Purvi's classes are ready to go!
I love the dogs!!! They are so cute ... and they actually act! Dhyan chand's smile disappears when he hears he's not going with Chhanchhan, Jahanpana begs to go ... what adorable cutie pies!!!
Aalu kachaalu beta kahan gaye the ... awww!!! My mom used to sing this to us ... heard it after years! I liked Uma Ben here, she seemed like a completely normal fond grandmother.
Also liked the way Manav wheedled Uma Ben into letting Mansi go to camp, and the way she cottoned on immediately ... cute scene ... Farhan was good there.
The journey begins ... Rigved is Mansi's Bhawra, as expected ... and the ChanMan fireworks start from the word 'go'. Chanchan is a firecracker all right ... and Manav is no less.
Uma Ben registers for Purvi's computer class ... this was NOT expected! Uma Ben has a very long memory for grudges! Ouch. And the lady is sharp ... she can distinguish flattery from genuine praise. Well, already knew that ... she could discern the taunt in the groom's mom's tone amidst the fawning words. Bu to what lengths is she planning to go with Purvi?
Sanaya needs to tone down in volume ... she was very loud in a few scenes.
Have to say it again ... I love the dogs! Anarkali reminds me of my own dog too!

Nice interview, pretty much said it all. Light show, so there will not be much melodrama. So Uma Ben will be merely cunning, manipulative, probably dominating ... but not frankly evil hopefully.

Farhan...he pales next to her..i still have to warm up to him...i feel something is missing whenever i see him...
am not really sure i will continue watching this show..let's see :)

UB coming to Purvi's class is really unexpected twist..If she does something dirty...then i won't be able to see any colours other than black. Sharp tongue and very smart too...Lets see how they take it from there...

I agree with u abt Farahan. As i'm watching him for three weeks now, definitely his expressions are getting better.But He needs to do lot of homework in all departments of acting expressions, body language, especially voice modulation...loooong way to go ...he's improving .

ReplyDeleteI loved the dogs scene the best today ... actually I like all the Chhanchhan scenes with her family and friends. I liked the bro-sis banter again today ... I find it very natural! But Sanaya needs to tone down her voice ... I felt she was very loud today in many parts.
Farhan is getting better, his scenes with his mom and sis were not bad, but in scenes with Himanshu and Chhanchhan, I find him lacking still. After some analysis, I feel his angry phase is a problem, it is too flat, and so is his emoting in those scenes. Maybe he will get better when the angry phase ends ... he does have a long way to go, though, I agree. The guy playing Himanshu is a better actor.
yeah...the guy playing Himanshu has a very good comic timing as well :-)

ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why I felt that way ... I find their nok jhoks are silly too, and Manav is very loud in his angry scenes, so I just got the impression that both were yelling. Which is unusual for Sanaya ... one of the reasons I love her acting is her voice modulation - she never raises her voice in angry scenes, her tone says it all. Most unlike other actresses who always end up shrieking.
DeleteSanaya was gorgeous in pink ... I loved her hairstyle in that scene too ... pinned back with two tendrils ... I liked Purvi's suit in that first scene as well. The clothes are good in this show.

just saw last night's episode, liked how our hero pataoed his mom for his sister's sake. Uma ben enrolling for computer classes really took me by surprise...overall..I am excited and happy with how things are being set for future tracks ;-)

DeleteI also liked Purvi's happiness and self-confidence at the beginning ... I think Uma Ben is going to try to undermine her confidence, as we already know Purvi is the nervous sort. And CC will of course come to the rescue - hopefully by revving up Purvi's confidence again, and getting her back on track.
Am just wondering - Purvi was supposed to be a cameo, how long will she stay? I hope she stays for a while and they show her becoming successful, and then maybe getting married without dowry. It can be a very nice track.
and Dia...Sanaya's voice seemed okay to me :-)

Farhan..he needs to do a lot of work..i guess i should start watching this show after a few months like i did with IPK....by then everything will fall in place hopefully!!
now i just change the channel whenever i see that guy on screen..even when he is with Sanaya..
I watched IPK from the very first episode ... almost gave up a few times during the first month, Khushi was goofy, I didn't like Barun at all in the beginning, he was sooooo stiff and expressionless ... but I stuck on for Sanaya ... and Barun got much better, although his dialogue delivery was always a problem! How many times we said here ... Barun, enunciate!!!! :)))

Anita, Farhan will be there more and more ... I think they were giving him time to get into character the first two weeks, we hardly saw him, but he's on screen a lot more now. You won't be able to change channels - you'll hardly watch the show then! :)))

:-)..was spying on all your old IPK posts..looks like soooo much discussion was on during the last months when the speculation of Barun leaving, Viraf coming and the show ending was going on...did bring some nice and sad memories of my favourite show on TV..daydream wala icon!
ReplyDeleteI know ... we had some heated discussions those days! I still wish SP had been smarter ... they could have pulled the show off air, and then brought it back after three months with a season 2 with Khushi's daughter ... by then, it would have been clear that Barun had left and was not coming back, break or no break ... and they had a story in place anyway. The hysteria would have quietened down by then, people had already started missing the show and wondering whether they had done the right thing by demanding for it to be pulled off air.
DeleteBut I guess SP was also tired of the PH and the mess they had created with the news leaks, and all the spamming and rudeness related to Barun leaving ... they just called it quits.
Anyway, all's well that ends well ... Sanaya is back, I like her new character ... could never trust 4 Lions with their characters, if the new guy became popular, it was very likely they would again massacre Khushi's character to boost him up. Now her character is the central one ... Khushi was that too, but she never got her due, here she will ... So all that happens, happens for the best :)))
haan Diya...you know I felt sooo guilty as even I had called SP not to get a replacement for Barun. Never, had I imagined that the show would just go off air :-( I was feeling so bad for Sanaya that I have cheated her as a fan!! The day I read that she has signed for the new show, that day I forgave myself...and like you say...in so many ways this new show seems and gives me lots of hope that she has gotten a role she deserves and a PH she deserves and not someone who will exploit her by giving her OTT stuff to do and bad cloths to wear..this two were my major complains with the previous PH...
ReplyDeleteI was reading one of the replies on the post which stays in my head that..the PH should have planned a smooth exit for Barun just like Sushant's role was done in PV...that is called smart ness and the show is still on air!!!!

Appy, they planned two exits ... one with Sheetal, and when people did not accept any other woman in Arnav's life, then with Arnav's death ... and then people did not accept any other man in Khushi's life! :))) And no one wanted a replacement ASR either ... and bottom line was that Barun didn't want to stay on ...
DeleteThe only acceptable answer was a leap ... God, and the powers that be in SP and 4 Lions only know why they didn't do that ... like I said, I think everyone was sick of the drama and the hysteria.
Anyway, Sanaya is back on screen and I am enjoying her role ... I can enjoy a mediocre show as long as it has good acting, especially the female lead - the only reason I followed MJHT, a college show and not really my cup of tea, was Sanaya ... I could relate a lot to Gunjan's character, and Samrat's character was sweet, although Mohit was not a great actor at all.
And this show again definitely has good actors ... can ignore Manav for the moment, as I think his character will also improve slowly ... the other actors are good, so the show is enjoyable.
And I love the dogs :))) I hope they get good screen space :)))
haan diya..very happy to see sanaya back and that too in a tolerable show ;-) and FK already seems to be getting better by the day and I am willing to give him lots of time to improve..
