Sanaya in Bigg Boss and in GPA

Bigg Boss 7
Sanaya and Ashish performed in the grand finale of Bigg Boss ... the performance was breath-taking, especially the part where Ashish twirled Sanaya holding ONLY onto her jaw ... how did they ever do it?! My heart was in my mouth watching that part!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3fSrPNGDgY

A facebook link ... very good HD
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=592666574131813

The dance gave a brief glimpse of what the Paro-Rudra interaction is going to be like ... intense!!!!

Followed by some hilarious Sanaya- Salman Khan interactions ... she told him she talks a lot, he promptly replied, "I can believe it!" She also repeated her now favorite line, 'Ashish speaks only 50 words a day, I've booked 40 of them.'

If anyone can get a better quality link, please post!

Colors Golden Petal Awards
Dance with three other Colors heroines on Nagada sang dhol baaje ... Sanaya danced beautifully and looked gorgeous in white ... very fast dance, all the girls were good, though my eyes were fixed on Sanaya! Her smile just lights up the screen!

  1. More articles on Sanaya, Ashish and Rangrasiya ... it's not just a torrent, it's a downpour, I can't keep up!

    Meet TV's new Army man

Ashish Sharma is very upbeat about making a comeback with Rang Rasiya on Colors. The promos have been on air for a while now and there are huge expectations from the show since it will air in the time slot of Bigg Boss. A pleased Ashish says, "I think that's an advantage because I'd expect that the Bigg Boss audience largely would watch our show. My friends and family are elated because the promo is eye-catching. The countdown has begun."

For Ashish, shooting in Rajasthan was a welcome change since that is also his home state. However, he did have to face a few challenges as well. He says, "Coming from Rajasthan, I knew the local language, so communication was easy. The weather used to be extremely cold in the morning and burning hot during the day. We were shooting in the desert and by the end of the schedule I was not keeping too well. But overall it was a memorable experience."

The actor, who is working with co-star Sanaya Irani for the first time, affectionately describes her as "completely mad". Ashish says, "We didn't know each other when we began shooting. I'm a reserved kind of person while she likes to talk a lot. She keeps saying that if we say 50 words a day, 40 of them would be hers." Ashish plays an Army man in the show and admits that he had to learn the nuances of an army man to perfect the role. He says, "I had to get the psyche of my character Rudra right. He has a certain angst on his face all the time. I had to adapt to his thought process. The army salute is different from the Navy and Air Force, which I had to perfect. I also learnt to walk like a soldier. I had to work on the character for a month before the actual shooting started."

The Rajasthan schedule is now over and the team is back in Mumbai, Ashish admits that he hasn't been able to spend enough time with wife Archana Taide of late. Incidentally, Archana's show Qubool Hai and Ashish's Rang Rasiya will be airing at the same time slot, just like Sanaya and her beau Mohit Sehgal who is also part of Qubool Hai. Ashish says with a smile, "Right now me and Archana are competing with each other and she ensures that I watch her show." Speaking more about his ladylove, Ashish reveals, "She is a romantic at heart. Once she planned a trip for us to Goa for which she took leave from my production house and I didn't even know about it. It was only at the last minute that I came to know that my leave was approved." Ashish continues, "Whenever I get some free time, I like to spend it at home, with my wife and our two pet dogs. Ours was not a typical love story. We started out as friends. The friendship became more intense over the years and then we decided to take the plunge."

  3. Colors' Rang Rasiya Is A Hit

    Rang Rasiya

There is less than a week left before the official debut of Rang Rasiya on Colors TV, however, it has generated so much buzz around the show ever since talks were going around that Sanaya Irani had bagged the female lead in the show. The male lead is played by Ashish Sharma.

The buzz is getting even stronger with the release of the third promo video. The video shows Paro (Sanaya) in bridal attire leaving her family and going with her in laws. They are stopped by police and they find illegal weapons in a trunk. After that, guns are drawn and fired. They show Rudra (Ashish) shooting Paro's husband and a shocked Paro screams.

All three promo videos have left the impression of film trailers. They have an authentic big screen feel to them and definitely leave the viewers wanting for more. It is set in Birpur (shot in Jaisalmer and the dunes of Jodhpur), a tiny village that celebrates grand weddings between borders every year. The show revolves around the wedding of Paro that ends up being gate crashed by the Border Security Force, which is led by Rudro. Rudro ends up killing Paro's husband and forever changing her life.

It is said that Rang Rasiya is inspired by William Shakespeaere's Othello. There is going to be a love story, but one that's filled with the same amount of hate as passion. Sanaya's popular show, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon was also a hate cum love story. Whether or not, Rang Rasiya will have the same craze that Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon had is left to be seen.

Rang Rasiya is produced by Nautanki Films. They are currently also producing another show for Colors, Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. With Madhubala being one of the most cult show on television and being the brand serial for Colors, hopes are already rising high for Rang Rasiya. The two best friends, Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami, also now would be working under the banner of the same production house and same channel after the inception of this new show.

Rang Rasiya is set to start after Bigg Boss ends on December 30th at 9:30 PM IST.

  4. Archana Taide 'dislikes' Ashish Sharma's new look in Colors' Rangrasiya
    5 min ago | TellychakkarTeam

Actor Ashish Sharma usually loves to experiment with his looks when he takes up any new show. In fact, the dedicated actor will not shy away from doing the impossible for a particular role.

Now that Ashish is bustling with energy to be seen as the protagonist Rudra in Colors' upcoming show Rangrasiya, he has once again gotten into a new look.
Well, Ashish has grown a moustache for this stern character that he plays. And the news from the sets is that this new look of Ashish has been well-appreciated. In fact, there are his fans, especially girls who are already going ga-ga about it.

However, there is one person who completely dislikes this new look of Ashish. And that happens to be his wife,Archana Taide.

Aww, what a situation to be in for Ashish!!!
Apparently, Archana does not like this new look of his, but the poor wife has to support him when it comes to his dedication to work. And this is not the first time that Archana has been at the receiving end. When Ashish was busy with Rab Se Sohna Isshq, he all of a sudden decided to cut his hair as that particular character demanded it at that point of time. And Archana who actually loved the long-hair look of Ashish had to forego her liking, to support him.

When we asked Archana about this, she said, "Yes, it is true. I don't like guys with moustache. But now I have to live with it till
Rangrasiya goes on. But when it comes to my husband's work, he gets my full support. Having said this, it is so difficult to get close to him (blushes); I simply hate his moustache. On the positive side, I am happy that he keeps experimenting with his looks. I am also glad that viewers have started to like his new look."

Ashish, you look stunning in your new look. As for Archana, there is no gain without pain!!!

  6. Colors explores shades of love with, 'Beintehaan' and 'Rangrasiya'
Two new shows all set to kick start which will occupy the time slot post reality show Bigg Boss Saath 7 from 30th December 2013 onwards.

As Bigg Boss reaches its much-awaited Grand Finale, COLORS aims to strengthen and add diversity to its existing fiction line-up with the launch of two new shows, Beintehaa andRangrasiya starting 30th December, 2013. Themed as avant-garde stories exploring the edgy and passionate flavours of love, both shows promise to captivate the audience with riveting storylines and relatable characters who love to hate and hate to love. With Beintehaa at 9 PM, Colors for the first time will be focusing on the pan-Muslim milieu with a story of two similar and headstrong individuals Aaliya and Zain, who are tied in a volatile relationship. On the other hand Rangrasiya at 9.30 PM will showcase a more explosive and edgy intense hate story between Paro and Rudra.

Speaking about the two new shows, Prashant Bhatt, Weekday Programming Head - Colors, said, "For the first time ever on COLORS - with Beintehaa, we have a show with a pan-Muslim milieu that adds another shade to our colorful palette. Likewise Rangrasiya is a love story that resonates with the sound of guns but with the promise of roses. With the launch of these two shows, we look forward to add diversity to our strong fiction line-up as we decode the various aspects of love, while bringing to fore unconventional stories that will change the way audiences perceive love."

We have often heard of love stories born out of an accidental meeting or at the first glimpse. However, Beintehaa, breaking traditions, brings to fore a deep love that comes to the fore only after the relationship is over. The storyline portrays Aaliya (Preetika Rao), a traditional Bhopal girl, and Zain (Harshad Arora), a modern Mumbai lad, who are like-minded headstrong people with similar likes and dislikes. As their worlds collide, Aaliya and Zain find themselves bound in a marriage born out of obligation where the only common feeling is hate. To build authenticity while showcasing Bhopal as the melting pot of cultures, Beintehaa has been shot extensively across multiple scenic locales including the Hamid Manzil, Bhopal Lake and Gohar Mahal to name a few.

Speaking about her small screen debut, Preetika Rao aka Aaliya said, "Having done films down South, television was a relatively new playing field for me. The story and concept of Beintehaa is what drew me to the show and I found myself accepting it almost instantaneously. Aaliya is a spunky Muslim girl who is fairly religious, but is full of life. I hope the audiences will enjoy the sincerity with which we have performed and appreciate this venture that we have undertaken."

Commenting on his role, Harshad Arora aka Zain said, "Zain is a man of today. He has a very contemporary and modern outlook towards life because he has grown up in Mumbai and studied in London. He has a constant tussle with Aaliya because they are very similar in terms of their likes and dislikes but he is quite impulsive. I love the storyline of Beintehaa and I hope viewers enjoy watching the show as much as we have while working on it."

    1. Rangrasiya is an edgy love story ignited by intense hatred and fuelled by circumstances that bring a simple village girl, Paro (Sanaya Irani) and army officer, Rudra (Ashish Sharma) together. For Rudra, love is need-based, beauty is deceit, and work is duty and for Paro, love is hope, beauty is extreme and duty is vengeance. The show has been shot extensively across arid terrains and rann of Jaisalmer and dunes of Jodhpur. The story is set in Birpur, a small village that witnesses a grand wedding celebration between borders once every year. One such wedding is that of Paro that is gatecrashed by the BSD, led by Rudra to investigate the illegal smuggling of arms and ammunition. However as fate would have it, this incident shatters Paro's life leading to an unexpected turn of events.

Speaking about her newest venture on television, Sanaya Irani aka Paro said, "I took upRangrasiya as a challenge because I was eager to experiment with my character as Paro; and it wasn't really easy portraying her. Walking barefoot in the scorching desert gave me blisters on the soles of my feet, but that did not deter me in any way. The excitement to do something different enabled me to move on. I am thoroughly enjoying every moment while shooting forRangrasiya and I hope that my fans will take delight as I reprise the role of Paro."

Commenting on his role, Ashish Sharma aka Rudra said, "For portraying the character of Rudra, my keyword was intense. Everything I did, even in my day-to-day life incorporated that sentiment. Rudra is a rebel in every aspect of the word. With my portrayal of Rudra, I hope to find the love of audiences through the despise they feel for my character. That will be my ultimate win!"

Stay tuned in to Colors as they unfurl two unconventional love stories starting 30th December, 2013 at 9PM and 9:30PM respectively

  7. "At the end of the day, Rangrasiya will tell that love overpowers all evil" Prashant Bhatt

Rangrasiya which has created a buzz ever since the promos went on air, is touted to be an intense ‘guns and roses’ love story. Prashant Bhatt, Weekday Programming Head, Colors talks about the making of the show.

Rangraisya, produced by Saurabh Tiwari & Abhinav Shukla's Nautanki Films who also have the popular Madhubala - Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon on Colors is all set to launch next week. One of the most anticipated show as the year comes to an end, the show at prime time is all about an intense love story with characters who have dark shades.

With its Rajasthani background, the show had an apt launch last week in Jaipur with a skit by the main leads Ashish Sharma & Sanaya Irani which again highlighted the background of the story and the love hate relationship that the lead pair have in the show.

Fighting the Jaipur winter chill, Prashant Bhatt, Weekday Programming Head, Colors spoke about the making of the show and also tells us about the message the show will convey.

Rangrasiya comes across as a very strong, complex love story... a first for Colors.

Yes, and it has happened on the condition that it has to be complex. There is an easier way out or then there is a complex way which if successful is far more gratifying for the makers. This is the first time that we at Colors are doing something new, something different again since the last time we did something like this it was because of Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

So was it the positive response to an intense love story Madhubala that prompted the making of Rangrasiya?

In a way yes, since the kind of response we got for Madhubala and the way it has resonated with the audience it gave us the confidence that people out there were hungry for different kind of a show and content when it comes to entertainment. We realized that our TV audience out over there were craving for something different whereas it is actually the same old story told in a newer and different way.

How did the concept of Rangrasiya come through?

Rangrasiya actually stemmed out of a thought that let's do an aggressive, passionate, romantic love story that starts with hatred itself. We wanted to put it on a canvas that is rustic and complex and out of our comfort zone. It is a lifestyle that is not very common as such and we wanted to put it together and gauge the response. At this point of time we were also contemplating Othello and we thought that it goes very well with the DNA of the show that we were planning so we decided to do an adaptation within the limit of Othello and that is how Rangrasiya came out.

    1. Many characters in the show seem to be completely black. Why so?

No, Rangrasiya doesn't have all black characters. They are all grey. In today's time we rarely come across somebody who is completely black or completely white. Everyone has shades of grey but the depth and intensity of greyness varies from person to person. The attitude and behavior of any person depends on the baggage of the past, upbringing, situation one is put in so we had to think a lot before writing. We thus started preparing and writing the show 6 months back which was something new and different on TV since here they decide today, shoot tomorrow. So we were asked why were we getting ready 6 months in advance but I guess it work to our advantage.

Rarely do we see that the main lead is an out and out negative character. Don't you think it is a risk?

We believe that maintaining a balance between good and the bad is important so if Rudra (Ashish Sharma) comes across as a bad guy he has his justifications as to why he is doing what he is doing because according to him his loyalties do not lie with anyone else but to his matrubhoomi alone due to the oath he has taken as an Army Officer.
Thus when Rudra is going to take a certain step or behave in a certain manner with Parvati (Sanaya Irani), a lay man or a civilian may feel it is harsh. They may think has he gone made, how can he be so cruel, so rude but according to his point of view he is completely right since he has devoted his life to the oath that he has taken for the Armed Forces. That is the balance that we have to maintain and give justification for relations. At the same time we also wanted to show that no one is totally black or totally white. At the end of the day if the audience feel that what Rudra did is right and he should have acted this way only then we have got it right!

It sure must have been a challenge to the writers.

Yes, the show is going to be a challenge to the writers as well since it is far away from the regular kitchen politics, far away from the boy meets girl story! Since it is a complex story using the 1st thought that comes to mind is discarded immediately. I guess the word multi-layered comes from there since we have had to really brainstorm on the content.

What message does the show which is a love story which starts with hatred give away?

Visually it may look very hard-hitting, grey, dark but it is not as negative as it seems to be. At the end of the day this show will tell that love overpowers all evil. Pyaar jo hai har burai ko maarta hai and love conquers all so we gave the example that even in a desert a cactus can flower.
