Movies and Shows We're Watching

Watched Best Exotic Marigold Hotel finally ... it's been on my list for a long time. Very nice movie, a bit cliched, but the acting is stellar.

Shows -

Still watching Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh ... I like the way they're taking Shobha ... she's very real, she makes mistakes, she stumbles, she picks herself up. She wants to trust her husband of nine years ... it's not so easy to break off a relationship so abruptly, even if she has been so badly betrayed. And she's a mother, and her kids miss their father. Dharam kshetre Kurukshetre.

and

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein ... have a feeling this is going to start going down the tubes shortly. Ishita is already mahaan devi. It's still watchable though.

Everest ... decent start. The leads are newbies and are raw in their acting skills, but again, it's watchable. Was disappointed in the girl's story, or rather, in the lack of depth in it ... I thought the father must have lost a son or something, to make him so bitter and biased against his daughter. But he just doesn't want a daughter ... or rather, he wanted a son more. Strange in an educated Services man. Apart from that, it's started off well. The scenes at the start of the show with the location shots in the mountains were breath-taking ... although fortunately they were a dream.

Adding here the link of the Sanish tea ad in HQ. Sanaya is looking so fresh and adorable! Nice to see Ashish smiling!

  1. ADHY ... Shobha lies in court to save Samarth, and is caught out almost immediately. Shocking that neither her husband, not his friend, nor his mother, are worried about her at all ... their thoughts immediately go back to how to save Samarth now that Shobha's testimony was found to be false. What a horrible husband and MIL!

The scenes between Vikram's Nani and the kids were cute ... both exchanging their pat names for Vikram :)
Vikram is bonding with the kids slowly ... good going.

Everest ... starting to like the show more ... the leads are slowly beginning to settle into their roles. Both the guys are cute. All three have their back stories. Anjali's is the weakest and the most transparent ... she wants to prove her worth to her father. Akash wants to overcome the grief and guilt over his friend's death, and his own vertigo. Arjun has his own secrets ... his humble background. All have their own personal Everests to conquer, as well as the huge mountain.

  2. Everest is the only show I am able to watch with any semblance of regularity at the moment. Agreed that the Anjali's story seems to be weakest but hope they build it up well with time. Also hope PH is able to sustain the original story line and momentum on even keel throughout.

Got to hand it to you Dia for being able to sit through YHM. Raman's character is such an a**hole that I just wonder why would an educated and competent person like Ishita put up with him!?!?

Thanks for sharing the tea ad - refreshing to see Sanaya onscreen, accompanied by a smiling Ashish ;)

    1. Lol ... I sit through YHM while I'm browsing the net and relaxing after getting back from work. Am not connected to any of the characters ... so I don't really bother.

The one I'm enjoying more is ADHY ... though I really wonder how Shobha spent nine years with such a self-centred a****le of a guy ... Samarth is such a slimeball!

  4. Hi Dia and gang, long time, missing all you ladies, you see after RR nothing else seems worthy of watching and discussing!!!....

Have been watching few shows irregularly, some of them have atrocious story lines...feel like pulling my hair out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you Aki , with respect to Raman Bhalla of YHM.... and in the serial he is supposed to be some head of / businessman of Asia or something on those lines!!! He is such a uncouth person, good lord. The difference between him and Ashok ( the negative character ) is only that he is not evil.
Now Ishita's friend Abhimanyu- he seems to be more suitable, polished for his role.....Anyways, its Ekta's baby what else do you expect??!! ;-/

Now I have to confess.. I kept watching Gul's- Humsafars, even after I felt I am setting up myself for heartbreak...that's Gul's favorite pass-time come up with this good and intriguing story line, viewers get hooked on to it and then everything goes down the drain and she moves on to her new found love ;-/ ;-(
Do I even need to mention the names here?
And I hate to say that I am loving the way the story is progressing, the new girl is improving with each episode in the acting department, as for Harshad he is undoubtedly good, and they have trimmed down the ultra-bushy eyebrows...that helps as well ;-)
And the signature 4 lions move, none of the characters are how they appear, there's more to everybody's faces and stories. Damn....

As for Sanaya and Ashish's tea ad- am I the only one who did not like it???!!!!!!! They both looked good alright, but I cant point my finger at exactly what is it that din't sit well with me about the ad??!!??

Alright that's a lot of ranting for now, more later.

Keep the blog buzzing and thanks for continuing with your posts Dia.

    Love,

    1. MB,

I've been watching Humsafars off and on ... more off than on, I admit ... I usually forward all the girl's scenes and the family scenes ... I find them too boring! The girl is an okay actress, but I just can't connect to her somehow ... she is very inconsistent as a character ... so silly and immature at work ... I cannot connect to that at all.

I like Harshad ... he is a really good actor ... and I like Zaki ... that actor first debuted in DMG season 2, and he was bad there, he had improved a lot now. But the major problem with Humsafars for me is that it is a mishmash of IPK and ZGH, I watched both those shows, loved IPK, and liked ZGH for many reasons ... and it's just too much deja vu and repetition here.

One thing I have to say about Gul ... her music is fabulous, she gets it right almost every time. Except Geet - I hated that mahiiiii! I love the whistle tune in HS.

I think another problem I have is that I can't connect to a love story any more, unless it has Sanaya *sheepish grin* Or unless it has a really good actress ... and so far no one else has appealed to me the same way.

Sanaya and Ashish's tea ad ... I just liked watching Sanaya in it ... she looked fresh and young and very sweet. The ad itself was very 70's ... Ashish had a major Rajesh Khanna hangover!

      Delete
    2. Hey Dia, what's ZGH? Never watched that one, I think... IPK-i love, I have no idea about the other serial that you mentioned , maybe that's why HS story is interesting to me..hmmm...
The good thing is so far Gul's angry young man hasn't manhandled his future love interest as normally as her heroes do!!!!!!!!!!! thank god for that, hope it remains the same way too. Phew..

    3. ZGH - Zindagi Gulzar Hai ... Pakistani serial, it recently aired on that new Zindagi channel. About a girl whose father left her mother, because she had three daughters, and married again for a son, which he had with his new wife. Daughter was very bitter, hated men, while the mother maintained a cordial relation with the father and with her stepson, who visited their house often. Mother was a teacher, and supported herself and raised her daughters without any help from the father. All three daughters studied a lot, the eldest, Kashaf was a topper ... younger two also did well and got married well, helped by Kashaf who got a prestigious Govt job after clearing the Civil services exam ... seems to be the equivalent of the ICS/IAS exam. While the son remained a nikamma. His mom was always jealous of the first wife and kept egging the husband to neglect them and never give them any money. He sold the house in which they lived, so they had to move to a smaller house ... he wanted his daughter to marry his brother's son, and when she refused, he forced them out of their house.

Kashaf met her old classmate with whom there was rivalry during college ... cutting a long story short, they married and he helped her get over her bitterness of her father's betrayal. He was a really good guy, he wanted a girl like Kashaf, full of her other's moral values as well as educated so able to fit in the modern world. The women in his life were these young flighty rich girls, only interested in partying and having a good time, and not interested in managing a home. Basically he wanted best of both worlds, traditional and modern, he got that in Kashaf. But he was a really nice guy ... bit of a rich brat in college, and he improved later and became ideal husband, encouraged his wife to work etc etc ...

I do find many of these Pak shows a tad regressive in their outlook. This one was better. The basic story was that girls are as good as guys ... daughters are as good, and can be better than sons. And educating daughters is good, working daughters can support their parents.

  5. For those interested ... Barun's movie, MAMR is releasing in December ... the first look and trailer released a few days ago.

First look was awful .. trailer was actually not bad. If they had taken a younger, fresh heroine, the movie might even have worked somewhat ... Shenaz is awful ... and for a romcom, the heroine has to be decent. Barun is a mix of ASR and his role in BHPH, which is apparently close to what he is in real life ... I liked the parts where he was more ASR-ish. Comedy is a very difficult genre to do without going overboard ... not sure how he will do.

    1. Alright...watched the teaser...and in ASR style,-WHAT THE ****!!!!

Jeez... You were right, the teaser is horrendous and trailer is okay and their the completely mismatched weird couple onscreen...ayayyooo...
Well I am for sure not interested in watching the movie, and Barun's acting seems exactly like the 'Shravan' of BHPH..so far in the trailer.Never liked it.

  6. dia,

sorry for the late reply.thnx for the post.and i'm so glad to see MB back and aki also.was missing all of them in the blog.now if madhu, shwetha[dia,is she in IF?she is MIA for a long time now.it'd be nice if someone could get in touch with her],su and all others.

OK,so my rant is going to be long [as if it was anytime short, hai na?] this time and it will be divided into atleast 3 sep. posts.hope u won't mind:-)

    1.GETTING OVER RR.

it still hurts, dia.those haunting bg music, the songs[esp.'uski nazar..','naazuk si naiyya','saiyyan ve'] and so on.no,dont think i'm rewatching RR,NO.and whatever the ruthless, stone hearted ST did to RR with the horrible leap for those elusive TRPs which he never got,he wont be forgiven/given brownie points.was he/GH/MD that STUPID to think so????

they tortured the handful of remaining loyal viewers with the leap.little dhruv reminded paro in every scene, and innocent viewers were made to weep buckets and tormented on a daily basis.hum sab ka kya kazoor tha?that we watched his show and loved it?and his creative team went on to call us 'a bunch of idiots'.u know my state with the entire leap thing.and at IF,i saw members like princesssunara almost going into depression.[her profile pic still makes me uncomfortable,u may know why,hai na?]

i just want to forget the whole myrah chapter,i hated it,u know di.and RR IF page is helping me big time.no mention of myra anywhere.its just parud hamesha.and i'm reading parud ffs too[i dunno why?].there're not much, but there's nothing else to do in rr forum.and multimediaa's parud family pic edits
are too good.have u ever seen it?

i know dia,its a FICTION.but u know its difficult.kaash,i could forget that i ever watched a show named RR.[can u help ur choti sis out of this mess, dia, pls.]u know,i've mentioned b4,i never cried seeing any hindi soap but rr/sanaya made me[and many others] do so.all said and done,I WONT WATCH ANY ST SHOW EVER.AND NOT ANYTHING WITH GH/MD TOO.even if he casts sanaya also,I REALLY HAD ENOUGH OF THIS MAD PRODUCER.first madhubala,DDEJ and then RR.he ruined all of it.[he should really take classes from kekta, she's far better compared to him]

all the awards are rigged,i know.stilli had more faith on ITAA ut this yr,when it was held by colors[not star plus, wonder why?],it was bound to be rigged.and they gave best jodi to zain-aaliya.like SERIOUSLY????and harshad arora/zain BEST POPULAR ACTOR????????against other talented nominees including anas rashid,AS,shabbir and so on.i guess it all leads to #colorsrocks *headdesk*.and sandhya beendni got best actress, anyways she's far better than aaliya.and BI fans call SI's acting OTT?have they ever seen their aaliya act?????

ashish got name and fame thru RR.agreed, but no appreciation for SI.for me,paro's character was more prominent than rudra and SI nailed it.i wonder if RR would have ever got this fame had it not been for sanaya.still,i dont get why critics/jury can't acknowledge her talent?

[[and one tiny-weeny thing.SI's apprehension of playing a mom.i dont understand.the actresses playing gopi vahu and jodha are so young still they manage to act as moms very well.i love sanaya in love stories.but to get mature roles[say, like ishitha/priya of BALH],i guess she ought to shed such inhibitions.[just my opinion, dia,no offence to anyone ok.] what do u all think?]]

    more later:-)

    1. Ratna ... I agree with you on most of what you said ... though I am more or less over RR now. I think the ending with Rudra Myrah did that for me ... It just put me off the show so much that I was happy for it to end. The last two months don't exist for me either ... it was like watching a different show.

Although I have to say, some of the Rudra Myrah scenes were really intense ... hats off to the actors for doing them so convincingly when neither of them was really happy with the story.

I have no faith in the Indian telly awards ... each channel gets a quota ... Colors used their quota for Harshika and Ashish ... and ignored Sanaya completely. Which is what makes me sure that she has left Colors, and is not going to be doing a show with them now, while Ashish will probably stay with Colors.
Giving Harshad Best Actor was a JOKE ... this was not a Colors award ... it was a pan-channel award. So was giving them Best Jodi ... completely ridiculous! Preetika is plastic ... and caked with makeup ... for the first few months of BI, I only ever saw a single expression on her face ... supercilious disdain ... that was it.

Don't be so mad with ST ... after all, he did give us Paro and Rudra in the first place ... he created those beautiful characters, so have to give him credit for that. He ruined them, or the channel ruined them ... God knows. I haven't watched much of Madhubala and DDEJ not at all, so I have no idea what he did with those two ... but I am a bit apprehensive about Sanaya doing his next show ... if she is doing it, that is. No confirmed reports yet.

She can play a mom, I feel ... but a mom of a young child. Don't want her to get slotted into the mom bracket, and play mom to grown up kids ... she looks young enough to play lead roles for the next few years at least. Anyway, that would depend on the story ... if she likes the story enough, she might take it up.

    2. Hello Ratna, Dia, MB and others,

Thanks for remembering me, Ratna. Just dropped by to say hello. Just watched a couple of hindi movies and english movies. Not into serials these days. So, didn't know what to comment. I was never a serial watcher, in the first place. I changed that for RR. But I think RR effectively killed any desire I had for watching serials. :P :P

  7. 2.OTHER SHOWS

i cant follow anything much regularly.only one i guess is YHM.

i like karan-divyanka chemistry.esp.these days.and the actor playing mani is too good.has much polished and positive characterisation than RKB.recently,he is shown as saviour to ishu even b4 raman.what do u think dia?will ishu finally end up with mani[he's much better than rajat of BALH] and raman back to shagun?i can't understand what's cooking in ekta's mind?any guesses????

    barely watched ADHY.didn't understand much.

dia,are u not watching EHT?its nearing its climax and is interesting.i'm looking fwd to dev's reaction on finding durga=nitya.i like the actor.he effectively portrays his earnest feelings.but durga/nitya's feelings abt dev is still unclear.she still talks abt leaving the marriage and so on.what do u think?

everest:just watched 1 or 2 epis.the military man dislikes his daughter;that was one of the tracks in main hoon na too.just an ok serial.

    contd in next post.

    1. I'm watching quite a few ... not following any very regularly though.
YHM, EHT ... its getting interesting, and it is winding up in December, so all the villains will be brought to book soon ... good to watch. Its no fun if the villains keep getting away with everything, and the good guys are made to look like fools. Besides, i like Simone Singh ... she makes an awesome Sakshi Goenka ... she is as poised and polished as Victoria Grayson, the original in Revenge.

So yes, I am watching EHT.

I am enjoying ADHY ... its very real, the characters are good, though all a little exaggerated ... typical Ekta ... but its a limited episodes show, so hopefully she won't ruin the story by dragging and multiple marriages and leaps.

      Delete
    2. Got to hand it to Ekta for the way she handles her serials - there is a grounding to her story lines that pulls me back to see the progression - I should qualify that comment by saying it applies to YHM and ADHY, both of which I watch irregularly and only to the extent that the story holds my interest.
EHT is wrapping up nicely and probably will watch to the end. As you so rightly said, a successful show needs a strong foundation, and EHT fits the bill. I am glad the show is wrapping up in december so hopefully, no meaningless meanderings.

  8. 3.RETURN OF SARUN AS ARNAV KHUSHI.

i know its a far fetched dream.but saruns chemistry was unmatched.they made arshi so real,so wonderful.hope gul will cast them again along with the entire cast in ipk sequel in star plus.even ekta can cast them together, hai na?

[nobody can forget majorsaab and his paro's beautiful lovestory.kudos to sanish for that.i would never mind sanish getting paired again.sometimes,i think some pdn.house like sphere origins should buy RR's rights and re-tell the original story with the same cast and all.see, they did a good job with saraswatichadra,it had a happy ending too.]

i watched MAMR trailer dia.u r right, the girl is awful.and barun is clearly stereotyped as ASR.and his comic look never amused me.dunno how the film will run.aaj kal audience ki pulse unpredictable hai.see, from whatever i red in wiki, happy new year hardly had a solid storyline.but it got 150 crore collections, may be just bcoz it was an SRK film.anyways,i still want to see sarun back with some binding contract on barun*wink*.

    HOPE U ALL WILL REPLY.

    with love,

    1. I doubt very much that Barun will come back to TV in a hurry ... his MAMR is finally releasing, his second movie, the JA one is releasing next year too ... or so I heard ... JA films have a lot of unreleased movies waiting in the queue. So BS returning to Tv seems unlikely ... and even if he did, I don't think they could replicate that magic that they did as Arnav Khushi. It was not just the actors, although they added a lot to it ... but the basic foundation was very strong ... the story, the screenplay, the dialogues, the direction, the music - IPK had some of the best music, both BG score as well as songs ... San and BS were brilliant together, but they had a fantastic foundation to work on. I've always said that good shows can run even with poor actors ... like DABH is running with sandhya beendni, or in spite of her ;) ... poor shows cannot run for long even with good actors ... but when you get good shows and good actors together, it is a winning combination. And that's what IPK was, from the leads to almost each and every supporting character ... even Nani, Mami, NK, La ... all are unforgettable.
To replicate all of that again, would be very difficult, and I don't think anyone would try, because comparisons would always be there. So I'm not holding my breath for a repeat ... besides I don't trust Barun any more ... even with a water tight contract he could always walk out, and that fear would always be there.

I personally think even Sanish would not work again in a different setting ... for one, Ashish is not classically good looking, he suited the rough small-town BSD officer perfectly, but he wasn't nearly as good as businessman Rudra ... he doesn't have that sophisticated look. Which is one of the reasons I never connected to the Myrah story - Myrah was totally out of Rudra's league ... Paro was ideal for him.
But whatever Sanaya takes up next, I hope she gets a good story and a good role ... and good trps. As long as her costar is a decent actor, the pairing will work ... after Sajan, I never thought I would like anyone with her other than Mohit, I even remember feeling weird during the first few Arshi scenes ... but got over it when Arshi took off ... when IPK ended, I had no love left for Barun, but I still didn't like FK ... I liked Anuj much better. Of course he was a much better actor. Ashish was good from the word go ... their first roll in the sand had me hooked.
So am sure that her next pairing too will captivate us soon ... as long as her costar is a good actor. If he is good looking, it will eb icing on the cake - Sanaya herself is so beautiful, she can make almost anyone look good just by standing next to her.

Barun is no SRK ... so I doubt MAMR will do anywhere near as well ... it will depend totally on content, there are no big names to attract the audience.

      Delete
    2. Sorry Ratna, but have to disagree with you on the pairings. Most of these are a one-off and cannot be replicated a la SRK-Kajol, etc. Sanaya is a fantastic actress and she has the magical touch whereby she lifts not only the story line, but also serial and especially her co-actors to a much, much higher level than would have been the case otherwise. The most unfortunate part, so far, has been she has not gotten her due recognition for her hard work and talent. The only people who seem to walk away with the accolades are her co-stars, and apologies if I hurt your feelings here, but neither Barun nor Ashish are on par with her - they improved tremendously while they were with her, but individually, no!

      Delete
    3. forgot to add: also agree with Dia that a successful pairing and show rests upon the coming together of a very strong technical and creative team plus co-actors to pull it off. Just pairing two good looking actors together will not deliver the results you are looking for.

  9. Watched the first episode of Itna Karo Na Mujhse Pyaar ... the new Ronit Roy show on Sony.

Quite frankly ... disappointed. The FL is weak. Characterization ... she is very bitter about the breakup of her marriage, has compensated by being an extra strict mother, and also a workaholic. Quite extreme as all EK heroines ... never took a day off, never took any holidays, put all her money into her children's education ... okay, that last part is understandable. But the rest ... did she never attend any school events, any PTA meetings, take any day off because one of the kids was sick etc ... or spend any time at all to have some fun with them? Has her bitterness over her failed marriage taken over her entire life to that extent? Yes, she provided for her children in material terms ... but emotional support? Kids would have missed their dad too, did she attempt to be both mother and father, or was she too busy being father and forgot to be mother? She did lose my sympathy to some extent ... her bitterness seemed to pervade her personality too deeply. Her meeting with the flirtatious guy at the start, who turns out to be husband of her patient ... again very contrived.
And how the hell can an administrator of a hospital sign a consent form for surgery?! That part is ridiculous! Just to show that she is so concerned for her patients' welfare ... she could be hauled up in court by the relatives if things went wrong. All these serial makers REALLY need to get their medical facts right!!!

How can an 18 year old daughter be studying medicine ... is she finishing school or is she in first year medical college? Didn't understand that part. Did understand why Ragini is so against her daughter getting married at the age of 18 ... but honestly, wasn't there another way of breaking the rishta, other than acting so obnoxious.
Although the words used were rather interesting ... the words every boy's parents use when asking for dowry ... they have to recover the cost of educating and bringing up their son ... she used the same for her daughter. Seen from that context, how obnoxious they sound ... hope parents of every hopeful groom realise that.

The best friend/boss ... nice guy ... comes home opportunely just in time to make the daughter realise the error of her thinking, and drive home how wonderful their mother is, and how many sacrifices she has made for the children ... EK obviously doesn't believe in being subtle at all.

All in all, not very impressed. Will wait and see how it goes. Pity ... I was looking forward to this one.

  10. Hey Dia is it okay if I want to post something about the current episodes on 'Humsafars'?

Its reached a weird place in story front, and I am baffled to know this concept is okay with Indian audience? Considering they have made a big deal for far less issues. Granted that the whole story hasn't come out yet...Read a few post on IF too, looks like people are all okay with the whole thing, in fact are gushing about love brewing between the two lead's?!! HUH! Hmm.. maybe I am taking this way too seriously?!. Din't wanna post it on IF and stir the 'hornet's nest'- if you know what I mean, your's is the only safe heaven that I know of regarding this. ;-)

  11. Firstly, thanks Dia for the green signal, secondly, Ratna you are almost right about my thoughts regarding Humsafars.
    @ Ratna,
i understand your strong feelings towards RR, i went through similiar emotions at the abrupt end of IPKKND. It had started going downhill from kidnapping story onwards loosing its magic once it reached the sheetal story for me, and whom to blame? The lead actor, the producer, story writers? Plus with RR i felt like history repeated itself to certain extent. Anyways they say there is no use crying over spilt milk- hence simply move on.
But just like i got over IPKKND you will too, takes time and maybe Sanaya's next project! ;-) finger's crossed.
RR ending did not affect me much thanks to their second season, the storyline was so atrocious and its execution that it served as a detox on its own to me!!!!

Its good that there are many other serials out there that we can watch for time pass and then sometimes comes along this gem of a work which we can all enjoy while it lasts! ;-)

  12. Now coming to Humsafars, in case you don't know what's going on at the moment, well Saahir is actually married ( kind of guessed it beforehand ) his wife is in a Coma from past 7 years, but looks like there is more to it. His bitterness and anger , looks like is not only because his wife Zeenath is hospitalised and with the flashback shown from past few days, it looks he was happy go lucky artist, who was madly in love with his wife and promised her that he would be among the richest men.
also saahir is developing feelings towards Arzoo ( the female lead ) but also punishes himself for feeling so and is pushing her away without success of course.
Looks like there is more than what meets tne eye with respect to his marriage and his wife, rumor is his wife is not all saintly.
so there is more to the whole story and maybe i am getting way ahead of myself but everybody seems to be okay with the lead's falling in love, the eye locks, gushing about how cute they are. But i found it totally weird! His eife is in a Coma tbey are still married, no matter how the relationship was, so far they only show t b at they had a good marriage a d he was in love with her, that even more why i was creeped out looking at his feeling towards Arzoo, i don't wanna sound like a moral police, i am all in for remarriage no one desers

but if this okay why was it a big deal when the showed a similiar concept in RR with Mala? So its okay for a man to move on, but if a woman dares to do the same its shameful or not acceptable, .... i know this argument has no end.

Well that was long, i don't know whether i evn make any sense? Was never good at penning my thoughts, but feels good to put this out there :-)

    1. Not following Humsafars but get what you mean - I don't think the "audience" has moved on to the next stage of "what is sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander" - which is an absolute pity considering that the literacy rate is supposedly much higher than 50 years age. :-((

    2. I got what you meant, MB ... no worries! :)

I'm not following Humsafars either ... but I think one big difference is that Mala left behind her son when she walked out of an abusive marriage, knowing that her husband might abuse the child as well. So that did put her in the wrong.

Humsafars ... from what I gleaned from the forum, Sahir and his first wife had a normal marriage, and she wanted him to do well and become a rich man ... now that doesn't automatically make her evil. All women would like their husbands to do well, and would push them to do so. So no idea how they are going to justify Sahir falling in love with Zoo ... besides, from what little I've seen, I don't understand why he has fallen for her at all. And a married man falling for another woman is just wrong ... maybe that's why the Muslim backdrop, to justify the second marriage.

    3. Hi Dia, I totally agree with you that all women want their husbands to do well in life, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, heck I belong to the same group too!!! but the girl playing Zeenath's role is either a very good actress or the opposite, because so far in their flashbacks, I felt she looked malicious when she said those lines, or maybe its just her face or maybe that's what I want to see to justify why Saahir is falling in love with Arzoo now, because I too don't see any other reason for him falling for her!!!

As for Mala she did try to take her son with her but her husband caught her on time and did not allow her to... she did say she tried later on too but she wasn't successful, but you are right maybe she din't pursue enough... but that's not relevant anymore either huh?....

Anyways thanks for replying, planning on continuing watching Humsafars for now, hope they tie up the whole story neatly, otherwise I moving on too...Sigh... its so boring on TV land these days...
