Rishton Ka Chakravyuh week 14, epi 75-79 - Nov 6-10

Mon 6th Nov

Satrupa-Narottam ... what is Satrupa up to? Is she trying to do with Narottam what Sudha is doing with Anami? Her dialogues to Narottam were telling and pointed ... she seemed genuinely shocked that a mother could want her child to be in pain ... as she told him, untended wounds get septic and rot the flesh. Will Narottam respond to the not so hidden message? Will Satrupa realise that love and affection will win him over far easier and faster than harsh words? I still feel sorry for Narottam ... through no fault of his own, he has suffered all through his life.

Adhiraj-Anami ... Anami ... Mahima can't do bubbly chirpy girl ... she overdoes it. She needs to tone it down. And improve her voice modulation. And Adhiraj falling for Anami still seems too premature ... she is too young and immature, for one. So what has Anami found in the photographs?

Sudha-Vikram Singh ... so she finally tells him what she really wants ... Narottam to be the heir. Vikram Singh of course loses it ... a hotel and house for her and Narottam is not enough for her, her greed goes beyond that. Sudha suddenly realises Anami is overhearing, and does major nautanki damage control ... but was she in time? Or did Anami overhear something? And will she get brainwashed by Sudha again?

Satrupa-Anami ... Satrupa tries to din some sense into Anami's head ... will she succeed?

Narayani Shastri is a really wonderful actress. Sangeeta Ghosh is good too ... but NS is brilliant. Just a small gesture of her eyes is enough to say everything.

Tues-Wed

Disappointed in Satrupa ... why did she rush to confront Sudha so quickly? Thought her plan would be better thought out. Sudha is emerging the victor in all their skirmishes.

Sudha's brother, Purushottam, is to enter ...

Thursday 9th Nov

I'm disappointed in Satrupa today ... I thought she would call Laddoo as a way to getting closer to Anami and winning her trust ... but she compared Laddoo to Abhimanyu ... which means she is perfectly prepared to sacrifice him for her purpose. Not sacrifice as in kill ... I don't think she will ever hurt a child ... but he is being brought for her purpose, regardless of his welfare.

Vikram's 'test' ... Anami failed his principles ... for him and LM, the family comes first and everyone else can be sacrificed. For Anami, society's welfare is bigger than one family's good. Which is good in the abstract ... but what happens when she is wrong in her choice? When society's good as she perceives it, is not really society's good at all?  And her choice of punishment too, was too stark and unforgiving ... she is still living in black or white ...  right or wrong.

When she denounced Vikram Singh as being wrong about Sudha, she should have been asked ... who decides which point of view is right or wrong? Why is she the one to decide? The one to pronounce judgement? And who decides whether her decision is right or wrong?

Sudha has been betrayed by the LM vasis ... that is for sure. Her vengefulness is justified. But like Anami, the viewers also know only her side of the story ... a bit more than Anami ... as we have also seen her plotting and deceit ... which Anami has not yet seen. Is her vengefulness completely justified? And with it, Anami's choice?

Anami has a big jhatka coming ... and she really needs one. She is becoming more and more arrogant in her self-righteousness.

The massage scene - Anami-Satrupa ... Satrupa, Narayani's expressions were brilliant. She is a wonderful actress! One could feel her pain, her loss, her deep grief ... the loss of her beloved son, her comfort, her friend and companion ... Anami is a long way from filling that void.

  1. Random thoughts after the new promo and Satrupa's words on needing Abhimanyu to bhed the chakravyuh ...
Satrupa is grey, she is ruthless and strong when it comes to her children ... but she has been running RS for years .. which means she is also intelligent and forward thinking. This is reflected in the respect Vikram Singh shows her. She obviously did not have such good relations with Gayatri ... that may reflect an older woman's thinking that a woman's place is in her home, and not the boardroom ... and the natural resentment of a mother that her son was superceded by another person. But even that relationship has improved now ... both are very much on the same side. But I hope they show more of the ruthless, intelligent woman ... she might not be appreciated by the TRP aunties, but that woman can handle Sudha.

Laddo being Abhimanyu ... Abhimanyu was used to bhed the Chakravyuh, he knew the way in, but not the way out. Laddoo knows Anami ... but will he be enough to open Anami's eyes to Sudha's truth? Or will he get destroyed by Sudha? In the new promo, it's clear that Sudha is taken aback by his arrival ... and Anami left her side immediately she saw Laddoo. So Anami's priorities are clear.

Interesting viewpoint on the forum ... that Satrupa was Abhimanyu at one time. So the old, cheerful, laughing Satrupa was sacrificed, to make way for this cold ruthless woman. That old Satrupa was only alive when she interacted with Vatsalya.

In the Mahabharata ... Karna died ... all the sons of the Pandavas also died. The heir, the one who took over the kingdom when the Pandavas left for their heavenly abode ... was Parikshit, the unborn son of Uttara, the widow of Abhimanyu.

  2. Among the three possible heirs ... Anami, Narottam and Avdhoot .. I don't see any of them being worthy of being heir as of now.

Anami is too stubborn, immature and arrogant. Her heart is in the right place, but she sees the world and situations in black and white, no grey. Vatsalya was much wiser and more more perceptive. If left to her, she will probably destroy RS, in her quest to ensure 'justice' and fairness to the workers, without considering the wider picture. Much like Trump (as an example) is giving concessions to coal miners without considering that a) coal as a fuel is more polluting, b) coal reserves are running out, so the concessions are not likely to benefit them in the long run, instead the same workers can be diverted to other sources of energy, and c) renewable energy is the need of the hour.

    1. Also, she has not been shown to be benefitting from her studies in the least. And she remains the same loud, uncouth, gawar girl she was in Benaras ... no polish at all. Such a person may be good at heart, but cannot run a big corporation. She needs to incorporate some of the polish and demeanor of Satrupa, if not the ruthlessness.

  3. Avdhoot ... is a waste of space. His only plus point is that he is interested in the job ... though only for the power. His treatment of Narottam and the servants shows that he would be the worst person to be handed any power at all ... he would misuse it to the maximum. Also, he is stupid, doesn't have the intelligence to run anything, let alone a big empire. Which supposedly is what Royal Steel is.

  4. Narottam ... has had a miserable life ... he would have his sympathies with the right people. But he can only be judged once away from his mother's shadow ... under that, he is spineless, and as prone to walking the wrong path, as Avdhoot is under Pujan. If Narottam matures, sees the good in Anami, and is influenced enough by her to become his own man, then he may be a good choice ... as a second in command. He doesn't have the personality or leadership skills to become the heir.
But honestly, it is difficult to judge him ... so far, he is only his mother's pawn. One feels sorry for him, he has had a terrible life, and hasn't received pure unadulterated love from anyone. Scorned by his father's family ... which is unforgiveable ... what is his fault that he is Baldev's illegitimate son? And only used by his mother as an instrument to plan her revenge ... she actually doesn't care that he gets hurt, as long as it furthers her plans.
Narottam's scars run deep ... I can't declare him an unworthy heir in his own right ... but he needs to emerge from the shadow's of Sudha's manipulation and revenge, to prove himself worthy.

  5. So will it be the child of Adhiraj and Anami who eventually becomes heir? That would be fitting ... Dheeru was the person who worked hardest, along with Vikram Singh, in setting up Royal Steel ... he is now partner ...

I would like to see some change, some evolution in Anami, some coaching from Dheeru ... there is already some softening in her attitude ... she is less obviously rude ... and she actually understood and acknowledged that she was wrong and came to apologise to Satrupa.

But every time the distances lessen, something happens to widen the gap. When Vikram Singh and the family started softening towards Anami, she brought in Sudha. Now when there is some softening in Anami, will Satrupa bringing Laddoo bridge the gap? Or widen it further?
