Star Plus firmly on top ... Sony doing well on the strength of KBC and Indian Idol ... no wonder they have gotten Kapil back again, they will need him once these two end.
SP shows doing quite well ... they must be disappointed with KZK2 ... it hasn't reached top ten yet. But early days yet ...
Meanwhile YRKKH is back with a major bang, Kulfi is doing well ... I caught up with Kulfi after getting Hotstar, and it is quite watchable now, though the kids still overact too much. Watching KZK2 off and on too ... Erica is still bad, Parth is surprisingly decent ... but the jodi doesn't click for me yet.
Silsila and Bepanaah both out of top 20.
Rabba Ve is at 3 in rural charts ... and 6 overall ... that show really was something else!!! Sanaya will struggle to find something that does even half as well. Thankfully Barun seems to have given up on tv after the debacle of AdvaySR.
Big Boss is struggling this year ... nowhere near the top in ratings. Colors shows are overall down ... except for Naagin again, and Shakti, which has been a lambi race ka ghoda ... still doing well!
I haven't tuned in to Zee for ages ... no idea about the shows. Lost interest in Ishq Subhan Allah long time back ... and cannot stand even a minute of the two KKBs ...
I feel like colors often does well due to only naagin and weekend reality shows lol.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch silsila though,now it is on and off because they are ruining mauli's character to glorify nandini.Have you seen any episodes?The actress playing mauli is superb and has been receiving great response on social media.DD kind of screws up as nandini often I think.
Bepannaah opened so well but after that it has only seen downfall in terms of ratings.I am not surprised though,the PH does not do well on trp charts.They had ek hazaaron mein 5-6 years back and after that not much I guess.
And this is a bit off topic but I want to say that I don't think it is that big a loss if sanaya didn't work with harshad,specially if his performance as aditya is anything to go by.He can be good but his fans really put him on a pedestal (though I suppose that is something all fangroups can be accused of hehe).

Oh also not only for sanaya but it will require great luck for any actor to get a show like ipkknd which did great/pretty good/decent on trp chart,had amazing online response and was loved in so many other countries too.
ReplyDeleteShows like madhubala and jodha akbar too had both trps and online popularity,today the shows that are popular online don't do well on the trp chart (though ishqbaaaz does better than bepannaah I suppose)
