Sanaya in JDJ8

Written update: Its a 3 minute video . Sanaya is in her casual t shirt ..jai is on the floor getting some massage done . Sanaya teases him , calling him jay bhanushali  and saying " free ka massage hai karvayo karvayo "  jai says " main kahan phas gaya , kis celebrity ke saath " 

Then the reporter starts asking his qs , he is very boring and straight faced  . Asks her that " she was offered JDJ earlier also but didnt do it then , why now " ...sanaya gives her answer " i enjoy dancing and wanted to enjoy JDJ whenever I do it , did not wish to be stressed while doing it with a fiction show ...getting up at 7 am etc . This year I am not doing a fiction show so doing JDJ " 

Second qs " so are her friends and family excited that she is doing jdj " ...answer " they always knew I will do it someday since I enjoy dancing " and says " i enjoy dancing but am not good at it ...i am not good at it ... I'm saying this again, I'm untrained " speaking as though warning her fans to remember that she's not trained .. and starts laughing ...

Asked about Shahid being on the judging panel and will she be jittery about that ... she answers that she is going to be jittery anyway, that's how she is, she's always jittery ... even if those seats were empty, she would still be maha jittery ... I know myself, that's how I am ...'

Qs asked " your good friend dhrasti won jdjin season 6 , have you taken any tips from her " . Sanaya answers " of course she's given me lots of tips  ...i call her up everytime i get stuck ...she has told me the aches and pain will reduce as time elapses and you will start enjoying the process more ... every time I get stressed out, she's the one I call, did this happen to you, ... yeah ...  " starts laughing  , in fact she is laughing through the byte 

Finally boring reporter asks " any message to your fans " ...she said ... " guys i know you have seen my stage performance and think Sanaya is a wow dancer ..but this is a different ball game . So pls lower your expectations of me " starts laughing again  . I promise with every performance I will improve so sit back and enjoy ... " 

SBS 1st July - Sanaya's reaction on being shown Colors blurb about her being on People magazine ... she is genuinely embarrassed!!!

Here's what Sanaya Irani was upto after her show 'Rang Rasiya

Tv's darling Sanaya Irani, had been missing from the screen after Rangrasiya ended. She tells us, "I was just relaxing, holidaying with friends and family, watching movies, eating a lot. Basically, everything that you can't do when you show is on air."

About taking up 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' she says, "I have been offered the show since three years but I was always doing fiction show, so I couldn't take it up. This year I knew I would offered and I would do it. So I consciously did not take up any fiction show."

Speaking about the experience she says, "So far so good. My first act wasn't great but that's alright. Ill get to change few things and learn from it."

About her new sexy avatar on the show she says, " It's a new look, for the audience who has  always seen me in saris and salwars but this is how the real Sanaya is."

However she admits she isn't much of a dancer, "I love dancing, and watching people dance. I look at dancers and think I wish I could do that. I've never been trained in dance and that is not a lie. Although some people have trained and say they have not."

Considering her bestie Drashti Dhmai won Jhalak previously and so did Rangrasiya co-star Ashish Sharma, any tips coming from their side? "Ashish I don't really speak to, but Drashti has a lot of tips to offer. She tries to pep me up, and I keep calling her to ask all small things. Afterall,  who better than her?"

About other contestants she says, " I know Vivian from before. Infact a choreographer was telling us, he is surprised we were eating food together at the very first episode shoot.  It usually takes some weeks for that to happen. We are like one big family."

Buzz was Sanaya and boyfriend Mohit Sehgal were also offered Nach Baliye? "Yes we had been offered the show but I am not a dancer. So If I am have to dance I would like to learn the right technique and dance with a choreographer for now. Once I learn it lets see."

Mohit is also making a comeback with a show on Zee. "Being actors we discuss work often. I'm happy his show is going on air. It's something he hasn't attempted before so I'm excited about it."

-Addendum - I had this strong feeling that Sanaya had decided to do Jhalak this year, and that was the main reason she was not taking up any fiction show. I couldn't believe that she hadn't been offered anything. And I was happy if she did so, because she has always said that she cannot do two shows together. Hence if she wanted to do Jhalak, she had to take a gap from work.
Am glad that she confirmed my belief!
