23/4 - Epi 18 ... Are re re Yeh Kya Hua

Tuesday 23rd April

Manav -Uma Ben ... Manav manages to get out of sticky questions about new old friends ...

Uma Ben busy doing good deeds for mandir ... after all, election ka sawaal hai ...
Manav and Himanshu ready for party, Manav butters mom and leaves quickly ...
SN - Farhan needs to improve ... couldn't figure out whether he was buttering UB or was genuinely impressed by her good deeds.
UB realises beta haath se nikal raha hai ... time to tie him down ...

Chhanchhan's family prepares for dog party ... complete with games for dogs ... and teasing for Chhanchhan ... father also joins in ... entire family is having a good laugh!

Chhanchhan's mom is cool ... and very amused ... Manav is bemused ... yeh kaisi mom hai. She doesn't mind a "Mom se saavdhan" notice on the gate ... but does mind the bad photograph. A mother more different from his own, can't be imagined.

UB leaves to suss out rishta no 1 ... I thought she liked Kaumudi, but seems not really.

Chhanchhan and Manav ... Are re re yeh kya hua ... Manav spellbound by a laughing Chhanchhan ...

And both hiding their attraction behind white lies ... CC pretending she had no idea Manav was planning to attend the party ... Allergy pills? Really? What are those? You had them? And the biggest whopper - I never knew you were planning to come ... CC, really??!!! :)))
Manav is no better ... I just came for Himanshu ... it's time I did something about my allergy, dogs are everywhere, can't avoid them ...

  1. I liked today's episode. I thought FK did better when he was looking at CC in rapture, less blinking :) But dialogue delivery has to improve. Chalo kuch tho gadhi aghe badi...
CC's family is cool...hope they will have lots to do when CC faces problems in sasural. How come when CC's sister is there, the brother is missing and vice versa?
Oh man! I am really liking Supriya P's portrayal of Uma Ben. The slight nuances she gives...real good! She makes me laugh too :) Precap has another hook...will Uma Ben recognize them, hmmm?
They have a promo for each episode, and I have heard that they are promoting CC in-between IPL telecast too...hope that brings more viewers once IPL is over.

    1. Farhan was okay in that scene ... but I didn't like him in his scene with Uma Ben, when he was praising her. Couldn't make out whether it was flattery because he wanted to get away, or genuine praise. That's where he has to improve his expressions ... he is just reciting dialogues as of now.

Yes, I really want CC's family to be in the picture after marriage too. First of all, am wondering how they will agree for the marriage ... they know what Uma Ben is like. Manav has to be pretty strong and positive to reassure them ... that has to happen before UB is even brought into the picture. If I was CC, when I found out that UB was Manav's mom, I would seriously re-think marrying him!

Uma, fingers crossed that CC improves after IPL gets over. :)))

    2. Suddenly I am again unsure of FK's acting abilities in the scenes where he has to convince his and CC's family about their marriage. See, we don't want Manav to be mama's boy, that means he will have some powerful scenes and dialogues...can our ML deliver...oops!
OK will cross the bridge blah blah...can't Anthony how FK convinced the casting agent.
Note to myself: stay positive, it is just a show, watch it for Sanaya and Supriya ji.

    3. It was supposed to be "fanthom" not "Anthony". Auto correction ka jadu.

    4. ROFL ... I wondered what Anthony was suddenly doing in a post on FK!

That is exactly my problem with Farhan ... his dialogue delivery is too flat. When he has to show anger or any emotion, all he does is raise his voice and become loud ... the voice modulation is missing. And so far, Manav is not an Ahem dikra, who won't have much to say ... and we don't want him to be one either, so he does need to improve his acting and his dialogue delivery a lot.

Unless after marriage, they send him off overseas and leave Chhanchhan to deal with her inlaws on her own ... that won't be fun either, as we will need a tadka of romance in the show. Plus if the makers are intelligent, Sanaya's current fan base loves romance, and so do most of the audience, so they should make sure the romance will attract viewers.
Maybe he's trying too hard ... he doesn't come across as spontaneous as Himanshu or Simple ... they have settled down perfectly into character ... which makes me feel more and more, the PH needed a fresh PAIRING, they didn't need a fresh ACTOR. Actors even with limited experience like the Himanshu guy, the difference shows.

I really wish more and more that they had taken more care over the selection of the male lead. Such a completely raw guy was not a good idea!

I have sent feedback on the Sony site ... why don't you do the same?

    5. Note to myself ... follow Uma's mantra ... it is just a show, watch it for Sanaya and Supriya P ... Sony does not run after TRPs so much, so it won't be pulled off air like the SP shows ... as long as it runs for a decent time, and Sanaya gets her due, that's all I want.
