17/9 - Epi 344 ... An Unbreakable Bond

Monday 17th September

Happy Birthday, Sanaya!!!

The much awaited BFTP finally happens ... a Deception 360? Or was it another misunderstanding? So Arnav's dad was as much a cad as his illustrious SIL, except that Garima actually had feelings for him too. And Dadi, as rigid as ever, decrees that this marriage will not take place ... she will ruin Payal's and Khushi's lives the way Garima ruined her family's lives. And VLR gloats :-& X(

And on the other side, Arnav and Khushi swear that they will never part ... he takes her to his secret place, his mother's secret garden ... and swears in front of his mother's tree that from this day on, regardless of the pending rituals, Khushi is his wife.

Will Dadi decide to wait till the day of the wedding and reveal the truth at the mandap? Thus ruining Khushi the way Anjali's first wedding was ruined? Or will she decide to let the wedding happen? And more importantly - the clincher actually ...

What Will Arnav Do?
He did ask Khushi to promise that she would never leave him, or even say such words. Again.

*update*

Today I did the uncut before editing, because I wanted to see Arshi uninterrupted ...
The DaGa confrontation still leaves a lot unexplained ... what is the 'jhooth' that Garima said in her youth, did she actually have feelings for AD or was it completely like a Shyam 360 ... seems the former, as she carries his picture in her box till date ... and what prompted AD to take his life after his wife committed suicide. Arnav said once that his mother had troubles all through her marriage ...
So much more is to come out about the BFTP, what does seem certain is that Dadi is repeating her mistake of blaming all but the person actually at fault.
Dadi - a miserable, bitter old woman, trapped in a prison of her own making, a dark dreary prison of misguided self-righteousness and plain old-fashioned hypocrisy and double standards, where everyone else is to be blamed but herself and her own blood ... she never blamed her son for straying, but was content to lay the blame on his wife and on the other woman ...
Had she ever pulled up her own son to take the responsibility for his actions, could the tragedy have been averted?
And what role did the Chacha have to play in the drama? After all, when the double tragedy happened, the Chacha was the one who threw the two orphaned children out of their house. Did he play a role in furthering the divide between husband and wife, or was he just an opportunist like Shyam, using the situation to his own advantage?
Yes ... this was just the tip of the iceberg ... there is much more to come. Including Shyam's role in the past, if there is any ... I have my doubts.

And Dadi winds up her vituperative outburst by cancelling the wedding. Much to Shyam's delight ... he's sure that with this blast from the past, Arnav will never marry Khushi. Is he right? :(

Now to the much more interesting and heart-warming part ... Arshi.
How I wish that such a beautiful emotional scene between Arnav and Khushi had not been left to BD's :(

The carry over from Saturday ... the play of emotions starting from sensuous and intimate, Khushi fully prepared for more assault on her senses, after the soft seduction during the haldi in GH ... apprehensive and welcoming at the same time ... a woman fully awakened to her desires for her husband. As is he for his wife ... he leaves no chance to touch her, caress her ... but the family is waiting downstairs to see her punishment ... so the young Arnav comes forward, the young carefree child ...  A childhood lost so brutally and suddenly, and now brought back by the child-woman, the girl full of spirit and life, the girl he loves, the girl who has taught him to live again, to be fully alive ... to laugh, to love, to tease ...
And tease he does ... much to the delight and laughter of the family ... indignant Khushi can't believe he did this to her and runs after him to beat him with a cushion while the family all laughs ... a truly light-hearted moment full of joy and happiness ... full of Khushi.
Seeing the change in Arnav, can anyone in the family doubt what Khushi has done to him? She has brought Arnav to life again - to complete laughing, loving life. The old dour, grim ever-frowning, ever-angry ASR is gone, replaced by this young man who wants to embrace life to the fullest. With his Khushi by his side.

Dadi always casts a shadow on the proceedings ... but Mami and Buaji now share a delightful bond as they all scurry for cover ... Hai re Nand Kishore and Hello Hi Bye Bye in reverse ... damn cute!!! Everyone in the family barely tolerates Dadi ... wonder if she will return to the ashram post the reveal?

Arnav takes Khushi back to their room to wipe off the moustache ... and uses the opportunity to keep caressing her face long after the moustache is gone ... but Khushi doesn't realise. She's more annoyed that he fooled her yet again ... *sigh* woman, wake up, the guy can't keep his hands off you!
And she threatens that she won't be fooled by him again ... she'll slip through his fingers like sand, and will run away so fast he won't be able to find her.
Arnav is upset instantly ... he cannot bear to lose her, he can't even bear the thought. "Never say such a thing again. Promise."
And Khushi sees his upset instantly ... they can read each other so clearly now ... 'Promise.' An instant re-affirmation ... she won't leave him ever. But why is he so upset? Never mind ... he can tell her whenever he wants to, it's not important ... because she is with him always. And she holds him to her, head on his shoulder, to tell him that without words. 'I'm here ... always ... with you.'

And Arnav finally dares to believe it. She is his, for ever and always ... she won't leave him and go away, like his mother did, like even his father did ... like his dadi did ... she won't let him down ... she never has, and she never will.
So he wants to take her to the place closest to his heart. Alone, away from everyone else ... leaving their phones behind ...
And so Arnav and Khushi are incommunicado to the rest of the world till they choose to come back. In their own private world where only the two of them exist ... along with his dearest memories.

He takes her to a tumble down deserted cottage surrounded by a wildly growing garden with a huge tree in the center. A place he came with his mother and sister in childhood ... where she shared her love for plants with her children, where she planted a tree, and they watered it and waited for it to grow ... Arnav with his usual impatience :)
Arnav looks at the tree, lost in memories ... happy memories for once, memories of an idyllic childhood, surrounded by the security of maternal love and care ... a smiling mother ... a happy sister.

Khushi holds his hand ... and they walk together hand in hand round the tree ... as he shares his memories, lets her even deeper into his heart ..
He loves gardening because his mother did, it makes him feel closer to her. And this is where he comes to feel his mother close to him, ever since ... Never has he brought anyone else here ... Khushi is the first ...
And she holds his hand again as they sit in front of his mother's rose bush ... together, bound by ties deeper than can be fathomed ... she looks up at the stars in the night sky to feel close to her parents, he connects to his mother through the earth, the plants she loved ... their shared loss binds them tighter together than ever before. An unbreakable bond.

And he says so ... whatever the rasams, the rituals they are going through ... all have their place ... but for him, bringing her here, means that she is his wife. His mother's bahu.
Nothing can be a bigger acceptance of her place in his life. And she knows it.

The word ARNAV carved into the bark of the tree his mother planted. Will he add her name there?
His mother's rose bush ... from where he got her birthday rose ... his mother's blessing ... his own acceptance that his mother would be happy to see her in Arnav's life.
An unbreakable bond. A promise for ever.

While back home, his Dadi vows to break the marriage, to tear them apart. Will she do it? Can she do it? Can anyone break this bond?

  1. So at last Garima- DD face off done... Khushi shyam 360, so like son mother MUed and commited suicide? hmmm ,

Bitwa taking Bitiya to a place where no one has been .. his special place hmmm...
Bitwa making it clear that she is his wife in all sense .. hmmm why am i dreading a BIG CON before marriage ????

I still stand by with Arhi marriage to happen and then seperation.. more now in phyiscal as well as emotional..

was there a reason to show that place , so that when bitwa goes into peetal bartan only bitiya can find him????

But love Arhi today ... dam my heart went to that boy.. and so much to what ASR is ....

    2. Shwethu....nahin keep the faith.....the story is taking an interesting turn...it was always going to have a strong Khushi link, who better than G to make Arnav face his past, make his closure.....in the best way possible....

I just hope they don't mess up the Shyam link...whichever way it is...

    3. Rekhs,

Shyamu ko maaro goli ... your shiddat and mine :) ... this is about Khushi and Arnav, Khushi bringing closure to Arnav about his past. And the cv's made it the simplest Past we could imagine - an exact repeat - Garima didn't know AD was married.
So was Garima involved with him too? Because there lies the difference - Khushi never loved Shyam ever, she never ever wanted to marry him. It was always Arnav for her, right from the start.

    4. Mar di goli...usko pest kahin ka...

See, whichever way, my feeling is that the a bitter past can be confronted only with a sense of giving things a wide berth...u have the promise of a present so beautiful so bitwa will gain the courage to confront it and who knows they may be both balm to each others' wounded pasts...and i somehow still have faith in that dialogue..of G to A at GH."aap humein kuch bhi bulao, usse humari rishte mein koi faraq nahin hoga"
i am convinced he will call her amma one day...it might happen after a long time tho, when he has a proper closure to the pain....hopefully it will be a case of understanding the past as mature adults do and not see it from a 14 year old's perspective...i have no idea how things will unfold but am in for the ride...

OMG, I did not even note the BD..JUST wondered about the mehendi bit, was too busy looking at the space between them for a sign of the cottage*wink*

    6. Rekha, me too, I have this strong feeling he WILL call Garima Amma one day ... when he realises that her love for his dad was true and selfless, that she wanted to leave when she heard he was married, that she sacrificed her own happiness to bring up two orphan girls.
There has to be much more to the Garima story ... SHIDDAT!!!

Shweths, you are toooo cute bey!!! :)))
I hope today's scenes have Sanaya and not the BD ... they didn't even show a hug today ... I have a feeling much more emotional scenes are coming before Arshi go back to the Raizada zoo, and I want Sanaya there for those!

    NOT MY HEART

    GUTTER

I cared two hoots about Dadi meeting Garima and shyam looking as if he was drooling on Dadi than having any thought of his evil plan...it was as if you go girl..er...Dadi etc...whatever

I cared 4 hoots about the plant story as to why he loved plants so much

The only thing I CARED ABOUT WAS:

    Is that a Garden?

Does that mean they are in a cottage or a guesthouse?

Does that mean we can hope it is atleast semi furnished and maintained?

    Does that mean that FINALLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY
They are just going to do it, rasam, sambhar be damned!!!!!!!!!!!

According to him, they just got married...well if they want they can circle the tree 7 times before they head into the cottage.

I always figured they will never have a happy SR more like an emotional one...ofcourse I expected her in a saree with loads of promos..

    SO WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

Show the trailor of them doing it, picture baad may dikhana, no one will complaint.

With the you know what out of the way, they can finally concentrate on weeding out people from their lives.

We have a kekta writer on board. If they do it and then the marriage gets called off or emotional separation happens, it is going to have double the impact.

Equate it the day you just won a chocolate eating contest and you are gifted with a free supply of chocolates of all kinds for a year is the day YOU realize you have to go off diet for health reasons for losing that weight...

Something of that sorts......Am I just going to be kicked out for this from here*aiyooo*

Just do it damn it while Arshad is here, when DB ka bada bhai aka LM comes who is equally in love with Shyam as much as Anjali and Shyam..Bitwa will be only staring RVs...

Atleast with Arshad the guy has a very good chance getting some action RVs.

Hmmmmm.....Damn the narcissist LM is back:(

I bet after a month everyone is going to miss Arshad if he indeed quits, With Arshad we got the badtameezi, flirty Arnav....With LM you are going to get gharelu ASR....Jo dekhayga par kuch karega nahi..

Yes I am being very biased today.

    Sorry:(

We just finished Maths and tomorrow is Hindi, and finally all the rest of the exams will be in english *phews* Please do pray for us guys.

Hugs everyone and happy birthday Sanaya!

    Missed you all*Hugs again*

Con ? Or temple shaadi 360? With the hottest couple on Indian telly, can they have a con without a promo? Or is this the biggest twist - a premarital con ... or rather, a con after a repeat private wedding, this time in DM temple with the works, pandit and pheras, but minus the family ... and they go back and find Dadi bent on cancelling the wedding.

By the way, just for information sake ;)
in San's previous show, Gunjan actually had a premarital con ... and then separation happened. Thankfully it wasn't an Ekta show so no pregnancy happened.
      Just saying ;)

      Delete
    3. Dia,

my idea did come from the same thing today ... remember we knowing there would be a con and then the seperation, we were hell bent of not having pregnancy ....

but here if it happens it will lead to pregnancy because here they are husband and wife in their heart mind and souls, so if bitwa initiates she won't back off, but i still doubt that bitwa will do it .. but something important and significant is instored for tomorrow.. may be a phera around the tree as his mom as witness this time , last time it was DM - khushi's mom this time a tree which is mom sowed representing his mom ???

    4. Shwetha,
All the best to your kiddo :)

While gutter is where the mind wants to go, mereko abhi Con ke sare cons hi dikh rahe hain , no Pros...

After all the hangama over pheras and rasams , it goes against Khushi's character..but woh to kabka tel lene gaya..

Bigger Con is, it gives credence to Dadi's Khandaan ka character dheela accusation :(

Ab mazaa tab aaye jab ASR stands true to his word and refuses to stop the marriage -despite knowing the past ...He knows Khushi was inncocent in the creewa issue , so same scenario he has to give Garima the benefit of doubt ..and refuse to let the alleged sins of the mom be put at the daughter's table..

I have to say SP ke hote hue, jahan legally wedded couples are themselves Conned...in respect of Con...where is the chance for our are-we-there-yet on the home run? couple...mushkil hi nahin namumkin hain.....

the reason being simple..SP only repackages purani soch as nayi soch most of the time esp in respect of bahudom...

    8. Hey Shweths!! Good luck to you and your kiddo! Hindi is a tough subject:-( all the very best!!

Thoughts on the big C and SP- more than anything else aren't they putting out a really skewed and silly message to the masses especially the uneducated masses- consummation will always lead to pregnancy... It's not like that'll deter people but they'll just not bother about being protected. Sorry this is random but television has a huge influence on out social culture.

the moment he said you are my wife...and she understood, they are all emotional...I mean Duuuhhh..just do it damn it. and their phones are not there, so while they are busy remember how I once said if at all anything has to happen, any means of communication aka phones should be missing and RM and Gupta family should be out of 5-10 km radius of that place...Well I was right wasnt I, ab yeh donon kuch nahin karangay toh main kya karoon

See there are two things...if they promote con too much, the family audience will not tune in na cos they know it will sizzle...so suddenly spring up karo..and the best part, show them going inside, a hug and closing the door something...leave it to our imagination...next shot...they look atleast they have done something*Wink*...whether all the way or not people can debate

It was made clear that Khushi will leave him..I reiterate the chocolate funda for both of them...They can't just go off chocolate now can they?

  3. finally the much awiated yawn inducing dadi garima face off!!

is history repeating itself?? garima was romantically involved with Sr.mallik... he never told her he was married... but when confronted Mrs.mallik, he played dumb abt the other woman.....

there is a general MU... but the question is who Mued who?? garima Mued a platonic concern from Sr. mallik as love? dadi MUed garima fo phasoing Sr. mallik... MU between Mr and Ms mallik... Arnav and anjali MUed their dad.... who is white here who is gray and who is black??

these people really have no idea how to engineer bet victorie, do they?? anothe wasted opportunity, after all the hype it created... seriuosly all he did was draw a mustache? but the sentiment was cute... you look so beautiful, tumhe nazar na lag jaaye... isiliye... arnav's biggest fear, khushi leaving him, is revisited in every epi...so when dhamaka happens at RM, our love birds will not be let known, as they left the phone....

finally ODB gets a car.. i have been wondering why there are no car scenes... and i realised the PH is not providing one... there are 2 SUVs for the arjun serial!! is this the place where hegoes for all of his mid night drives to cool off?? i loved that chote arnav.. looked very mischievous and at the same time innocent and sweet!

will A vs DD happen tmrw?? loved the contrast of scenes today... arnav proclaims khushi as his maa's bahu and dadi wants to break off the marriage....
will their love stand strong against the tornado of past??

for shyam angle, she trusted buaji i guess... and through out the entire thing, she never once forced khushi like buaji... it was buaji who was pushing the entire family towards the rishta...

about the photo, i am inclined to hope there is more to the story than meets the eye.... may be she fell in love with Sr.mallik, but when she knew he was married, she tried to get over him... she had all the intentions of getting out of his life, and that photo was a keepsake of her first love.. she probably was happy to cling onto the memories of those days... her first yet forbidden love!

So San must have shot that with Barun, and today's garden scenes, her part separately, by Saturday. She will be back at work tomorrow. The rest of the scene will be with her for sure - after the disastrous hut scene, they won't do big Arhi scenes with BD's. Pakka.

Shwethu...."semifurnished and maintained"......does it matter? we will take it anyways....loved how ur mind is proceeding...must say very well into the gutter....

okay....time to revisit and adjust some theories in my head...okay seems Arnav and his amma shared a beautiful bond...i was not so sure....before today...silly me had some bee in my bonnet!!

their bond looks beautiful from that little exchange.....no wonder he gets choked everytime he mentions her ....I loved BS's acting today..even tho i had to strain to hear him speak, i loved the voice modulation....just perfect....every nuance...the pain in his voice touched my heart....

I have not completely dropped the past link theory to Shyam (not necessarily the doods theory) becos the behaviour of the guy behind the curtains was curiously of both a psychopath and a man out for revenge. While the glee can be interpreted as happiness that Khushi and Arnav won't be married....somehow it looked also as if I am having the time of my life....u guys have got the wrong end of the stick and i am going to make u all dance to my new tune.....

Garima and Dadi confrontation....still does not move anything further in the story....

Whether Shyam manipulates Dadi to allow marriage is what i want to see to get further confirmation of his role in the revenge part of drama....becos something tells me only Shyam an change her mind or Garima must have something really solid on G which has been honour-bound not to use so far.....

That part is perhaps not fully played out according to me.....
U never know Garima talked of some "jhoot", she may be now forced to bring that sach out in some form...i am not sure what will be impact or why DD has to fear it....my pea-sized brain has no idea...but something tells me that Garima will fight hard for her daughter's happiness she will not give up without a fight....esp considering she has lived a life away from the all this to give her daughters a gud life...that part of the mother's sacrifice/dua will bear some fruit....somehow it might even have some link to Khushi's parents...or why else did G have to meet the R at all so many years later....
actually i am rambling but its something to do with what Buaji's dua for her when she said, ur sacrifices will not go in vain.....

      Delete
    5. Rekha : i thought Buaji's dua meant that now since ASR's khushi is on target, so he will try to dig deep and thereby clear Garima's name as well.

  8. Now I can understand the Shakuntala get up for Khushi for her haldi. Looks like they want to show a Gandharva wedding which is based on mutual attraction between a man and a woman, with no rituals, witnesses or family participation. The earlier marriage also had no witnesses rituals (save the mangalsutra or family participation) or family but it was based on fury, jealousy, sense of betrayal, fear and agony and not based on love and compassion, as it is now. Love how they show that A-K love is soulful. While the physical attraction is strong, the emotional connect is stronger and binds them very strongly - strong evidence of it the Holi interaction, re-iterated today. Arnav let her into his core- both the physical place and his emotional space. She is now a part of his soul.

If they go the Shakuntala way, Arnav like Dhushyant may disconnect from his beloved. There he forgot her existence. Here he will be too numbed by the truth to react for some time. Khushi may misunderstand his silence or maybe she does understand it well and may decide to move away for his own well being because she would be a constant reminder of his bitter past which he is trying hard to forget (Khushi seeing him with coloured glasses on haldi).
Maybe Anjali (the goldfish with a brain of one) will help him find his Khushi (as she found his ring). Now whether something she does will trigger his mind and make him realise Khushi is not with him or whether Anj will consciously help in getting him back his Khushi, one has to wait and see.

The blind fold scene reminded me of the kanya pooja day when Khushi was playing blindfold game with the kids and ends up catching a furious Arnav. Later she finds out that they had drawn a mousch on Arnav's photo. Only this time Arnav is the one who blindfolds her, asking her whether she trusts him, with her nodding in the affirmative. How far they have come! He disfigures her beautiful face by drawing the mousch but is also the one to clean it up. Arnav's actions (or rather inaction to not firming supporting K) had painted her villian but he will also be the one to clean up her reputation.

Shwetha, I too thought of the con when I saw the cottage. This PH is famous for having con in unconventional places and at unconventional time. In fact they make the viewers wonder whether they 'conned' or not (a sort of con in itself).

Dia, these days they do underplay the con on T.V. In Punar Vivah, the con came as a shock and played as a flashback after the heroine finds herself pregnant.

The original title of the show was supposed to be Vaidehi, another name for Sita. So the gandharva wedding can lead to a con and pregnancy which our 'Ram' may not be aware of when they part. Personally I wouldn't want such a long separation though and the only saving grace is that this PH cannot handle babies and will only show one towards the end of the show.

Don't know if the blogger will eat away this post too!

    1. Opti,
i thought of the sakuntala separation too especially with Arnav losing his ring that morning...but I sure hope they do not go the ramayan way...that would be a huge turn off for me...

    2. Opti, ditoo, the shakuntala get up did make me wonder...and I reiterate again...i never saw a happy type SR for both of them, it had to be spur of the moment and him proclaiming her as his wife and her comprehending fully, both are fully emotional...so chances are they might just go ahead and do it.

We might not be shown ya...just the door closing or something and we will go nuts trying to figure it out.

Also they come back...now Arnav feels even more responsible about Khushi and wanting to get the marriage done with just so they can be together.

and then the d hamaka happens and she will move away from him....woh toh pucca hai...hopefully to lucknow and who knows a leap may be?

    3. Opti,
Shakuntala thought- to add more weightage to the theory- I read in IF about ASR losing his ring on the morning of haldi- like Dushyant did...(don't tell me he'll have an accident and lose his memory).

And the cottage, yes, perfect place for the king to forget his palace duties and be lost in Shakuntala...somehow, I am not very sure it is going to happen now.

In fact, not sure at all about anything right now.
      Marriage might happen...separation might happen..how?

    4. Opti, Shweths, Sri ... soul sisters all ... I too thought of Shakuntala and Gandharva vivah ... but am hoping they don't show a con yet, just this promise should be enough. But I think initialyy when the blast hits, Arnav WILL be the first to move away , this is a huge deal for him and he hated the other woman also, even though he knew his dad was to blame. Like Dushyant, who forgot Shakuntala, then when he got the ring, he pined for her and started hunting for her. So it might play out the same way ... Arnav separates in initial anger, Khushi leaves, heart broken ... then Arnav comes to his senses (Anjali helps him here somehow) and realises what he has done, and that he cannot live without Khushi under any circumstances ... so goes after her. And then her turn to stay away ... though I doubt Khushi can ever stay away from Arnav ...

Somehow the story has to lead to Arnav calling Garima Amma at some point, there was some sacrifice by Garima involved ... maybe AD was ready to leave his mom for Garima, and she went away when she heard he was married and married Shashi to stop AD from destroying his marriage and to make it clear to him that she would not at any cost have an affair with a married man. i.e like Khushi. Her marrying Shashi, a much older man, a widower with a child was her sacrifice - she could have had AD but she put him out of her life as definitely as she could.
Here Arnav married Khushi to stop her from destroying Di's marriage, then Garima did the same thing to save AD's marriage ... but too late.

And I want the wicked chacha angle to play at that point ... he instigated the MU's further, much like Shyam is doing now ... to get AD's money and property, exactly as Shyam wants now.

  9. Oops! posted in the Birthday post by mistake. Pasting it here:

    Happy Birthday to Sanaya!
Saw an amazingly well-edited VM and just had to share it here...I had this big silly grin on my face from the beginning right till the end. Sanaya's smiles are infectious..;-)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHFU8xDN9FQ

Also, liked today's episode in the sense that before the BFTP Arnav has made it clear to atleast Khushi that she is his wife and his mom's bahu and that woh dono ek ho chuke hai.So they will face this togewther. I think Arnav will believe Garima because he commited the mistake of not believing Khushi...he wont repeat it.And that will be the ultimate repentace for all that he did to khushi...by restoring her Mom's reputation in fromt of everyone.

waiting for the story to unfold.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Two scenarios:
Irrespective of whether con happens or not:

They come home are hit with BFTP

They come home sense there is tension between Garima and Dadi.

Shyam convinces Dadi to go with the marriage and expose Garima right before the pheras.

Anjali's marriage was stopped dright, so now sameway Khushi's.

Both the mother and daughter get humiliated and thrown off of the home.

Now payal since she is no related to Garima might have not that much impact...yes there will be trouble but not the scale khushi is expected cos she is Garima's niece.

Akash bitwa...plz do the right thing and stand by Payal, warna Dandaaaaaaaaaaa..LM teri khair nahin if you mess up akash.

now the question is will arnav go ahead with the wedding thinking he forced her into a marriage and assuming con has taken place...will he realize he can't ruin her life one more time...or khushi will walk out when asked to chose between his family and garima...

If your mother is important to you so is my mother...more so when she brought me up when she could have abandoned me.

  11. Dadi really needs a reality check!!

when she said.."mera ghar, mera parivaar'..i was like..first off it is not your house..and what parivaar?? does she keep forgetting that she was MIA for 14 years??
and she is really delusional if she thinks she can make Arnav stop the wedding (if it is meant to happen that is!!)..
was this lady really in an ashram?? the way she acts and talks..doesnt look like it!!
Shyam looked like a kid lost in a candy store!! his expressions were so funny!! yes yes go for it types!!! :D

Arnav and Khushi (rather the BD!)..this couple is just amazing..am glad Arnav showed Khushi something that matters to him so such..bringing them close together...

CV's..u don't want the hottest couple on TV to do it?? ok cool..let them KISS already!! if this were real life..it would have happened already!!

  13. Can someone explain to me why is no one concerned about Shyam's antecedents? No one enquires about his family, even when he was the favourite damaad of the house. Should they not have wondered why no family member of his attended Payal's wedding? Dadi was so interested in knowing who Khushi's parents were. Since she was in the ashram for 14 years, she could not have attended Anj's wedding. So does she really know of her son-in-law to believe him so blindly?

Dadi celarly has double standards. In her son's case she blamed her d-i-l for not being able to hold on to her hubby and in the case of her son-in-law whom she barely knows she lays the blame on K (the other woman) and not on Anj for not holding on to her creepo hubby. Why is Nani tolerating this woman when she has such scant regard for her dead daughter? Did the woman hide all her disgust for her d-i-l from her old friend.

Something does not add up in the case of Garima and Arnav's dad. Arnav's dad looked far older than Garima. How did he trap the young girl? Why is Garima still having his picture with her in the box? Does that not tantamount to infidelity in thought to a gem of a man like Shashi? If she had once loved Arnav's dad and cannot get over him all these years later, does that not make Arnav-Khushi relationship weird? His mom-in-law still having feelings for his dead dad is not something easy to digest for anyone, let alone a sensitive Arnav. I wish they hadn't shown her holding on to the photo and looking at it so lovingly.

They say the sins of the parents visit the children. Arnav's parents killed themselves thereby deserting their children when they needed them most because they couldn't face up to the reality/their deeds. Khushi's foster mother messed up her life in her youth and Khushi will now be paying for her mistakes.

  15. Fair warning – I saw all the episodes from last Monday (10th Sep) to this Monday (17th sep) in one go :D - so be warned of repeated stuff;
I get a very strong feeling that the people making the serial are actually divided into two teams – one is doing the Arhi scenes and the other, the rest of the story – for how else can you rationalize the difference in treatment? The Arhi scenes all through the last week were perfect – with a capital P!
Oh I do not deny that I did not like KKG calling VLR without talking to ASR – we know the reason – so ok – but still the way they did it was not right – why could she not come in first and then call VLR – the effect would have been as dramatic without giving ODB a heart attack ! Well once I made peace with that – have loved loved loved every Arhi scene -

I loved their first serious fight – both completely in character – even ODG was all moralizing: “did you not see Di” – very like the old KKG we love – and he all angry (and justifiably so!) - more hurt that she hurt him, broke his trust than the fact she took a decision without consulting him – and she hurt that he could even think she would break his trust – I was mad at her for not picking up the phone but her next bit, in front of DM was too cute – and very true to character - loved every bit – the sms – the response – the makeup – every bit – too cute :D:D:D –
Included in the Arhi scenes – NK, Mami and Buaji – loved them – the go between NK, the reverse psychologist mami and the ever supportive buaji with her sun glasses and blatantly false appreciation of the mehndi colour :D:D:D - (by the way – the shots of ODB calling ODG thorough the window – seriously smoking hot!!! – and NK, KKG was not using Hindi – she was using Urdu and good Urdu at that! – best side scene – Akash with his jaw on the floor seeing his bhai making his lady love go weak in the knees!!)

    cont...

    1. part 2...

Now contrast this with the rest of the story – and I am not even talking about the bloopers – the pink talons turning into silver and going back to pink in a second type bloopers – am talking about handling of the scenes – for a track that had been the basic premise of the story – something that they (the CVs) had already thought of right from the beginning – very poor delivery -
      1) G shaking like a leaf at the very mention of dadi – every single time!! – dadi doubting that she could be the same G but still not trying to confirm (even through old wedding pics!) - G running off to see her old pics – seriously??!! – that shows her in a very very poor light – to me – she is cheating on her husband – on the one man who has stood by her – loved her and her niece (not even daughter) like his own – and she still has someone else’s pic with her – AND she looks at it!!!!!! – Now had they shown her sit next to shashi – cry and tell him something about the past, her mistake etc etc, something that VLR could have overheard – it would have been better – she would not have come across as a cheat! – but someone who made a mistake but now has a supportive husband by her side (so not in character)
      2) Anji – what a horrid mother!! No other words for her – instead of showing absolutely useless romance between her and VLR, why could they not show the couple deal with their loss – even if they had to show Anji being sincere and VLR being the conniving self! – the kheer making had me almost puke !! OK I get that that was a way of reintroducing the wedding – OK but could they not have had the same conversation (about the wedding) in their bedroom where VLR is trying to sooth a distraught Anji about their loss and they saying that the family had stood by them through so much – its time they sallow their pain and gave back to the family!!
I get that the broad story line is moving perfectly – just as ODC are getting to a place in their relationship where they don’t need proof or reassurance of love- they know what they mean to each other – the world around them is getting ready to part them - so yes the general premise is really ok – but the handling of side tracks really needs to pick up – what could have been gripping is plain boring – how long can you see a shaking G and a smirking VLR??
And finally – the BFTP better be more than meets the eye – it really is stupid to assume that a mother who was so close to her kids could kill herself on her daughter’s wedding day coz she saw her husband with another woman – not to demean her love for her husband but by this time in a relationship – a mother takes over a wife! And then the father killing himself is even more ridiculous! But one thing is clear – history is repeating itself – AD was not after every woman but was interested in G and hid the truth from her – so ASR was right then, he is right now!

    2. Mona,

Fully agree with you. The story has so many holes and they are not helping by scripting it badly and executing it even more hopelessly. Arshi can brihgten even the dullest scenes but the show cannot bank on only their chemistry. I too felt that Garima was cheating on her hubby by keeping that photo for so long. I can understand her getting fooled by Sr.Mallik but after she realised the truth, which she must have considering she attended the funeral of the man and has been hiding herself from Dadi, she cannot be shown to still have feelings for the man. Is it to justify her ready forgiveness of Shyam who has now become her bitwa? So Khushi also carries this gene of forgiving her betrayer? It is difficult to digest Arnav's mother-in-law still having feelings for his dad. Somehow the sambdhan relationship is corrupted, even if one of the parties is dead.

      Delete
    3. Agree with both of you, the story has too many loopholes, Sarun save their part just with their acting and chemistry, but the rest are badly written and poorly acted ... Garima has been unimpressive to me in the reveal track, her expressions were too OTT for no one else except Shyam to have noticed, DB blew the Anjali track, but the writing was pretty shoddy as well, Shyam - we don't know what his motives are any more .. is it just revenge against Arhi that makes him kill his own baby? Also it was a stupid plan ... his baby would have tied him to Anjali regardless of marriage ...

Was Garima cheating on her husband by keeping that picture? I will wait to hear her full story before I comment on that one. She looks much younger than AD for one, and her dialogues about 'tab bhi jhooth nahin bolna chahte the, ab bhi jhooth nahin bolna chate hain' makes me think there is more to her story ... she tried to tell Dadi then and now that she didn't know AD was married, so that's not the jhooth ... then what is? If it really as simple as a full 360, I will be disappointed - this was the original story, the makers should have a really good one thought out.

    4. mona, have been missing you here!
yes, arshi scenes have a particular magic to them that is simply missing from every other scene. must be Hrishikesh Gandhi, the cinematographer.. he is working for other shows too, so maybe he works only on the arhi scenes these days.

opti, from previous episodes, i had assumed that he was a respected figure in garima's life.. and shashi knew about him.. there were letters along with that picture in the box.

i thought somebody saw garima- AD together, told stories to ratna, she saw a hug and misunderstood the whole thing.
i had assumed that after the whole MU happened and mallik couple died, shashi married garima.. (a whole story in two sentences.. am i proud of my writing skills :D)

but today, hearing from garima's mouth that "she dint know he was married" took all respectability out of the equation.

and yes, if there was an affair, garima keeping ADs letters and picture is indeed suspect.

    6. Agree Dia,Garima was unimpressive in the reveal track....she got carried away with teh praise heaped on her during the earlier track..she suddenly went from scared genuine to *hiting bricks* exp in no time...the directors shld have asked her to go slow down on hamming....

Another thing, i feel is the director is not giving suff cues to San...becos somehow i get a range of expressions from her that seem odd for the scenes in the last few days right from the call shyam back scene....when an actor has difficulty in internalising some actions(i can feel San in that situation now), its the duty of the director to step in and make the actor comfortable from the script POV to get them give their best. San is too gud an actress to slip up...and this is not my bias speaking...i am very clinical when i assess...

    7. Jaya,

Even I thought that Garima was more devoted to the man and not in love, a sort of crush an adulation bordering on workship - clue the Radha-Shyam pictures and references but her line that she did not know he was married left a bad taste in the mouth. Why do they take the effort to slaughter the characters they create?

      Delete
    8. Rekha, regarding San's expressions ... I think there was a complete furore on IF the day Khushi called Shyam back, especially with her monologue with DM about his repenting. I saw the episode late because I was travelling, and after getting feedback from here and SGH, and that was a uniform reaction - and one that I completely shared, I cringed at that scene.

I think the entire forum was united on this one, so the cv's had to backtrack on Khushi's characterization very quickly ... literally over the weekend. Now if you notice, she cringes at Shyam like before, but she had already told Garima that maybe Shyam has reformed, so that dialogue stayed.
But that inconsistency in Khushi must have bothered Sanaya too, which is why she was not very convincing in those parts. And I wonder if they are still going to show her forgive Shyam and buy his repentance ... this is a major flaw in Khushi for sure ... she would have forgiven Shyam for his misdeeds against her, but NEVER for the kidnapping and murder attempt of Arnav ... she kept quiet about Shyam in the first case more for Arnav than for Di, Arnav has always been her first thought so this just does not gel. And that must be bothering Sanaya as well. This is my reasoning entirely ... because I can usually find some reason for most of Khushi's actions ... this one I just cannot.

Opti, agree, that line about Garima not knowing AD was married did not sound good from a person like Garima. Left the question of an affair wide open, and that would justify Dadi's anger to some extent ... and even Arnav's ... however much he can accept that his dad did all the running after Garima, still the fact that she was the other woman in his mother's life and she wanted to be that, will make it more difficult for him to forgive her. In Khushi's case, she never was involved with Shyam, she never ever wanted to marry him, her engagement was forced on her, and she hated Shyam when she found out. Here Garima obviously doesn't hate AD at all.

      Delete
    9. true Dia....
it was butchering beyond imagination just to keep ASR character intact....just so that he does not have any embarrassment of getting Shyam back in the house in a scenario where K is in his life....
agreed only two could have got Shym back either K or A....but since the track was rushed and thank heavens for that, there was unfortunately no place for logic....

i wish they had created a situation in a neutral place, like a hospital or somewhere where Shyam coming back had become almost necessary ...like a bitter pill for both..i dunno tuf...i guess for CVs too to engineer that part to everyone's satisfaction...but as u say, the dialogues could should have been better..

ON garima, the last ofc hasn't been said...and the real picture may be vastly different...but genuinely if Garima was single and she thot AD was single, an affair between them is not odd...what she did after knowing abt AD's marital status is the point....

I agree it would be tuf to see another woman in a parent's life esp in circumstances where death is involved..so Arnav's situation is diffi whichever way u look at it....he lost both parents due to this. If it was not true....then the whole point of their death....would be for nothing...imagine having to come to terms with that...of lives lost

And If it was true, Arnav still has to come to terms with the woman being a reminder of the role she perhaps unwittingly played in their lives...really sad....
In a way, Arnav already lives with one such truth/burden....Anji-Shyam...and Khushi

So the Cvs have to decide which path will Arnav now take.....

      Delete
    10. There is another thing to consider ... why would AD commit suicide right after his wife did? If he WAS having an affair with another woman, he should be only too happy if he wife dies, leaves him free to marry the other woman. Unless he committed suicide not because his wife died, but because Garima found out and walked out of his life leaving him devastated ... wife dead on the day of their daughter's wedding and love abandoning him ... again, that makes him as much of a coward as his wife, to kill himself and leave the kids to pick up the pieces. Any father should be worried that his kids' mother is gone, he needs to be there for them ... forget about his own life for the moment at least. If wife is gone, he can get in second wife later, first sambhalo the shattered kids.

So the pieces of the story don't quite add up for me ... but then logic has never been a strong point for the cvs :(
Should we even bother beating our heads over it? :D

  16. really? khushi chased bitwa all around the living room? at a full run, no less! i almost expected her to start pulling his hair a la sbs. was that arshad khan's last hurrah? i have to say, she looked adorable with that moustache. (and dia, loved your take on how bitiya has brought out the bitwa in him)

the bd's hand on sanaya's face did terrible things to me as a viewer...yes, i know she is an actress and can display the same emotions coupled with anyone.. but it was almost like shyam's unclothed chest. made me cringe. if it was the other way around, if barun was shown caressing the BD's face, (in a long shot) i think my reaction would have been far better.

arnav brought her to his secret place..
now, instead of borrowing from bollywood cliches, they go straight to M&B cliches.

    the garden, the tree.
arnav says that they are married from this day.
khushi (reads) says, "arnav" .. and he hears and accepts it as her haq...to call him without the -ji. my mom's bahu.. big declaration.. does that mean that he does not need dadi-saas's approval? now that he has brought her to meet his mom, and sortof had a gandharv vivah, like you girls said (though there was nothing on khushi's face to show the enormity of the moment... is she thinking that it is another of arnav's eccentricities, will "ohh this is why you love gardening" be her only reaction? ) will he stand firm and marry her?

khushi has always seen a mercurial arnav, who can change his opinions in an instant and never give explanations. what she says as a joke, he takes seriously. what he says as a joke, she takes seriously. remember "ek baar chod diya to dobara nahi pakdunga" and "today's "i will hide where you will never find me". as far as i can see, they love each other, but are unsure of reciprocation. that is enough to trigger the shakuntala story. (thanks opti!) khushi does not see why her talking about running away upsets arnav. (even after his tearful hospital confession about everything going away..boy is this girl dumb?) and she asks, i will promise, but why did that upset you? okay, tell me later when you feel like it.

sanaya's voice modulation was totally off in this episode. i dunno why, she always does it so perfectly that this sudden change jarred. be it the 'arnavji, where are you" while blindfolded, or the whole conversation in the garden.. i think it is because the garden scene was done by the two, completely separate.

one small point of progress... aranv was right about his dad...

    1. Jaya, agree with you on the last for sure ... Sanaya's voice modulation was totally off in the garden scene. It's obvious it was because she shot that scene completely separately from Barun ... but it still jarred for me, because she is always so spot on with her expressions.

I liked that she switched to Arnav ... hope it stays as Arnav now. The ji always makes it sound too formal.

Now the ball is in Arnav's court for now ... or will be when they return. Also depends on what happens between them before they return ... will they exchange vows in front of his mother's tree, will they consummate ... or neither? I don't think they will do private pheras, after all they think their real pheras are just a day or so away.

    2. dia, i dont think she switched to arnav.. will be terribly out of character from khushi's lucknowi upbringing to call her husband without the -ji.

it is like shyam calling TQ rani sahiba.. and anjali saying shyamji.. and inhe, unhe, inko...it is part of their culture.

though bitwa is all haridwar educated and prompted her many times to call him arnav, i dont think she will.. er.. maybe in private.

and because i dont want to waste a comment space, i am adding a theory:
now that beauty and beast have bonded, it is time for gaston to come, attack the beast and "rescue" beauty. that means snakewa's interference.
arnav will come back, hear dadi's version, and somehow insult garima. khushi will be deeply hurt and withdraw from the relationship..because he insulted garima. (ret ki tarah nikal jaayega) and arnav will not follow her ( ek bar chod diya toh)

well, theories are all good till proven untrue, so waiting.. or will the shaadi happen?

"And this is where he comes to feel his mother close to him, ever since ... Never has he brought anyone else here ... Khushi is the first ...": Is this where he comes on his mom's B'day, the place even Anjali is not aware off? ("We don't know where he disappears off to on this day")

    On Garima- AD:

    did Garima mention pyar anywhere?
If they had an affair, AD is a big kameena.
    1. He kept it from his wife.
    2. He did not tell Garima about his family.

    - makes him an out and out cheat- yet, Garima keeps his picture, and this is after having told her hubby all about her past.

This can mean only one thing: there was NO AFFAIR.
She still worships the guy for something he did, and she cannot tell his Amma the truth of why he did it- he was protecting someone- died in the process- if she comes out with the truth now, it defeats the very purpose of what he sacrificed his life for.

    1. True, that is what I have been saying too ... Garima accepting she had an affair with AD is only because she was hiding a bigger truth ... I thought it might be his guilt in the death of Khushi's parents, so he was taking care of Garima and Khushi because he felt responsible ... but then she could break her silence now that he is dead, can' she?

We will have to wait and see how it rolls .. and hope that the cv's have put in some thought into this!!

      Delete
  19. Heh heh...I am having an evil thought now.
What if Dadi's husband had an affair?
And Garima is the other woman's daughter who was brought up by Khushi;s grandfather.
When dada came to know about this daughter, he tried to kill her and ended up killing K's parents. And maybe he died sometime soon after that. AD took care of his half sister and the orphaned child.

This is why Garima cannot tell the truth.
AD died trying to protect his father's name.
And she cannot undo all that since he has extracted a promise of silence out of her....rubbish theory, but look at the bright side.

    Hmmmphh Dadi,
Who is the wife now who allowed her husband to stray? Whose fault is it that this entire drama happened?
NOt your husband's, not the other woman's...it is entirely YOUR fault that YOU could not keep YOUR husband interested in YOU.(Not surprising!)

    2. Su, this last was BRILLIANT!!! I really hope they show this as the story ... it will be so totally "In Your Face, Dadi!!" So Garima is not the woman Dad had an affair with, but his half-sister!!! And Garima is then Arnav's bua, a mother figure.

But that would make Arnav wrong about his dad ... oh well, I can live with that because it would be nice for Arnav to make peace with his father's memory ... also, then the wicked chacha could have instigated the mother to think this was an affair and so she committed suicide ... and Dad never could tell her why he was taking care of Garima all along.

Also Garima has never shown any maternal feeling towards Arnav after she realised who he was ... though that could be poor scripting. Or acting.
      Or both. ;)

    3. Su........thats a brilliant thot.....liked it......a lot....

making peace with something that is not in my control is my mantra....there are enuf things in our control that one is yet to master....so....

    4. Su, And one partial gloatwa vey for me, if what u say happens (my first probably) that G has something big on Dadi....(my creativity does not extend to what could be that scenario, i am but an arm chair philosopher!!) LOL

In fact, i used to wonder what does G actually think if she does not have a plan B in action considering the face-off could not be put off permanently..then i thot may be she is gonna run or plain simple writers have not thot that far...but yesterday....the way Garima kept pleading and then when she turned, i could sense a steely look of determination on her face, that forced me to make that comment abt fighting for her daughters...it might be my figment of imagination but i saw that look on her face...freeze the frame after Dadi says it will not happen...

    5. And again, this would mean Garima and Khushi's mother were not real sisters...Khushi's grandparents may be someone who brought Garima up perhaps becos thats the only way...u can avoid a even a tenuous blood link to the Arnav-Khushi bond..

else it would be a half-cousin link for Arnav Khushi

Garima is half bua to Arnav and
      Khushi is Garima's niece....

and i think writers would do everything to avoid it...

    6. Girls,
This was just an 'evil thought', because I am TOTALLY pissed off with the slap- happy dadi. This is the first time I am lashing out at her, because I really cannot stand this level of highhandedness. All the dialogues and stopwa , I can handle, but yesterday she crossed the limits. Even if Garima did have an affair,(which I believe we have no proof of, still) that slap was totally not called for.

The thought is the same, the premises may be different.
AD was protecting someone. Either it was someone who killed K's parents or it was someone who pursued Garima relentlessly (evil chacha)- he was repeatedly accused of having an affair (lakh baar mana karne ke baad bhi)by dadi-
yet he did not come out with the truth- he was protecting someone within the family, hoping that person will reform or threatening that person to behave himself...- that ended in his death.

Garima thinks he committed suicide because his wife committed suicide.
"humein pata nahi tha woh shadi shuda hai"- sounds like an affair, but she could've said those words out of intense guilt.

A man who had come out of his way to help her, was MUed by his wife, a husband and wife committed suicide on her account, two children were orphaned.

GUILT: explains why Garima slapped Khushi, why she is hiding from dadi, why she looked at AD's photo and cried.

PROOF OF NO AFFAIR: that she may not have, but what was the relationship between AD and Garima?
      1. Blood relation- like I said, I did not like the slap, so I dragged dadaji into this. (But dadaji does not explain the murder theory of ASR's parents, it is less likely if we want ASR's parents not to have committed suicide- LOL)

      2. He protected her and Khushi from someone- dadaji or chachaji.

      3. He himself accidentally caused K's parent's death- there was nothing to hide there- he could've told his mom and wife.

      Delete
    7. Brilliant idea Su but then how does one explain AD hiding the fact that he is married? Afterall if he is her half brother he would have told her who are the other family members in his house, wouldn't he? Did Garima lie about that too to paint herself red?

      Delete
    8. Opti,
This was a dadi- bashing idea, I myself have reservations about it being the truth.
One is because of what you said, and the other because if dadaji was the reason, then the parents did commit suicide, which does not fit in with the murder theory(which is the one I am most fond of, btw).

A more likely explanation may be the chachaji being the ultimate villain- the one who pursued Garima, whom AD protected Garima from, and who killed his brother and SIL to keep his reputation clean and have all the money for himself.

  21. girls, today is saw a snippet of balika vadhu.. and was gripped into the tale, such powerful acting and storytelling! wow!!! no winder IPK TRPs are so low.

i have been watching BV in one-minute glimpses for a long time,(not interested in the storyline) but this episode today.. that girl, Prathyusha Banerjee.. (applause) will be in my mind's eye for a looong time.

    1. Jaya,
I've been saying this for quite some time now.
BV is done beautifully. The characters are so well etched out, there is no comedy- it is a serious story. The whole story flows effortlesly, meaning, there is not a moment you will want to kosten.

And they are having the regret track of the first husband and the opinion polls of whether she should forgive her erring ex- hubby is on full flow.
Their trp is suddenlynear DABH, 5.2 if I remember.

      Kosten:
Think about an average Indian household, when you have a teenaged daughter at home, and a choice between a show that depicts a girl who fights the social evils and wins(BV and DABH) on one channel and

a show that seems to be a M&B on TV,

      which one will you prefer?

I'll prefer IPK to BV any day, (BV is the second best show for me, and after that comes MB)..but I do feel a little odd when I watch IPK with my niece....Could be the reason why so many prefer to watch it on net.

      Delete
    2. IPK is nothing if not for the ARHI story...to make it compete with stories/serials that have sub-plots,social themes, slice of everyday life in my view was a wrong call...

Ideally, a love story has a shelf life....within that IPK has passed every test possible becos i can safely, no love story can be this enduring...but lets face it, there are not many takers for a pure love story among the audience....(most get bored of it, they are happy to watch everyday incidents, problems dramatised and magnified many times over and

Then given the constraints of what u can actually show on prime time keeping audience, maker, channel, actor sensibilities ....the list really narrows down

Probably, IPK makers should have just looked to tell entertaining tale without giving in to should i say, the urge to milk the chemistry, hype (but nyways, i am not the one who has put the money where my mouth so i better shut up)and I am sure IPK makers are getting the mileage out of this

  22. just wondering -

given what the CVs have painstakingly tried to show – the blooming of love between the lead pair – the assurance of being there for each other – the ‘no need for proof’ kind of love – The CVs have now dug a grave for themselves – now no matter who backs out – be it KKG or ASR – that person is the cheat – the liar – the one who did not hold on to their end of the bargain!
The only way it will make sense to me is if they both stay together and fight it together – either both stay together to fight G or to fight for G – otherwise all this show of undying – perfect love is valueless – the first real obstacle and they collapse??

    1. Mona,
Hi...missed you, I was going to shout out for you today.

Totally with this point you made here.
I am breaking my head over where Gul is taking us. The garden house was a surprise and there is so much these two have shared, so the question is, is there a separation?

Dadi has threatened that she will destroy Payal's marriage also, will K end up making a choice for her family again?
And save ASR from the pain of coming face to face with the 'other woman'?

Really looks like they have dug a grave, never expected them to go forward so boldly with Arhi so soon.

    2. copying from my comment above, how does this version sound?

arnav will come back, hear dadi's version, and somehow insult garima. khushi will be deeply hurt and withdraw from the relationship / silently accept dadi's getout(ret ki tarah nikal jaayega)..because he insulted garima. and arnav will not know about this play by dadi, but when he comes to know, will regret his headfreeze and try his best to woo her back.

then khushi will be perfectly justified in withdrawing.. even though she loves him, insult to her mom is unacceptable. insult to herself she can bear..

and arnav will be justified too.. how can he accept the woman who caused his moms death? he loses his head when angry, but by the time he cools down, everything will be shattered by dadi and shyam's careful ramanchi.

you know, we are playing with the future. if we build a big SKD, it will be that much of a letdown when it shatters.. so i'm not gonna predict the future anymore. just enjoy the show, as they want to show it.

    3. Absolutely Monu, u said it....

The problem is the Trust edifice is a romantic notion but the way it has been presented, every passionate viewer has taken that to heart....

I am not saying that the notion does not exist....in fact it is very quintessence of any relationship but in real life, we can live with aspects questioned and answered. However, when it is presented romantically as it has been in IPK, benchmark is very high....

which is why i still say, i am not going to be surprised with a recoil by Arnav becos the truth, this man is ultra emotional about his past...thats one dark thing still very active in him...he has only started to open up....yes...having said that....what i expect as a viewer who holds the trust edifice dear, he has to show courage to come out of it as well...and i hope audience is patient about that track...

    4. ASR is the one who has always put the distance between them.
First it was because he could not accept his feelings and then because of what he thought she did to his sister. ASR has come a long way from there.
He does not even chant di anymore.
And there is no way he can go back on this wedding now, for me.

The after game scene- when he is about to take her up for her punishment, Khushi lets go of her hand, ASR grabs hold of it immediately.

Since it is within K's characterisation to have some 'silly' notions and act selflessly, I wouldn't mind if she made that step away...for the sake of her family provided it is done with 'some' amount of decent explanation.

The number of the car changed, I felt. It was something else last time, or was it a different car? (Jaya?)
      Yesterday they showed 1001= 10.01.
      Oct 1 - monday ?

    5. U r right, Su....and perhaps Arnav's initial recoil may set that in motion.....for K to put some distance....in other words...others will not have a say in their separation....not dadi or anybody....

and lets be absolutely honest, Arnav will be shocked if he gets to hear that G is the OW...irrespective of what his next actions/reactions are.....so K, it will be to put the distance....

I should take J's advice and let the past unfold but this dil hain ki manta nahin on one aspect and that is...between the two scenarios of an Arnav who was right about the past in respect of his father or an Arnav who realises that he was very wrong about his father, i seem to have a preference for the former...just becos it keeps some of my notions about the "hero" alive....varna herogiri ke bahut kam mauke mile hain Arnav ko...atleast let him be right about one thing..."Main tab bhi sahin tha, main ab bhi sahi hoon"...

Garima ko toh woh samajh hi lega, in any case....

    6. I guess we want different things from ASR's dad.
If you remember, right from the beginning, when this discussion came up in the kidnap track also, I felt the dad was MU-ed.
I guess, that is why I am seeing things the way I want it to be shown. If dad turns out to be a nice guy, ASR will regret MUing his father- but he will have happy memories of his father too.

Herogiri- ab kya kaam hai iska- he MU-d an innocent girl he had fallen in love with, and he was definitely not right there. Let him at least show herogiri in accepting that he was wrong, as he has with K, I admire men who can do that.

Yes, unlike dadi, who has not learned anything all these years- why can't she go back to that Ashram? Grrrrrr....
Seriously, slapping Garima! Who does she think she is?

      Delete
    7. Su, actually strictly speaking i don't have any specific expectations of the track, just that they add to the love story...if they do that i am happy...i have not been able to form any fond feelings for A's dad ...kuch bataya hi nahin...so mujhe faraq nahin padta...its like if they had shown some glimpses....i could have said this over that...anyways....mera first expectation is all drama around to contribute to the love story....simple...varna don't do drama..

As for herogiri...poor guy has not been able to show even one proper shatir dimagi..ab words ki hi laaj reh jaaye...LOL
