First the confirmed - the second teaser of Vodka Shots is out, with Karan V Grover as Shlok, the vodka addict, who is addicted to both vodka and Keya, the girl he loves. On similar lines as the first, maybe even darker ... well made ... polished. I'm looking forward to this! It's definitely not something for Indian TV, so glad it's slated for the web.

And the second bit of news ... treating with cautious optimism after the last two false starts of KKP and MM ... news of Sanaya and Karan Grover, the same ML of Vodka Shots, in a sitcom on Star Bharat. Early days yet ... but a few sites have reported the news ... let's see if the show gets firmed up. 

Woah! Sanaya Irani to finally make her TV comeback with Karan V Grover

Television actors Sanaya Irani and Karan V Grover are all set to team up once again. The actors who explored the digital space together with web series Vodka Shots recently are coming back to the small screen.

According to a report in Telly Chakkar, the actors have been approached for a show to be aired on Star Bharat by Big Synergy. A source told the portal, "Actor Karan V Grover and Sanaya Irani have been confirmed to play significant roles in the show. Dharmesh Mehta, the director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has been brought on board to direct the project."

It is being said that the show will belong to comedy genre.

Talking about Vodka Shots, the web series revolved around Keya's character making her way through a ruthless life and how she manages to come back to terms with reality after Shlok (Karan) leaves her addicted to Vodka... and him.

Sanaya was slated to make a TV comeback last year opposite Harshad Chopra with Meenu Mausi, but opted out of the project after it was delayed indefinitely. Actors Hiten Tejwani and Chhavi Mittal were also supposed to be part of the show.

Looks like, the most awaited actress Sanaya Irani will soon make her fiction comeback.

According to Reports, Big Synergy is coming up with a project on Star Bharat. Popular TV faces Sanaya Irani and Karan V Grover have been roped to play the lead roles in the show.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma fame director Dharmesh Mehta has been brought on board to direct the daily.

As you know, Sanaya and Karan are sharing a screen space in Beyond Originals second web series Vodka Shots'.

We have seen Sanaya's goofy side in Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Karan has impressed us with his comic timing in Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant

Sanaya Irani became a household name with her role in shows like Miley Jab Hum Tum, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Rangrasiya. Sanaya is loved for her innocent looks as well as her excellent acting skills. The actress, after starring in web series titled Vodka Shots, is all set to return to the small screen with a project on Star Bharat.

According to a report on Telly Chakkar, Big Synergy will be bringing a project on Star Bharat that will star Sanaya Irani and Karan V Grover. A source told the leading entertainment portal, "Actor Karan V Grover and Sanaya Irani have been confirmed to play significant roles in the show. Dharmesh Mehta, the director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has been brought on board to direct the project. The daily soap will be of comedy genre and with these excellent actors and Dharmesh being the director, our expectations are heightened. We have seen Sanaya's goofy side in Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Karan has impressed us with his comic timing in Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant. For the uninitiated, Sanaya came to this glamour world on the advice of her mother. While she was happily pursuing MBA, it was her mother who asked her to try her luck in acting. We can't thank her mother enough for giving a talent powerhouse to this industry.

They are back! Karan V Grover & Sanaya Irani in Big Synergy's next on Star Bharat

It was only last month that we reported about how there are a lot of production houses in talks to launch a variety of offerings under the Star banner and that Big Synergy brining a project on Star Bharat.

The daily will be a comedy and now, we have some exclusive developments coming to our news desk which is sure to excite many fans!

A source informs, "Actor Karan V Grover and Sanaya Irani have been confirmed to play significant roles in the show. Dharmesh Mehta, the director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has been brought on board to direct the project.

RKC - it's a wrap

Last episode of RKC today ... although I lost interest some time back, it still remained a very watchable show for the most part. And with the ending, rushed though it was, the cvs did close a lot of loops ... Pujan and family disappeared, and their comic failed attempts on Vatsalya and Anami were never revealed ... but Sudha's wrongdoings all came to light ... Narottam was absolved ... in 2-3 very beautiful scenes ... Anami-Adhiraj love story was thankfully left dangling in a promise and Adhiraj and family staying back in town ... Satrupa and Baldev's relationship mended ... Pandit-Panditayin back, their truth revealed ... and of course Anami-Satrupa finally got rid of all misunderstandings and biases, and bonded.

The last week had many beautiful scenes ... Narottam revealing his mother as the culprit ... Baldev and Satrupa both approaching Narottam with guilt about how they treated him all these years was long overdue, and was done very well in a series of scenes over the last 2-3 days.

Anami promising to keep Narottam's secret was not required, I would have thought it was better to reveal everything and start on a fresh slate.

BD-Dheeru fight cleared as well ... with Pujan gone, i'm going to presume that Pujan used his guile to drive a wedge between Baldev and Dheeru so that he could get rid of the one honest, upright employee who could have detected his misdeeds ... cvs didn't have time to close that loop.

All in all, I am going to miss this show.  Such superb acting, dialogues, excellent casting ... the cvs never strayed from the storyline and characterization for the most part ... though SP did try to make Anami the typical 'mahaan' FL in the end ... never did get why everyone thought she was so wonderful.

The two actors I will remember are Narayani for her Satrupa ... and Akash Gill for Narottam. Akash got sidelined in the maa-beti wars, but I loved the slow evolution of his character. And he absolutely shone in his scenes in the last week. Loved the Nar-Sat, Nar-BD and Nar-Anami scenes ... especially the last scene today when Baldev hugs him and Satrupa accepts him completely. The hesitation was so natural, but the final acceptance was so sweet for that poor unloved boy. 

NS was a powerhouse all through ... will watch out for her next show. She seems to enjoy powerful characters ... and she is such a treat to watch. 

Mahima is really good for her age ... this girl has a bright future. Loved her scenes with Satrupa - the tashan as well as the final sweet moments. And the scene today where she silently consoles a shattered Satrupa when daroga discloses Vat's truth was beautifully done. 

What I liked best about the show was that there were no out and out villains ... even Sudha had such a powerful back story that there were many times I could empathise completely with her desire for revenge ... till she went on her killing spree, of course ... even so, she did it for a reason... her past truly was a dark past ... unlike most of our angry young men of TV 

BD was good too ... his character didn't get the attention he deserved, but the last week showed his change well. Ankit evolved as an actor through the show, he was raw when he started, but much better by the end. Vikram Singh, Gayatri, MP and PP are of course seasoned actors. 

Last but not least ... costumes, jewelry and sets ... the crew of this show, including the costume and set designer deserve special applause. 

So RKC ends ... and we get some news of Sanaya just at the right time ... plus I'm looking forward to Bepannah with Harshad.
