story for the first time and he decides, much like Khushi, that he needs to investigate further. First step of that being to bring her back. Will he tell the Guptas everything? My guess is no. He might tell them enough for them to forgive Khushi ... and he might get some insight into the Shyam story ... but I doubt the latter ... too soon. Maybe he will say just enough for Guptas to forgive Khushi and for Khushi to agree to come back somehow. Okay, my brain stopped working here ... or rather, it's working overtime ... am thinking of too many possibilities here! Will update the episode after watching again and then get back to discussing.

One more possibility - Buaji throws Khushi out again before Arnav reaches, he blows up because he has started getting an inkling of the truth, and Buaji and Garima tell him something about Khushi's engagement ... they may or may not mention that it was Shyam involved. But then he will have have to go nuts looking for her again ... that they've done too many times already.

5/3 - Epi 201 ... Much Ado About Kheer

5th March Mon

First gloat alert ... were we right or were we right? =))
Yes, Khushi realizes that he was doing all the natak for Anjali :)

And finally ... precap - challenge issued and accepted ...

Rest of episode was heavy on Manodrama and KBT and the kheer, which is going to be burnt ...
Liked the first scene - ahhh, good to see RRR back (never thought I'd say this =)) ) and the face-offs between him and Arnav start again ... now this is better, pick on RRR and keep the play-acting for your wife ...

So Khushi's dimaag, once kick started by jalebi-making frenzy, continues to fire ... what was that "she hurt him" all about? Could it be Shyam and her engagement?
And she has to be careful ... can't make any false moves, Anjali's pregnancy, Payal's marriage ... too much is at stake.

Anjali, Mami and RRR discover the jalebi pile, RRR lets slip about Khushi's jalebi making habit when she's stressed, Mami, as razor sharp as ever, questions aloud where Snakewa acquired this little piece of general knowledge ... TQ also remembers that she never told him this ...
And a sweating Snakewa gets reprieve from an unlikely source - a stone-faced Arnav ... I told Jijaji. Who adds for good measure, in case Shyam missed the point the first time round ... after all, Khushi is my wife ... I know everything about her. 

Am trying to figure out ... apart from the neighbourhood dogs and cats, is there anyone to whom Arnav hasn't announced in the recent past that Khushi is his wife ... in that very assured tone? For the man who announced that he wouldn't ever give Khushi the stature of his wife, he isn't doing a very good job. The only person he now really needs to say it to ... is Khushi herself ... but he needs to pick a moment when she won't bite his nose off. 

Arnav adds, as Anjali and Mami leave to watch the wedding video ... chalein ... (pregnant pause) Jijaji? Meaning ... Khushi is my wife, you're my BIL ... and never the twain shall meet .

I am so glad to see Abhaas back - Arnav now picking on Shyam and keeping the fake love for his wife. Which, now that she has cottoned on to, is not going to be a cake walk for him ... so let him enjoy his victories with the Resident Raizada Reptilewa.

A loud saas-bahu scene of the family (minus Arnav, where did he go?) watching the wedding video, and Mami complaining at her non-starring role, and stomping off in annoyance, leaving Payal (as usual) in tears, Akash (as usual silently supportive, which doesn't mean a thing) and Khushi silently upset.

Another forgettable scene of Payal trying to manao Mami and Mami informing her she was on a diet, so no thankswa ... Akash (as usual ditto above, Khushi as usual ditto above).
Whoops, correction, Khushi doesn't stay silently upset for long - she tries to do something about the situation ... and Payal seems to have forgotten she was upset with Khushi, she needs her chulbuli sister's support too much! Good to see the bubbly chirpy Khushi back in action, making her hare-brained plans ... the little touch where Khushi goes slightly teary at the reminder of Buaji showing that she still hurts, but she's back to doing what she always does - hiding her hurt ... because her sister needs her.
Interesting dialogue by Payal ... get me thrown out of here, then Sasuma will be happy ... will Khushi use that idea? Her dimaag is twisted and crazy enough ...
Operation Kheer under way ...
Mami sniffs the kheer ... send Anjali to investigate ... Anjali slightly friendlier to Khushi, asks her to keep some kheer for Arnav ...
Khushi asks, he went out ... Anjali replies, no, he's back ... and Khushi wants to ask her questions again right away ... she's not going to give up!

And the kheer is going to be burnt ... except for Arnav's share ... ;)

ArHi ... Khushi goes running to find Arnav, bumps into him ... another wardrobe malfunction :D (I think she's giving him hints she doesn't like his clothes! :)) ) And Arnav ready to blast, sees Di watching and goes into HMC mode ...
Loved Sanaya's expressions here ... disbelief, incredulous ... who are you and where has my LG gone? ... then getting all caught up and tangled as an unbelievably gentle flirty Arnav feeds first her then himself, wipes a morsel of kheer from her lip ... and utters an incredibly corny line ... the sugarless kheer tastes sweet when fed from your hands ... (duh, of course it does, she put artificial sweetener :p )... but instead of ringing alarm bells, Khushi seems to get more lost ( this girl is going to be such a pushover for him ... she has no defence against the lovey dovey Arnav) ... until she chokes ...
And Arnav forgets his act and jumps in concern ... Khushi! You okay? 
Cry Wolf ... she catches a glimpse of the watching Anjali and cottons on instantly ... the expression of hurt accusation she gives Arnav was amazing ... snapped out of her dream mode instantly ... she pushes his water away firmly and stands to face him with hurt dignity ... it's okay, you can stop acting now, Di's gone ...
It wasn't an act ... at least the last part, his concern wasn't ... he steals a guilty look up to see yes, Di's gone ... but he can't say that.
You did all this for Anjali, didn't you?
Truer words than she thinks ... he looks back at her, then looks away, just the slightest bit ashamed, but not apologetic ... yes, he did, and he would do it again, if he had to ... 
Leaving her still hurt, but determined too ... her questions are still unanswered ...

Precap - Arnav bitwa is very certain she won't leave ... Khushi is very certain that she will ... we audience are on Arnav's side here ... well, mostly ...

Shiddat Se Maango ... Wishlist for the week

Since our shiddats seem to carry a lot of weight, am making this a weekly post :)

- We're still waiting for the niharofying scenes ... maybe we'll get them after Holi :">

- Carrying wish was done with full shiddat ... at last count, three carrying scenes done ... but we're greedy - one more please, DM and cv's - carrying Khushi to bed ... in drunk state accepted ... Holi please?

- Gargi's latest two - Khushi crying, Arnav holds her tight and comforts her ... I want this one in private - just the two of them, along with a full-fledged hug, "I'll hold you tight in my arms and never let you go" type HUG ...
and Arnav breaks down over Anjali, Khushi holds him together in full view of family ...

2/3 - Epi 200 ... I Hate you ... Because You have the Power to Hurt Me

2nd Mar Fri

My title after the first half of the episode was going to be Unravelling ... the DVD coming to Mami, Anjali and Nani figuring out what really happened at the pag phera ... and Anjali realizing more and more that Arnav and Khushi are both hiding something from the family.

And then ArHi happened ... :) :) :)

I love, love, love ArHi confrontations ... these two actors just take them to a different level completely ... :">

Mandir scene - one more rite of marriage - Arnav acknowledges Khushi as his wife publicly in Devi Maiyya's mandir - the wedding carried out in the dead of night with no witnesses, now is approved and sanctioned in the same mandir in front of Devi Maiyya herself and a hundred other people ... and Khushi's bidaai takes place from her divine mother's house as Arnav declares her to be his wife, and carries her out in front of the world.Again loved the expression in Khushi's eyes as he carries her out ... again searching, searching ... looking desperately for answers ... she can't hide her despair, her hope, her sadness ... what was happening between them, and what happened ... why?!

Payash ... am liking Akash more and more - he reassures Babuji that Khushi will be accepted by his family, he will take care. Didn't like Buaji returning Khushi's shagun :( Forgave Garima slightly for giving Khushi her pag phera shagun ... although she said she would never forgive her - Garimaji, you will have to eat your words some time.

Arnav Khushi enter the house with another small spat - again Arnav reminds Khushi he doesn't want to upset Di, Khushi refusing to hold his hand ... you go girl!!! ... but gives in because she doesn't want to upset Anjali either ... and she covers for him again to Anjali ... yes, everything was all right ...

Arnav was scared as to what Khushi would say ... would she give him away, would she say anything to Anjali ... but no, she covered for him ... as usual ...and Anjali was relieved ... for the moment.
Arnav wants to talk to Khushi in their room ... call me foolish, but I went hayyeeee at that one :"> ... keeping their fights very private as always ... Manodrama's snide remark about "private talks" :)

Again loved the way Khushi closed the door so firmly ... okay, we're alone, now talk ... and I want answers ...
And again their confrontation, heated, fiery, fierce back and forth ... until she tells him ... do you even know how much you hurt me ... and he comes right back with ... and how about how much you hurt me???!!!
And Khushi goes silent ... utterly and completely baffled, shell-shocked ... what does he mean??? She???!!! ... hurt him???!!! ... when ... how ... what did she do ...???

But even revealing that much was tough for him ... he can't reveal his own vulnerability, his huge insecurity, the enormous hurt, the anguish he went through when he saw her with Shyam ... he falls silent ...
No, Khushi is not having that ... she physically blocks his way ... tiny fierce little tigress ... not this time, you don't run away ... what did I do??? How did I hurt you ... you have to tell me ...

Did I mention that I LOVE these fierce ArHi confrontations???!!! And simply loved Khushi's fearlessness ... and Arnav's passion ... both actors were fabulous!!! 

*sigh* ... Anjali, can you stop disturbing a newlywed couple - he said he wanted to talk to his wife in private ... do you not understand what that means??? Okay, Payash told you that Khushi is not yet forgiven by her family, that she and Arnav were lying ... but seriously, do you have to investigate right away???!!!

And Arnav runs away ... as usual ... from his feelings, from his wife's questions ... from facing his fears ...
Anjali questions Khushi ... Khushi admits that yes, everyone is angry with her, everyone hates her ... her parents, Payal, even Anjali ... Anjali corrects her, no, we don't hate you, but we're hurt at what you and Chotey did ... why you did it this way ...
What is Khushi to reply ... when she doesn't have the answers herself? And for once, she runs away as well ...

The CU made me change the title of this post :)) ... I changed it again to the main theme ... :)

Khushi is disturbed ... very disturbed ... and she's making jalebis =D> I was waiting for that one!!!
And as she fires, she thinks ... first her frustration and anger ... what do I reply to everyone, when I don't know the answers myself ... and the one who has the answers, won't give them ...
And then the moment we were all waiting for ... =D> bitiya ke dimaag ki batti jai ... that trip to her DM's temple was fruitful in more ways than one ...
How did I hurt him ... what did I do ...
Could he have found out about Shyamji and ...

Dia juming up and down in joy ... bitiya ki batti jali!!! :)) <:-P

Have incorporated some symbolic interpretations from Sathya's post for the first scene, which I found very apt ...
Arnav sees Khushi, Khushi sees Arnav ... in the mandir of the goddess whom he doesn't believe in, and she has forsworn very recently,  ... but still her footsteps automatically took her there when she was thrown out of her own maayka, with her pag phera rasam incomplete ... and he followed when the bell struck - this was the only place she could be ...
She entered the temple to find a refuge because she thought she had nowhere else to go ... she didn't want to attend the aarti, to pray, because she felt her friend had left her side, she was sulking, she had no intention of re-approaching her ... he of course, never entered with the intent of going anywhere near DM ... he entered the temple only to find his Khushi.
And in their game of hide and seek, both went closer and closer to the Mother ... till they were standing at her feet ... and DM had the last laugh ... you said you would not come to me, and yet here you are, both of you ...
 - never again, Arnav, make the claim that you write your destiny, because DM just showed you very comprehensively that you don't ...
 - and never again, Khushi, tell your Mother that you won't talk to her because she left your side, because she didn't, and she's just about to prove it to you ...

So Arnav calls out furiously to Khushi, what are you trying to do, come home with me right now ... she tries to ignore him, and he loses it and shouts ... creating pin-drop silence all round ... oops, did he just do that? Shout out to his wife in the middle of a temple ... all eyes on him ... on them ... Well, he can never stand it if she ignores him ...
What the hell do you think you're doing?!
One brave bystander interjects, Arnav tells him that it's their personal matter, butt out!

And that's enough to raise her temper ...
Don't talk to me like that in front of everyone! And what are you even doing here?
He's mad, he just went nuts looking for her all over town, and as usual she's hale and hearty, and fighting fit ... how many times does this make it that she disappeared on him and didn't answer his calls, worried him to pieces and then reappeared without a scratch?
Stop this drama and go sit in the car!
No, I won't!  I'm not going anywhere with you ... I'm mad and upset, and you'd better know it ... wifespeak again ... :))
Hubby loses his temper ... oh, he never found it since it went missing ... Khushi, listen to me or else ...
Or else what?! What will you do? Pick me up and carry me out?!
That was a direct challenge, and ODB never turns down a direct challenge, especially not from ODG.
Khushi, I can do that too ... and you know it ... 
Oh yes, she does, maybe subconsciously that's why she issued it ... ;) ... and hang on, did he just acknowledge that she knows him well enough ...

Khushi, I'm warning you  ... don't push my buttons ... now when did she ever not do that? So he grabs her hand as the first step, and she fights him off ... but of course ...
Leave me ...
Innocent bystander decides to risk his neck again ... don't manhandle the girl, that's not nice ...

Pat comes the answer, without even thinking about it ... You stop interfering, this is my wife and I'm taking her home with me ... you have a problem with that? Anybody want to try stopping me?
Khushi stops struggling and stares ... DM gives a big satisfied chuckle ... =)) Mission accomplished.

Barely two nights ago (in IPK Narnia land) he married her in the middle of the night, DM their only witness, and told her he would never acknowledge her status or her rights as his wife ... today, in front of a multitude of witnesses he did both ... she belongs to me, and I'm taking her home. 
She came to DM's mandir feeling completely lost ... homeless and alone ... she leaves with her husband, going to their home, acknowledged in the eyes of the world as his lawful wedded wife ...

And just in case she thought he forgot her challenge, he picks her up in his arms and walks down the temple steps with her ... her bidaai from her mother's house, and her grihapravesh into her husband's ... the car is almost their home, seeing the number of very private ArHi moments it has seen ...
And Khushi stares at him as he walks ... her eyes filling, all fight gone ... she is his wife, she belongs to him ... she finally belongs, she has a place of her own ...
But under what circumstances ... where they were and where they are now, so much has happened, and she doesn't even understand the reasons why ...
Loved the look he gave her as he picked her up ... I can do this, you are mine ... I have the right ...
And hers as he walked ... yes, you have, I never denied that ... but why this way ... does it have to be this way?

And the pause at the end of the steps ... she wipes her tears, still questioning him with her eyes, then looking down and holding him again ... I wanted this always, but why this way ...?
You are mine, that's all that matters ...

We wanted him to carry her over the threshold - at latest count, he's carried her over the threshold of his house, his room, from her divine maayka into his car ...

Khushi recovers her fight in the car, Arnav has had enough ... stop the drama, you know I don't like it.
Again - you know ... again acknowledging that he knows she knows him ... knows a lot about him ... she's his wife, after all ...
And he should know her well enough to know that shutting her up isn't so easy ...
Yeah? What about the drama you did in carrying me out in front of everyone ...?
He finally shuts her up ... don't say another word till we reach home now ... Mulishly, sulking, she complies ...
And wear your seatbelt ... hubby talk again ... wifey now on silent treatment ... slowly, slowly crawling back to their old equation of fighting, squabbling, sulking ... the familiarity, the sense of belonging ...

In between was Payash - Akash assures Babuji that R's will accept Khushi, he knows Babuji is most concerned about her ... the shaadi ka DVD appears ... and Garima gives a shagun for Khushi after all.


Back home at RM, Arnav waits impatiently for a still sulking Khushi at the front door ...
What?! You want to carry me over the threshold again now?
His eyes said he wouldn't mind ... but he just reached for her hand instead ... but Khushi still sulking, withdraws it silently ... nope, you don't hold my hand just like that, buster ... 
Of course he's not going to like that, so he grabs it anyway ... of course she fights him off ... till he explains ...hold my hand, I want Di to think everything went off well at your house, otherwise she'll get worried ...
She stops struggling, but still fires back ... so you want me to lie?
He shoots a salvo back which confuses her again, enough to keep her quiet as he rings the bell and stands hand in hand ... shouldn't be difficult for you, it's a habit ... 
And as she stands baffled, he gets breathing space ...

Mami's two oneliners ... Arnav bitwa and exstra bahurani ...
guttrar goon ... love birds ...

Anjali starts to cross question Khushi about her visit home ... Arnav tense, not happy at Mami's taunts, ready to step in at Anjali's questions ... but Khushi does the needful ... it went off fine, Anjaliji ...
Not convinced, Anjali is ready to ask more ... Arnav steps in to save her from further grilling.
Khushi, come upstairs, I need to talk to you ...
(hayeee ... Sadda HAQ ... :">  Methinks Arnav bitwa is very soon going to appreciate this marriage business if it means he can speak to Khushi in private at any time, whenever he wants, without sundry family members wondering or questioning ... and always assuming tigress wifey permits him to get away with such behaviour, of course :) )

Anjali still doleful ... well, at least the rasam got done, ... even if I still don't know what's going on ...

Khushi has gotten into the wife act very fast - enter room, shut door firmly ... this is MY room, OUR room ... now talk, Mr. Raizada ... I'm listening ... can't promise that for too long ...
And the Arhi confrntation  ... :"> :"> :">
His first gripe, and major one - answer the phone when I call you ... and don't disappear on me again ... I won't come crazily looking for you every time ...
Like I just did ... the last few times ...
Told you she wouldn't listen quietly for too long ... some do's and don'ts from her side fired right back ...
And you don't hold my hand like that, and don't shout at me in front of everyone like that ... and oh yes, I didn't take your call because I didn't want to  ... savvy? I didn't want to talk to you, I didn't want to come back here with you ...

In the meantime, Payash return home, and tell Anjali and Nani what really happened at GH with Khushi ... Payal won a few more Brownie points by showing her relief that Khushi was back home safely ...

Back to ArHi ... Arnav gets his turn to talk ... 'What you want doesn't matter ... I want that our family doesn't get to know the truth, so we will play this drama out ...'
'Why?! Why should we?! Why should things happen always the way you want? Me, me, me ... always about you and what you want ... have you ever thought about what I want? What I feel? How much what you say, what you do hurts me ...'
What she wants? What she feels? That's what's been eating him up all along ... that's what's been tormenting him for so many days ...
'And what about the hurt you gave me?!!!'

And it's out ... finally ... out in the open between them ... he was hurt ... deeply, painfully, piercingly hurt ... by her ...
And Khushi stops in her tracks ... shocked ... stunned speechless ... as he stares at her, gripping her tightly but neither of them even notice that ... as they stare at each other, at the truth flaming between them ...
You have the power to hurt me like nobody else can ... you hurt me, dammit ...

A soft, breathy 'kya ...' barely audible through her shock ... what did I do?!!!
And the sound recalls him to his senses, what he just almost admitted ... again he was unmasked, vulnerable and exposed in front of her ... he leaves her and moves away as quickly as he can, not meeting her eyes ... was it the first time he admitted it to himself as well? That everything he did with Khushi was not because she could have hurt his Di ... it was because she hurt him ...

Khushi struggling, desperately trying to make sense of this shattering new disclosure ... what did I do that hurt you so much?! 

What is he to answer? You broke my heart? You loved another man? No, he's not ready to confess his love yet ... not by a long way ... silence again his only defence.
But she's not letting up ... when did I hurt you? What was it I did that ... Tell me!!!
He can't ... he has to leave right away ... but she stops him, arms outstretched ... no, you don't! Not till you tell me ... you don't leave this way ... not till you tell me what you're accusing me of ... 

Saved by the bell ... or the knock ... Anjali, the ever-loving, ever-interfering ever-present Di ... and Arnav gets his reprieve ...

Why did Anjali have to come right now? After Arnav said very clearly he wanted to talk to his wife alone? x(
*shiddat alert* - I want a scene where Anjali comes interfering, Arnav tells her to get lost because he's having a private conversation with his wife ... and shuts the door in her face ... if she does this when they're making out, it will be even better ... :))

Anjali tells Khushi mournfully that she knows what happened at GH, of course Khushi is upset ... really, Anjali? And you're here to do what exactly? Rub it in? And add that even you are upset, as upset as Khushi's parents and sister ... because Khushi and Arnav made a mistake and won't tell anyone why ...
Not quite sure what Anjali accomplished except to be KMH and upset Khushi further ...

Anjali's holier-than-thou attitude, her need to know everything and her conviction that she can fix everything better than anyone else, is starting to get to me ... as is her dependence and her fixation with her Chotey's life ...

So Jalebi Bai emerges after a long, long gap ... Khushi put up with all the taunts, the insults, the heartbreak ... but what her going was the fact that somehow, she doesn't know how, when or where ... she hurt Arnav ...
Or does she ... ? The only secret she is hiding from him ... could it be that?

Ghanti baji ... batti jalli ... she may not arrive at the right conclusion immediately ... but she's on the right track ... and once Khushi is on the right track, and DM has given the green signal ... it's all systems go ...

1/3 - Epi 199 ... Ghanti Baji ... Or ... For Whom the Bells Toll

Better than I expected ... I thought today would be full of Gupta drama, but fortunately not :)
Liked the way it started, with Khushi's flashbacks of how she left her home that night, never dreaming so much would happen to change her life ... and being disowned ...
The Guptas' neighbours seem to be classier than the Raizadas' neighbours ... they politely enquired about her wedding, remarked without malice at the suddenness, and wished her well before leaving. Happyji was sweet!!!

Gupta melodrama was expected ... I like small subtle touches in this show which make it realistic - Garima's face showed her initial happiness, before the anger re-emerged, she let Khushi enter, and then shut the door so that nosy neighbours would not overhear. I remember even during the break of Payal's first wedding, she did the same - first asked Khushi if she was all right, then took her inside so that the scolding would be in private. A small touch, but it makes a difference.
Of course Buaji and Garima couldn't forgive Khushi ... liked the way Khushi started off all spirited ... you thought because I got late, you would leave me? ... and then getting steadily more and more hurt ... her tears as she knelt in front of Babuji, the one person who hasn't turned his back on her ... okay, Payal was added to the list today ... but Garima and Buaji, unforgiving, threw her out.
As we guessed, Khushi pretended to call Arnav, and left ... still keeping his 'maan' in her maayka by telling the Guptas subtly through the phone call that yes, her husband is with her in this. Trying to lessen their feeling of guilt that they're not throwing her out on the street? And she leaves, takes one last look back at her family ... and shuts the door behind her. There's no going back now, if ever she thought there was.

Payal redeemed herself more by calling Arnav to ask if Khushi has reached all right ... so she let Arnav know that Khushi left an hour ago, didn't eat anything, was scolded by Buaji and Garima and was upset, and the family thinks he's picked her up so she's safe ... all in one breath without pausing much ... I think Payal was scared she would lose the courage to talk if she stopped even once ...
Arnav bitwa already unable to concentrate on work before the call, is even more anxious after it ... and gets ready to go find his missing biwi ... but he can't show his anxiety because his sister reappears again, asking about Khushi ...

Anjali seriously needs to stop shadowing her brother and get her own life! Maybe if she did, her husband would stop looking elsewhere!

And the hunt starts ... Delhi Darshan as Arnav reaches Khushi's house, calling her phone all the while, why is she not picking up ... asks Happy, asks the chudivala, asks the chanavala ... he sure knows the right people to ask ... gets a clue and takes off again ... this girl will drive me mad ...
Arnav bitwa, you're already mad, just admit it now.
And Khushi can't stay khafa with her best friend for too long, besides the poor girl has literally nowhere else to go ..
