So Nishi's destination wedding is on, at Karan's farmhouse, and interestingly, Karan and Dimpy are least inclined to allow Nivedita's wedding to Neil if they can possibly help it ... Karan's remark that 'we can't have two Pams in Neil's life', was cute!Dr Aman has been reduced from perpetually confused to almost clownish ... pity, I have liked the actor since his Aapki Antara days. I still like him, he's cute, but I just hope he won't fall for Ragini and become negative.
Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh ... it's about time they wound it up, it's getting stupid. I haven't even watched the last couple of episodes properly, the brother-sister duo of Samarth-Sarika are just too annoying, and like all Ekta serials, the vamps and villains get away with anything and everything, while the heroine is plain dumb.
YHM ... watching off and on ... if Ishita and Ruhi start getting the better of Shagun, I will watch ... otherwise I can happily stop.
Still waiting for news of Sanaya ... finally we got an article, or rather a tweet, that Sanaya and Vivian have been approached for Gul Khan/ 4 Lions' next show on Star Plus, about a boy and girl who fall in love in college, then part ways, and the girl becomes a mother ... and they meet years later. The sketch has the makings of a decent story if they take it well, and for the first time, it is not about an angry young man and his damaged past. Not too sure about Gul though, her shows tend to be full of negative characters, who never get their just desserts. Sanaya would get to play an unwed mother, which would be an interesting character to play, and a new one for her.
The other upcoming show on Star Plus is Siya Ke Ram, which will be the story of the Ramayan from Sita's viewpoint. The promos have started, but the cast has not yet been disclosed. If Sanaya were to do this, it would be a completely new genre for her.
I was hoping for her to do Manmarziyan, I liked the sound of that show, but the heroine there has been locked for ages and has already started shooting.
So the wait for Sanaya continues, and in the meantime, Indian TV seems to have very little of interest to offer.

Apparently ZA Productions tweeted that Sanaya has been finalised to play the lead opposite Vivian in a new Colors show. And there was an article that Vivian has been approached for a new show on Colors.
So which of the rumors has a grain of truth? Probably neither, as of now.

Yes, the fake marriage drama should end soon ... I'm sure it will end during Nishi's marriage next week. Apparently there are four MEs next week for the wedding, all one hour long. So there will be lots of singing and dancing and drama :)
DeleteSaw the first episode of Ashoka ... very impressive, the cast is excellent, especially young Ashoka and Chanakya. I think Ashish has already started something else ... there was an interview with him on the same radio show that Sanaya did last month, and he more or less said that he has started his next show, and will give the details next week. The young Ashoka has been signed for a year, so it's definitely not Ashish.
Rumors are growing about Sanaya being on the new Colors' show with Vivian ... personally, I don't believe them yet, I think one site started the rumor, and in the absence of any real news, all the other sites are running with it. My gut feel is that we will get news of her next show only in March, or earliest in Feb end after DD's wedding.
IKNMP - Wednesday 11th Feb - the husband wife squabble between Neil and Ragini in the car was very true to life! Squabbling about nothing at all!
ReplyDeletePam thought she locked Neil safely into his room for the night ... her plan backfired rather spectacularly. It seems that in all shows, the villains are the biggest Cupids :)
I liked Ragini's reactions when she discovered the loss of her bag, and the entire sequence of her and Neil going to find it, was nicely written ... also her relief and tears when she finally found it, Neil asking her to check that the jewelry was intact ...
The goons bit was quite silly ... guess all shows have to have the hero saving the heroine from goons ... but at least Neil wasn't shown to be a Superman or Sunny Deol.
Don't really care for the track of Kitty pushing her daughter Shilpa towards Ranbir ... but I guess with two weeks of MEs, they have to have some parallel tracks ... the Nishi-Jignesh romance is not really exciting enough, the twins are too young ... so Ranbir it is.
I like Dr Aman, Dimpy and Karan ... wish Dimpy and Karan had more dialogues and meaningful scenes with Neil and Ragini. I think both the actors are in other shows as well, so probably their timings are limited. Dr Aman is very cute ... have liked the actor since his Aapki Antara days.

Well,I saw on IF about drashti's new show promo.saw the pics and analysis on MB forum.dd looks cute.the show looks good but I think its set in some pre- independence era,going by the title and costumes. Sidhant karnick is pretty good, have watched him in PKYEK.but the problem is the show is on zee TV and all zee TV shows are OTT and melodramatic, made for TRPs. But knowing drashti,I think it'd be a good story,the girl chooses her projects quite wisely.
And still no news of sanaya's new show!
Abt the gul show rumours, I don't think it will be hit as IPK or GHSP.seeing humsafars and how she made QH a saas bahu saga.hope sanaya comes back with a bang.you know,I still have my hopes on sanish in asoka seeing how many non-sanaya fans are recommending her for devi's role.and ashish's new show,no confirmation too,STs shows are getting scrapped too,like the mohit one too on Sony TV.

IKNMP:nishi's wedding track maha episodes are quite enjoyable. Can't the new raj take Pam and go,he should have done it earlier though. Dr aman is very funny.the super naani too.and Neil is full on adaalat mode.I cracked up at aman's line on jeeta jaata CCTV camera, asking qns, is ragini in?if yes,what's she doing? If no,then where is she?that dialogue was too good. On the other hand. Dunno when will Neil come to know of this fake marriage drama. It should be soon.
Asoka:its a must watch seriously. Are u watching it?acharya,dharma,bindusar and of course kid asoka is rocking.and it has got a starting TRPs of 5.1 or so.there are much deviations from real history though,but contiloe got that magadh royal feeling right.and as usual now a days for any historical show,a lot of negative characters too.but overall its quite good. Hope sidharth nigam stays longer and the show must not drag too.do share ur views too.
YHM:typical kekta show. I don't think shagun is going anywhere soon.but still its the TRPs topper,wonder why?and now it has become a true competition to SSK.
RR FFs:zara's ff is quite dragging though shevhas got the characters and their feelings right .I don't like too much Myra focus.and I don't like the rudra in that too.the rudra in JJs and rithu's ff is much better.
Clear blue skies ff by rithu has got all characters cthe way I liked.a selfish mala,good kakisa,doting rudra and others too.have u read it?

DeleteI saw the DD show promo, it looks quite sweet, DD looks somewhat similar to her earlier shows Geet and MB, except this time with the period feel. She chooses her shows well, and doesn't do anything much out of the ordinary ... and that's what works well on TV ... nice sweet middle class girl with family values and 'sanskaar', and rich arrogant man.
Gul show being hit or not, I don't know ... we don't even know if there is a show yet, so predicting its success or failure is way too early for now. Gul did learn her lesson somewhat with IPK ... she gave the FL more scope and depth in both QH and HS ... but QH has far too much negativity for my taste. The god thing about IPK was that every character was positive or not more than marginally grey, like Mami and Buaji, and they reformed or became harmless later. there was only one completely negative character, Shyam. In QH and HS, everybody is negative or dark grey or puzzling ... actually I haven't followed HS at all, this is what I gleaned from discussions. So I really don't want Sanaya in Gul's show, unless she has a much better story to tell. Can't take it away from Gul that her execution in IPK was brilliant ... but it hasn't been at the same level since then either in QH or HS.
I honestly don't think there is any chance of Sanish in Ashoka ... the young boy playing Ashoka has been signed for a year, and with Ashoka getting good TRPs, Colors isn't going to change that in a hurry. And according to Ashish, he has already started shooting for his next show. So there is no way he is doing Ashoka.
I haven't been watching Ashoka ... haven't been watching any Indian TV except for INKMP ... I'm hooked to Downton Abbey on Star World, so that and INK are all I watch ... and I'm watching the last couple of weeks of Everest. Stopped watching both YHM and ADHY ... they got too negative and annoying for my taste.
I'm reading JJ's ff on parud, and Zara's too ... I know what you mean about Zara's ff ... I feel bad for both Myrah and Paro ... the way she's writing it, I feel Rudra doesn't deserve either Paro or Myrah ... he moved on too quickly with Myrah, and now that Paro is back, he wants to go back to her. Actually the entire premise is weak ... just as the Rudra-Myrah story was weak. I always felt worse for Myrah than for Rudra even in the show, because Rudra moving on with Paro's lookalike made absolutely no sense.

About Geet ... I did try to watch it while it was on air, because one of my very good friends loved the show ... but I couldn't stand the music, esp the "Mahiiiii veeee" ... it always made me laugh! I might try watching it ... now all the episodes are on Hotstar, so easier to find them.
INKMP ... What is the mystery behind Suhani? Why does she dislike Nivedita? Why is Pam keeping her away from the wedding, when all her siblings are there? Does Ragini not know of her existence?
ReplyDeleteRest of the episode was cute ... Pam's plan backfired big time, she locked Aman into Neil's room, and Neil and Ragini ended up spending the might together searching for Ragini's bag ... the bigger miracle was that they found it.
Jignesh's daadi wants to push Aman and Nivedita closer ... that's a laugh.
So now RK also knows the fake wedding secret ... Neil, Pam, Karan and Dimpy, and Nivedita don't know it's fake, the kids and Jignesh's family don't know about the fake wedding. All very confusing!
The wedding is a visual treat, with the lovely color coordinated clothes and the beautiful decorations. Ekta maiyya doesn't spend as much money as the Rajshris do though ... the celebrations in PKDH were always grander and looked more polished and elegant.

Rithu's clear blue skies is definitely good.but to understand the plot,u will have to read its prequel ff after the storm.but the sequel is quite an enjoyable read.
I'm glad u will try watching geet.don't worry,u will get used to mahi in due course of time. Do try asoka too,its not that boring.
So here's thesis abt suhani on IF and my view too:
According to me,suhani would be Neil ragini's daughter itself.the 10th January episode is a hint to it.its all Pam's game.I think,suhani is told to be rupali's daughter to Neil and nivedita.she hates nivedita coz Pam said that Neil is getting married to nivedita, like agam she too want her mom dad together. Ragini doesn't know of her existence clearly. Maybe Pam might have switched the babies.as I told earlier,ragini was shown pregnant while holding baby agam in one fb.moreover the chashmish look of suhani quite matches with that of old ragini.
It maybe something on these lines.

DeleteI have no idea why Sanaya is taking so long to come back ... waiting for something different must be one reason ... another might be that she wants to have a longer gap between her shows this time. She has been working almost continuously for the last six years ... with barely 3-4 months between her shows. We've got so used to seeing her on screen continuously, we forget that most actors take 6-8 months between shows, if not more. Plus she must be busy with Drashti's wedding ... hopefully we will get some news after DD's marriage is over ... or at least by March. March is what I'm hoping for, for the simple reason that IPK news first came out in March, and I'm hoping for history to repeat itself, as far as popularity and TRPs of San's next show are concerned. I just hope there is no leaving drama and abrupt shutdown, that's all ... hopefully with QH going on and on forever, SP has realised that a show can go on if a ML, or even a FL for that matter, leaves.
I'm actually off most Indian TV these days ... only following IKNMP regularly. I went off YHM completely when there was too much Shagun, now am back to it sporadically, same with ADHY ... am basically watching it because I know it's ending in the next couple of weeks. Same with Everest ... I had stopped completely, now watching the last two weeks.
I'm planning to give both the new Ram Kapoor as well as the Gautami Kapoor shows a try. So not planning to watch Geet any time soon ... it's available on Hotstar ... so I know where to find it now :)
Suhani - I'm not following the forum discussions ... but I also feel that Suhani is Neil and Ragini's daughter for sure ... Ragini does not know of her existence ... and I'm sure Pam had a hand in that, maybe she told Ragini that the dead Rupali, Nivedita's sister, was expecting Neil's child, and switched babies at delivery. very cliched, I know ... but Pam will be the villain here for sure.
Why Suhani hates Nivedita, I can't imagine ... maybe she has some hazy knowledge of the supposed Neil-Rupali affair which broke her parents' marriage. Pam is definitely hiding something ... and she is hiding Suhani from Ragini. in fact, she's hiding the fact of Suhani's existence from Ragini ... if Suhani was Rupali's daughter, Pam would be shoving her in Ragini's face, to prove to Ragini that Neil loved someone else.

Not bored of iknmp yet ... but it doesn't really inspire me to write anything ... it's just a pleasant watch as of now. I browsed through the links you sent me, and now am reading YellowBoots FF ... am also trying to find complete FF's ... i hate reading unfinished ones. Am not reading rithu's current ff ... I have to catch up with the earlier one first, I started that, but didn't continue ... 3 different ff's on Parud are confusing, I forget the characters of Parud in each one ... so i have to re-read them every time a new chapter comes in. As it is, Zara's and JJ's are so different, in one, Myrah and Paro are the same, in the other, they are different, every time I switch I get confused!
Plus I re-fired my Kindle, so am reading books on that too!!! No wonder I'm not getting the time to write anything!
