and i have no words for mr.sharma.he is again coming back with ST!the man who singlehandedly ruined such a potential show for those elusive trps and got in the bad books of the viewers.[i know the TRP system is to be blamed but he didnt have the guts to stay true to the original plot.yaa,i'll stop my rant there:-)]
and did u read the supposed-plotline of the new show-its on the lines of that karanvir-sriti show on life ok.dunno why ashish thinks that only ST can give him fame,he forgot that major share of rr's popularity was sanaya,though i never disagree that he's a good actor.

also,do u think suhani is neil-ragini's daughter itself?her appearance is modelled into that of ragini's in flashbacks.and some on IF mentioned that ragini was shown pregnant in an fb with baby agam and dimpy?

Ratna, yes, I have heard the same news, that Drashti has signed the period love story ... it seems to be another version of Punar Vivah, so am glad Sanaya has not got that one.
DeleteAshish has done three out of his four shows with ST ... they seem to share a great bond and mutual respect ... his Chandragupt Maurya was a good show, and Ashish got a lot of recognition from it, so it's no surprise that Ashish is happy to work with ST again. I'm totally in agreement with you that the major share of RR's popularity and recognition came from Sanaya ... but it didn't get TRPs. Neither did Chandragupt, for that matter, but it was on Imagine channel.
Ashish did get recognition from CGM, but he got stardom from RR ... I think he knows that.
Like you said, if the show is really on the lines of that Karanvir-Sriti show, I am not interested in it at all ... anyway, I am not a fan of Ashish, nor am I interested in him post RR ... he was good as Sanaya's costar, he is a good actor and he was a very good Rudra ... that's it for me.
I had house guests during the last week of EHT ... I barely managed to watch the episodes, fortunately my friend was also a fan of the show, so we recorded and watched the last couple of episodes together. I think they did a decent job of the ending, even though they had to rush it ... and yes, they definitely left things open for a season 2.
The biggest mystery about Suhani is about whose daughter she is. Right not I'm not even thinking about that part ... I'm just enjoying the show and going with the flow. It's going well ... less drama than most Ekta shows ... it's much more low key and natural, and the leads and all actors are really good. Pallavi was a bit weak when they started off, but she has settled into the role now. I missed quite a few episodes, when Aagham and Aarav discover they're twins ... I wish I had recorded the show.

from whatever i found out,CGM was sagar arts',GKD was of shakuntalam telefilms and his zee tv show was some jay mehta companies.then where did ST come into the picture?
also i searched the net and was shocked to find ST was the programming head of imagine tv during the days when it sank and shut down.people were already blaming ST for that.now i understand why imagine's quality of programming deteriorated from good shows like KMH1,bandini,jyoti[their initial days] ,ramayan,big money etc . to stupid programs like BAVD,haar jeet,luteri dulhan and so on.
I'm surprised with kekta these days.she really got a lot better from her days of MMS[read:multiple marriage syndrome]in shows to subtle shows.hope IKNMP stays the way it is now and with less MUs and drama,but isn't it really too much to ask from kekta*wink*?

ST was programming head of Imagine when both CGM and GKD were on Imagine ... apparently, Ashish is ST's find and he pushed his name for both the shows. Only the zee show was not associated with ST, and it flopped. And all said and done, RR got Ashish a lot of popularity ... maybe that's why he's happy to stay with ST. As it is, ST tends to neglect the FL in his shows, his shows are all pretty male-centric ... I know Sanaya loves him as a producer, but that must be because actors want different things from producers ... good working conditions, timely payments, and according to Sanaya, the RR storyline went as she was narrated except it was speeded up for TRPs, so they ran out of story. Don't understand how that happened ... they didn't even go into the missing brides and tracing Paro's sister ... I guess along with speeding the story, they also had to leave out some bits, and Nandini must have been one of them. But Ashish has only gained from RR ... I don't think he has ever had a TRP topper show, so for him, whatever he got from RR was good ... including the JDJ chance, which he definitely wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
DeleteSame here ... I don't want ST's new show to get much online popularity ... I want him and Ashish to know that Sanaya was a big part of the popularity and trps they got. And that ignoring the FL was not a good idea ... ST should know that anyway, as all the top trp shows are always female-oriented.
Kekta has gotten much better for sure ... even I'm surprised! :))) Her shows are actually watchable for a few months at a stretch ... I had stopped watching YHM in the middle, when Ishita became too mahaan and dumb ... now she has recovered her brains and is getting the better of Shagun ... she and Ruhi between them ... so I've been watching it again. And IKNMP is going quite good of course .... good mix of light and fun moments as well as serious and intense ones.

It seems its a mature love story where in the girl becomes a mother in her college days and the boy and the girl separate their ways later..or something like that....this rumor has been floating in IF for now...and I thought Sanaya said she is not yet ready to play the role of a mother?!
Plus I don't want her to be in another Gul's show, she is such a let down.. ;-/
But what I thought was interesting is her pairing with Vivaan..hmmm...

Hi MB, good to see you back! I just saw the rumor on the forum ... this rumor was circulating around the time RR ended, and around AVTA, and a couple of fans even asked VD and his wife about it, but they said VD hadn't been offered anything with Sanaya.
DeleteOkay, from what I remember, there were rumors at that time, about ST and Gul both doing shows on Star Plus ... one show was supposed to be a college based love story with fresh faces, and the other was supposed to be a mature love story. First the news was that Gul was doing the college story and ST the mature one, then it changed, and it was ST doing the college story, which would be male-oriented, and Gul would do the mature one about a girl and guy meeting in college, the girl becoming a mother, them separating, and meeting years later.
So whether this new rumor is true, or there are just rumors about Sanaya and VD being approached for a new show and the media are presuming the story ... don't know. We will have to wait and watch.
I'm just glad that there are rumors starting finally ... it has been too long without even the whisper of one. Also, if this is true, and this is the story, then Gul will be finally doing a new story, and not her usual rehash-recycle angry young man with a past and chirpy (read silly) girl.
Pairing with Vivian ... I don't think much of him as an actor, but I remember I was favorably impressed during parts of Madhubala ... he maintained the cocky RK attitude much better and for far longer that BS did as ASR ... I remember because both shows were on simultaneously, and I remember getting annoyed as to why BS wasn't able to maintain an attitude the way RK was. Of course BS had lost interest in the show by then, so he wasn't bothered. So Vivian seems more dedicated and committed to his shows for sure ... also his wife and San are both Parsis, and apparently hit it off really well during their London trip ... so that's a really good thing!
I am worried about it being Gul's show ... she tends to lose interest in her shows, and there is usually too much negativity ... that's true for QH and whatever few glimpses I've seen of Humsafars ... though HS is Gul's weakest show yet. But Gul managed to continue QH through the mess of KSG leaving, getting a new Asad, then continuing with a leap with Surbhi, and her show is still doing reasonably well on Zee ... so maybe she has learned her lesson, and will give equal focus to both ML and FL now.
Let's see ... am guessing rumors, once they have started, will continue to come in till things are finalised ... hopefully this means that Sanaya is very much in talks with SP, so something should materialise soon.
My friends on FB want Sanaya to take up Siya Ke Raam instead ... that will be a good show for her to do, it will be a huge challenge, and completely unlike anything she has done earlier. So for the moment, it's wait and watch. :)
