Back home after a lovely holiday ... need to catch up on all the shows I've missed. Somehow am not too bothered ... absence of Sanaya on screen has killed all the excitement of TV for the moment. Just hope she comes back soon. The only one I want to really catch up on is Downton Abbey.
Watched IKNMP last night ... doesn't feel like I missed anything at all... the story is still exactly where it was a week ago. Only need to find out ... does Ragini know that Suhani is Suhani, the child she assumed was Neil and Rupali's daughter? Doesn't seem so ... she is calling her Kareena. So who does she think Suhani is? Who is this Kareena?
Ganga ... how did Ganga come back to Niranjan babu's house?
Posting this here because I'm missing Sanaya ... TV is just too boring without her!

ReplyDeleteglad to see u back.even i watch IKNMP erratically, but abt suhani, agam lied to ragini that kareena/suhani is his friend and wishes to stay with them till her father comes.so ragini still does not know who is suhani, she assumes suhani to be kareena.hope i cleared ur doubt.
Re magadheera, its a WONDERFUL movie, seriously.its originally a Telugu blockbuster, dubbed in all languages, and the one i'm talking abt is the hindi dubbed version, its the best.usually airs in max often.also its available in youtube.

DeleteRead the summary you posted below ... sounds interesting!
MAGADHEERA SUMMARY.
ReplyDeleteHarsha, a dirt-bike racer, is taking an auto rickshaw to the airport in the rain. He spots the blurry outline of a woman trying to flag the auto down, and gestures to her that it is already occupied. As he does, their fingers accidentally touch, and Harsha feels an electric current passing through him, which triggers a few fleeting images. Later, feeling that this was the girl he was destined to be with, he enquires about her to a woman named Indira (called "Indu"), without realising that she is the same girl. Indu, thinking that he is stalking her, misdirects him. She and her friends take advantage of Harsha, duping him out of his finances. Meanwhile, Indu's distant cousin Raghuveer, lusts after her. He manipulates Indu and her father into trusting him. However, whenever he attempts to touch a sleeping Indu, he sees visions of a warrior slitting his throat. Raghuveer consults a tantrik, Ghora, who reveals to him that in a prior life, he was a prince who lusted after Indu, and was killed by her lover, a warrior. Raghuveer is determined to find the reincarnation of the warrior and kill him. Meanwhile, Harsha discovers how Indu and her friends have been defrauding him, and she falls in love with him.
Raghuveer discovers that Harsha is the reincarnation of the warrior. He murders Indu's father and frames Harsha, causing Indu to hate Harsha. As Raghuveer and Indu leave in a helicopter, Harsha tries to catch them but fails; falling into a lake, he faces a near-death experience and learns about his past life in 1609. In that year, Emperor Sher Khan is preparing to invade the kingdom of Udayghad when he hears of the brave warrior Kala Bhairava (Harsha), commander of the Udayghad army. King Vikram Singh's daughter, Mithravindha Devi (Indu), loves Bhairava, but he holds himself back. Her cousin, Ranadev Billa (Raghuveer), lusts after Mithra and plans a competition between himself and Bhairava; the winner will marry her and the loser will be banished from Udayghad. Bhairava's victory leads to Ranadev's banishment. Vikram Singh, however, secretly requests that Bhairava not marry his daughter, because Bhairava has a high chance of dying in battle, and he does not wish to see Mithra widowed. Though shocked, Bhirava concedes to the king's request and publicly declines to marry Mithra, leaving her distraught.
contd.
Bhairava then takes Mithra, his soldiers, and his caretakers to the Bhairavakona temple atop a cliff to seek blessings from God. Mithra demands Bhairava admit his love for her. When he does not respond, she upsets the sacred items they have brought for the puja and, using her own blood, paints an image on a nearby rock of Bhairava leaving his true love in order to do his duty. An injured soldier arrives to tell Bhairava that Ranadev and Sher Khan's army have killed Vikram Singh and are now rushing toward them. They arrive shortly, and Sher Khan challenges Bhairava to battle his soldiers. Bhairava boldly accepts the challenge and kills a hundred soldiers, but is severely injured in the process. Sher Khan, impressed by Bhairava'a bravery, has a change of heart. However, Ranadev continues attacking, eventually wounding Mithra fatally, but he is in turn killed by Bhairava. A dying Mithra asks Bhairava to confess his love, but before he can respond, she dies and falls off the cliff. Distraught, he follows her and falls to his own death.
ReplyDeleteAfter learning about his past life, Harsha is rescued from the lake by a fisherman named Solomon (who is the reincarnation of Sher Khan) and, with Soloman's help, visits Udayghad. He gains access to Raghuveer's palace and overhears Ghora telling Raghuveer that if Indu's memories of the past are not revived within the day they can never be revived, and she will be with Raghuveer forever. Harsha kidnaps Indu and takes her to Bhairavakona and in the process, Ghora is accidentally killed by Raghuveer. Raghuveer arrives by helicopter and asks Indu to come with him; however Indu sees Mithra's painting, and her past-life memories are revived; she reunites with Harsha. Harsha fights Raghuveer, and with the help of Solomon, manages to kill him.

ReplyDeleteSo the million dollar qn is:WHEN WILL BE SANAYA BACK ONSCREEN?
this is really a looooooong break!
waisey, what do u think abt the rumours, would she be doing vivian show on colors/guls show on SP supposedly with barun/something else?
i dont want her to do JDJ this yr,even KJO is not there this season, plus always a colors contestant wins.
ratna.
ps saw in SBS that neil-ragini reunion coming up,the scene was good.
Lol ... I wish I knew the answer to that million dollar question ... I'm losing interest in all Indian TV with Sanaya not there. No other actor or actress has managed to spark my interest ... and believe me, I've been TRYING to find something good to watch to pass the time!
DeleteBarun is NOT doing the Gul show ... or anything else on TV. Thank God for that! I want him to stay far away from Sanaya ... he really seems to be a bad luck charm for his projects ... they all either get stuck or fail miserably! The only hit he has had in his life has been with Sanaya!
Gul's new show has Nakul Mehta and two other guys ... I read an article which gave the name of the girl opposite the third guy ... both the guy and girl are unknown, so I don't remember either name. No confirmation yet whether Sanaya is a part of the show or not. No further news on the Colors show either ... either on VD or the FL.
I feel she might do JDJ this year, she has always wanted to do it, and she has always been busy with her fiction show ... this time, if she doesn't sign a fiction show by the end of this month, I think we will hear news of her doing JDJ this year. As for voting ... it depends totally on the relative popularity of the contestants ... Colors contestants don't always win ... GC won when he was on Zee ... but let's cross that bridge when we come to it.
Gangaa ...bright, bold and very, very stubborn. Why does Sudha bua have her knife into Gangaa? Does she recognise herself in Gangaa ... or is it just for the sake of having an antagonist?
ReplyDeleteAmmaji seems to be softening towards Gangaa, and Sagar is maturing and growing rapidly ... he cannot see Gangaa in trouble or in distress, and he has to help her. The spoiled selfish brat is growing up.
I'm glad Sagar is going to help Ganga get her wedding saree and her jewelry back ... that's her only wealth, and its hers alone ... she should get it back. One wish coming true.
DeleteAnother wish came true ... in the precap yesterday when Sudha bua cursed Gangaa, I thought that should break her fast ... and today Gangaa pointed out exactly that. And Ammaji corroborated. Ammaji is definitely softening towards Gangaa ... and Sagar is changing too ... for the better.
Now I hope Gangaa asks to study English, so she can read what Sagar writes.
Adding comments here because I don't feel like making a new post ... will make one for May.
ReplyDeleteGangaa ... So it needs the sage advice of another widow to drum some sense into both Ammaji's and Niranjan babu's heads, to stop being so obstinate (Ammaji) and obdurate (Niranjan), and try to meet halfway.
Also I guess for the purpose of impact, they wanted to keep Ganga in her widow's sari, otherwise the impact of her being a widow would be lost.
So Ammaji relents, and grumbles that while she doesn't object to Ganga studying, Ganga also needs to learn the sanskar and reeti rivaz of being a widow, whatever those may be ... hullo, I thought the purpose of the show was to show how irrelevant and dated these concepts are ... but not so soon, I guess ...
And Niranjan agrees that Ganga will continue to follow those precepts, but in addition, will be taught at home by a masterji, so that she stays in her widow's clothes, she doesn't wear school skirts, and she doesn't mingle with boys ... but her education has to continue.
The cute part was how Ganga was completely with Ammaji on this one ... with terrifying memories of an evil, stick-wielding village school master, she doesn't WANT to go to school, or study with a masterji. So while Madhavi and the two boys rejoice that Ganga is allowed to study, Ganga herself is dismayed.
And being the imp she is, she resolves to shoot her gum from Ammaji's shoulder, and make sure that Ammaji disqualifies the new masterji. :)
I was hoping Niranjan would show Ammaji the letter written by Sagar and Ganga ...
IKNMP - seems to have reached the downhill slope that all Ekta shows reach sooner or later. So the very silly MU cleared by a DNA test ... neither did Ragini trust Nachiket enough to believe him when he insisted that Suhani was not his child, nor did Nachiket trust Ragini enough, or deem it fit to tell his wife the truth about his ex-girlfriend's baby, although he did expect said wife to agree to accept the baby and bring her up in their house. Apparently the vow to keep the secret of his ex-girlfriend overrode his marital vows of sharing everything with his wife ... and Rupali's baby was more important to him than his own children, even though Suhani had a masi who was capable of caring for her.
ReplyDeleteAnd all it took to clear a fifteen year old MU was a DNA test organised by two teenage kids. In all these years, Nachiket never thought it important or necessary to try and remove Ragini's doubt.
Cannot sympathise much with either protagonist ... let's see how long I follow this show.
New show I'm following - REPORTERS.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, despite the pretty lacklustre promos, I'm enjoying Reporters so far. Rajeev K is very good, and I am liking Kritika too.
The scenes I liked yesterday ... when Kabir announces Ananya's name as the reporter responsible for the sting, and Ananya has tears of joy in her eyes as she stares at Kabir ... not only does she get her job back, but also her idol has acknowledged that she did a good job. Publicly. On air.
And Kabir looks at the pure unadulterated joy on Ananya's face as she celebrates with her friends ... and remembers a time when he too, was young and innocent enough to enjoy the sheer pleasure of doing good work in his job. Not just a good job at work ... but good work in his job. Today he is cynical, jaded, he recognizes the manipulative power of the media and journalists ... but there was a time when he truly felt he, a journalist, could make a difference ... he could change the world. And he sees the reflection of that old Kabir in Ananya.
So Ananya has her dream come true ... she gets to work with Kabir Sir as his intern.
Am liking both the actors ... never liked Kritika much in her earlier shows, but I did like her offscreen iv's ... she seemed fun and down to earth. Am liking her here ... she is far better than Sukirti, who is doing a similar role in Dilli Wali Thakur Girls.
Never watched Rajeev K in a show before, but I liked him in Sach Ka Saamna ... and now I see why he was so popular. He is a very good actor, very expressive, and very subtle in his acting and expressions.
