DeleteI think she was on the sets of DDEJ ... she was hugging Akshay and Jaskaran and the scene was from their show. She was probably there just for a look test or finalising her own look or maybe the lead pair ... all speculation! She was not supposed to be seen for sure ... she ran away from the cameras the moment she saw them, but SBS is not going to pass up a chance to feature her ... I've heard she is on very good terms with the SBS people.
yes, you must be right. akshay was in costume. ddej has an aayi, right? that means that is maharashtra.. why were the purdah'ed rajasthani women there? sorry for asking,but i dont follow the show.. anyways, look test or no, whe looked gorgeous .. but then that is normal for her :D

ReplyDeleteNo idea, but I had the same thought .. she looks more desi gaon ki gori types. Not urban young girl like either Gunjan or Khushi, not even small town urban. That's why the idea of cross border love story seems likely ... although SBS said Agni Sakshi, but Agni Sakshi had a very urban setting, the abusive husband wanted his wife to be very classy. So really shooting in the dark here, no one knows and the channel and PH are very tight lipped about it.

Need to vent here ... you guys don't know what I'm talking about so ignore me ... this place is for me to write what I feel and I am so annoyed with the Monaya fans right now, especially the retarded bunch who has taken it upon themselves to be the guardians of the Monaya faith. Monaya are a couple, great, and they're very happy together, also great ... but facts are facts, and the fact is that Sanaya has left Mohit far behind in terms of acting career, and also fact is that he is nowhere near her in terms of talent. I had recognised this five years ago when MJHT was still on air, I felt then that Sanaya was actually the best of the four in terms of acting skills, and Rati was probably second after her ... both AB and Mohit were very limited actors, Mohit even more than AB, although he was better in S2 of MJHT than he was in S1. And when it went off, my feelings were vindicated ... Sanaya and Rati got new shows, Sanaya being the better actor, shot from strength to strength and made it big ... Rati was okay and did well in her limited way. The guys were left behind because they were not great at all ... the industry does recognise talent, and Sanaya has that in spades. Now for Monaya fans to get all sensitive because Sanaya is doing well, and Mohit is nowhere, is ridiculous ... both of them realise that they will never be paired together because she has left him far behind. If in spite of that, they are still together in personal life, good for them, and credit goes to both of them ... especially to Sanaya. Seems that double standards are still all-pervasive ... people will be ready to point fingers at Sanaya if she drops Mohit, and feel sorry for him ... no one will stop to think that he might find it difficult to handle a gf who is so much more successful than he is, and might react badly. Already saw signs of that in the birthday interview ... and all my sympathies are with Sanaya. If she does do NB, it will probably be only for Mohit's sake, she has enough on her plate and she made it very clear that she doesn't want to do JDJ along with a daily soap. Whether Mohit fans accept this or not! Uffff!!!! Hypocrites!
ReplyDeleteI guess I am one of the very few ppl who'll know what u are exactly talking abt.. :-) when sanaya and mohit came together infact that was my biggest ocncern - will it last?? For two such dynamically opposite ppl to come together, where one is by all means better than the other professionally..both being in the same profession..how will it have an impact on their relationship?? But the more I see them both together, the more I feel that somehow they are beyond that..or atleast look like that to me..Sanaya has been supremely successful in her shows one after the other..atleast bagging them and showcasing her talent after MJHT while Mohit hasn't..now she isn't the type who will just drop him off because he doesnt do well in his career..thats not Sanaya..she knows exactly how talented or non talented he is and inspite of all of that she loves him..so that will never be a factor I think..but yes, that may be the factor they are taking their own sweet time to tie a knot and settle down and until they do that, there are always going to be doubts..ofcourse, the doubts wont stop after their marriage, but could reduce to an extent.. Now as far as Mohit is concerned, I think even when he did start dating her, she was a much senior artist than he was or is..so he was always aware of the gap..and even now..he doesnt look the jealous insecure type..ofcourse if u read between the lines and only pick out those statements by both of them and twist the meanings to suit ur thoughts that is what its going to sound to u..and this is exactly how these Monaya fans behave..they were always like that even when MJHT was on air..
DeleteMads ... *HUGSSS* yes, you know exactly what I'm talking about, we had this discussion so many times earlier. I'm not talking about Monaya as such ... they are together for now, they have been together for quite some time, and that is their personal life. I will say that although Sanaya was senior to him when MJHT started, acting-wise and status wise, they were pretty much at the same level when they fell in love and got together, so things were much easier for them at that time.

San has shot way ahead of Mohit ... from what I have seen of her, she will not change, because she liked him for the person he truly is, not because of his acting or success or whatever ... and he comes across as a really nice guy, good-hearted and sweet. But for him things have changed more. She is way ahead of the game, he is still stuck at the same place. For any guy, to see his better half sweep so much ahead of him is tough on a male ego, and they are in the same field, which makes it worse. Most Monaya fans feel that she will be the one to ditch him, I've always felt the opposite, that if anything breaks them up, it will be HIM, and not her. The male ego is a very fragile thing, and even though so far, Mohit doesn't seem to show any insecurity, I'm not sure how long it will last.
I would feel happier about the relationship if he would start doing something else on the side, more for his own self-respect and satisfaction than for her. I'm surprised that he hasn't managed to bag anything so far ... he was never a great actor, true, but he's not the worst around ... there are far worse guys than him on screen, and they manage all right. And the reason I feel her success is getting to him slightly now, is because in the first Monaya segment on her birthday, Mohit kept talking about himself and his come back ... now if it was his birthday segment,it would have been understandable ... but this was HER segment, HER birthday, there was no need for him to talk about himself there! The first time I was a bit irritated with him and wanted him to shut up ... for one, I was really not interested in news of his come back, and secondly I felt he was out of place talking about himself so much on Sanaya's big day.
But my problem is not so much with him ... its with the new Monaya fans who've crawled out of the woodwork ever since MJHT went off air and now take it on themselves to bash anyone who says anything about Mohit and Monaya. They're as bad as the Sarun fans ... only bothered about Sanaya as part of the Monaya pairing, and not about her alone. I am only bothered about Sanaya and her professional life ... who she's seeing doesn't concern me as long as she's happy. I like Mohit because she seemed happy with him, but I do feel uncomfortable that he seems to be doing absolutely nothing at all in life and just hanging around her. How can a girl respect a guy like that and for how long? I know I wouldn't be able to do that. I heard that he was helping his dad in his business ... hope that's true and he's not just wasting time waiting for that one elusive break. I know that their taking their time to settle down is what makes the Monaya fans insecure, but I clearly remember Sanaya's iv after they had just gone public, when she said something to the effect that the guy she married had to make it on his own and not just with family money. Which he doesn't seem to be doing at all ... unless of course he is, and we don't hear about it ... Whatever it is, that's their concern and no one else's. The Monaya fans really get my goat ... and they've succeeded in annoying all the solo Sanaya fans as well ... everyone detests them. Which unfortunately translates into people detesting Mohit as well ... they're actually making things much worse for Mohit with all their bashing! Complete idiots!!!

Deletehmm...I haven't seen that interview, but you are totally right about the male ego part.. let's see how it goes.. anyway, I have also always loved San more than Mohit...it'll make me sad if they split, not because of them as such, because I am sure they are and will be mature enough to take the right decision, plus they arent my close friends or anything to feel bad about their split up.. but because there are in general so many memories associated with their coming together...those wonderful moments that we all spent together on MSN and IF, chatting, dissecting, discussing, ..and somehow...it all coincides to one thing for me so it'll be like the end of an era long after MJHT has ended.. :)
DeleteI hope they don't split, Mads ... because he seems to be a genuinely nice guy, and very calm and sober compared to Sanaya, who's a mad hatter ... she needs someone like him to calm her down. It's just that I wish he would find something else to do, as acting doesn't seem to be working out for him ... maybe behind the camera or something. The DOP of MJHT did say after MJHT ended that he had picked up a lot of behind the scenes stuff during the show ...and he likes photography ... maybe that's his forte. I don't like seeing him hanging around San like a puppy dog, as though he has nothing else to do, and it's his only way of getting into the news.

I will be sad if they break up ... but like you, I have always loved San more than Mohit any day, and admired her as an actress even more. Her happiness and her career is more important to me than his ... as long as he keeps her happy, I'm fine with him, but the moment he doesn't, he's out for me. MJHT for me now is mainly Sanaya and Gunjan ... and people like you *hugs*

I wish he paired opposite San...he is one from whom San can learn a lot.. :))

this was one of his earlier shows, before humsafar..he looks young and fresh but the acting is equally good.. :)) and I believe he can create chemistry with a rock... :) also, the song is very calm and soothing..

I actually started watching Numm for him, luckily the show is damn good and I am happy that he is doing a different role, not the usual loverboy as in ZGH or humsafar.....Tried watching Sanam's kadurat but couldnt bear to watch. Looking forward to her new show Shakk...
DeleteI tried watching numm, but somehow couldnt get past the concept to appreciate his acting..but want to give it another try.. Shwethu, watch daastaan too then..u will love him! He is brilliant..and even sanam baloch.. Sanam saeed, I loved her in ZGH, and like u, watched only bits of kadoorat..i am waiting eagerly if or when mahira and fawad will be paired again..for me, somehow those two are magical.. But then again, this guy is so good that give him a half decent actress and he created wonders.. Infact, even though both humsafar and ZGH were love stories, the depth and variation he brought to Asher and Zaroon is unbelievable.. :-) uff..i guess I am too smitten by him and acting totally fangirly right now.. :-P but lol, kya karein, I have admired an ACTOR SO much only after ages..last was Viraf and then then it has always been Sanaya..so itna haq toh banta hai I guess.. ;-) akhir main bhi ek aurat hoon! ;-)... :-D

DeleteNumm has a very complex story and Wali is not a straightforward jerk as Zaroon was many times..........Here he too is a victim of the system, He wants to break free but he is as much part of the system has the whole arrogant zamindari streak in him, is still in awe of his grandad and is unable to rebel although he is coming of his own.
I am loving that Numm is unknown territory for me show -wise - have no idea where it is headed and that is the beauty of it. All the main characters be it Wali, Mehjabeen, Neelam are evolving right before our eyes and it is fantastic to watch.
I personally prefer sanam-fawad aka zaroon kashaf he he;)
Yes, dastaan is tragic and painful..and I couldnt watch some parts of it at all..but overall the concept is quite touching..
Deleteas far as comparison with the three couples goes, for me, Zaroon-Kashaf as characters and as a couple to watch onscreen score anyday over Asher-Khirad or the one in dastaan..but as far as chemistry between actors is concerned, I would go for Fawad-Mahira anyday.. For one, I think Asher-Khirad characters per say and the story in general was quite ordinary..but the whole package was presented so well..and I think asher-khirad would not be the same without fawad and mahira..they took the characters to another level..the same with any other actors wouldn't have been that big a success even with equal amount of efforts on other details such as dialogues, script etc..
But with Zaroon-Kashaf its a diff story altogether..no doubt, Sanam and Fawad acted brilliantly..but the characters itself were also very well written..expecially the complexities in both and the parallel ironies in their thought processes and their upbringing.. :-)

Mads, I totally get why loads of people love Fawad-Mahira, Since I watched Humsafar in my own unique way as in Ashar-khirad scenes only plus reading up on wiki and finished it in about couple of hours, I missed the whole will they won't they get together in the end excitement, unlike ZGH where I pretty much watched the whole show. Fawad seems to be good at choosing good roles, show, good for us, I say.

Is he a singer/model also? Yaar, Rakesh Roshan had nothing much to do in Khubsoorat, why would he take up such a role? Unless they are planning to make it more of a love story ...
DeleteWhy fixed time period, Shwethu? If the show does well, Colors will change the BB time slot ... doubt they will take a successful show off air. But alternatively, the unique approach that the Colors head talked about might mean that - the concept of a seasonal show from the onset ... which should mean that the first season end in a cliff-hanger, to keep the audience hooked enough to return. Maybe they are testing the approach with 24.

Deleteanyway @dia..yes, he is/was a singer...don't know abt a professional model or something, but he has walked the ramp a couple of times I suppose... but he is a MUCH better actor than he is either a singer or a model.. :P haha, I would say..coz I've heard one of his songs from the band he belonged to and either the recording was bad, or he was.. :P either way, I am SO glad he decided to choose acting over singing.. haha..
as for bollywood debut, hmm, I am in two minds..for one, I saw a promo of him dancing in a pakistani movie and he can't do that either.. :P and if the khoobsurat remake is going to be all masala and singing and dancing, he is going to go and embarass himself very badly.. :( but ofcourse, unless he works on it and from his interviews he seemed to me like a very focused and hard working individual..especially he treats acting also like a science and therefore knows how to work his way around it..that was the feeling I got when I heard him talk.. :)
anyway, let's wait nd watch...I absolutely do not like sonam kapoor.. :P but if she is with Fawad, she might just be bearable.. :P
I REALLY, really dil se wish he gets paired opposite San.. :))) after Virf, he is on my wishlist for San's co-actor..
I don't get too many positive vibes abt this Ashish Sharma guy.. :-/ but let's see..I don't want to jump to conclusions!
Sanz is not doing NB, thank god! If she has to juggle two shows let it be JDJ than NB.
ReplyDeleteShe already said she won't do JDJ, she found just one week of juggling JDJ and Chhanchhan too taxing ... I wasn't surprised at all that she said no to NB. That JDJ statement was leading to her 'no' for NB.
DeleteBut since she also said no to JDJ for next year, I guess she won't take that up either, unless Colors really gives her lots of time off for it during her show. They can do that if they really want her to take part. I would really prefer she did JDJ, she would learn a lot with a professional choreographer, and would hit the notice of the big league film-makers like Drashti has done ... DD has been offered a film after JDJ, don't know if she's taking it ...
Also don't know whether Sanaya would even be interested in BW at all. She's 30, it's difficult for her to make a career in BW now. So even less of a reason for her to do JDJ.
But on the other hand, more and more BW people are eyeing TV... she would come to their notice for sure. *sigh* ... don't know ... let's wait and watch :)
