  1. Wow!

She is gorgeous...and looks pretty serious! Hope this is good. Anyway, Sanaya will be a treat to watch.

  2. She is looking STUNNING and this avataar is absolutely different from what Sanaya has done so far- very rural and rustic. Her expression also indicates it is very different from the chirpy, happy-go-lucky characters she has enacted.

Hope the story, script and acting keeps us all enthralled. They have a successful writer, Raghuvir Shekhawat, in the team and he seems quite well versed with the milieu and mores of Rajasthan, maybe even GH, though that is not confirmed yet.

Diya, from the tweets of Ashish he seems to be a well rounded guy who has good command over Hindi, interested in literature and enjoys and takes his work seriously.

Keeping fingers crossed that this show clicks with the audience for Sanaya's sake and everyone in the RR team.

Today another show was announced by TB for the 9:30 slot which is in the comedy genre. The competition is pretty tough, also there are already two Rajasthan based shows in that slot Tumhari Pakhi and isn't YRKKH also about a Rajasthani family?

    1. Uma, I totally agree, San is looking STUNNING!!! And completely different from anything she has done earlier. I think she's now confident enough to step out of her urban comfort zone and try this ... if Gunjan was a complete opposite in terms of personality to Sanaya, this new role is a complete opposite in terms of background, Sanaya, a sophisticated South Mumbai English educated girl, playing a rural Rajasthani girl ... the state is probably the most backward in terms of women's status. This will be her biggest challenge yet ... again Sanaya goes out of her comfort zone and challenges herself to do something very different from what she has done before.

In that sense, Chhanchhan was no challenge for her in terms of acting skills ... she had to basically play herself.

This seems to be a serious role ... not the happy go lucky girl she played in IPK and CC. Gunjan was serious too, but Gunjan was a educated girl. So it's different from anything she has played before.

I'm also happy to see RS in the writing team ... he's an excellent dialogue writer. Not so sure about romance though, so I hope GH comes on board as well ... his last tweet seems to indicate he will be there.

Agree with you about Ashish ... he seems to be well grounded and very experienced in all fields of TV - acting, production .. apparently he even directed his own action sequences in one of his shows. He seems to be very serious about his work, and since Sanaya is also very serious about her work, I think they will make a good team. I really hope so ... in retrospect I feel Barun always looked at TV as only a stepping stone to BW, and the first chance he got, he jumped ship ... Ashish seems to be very grounded and dedicated to TV as a medium, and he respects it too. Sanaya is equally grounded, she likes TV, she wants to stay here, and she wants to do quality work ... so both have that in common.

What new show has been announced for 9.30 slot? I missed that announcement. 9.30 is a tough slot ... there is YRKKH on SP, Qabool Hai on Zee, Jee Le Zara on Sony (TRPs of that have gone down though), and now Tumhari Pakhi on LifeOk. The start of TP was good, it's very bright and colorful, Iqbal Khan is good, Shraddha is okay ... now remains to be seen if they can sustain it. No idea if YRKKH is about a Rajasthani family ... that show was good when it started, now it is boring!!!! I hope they wind it up soon, it's been on for years!

So four shows already which are doing well, let's see if RR can hold its own, or hopefully surpass them.

  5. AWESOME promo!! Sanaya and Ashish are really good, the picturization, cinematography, music and VO are all so good. Kudos to Team Rang Rasiya, they have done superbly. Wishing them lots of success as they begin shooting today.

If the Team keeps it's creativity at the same level as the first promo, then this show has a good chance of doing very well.

The promo leaves you curious and wanting to know more, at the same time it is intense and poignant, so it has served it's purpose well. Waiting to see and know more about the show.

Diya, Newsroom just posted an article about the phenomenal response the promo and Sanaya is getting. There will be a press conference where both Ashish and Sanaya will speak to the media. This is Colors most anticipated show of the year, so keeping my fingers crossed.

I am thrilled for Sanaya and I hope this role challenges Sanaya and brings out the best in her acting skills. She deserves to be recognized for her acting apart from her gorgeous looks.

BTW, looks like GH is indeed part of Rang Rasiya.

It is a Sanaya centric show, and looks like it will give her great scope to explore her talent. Fingers crossed that it happens, except we need to keep a tissue box handy each time we see an episode!!

    1. Uma,

      Sanaya-centric ... yippeeee!!!!
No wonder Saurabh Tewari waited for her, he needed not only a popular face but also a very strong performer to play the pivotal role. And I think no other actress on TV can look so innocent and young, and also portray the depth and range of emotions so beautifully as Sanaya can. She will be more mainstream heroine than her other roles, definitely more than Khushi ... hope they keep her character strong and don't make her too much the silent suffering type. But I will take anything if the show gets the TRPs and catapults her to the awards arena ... she deserves it, has deserved it for a long time ... it's time she got her due.

Over 24,800 views already on youtube! :)))

    2. The words "...trying to break free from the clutches of a distressed life..." gives me a hope. Even though Paro may initially be subdued, and suffering silently, she may break free from her shackles to attain her love and her dignity. That means not only does the story revolve around Paro but this character will have a graph and a growth. If the screenplay is strong then Sanaya has the talent to take this to another level.

You are right Sanaya has the rare ability to look innocent, vulnerable yet portray an underlying strength. Keeping my fingers crossed too, I hope Sanaya has finally got a role which taps into her acting abilities, stretches it and the character connects with the audience and is recognized by awards jury.

    The VO was confusing..

Any way, I found this- not sure if U posted this already, Dia.

    http://www.tellychakkar.com/tv/tv-news/syed-zafar-ali-joins-the-cast-of-colors-rang-rasiya

'Tellychakkar.com has been constantly reporting about BAG Films and Nautanki Telefilms’ latest offering Rang Rasiya.
And here we get you one more name that has been added to the cast.
Well, the latest artiste to be a part of this political drama is Syed Zafar Ali, who was last seen as an inspector in Zee TV’s Punar Vivah- Ek Nayi Umeed and as a commando in Colors’ 24.
The show will have Syed play a BSF Major. As a matter of fact, he will be the one to rope in Ashish Sharma (the lead of the show) in his team.
Earlier, Syed has majorly done cameos, but this time he plays an extended role.
When we contacted the actor, he said, “Yes, I am a part of the show.”
As reported earlier, Sanaya Irani, Ananya Khare, Tarun Khanna and Sadia Siddiqui are also a part of this project.
We will keep updating you on more.'

So, that gives a sneak peek into the story...

The good thing about ST is that he knows the pulse of the audience...Superstars, Army men...the audience loves watching them. He has a wonderful set of actors...I hear LM might join the team too, along with GH later on...the concept is good...the execution seems to have the best holding the ropes.

    Good going....

    Key Word: Political drama!

Posted by newsroomworld on November 18, 2013 in Newsroom

Newsroom got into a exclusive conversation with Prashant Bhatt who manages Colors fiction programming.Colors TV launched in 2008 has been going strong and is currently the second popular GEC in India.

Colors has been going strong being able to defeat GEC's launched before. So how do you'll feel.
We have a lot more to achieve in the years to come.We are concentrating on strengthening our fiction space with new shows and programming exclusive for our viewers.

The annual Golden Petal Awards is being conducted this year again.Whats going to new in it.
Kapil Sharma will bring out gags of all out ex and present Colors TV celebrities. Our new additions to the Colors family will be announced.Voting has started for it and response has been great.

Big Boss is going through so much criticism including the host of the show Salman Khan threatening to quit.
It is supposed to be a controversial reality show but we have made it for family entertainment. But as our disclaimer tells that parents guidance is necessary.About the rest of the question no comments as the senior people can give more information.

Colors TV holds India's number 1 non fiction show Comedy Nights With Kapil. What do you have to say on that.
The show is here to stay as we are getting good feedback for the show. The show will continue for more years to come
    .
24 is being heavily promoted. But logically the show hasn't got the sponsors like Big Boss or the TVT points .
That's not true,Colors TV is receiving a lot of feedback and viewers are loving the show. This is a new format in India,so its being accepted.
