More pics -San looks gorgeous in the outfits, she has chosen well. The blue saree is a killer. The yellow lehnga is lovely, she is one of very few people who can carry off that teekha color. She looks pretty as a picture in pink, young and lovely.

My comments as I watch the interview ...

San said she has been travelling the world the last three years ... and my heart sank, I thought she would talk about her holidays ... fortunately she went on to say that although she has been away from fiction, she's  still travelling to promote her old shows ... so she feels very lucky and blessed.

Hmm ...  Sanaya, hope you realise those old shows won't keep you going forever ... you do  need a new one now. Let's hope Zindabad gets you back in action.

San sounds a little arrogant when she says she's kind of used to the reaction when she travels ... and she listed the places she had been ... London, Egypt, Indonesia ... although she added that she still gets very overwhelmed and feels blessed and happy.
Ashish may be on his  first international trip, so he is still quite overwhelmed and happy.

Siya ke Raam is coming back on Star Bharat in India, whether after its popularity in Thailand or because of popular demand, he's not sure, he would like to believe the latter! He speaks more about it's popularity in Indonesia, Middle East, US, UK, South Africa ...many places. He's most surprised about its popularity in the Middle East, despite the story being about the roots of Hinduism. He feels that if it is popular among people who  don't  know about Hinduism, then the makers have done well to put the deeper meaning across.
True that!!!

He seems to be rather happy with his female fan following.

Have to say, Ashish speaks much better than San. She sounded good when she was speaking with Barun, because he was such a lousy speaker ... with Ashish San sounds more shallow.  He speaks about growing with each role and honing his craft ... San talks about being loved and popularity.

Next phase of interview is all about SKR and its popularity the world over ... Ashish speaks well. talks about his surprise that it did well even in the Middle East where people have no idea about Hinduism, and he is so happy about that.

Sanaya is full of praises for Ashish ... nice to see, as he was definitely her best costar in terms of acting talent and dedication to his craft. I hope speaking about her work makes her more keen and determined to get back to work ASAP. She also needs to associate with more intellectual actors who take their craft seriously, if she wants to stay in the game.

They are asked how they were cast ... Ashish gives a simple answer ... because they were the best! Laughter.

San adds that she was the first to be cast ... which is usual, one person is always cast first and then the pair ... she gave look tests with multiple guys, the last being with AS before she left for the US ... she told her creatives that when she got back, AS had better be her hero because he was the best. The way she said it was sweet.
Some talk about the pair being so good because of the contrast between the rough macho MCP Rudra and the delicate pretty dreamer Paro ...

Talk about work ... the challenges of shooting in the desert, the heat, the fight scenes, the manhandling ... emotionally draining scenes ... Ashish describes the manhandling and the fights as being tough ... Sanaya add about crying 12 hours a day for two months and how challenging and tiring and emotionally draining that gets ...

Interviewer says all audience wants to be Paro ... hinting at Rudra's popularity ... Ashish answers that's because Paro is a very sweet girl :) But audience needs the blue butterfly to be Paro.
Some talk about the daadhi chubhti hai dialogue ... San says even her husband's beard chubhti hai ... and AS was her husband in the show so his beard was the same ... fortunately she kept mohit out of the discussion apart from that one slip. Good girl, San ... keep it totally professional.

Talk moves to IPK ... San says it is her most favorite show ... big learning experience ... good, better way to describe a show, not just in terms of popularity!
Interviewer says fans want her and barun to be a couple in real life ... San says, in real??!! NO!!! Adds that she and barun are like family ... barun and wife and she and mohit are family ... each is happily married ... no couple happening ...
I'm surprised the interviewer even asked this question, knowing that San is accompanied by her husband on this trip. I guess IPK has just started so the craze has just started as well.

Talk moves to Prithvi Vallabh and AS's character in the show. I didn't know Prithvi was historical ... thought he was fictional. AS speaks at length about Prithvi, the ruler of Malwa.
He also talks about his looks and how he changes them for each role. How he works hard at that and has to be disciplined to do so.
San chimes in that he's good at that ... very dedicated and disciplined and hard working.
They are asked if they would be interested in working in a Thai series. Both say, yes, sure, that would be great ... San says work is work, acting is acting ... why not?! AS adds they would love to work together again. San agrees.

The interview is punctuated with ads for IPK, it seems it has recently started airing in Thai on this channel. dubbed in Thai. Also ads for Hanuman.

What they like about Thailand ..
Ashish likes that they can relax, chill ... Mumbai is hectic, even if working or not ... this is an escape from the hectic life in Mumbai.
Sanaya loves the beaches ... she loves the islands and the beaches ... she has been here ten years ago and looks forward to seeing how things have changed in the next couple of days ... she loves travelling, has been to a lot of beaches, but she never gets tired of them. She is totally a beach person.

My favorite look - blue ruffled saree with silver border, sexy silver blouse, diamante earrings, silver watch ... lovely, elegant and sexy all at the same time.
Makeup was on point - and San looked wow! She needs to wear sarees more often on formal occasions.















Bright yellow lehnga with a touch of pink, pink bangles,jhumkas, maang teeka .. loved the traditional look! San can carry off this bright yellow colour like nobody else!

Sanaya in Thailand - Arrival and day 1

Sanaya's trip to Thailand is bigger than I thought it would be!!! Starting off from the organised welcome at the airport,straight into multiple functions on day one itself - Sanaya has changed clothes three times already, had a joint interview with Ashish Sharma, a stage program and now another program, I'm still trying to figure out what it is.

The trip started off with Sanaya's first instagram post from the airport,detailing her outfit ... an fairly simple outfit, made more for comfort than for style, beige anarkali top with gold detailing and buttons, over simple dark leggings.



This seems to be Sanaya's new favorite filter!!! :D When she first posted it, I thought it was a look for her show Zindabad!



Warm welcome at the Bangkok airport by waiting fans and the organisers ... the crowd was less than the crowd for Ashish and the actors of  Hanuman, understandably so as SKR and Hanuman have aired very recently in Thailand, and the actors of both shows are hugely popular in Thailand. Prithvi Vallabh has also started airing very recently,  while both IPK and Rangrasiya are much older shows. But still, the crowd was decent enough, San got a warm welcome from fans, and the lesser crowd meant she had time to take pictures with more fans ... so all were happy. Mohit too received a small bouquet ... he really needs to learn how to dress for travel!!! Very shabby ... shoddy outfit!

DAY ONE -
Joint interview with Ashish at a studio ... how lovely does San look?! Simple and elegant, casual and smart.


Typical Sanaya - warm hug for AS. her first comment when she saw him was , 'OMG, he has longer hair than me!!!'
That he does ... wonder why he hasn't cut it yet.  Was it kept long for this trip, or is he prepping for yet another mythological/historical role? Those are the only roles on TV which have strong male characters, and that's what AS likes doing.
