So Anjali gets going full throttle on her fasting nautanki ... boy oh boy, a frail Mahatma Gandhi at age 70 plus was able to fast for days on end before collapsing, our delicate doll manages one night ... considering she stuffed herself just the night before, and next morning she refuses to eat and goes into shock. Just twelve hours of fasting does that to her? Makes me wonder how many meals a day she was eating at her brother's expense ... no wonder Shyamji is bloating away from her, she probably ate his share as well! :))
Am feeling mean today :))
Di's tantrums about not eating reminded me of my daughter at age two ... as far as I remember, I tried to feed her then gave up on the premise that when she's hungry, she will eat ... unfortunately RMvasis don't believe in that adage ... neither do they see the nurse hanging around ... arey bhai, give her a sedative and hook her up to an IV glucose bottle, apne aap theek ho jayegi! Better still put in an NG tube ... the discomfort of that might make her forget her fasting tactics in a hurry!
Anyway, Khushi has had enough ... I don't blame her! Call the Creepwa and give the Baby her rattle! Besides, Khushi is the only one to brave Arnav's wrath ... the rest are just standing around helplessly. Although it would have been smarter of Khushi to call the doctor when she couldn't reach Arnav and ask her to get the nurse to knock Anjali out and then give her a drip ... that would have kept Anjali quiet as well ... *sigh* missed opportunities!!!
Shyam's hoping for someone to beg him to return ... don't think Khushi did exactly that :) ... but whatever. And Arnav is totally justified in getting annoyed with Khushi, but then he wasn't doing much to help either ... and when he sees Di going all gooey-eyed over the return of her Shyamji, all he can do is stare helplessly ... arey bhai, if you're so angry, then yell at Shyam and throw him out in front of your precious Di, and tell her to her face why you don't believe him! Bolti band in front of Di as always ... when will this guy grow up?! You threw him out once, throw him out again! But of course he can't, not when Darling Di is cupping his face and saying 'thank you' for restoring her world, her life to her ... and here he was thinking Di is over the creep and learning to move on. Rude shock for poor Arnav ... did he have NO idea of what his Di was feeling?! Wait, he did ... she asked for her favorite toy back a day ago, big brother said no ...

Was glad that Khushi redeemed herself slightly ... she tried to call Arnav before she took the decision, and it was all about Di and her deteriorating condition for her, not about giving Shyam another chance ... small mercies.
Was also glad that Nani said in front of Arnav that Di was collapsing and recovered miraculously on seeing Shyam ... will that ring bells in his mind that it was not just Shyam who was playing tricks? Don't think so ... Saint Di cannot sin ... but at least he has heard that Anjali was (apparently) in very bad shape and that was why Khushi took this step.
And loved the precap ... an Arshi fight is on! And a very private, very husband-wife type of fight ... though it won't stay private for too long, am guessing.
Wonder what Dadi's reaction will be at Khushi being the one to bell the cat and get Shyam back ... I think the rest of the family will be relieved that Anjali is recovering, and will agree with her decision with varying degrees of enthusiasm/reluctance. Which will probably be a factor in continuing with the wedding ...

There were two routes to that magic they could have -
1.ARhi United in conflict against the rest of the family
2.Arhi in conflict with each other
The first they decided not to take.
The second they took but it is lukewarm - for a conflict to create that magic again the friction has to be bad enough to hurt... but they are going the sappy way of hume karna pada and now Arnav sulking ..it is too passive to generate the tempo...if they are planning to start with this and end with Garima-dadi issue - I doubt if they can keep the interest..
To me what Khushi did to Arnav is unacceptable - I have been a strong Khushi supporter from the first episode but this is just crazy - she talks about bharosa but breaks it willy nilly...
Actually you know what, may be that's what is needed to get that spark back- ASR losing it and asking "tumhen kyon itni jaldi padi hai Shyam ko laane ki " and distancing himself..that should snap her out of la la land
While it is difficult for us to think of it after all the trust building , she is the one breaking it now -that should make our madam wake up to the damage she has done,just who she is bringing back , make her extra careful of how she acts around Shyam and also make her realise what it means to be the ardhangini - you do not take unilateral decisions on crucial things like this ..

Payal...she was SO disinterested in the scene where she is with dadi in anjali's room...can literally see deepali counting her days in the show now.. :) and cam't believe the CVs are still not decent enough to give her a nice farewell if she is indeed leaving.. atleast leave us with a nice akash-payal scene.. yess, I would prefer the anyday over Mr and Mrs Snake Jha!
Khushi..THANK YOU for showing that you have an iota of brain and atleast thinking of calling arnav before going to meet shyam.. that you didn't do it is another thing altogether...but after reading the comments I was quite sure you would go get shyam without thinking even once abt arnav whom you love so much, dammit! And CVs gave me hopes wrt hkushi's character redemption -
1. All of khushi's thoughts revolved around getting shyam back for anji well being and NOT because shyam has genuinely reformed
2. "hume aisa karna pada" and not, "shyamji sudhar gaye hain, hume unhe ek mauka dena chahiye".. meaning, she still feels its a necessity and not something she genuinely wants..
3. Shyam's dialogues where he says "ab khushiji ko bhi maanana hoga ki hume waapas bulane ke alava unke paas aur koi raasta nahi hai" .. looks like CVs are majorly trying to stuff their POV down out throats, saying khushi still has some sanity left! Don't mind that at all.. :)
Nani..I LOVE YOU, dammit!! :)) the way she tried to console buaji.. knowing how illogical and stipid her precious princess was behaving.. she really IS the wise one..
Dadi...are her thoughts towards khushi gonna change when she finds out khushi is the one who brought shyam back? Or will it pave more way for "unhone apne matlab ke liye ye kiya?"
Arnav.. I am soooo looking forward to tomorrow!!! For once, you have complete permission to shout at khushi, yell at her, do whatever you want...but I hope you remember in the end that its you whom she loves and that you can visibly see the changes in her behaviour when shyam is back...
So, according to new spoilers shaadi preparations resume, so can we hope for arnav-khushi to hatch a plan to expose shyam together??? *SHIDDAT*
In khushi's defense, she is atleast thinking of solutions to get di out of misery, however dumb and illogical they might be and she DID try to contact arnav before she went and got shyam back.. what exactly is arnav doing to get his di out of misery? Visiting random gynaecologists with akash?? Anjali/DB... kya kahein yaar, you surpass yourself everyday in your pathetic-ness.. I mean, everyday I think "nooo she can't be worse than this" and everyday you prove me wrong.. why don't you do a deepali and say "I quit"???? Sab ka bhala ho jayega..

Did Shyam deliberately show himself to Khushi? How did he know she had seen him? He is smart enough to realise that only Khushi's soft heart can overcome Arnav's decision ... so he will make it a point to be good to Anjali in front of Khushi ... unless of course Arnav is fool enough to show that he is helpless in the face of Di's tantrums. And wouldn't put it past Shyam to make sure Anjali doesn't recover for a good long time ...
Chalo, we do have some wedding festivities to look forward to now ... though am still wondering whether the actual wedding will take place or not!
Dia, i think the marriage will happen, but will again be a hate marriage.......with Garima truth out in the open, and Khushi wont know bt it till much later......she will just think that he is angry as she got Shyam back without consulting him.......

The recaps used to end with, "kya khushi jaan payegi"about garima's secret- I have a feeling she will be the one to know before him.
Hate marriage- I hope they won't play the same track again- if they do, I'll be disappointed...in fact, Gul has brought the relationship to such a level that nothing can stop Arnav from getting Khushi- even if she wants to move away...too early to guess, I guess.

thinking from the story, not what we actually watched on screen.. anjali was deeply disturbed with the miscarriage, she almost lost touch with reality, refuses to accept that her husband is a cheat, refuses to eat food.. i am pretty sure nani had flashbacks of her own daughter's suicide.. and she might have been scared that anjali will do something similar.. and heaved a big sigh of relief when TQ seemed to get new wind in her sails on sight of KP.

DeleteYep, story point of view se Creepwa being brought back made sense ... am just very glad that Khushi didn't continue with her 'he has reformed and deserves a chance' funda and switched to 'it's only for Di' ... that made it bearable for me, because we all knew he would be brought back, and apart from Arnav himself, no one else had the balls to bell the cat.

Am not mad at KKG either ... I did see where she was coming from, and besides, if they had done the sensible things like made her speak to Arnav or the doctor, it would have only postponed the inevitable ... VLR had to come back for the story to progress, so am just glad they cut it short and got him back already, the whole Di-rama is over, it was getting nauseating!
Though why they needed that fight between Arshi, I don't know ... unless cv's also felt too much love and no friction was getting a bit too mushy. I certainly did ... am ready for a fight and some roothna manana.
Thank u all, my birthday kind of started half an hour before midnight :D but my daughter literally did take the cake! And all behind my back, when I was in office! best part, she called up a cousin to find out how to make icing!! Am one proud mom today :D :D

Khushi didn't change because she never went home in the middle ... did she take all her clothes back home when she left RM? Why didn't Arnav change? I guess they were both too caught up with Di-rama ;)

and was that DB's Bd who had white nailpolish and was cupping arnav bitwa's face? because just an instant ago, she was cupping everyone's face with that jarring red nailpolish that both SILs shared for their shared function...

I have to agree with you Jaya, this was a good episode, and Khushi is one brave lady, and she is going to have a lot of explaining to Arnav that is if she will be able to get the,words out with Arnav raising the roof off with his anger at what she has done. She has not only gone against him but has also brought the person he hates into his house. Fireworks are going to happen. I hope,they restrict Shyam's time at RM and only,allow him at meal times etc and,supervised by someone other than Dadi. Hope Arnav does use his brain once he cools down.

ReplyDeleteDunno about IPK popularity in TRP ratings, but we have the top show on SP copying IPK happily ... with a kidnapping track and pen drives ... I laughed out loud when I saw the candle wick promo!!! And the maid is kidnapped and held at gunpoint ... the exact scene is copied!

DeleteRight now the lampwick show has a better track than IPK. Don't know if the scenes were inspired by IPK but here they have at least got a logical explanation for the kidnapping and the pen drive, unlike our show which only showed the hero doing nothing to free himself while he was moved from place to place.
The track in the wick show is about a terrorist who masquerades as an innocent citizen mingling with the family. When the maid realised he is not what he claimed to be, he gets her kidnapped and the pen drive contains his plan of attack which he had wanted to convey to his bosses through a private wireless network but couldn't do so because the heroine accidentally finds out about the wireless network and informs the police who, in turn, have alerted the cyber crime patrol. The terrorist is now desperate to get back the pen drive which lands in the heroine's hand. She has no clue what it contains but has gone to the police to report the maid's absence.
All said and done, despite the show being regressive in the treatment of its female leads, it has not sight of logic while spinning its yarn. All loops are painstakingly closed and they do their homework for every track. It has its disadvantages too. The leads lack chemistry, the supporting cast is loud, the show is slow moving etc but there is a lot our show can learn from it.
I think I'm going to start watching it ... I like logic in a show. The main problem is the female lead ... she is so bad, and her dialogue delivery is pathetic! I wanted to watch it when it started because I liked the concept of a woman studying after marriage and her husband supporting her - very true to real life for me :)
DeleteI even watched the first few episodes but the heroine and Bhabho's loud acting and typical MIL behaviour put me off - I hate saas-bahu drama! But will give it a shot.
Am also planning to try the new show on Sony with Raqesh Vashisht and Aamna ... sounds pretty good.

She did something I thought she’d do (nani seeing the dadi point…part of my worst case scenario, but that dialogues was silly and made nani look like a fool- it does not help if the actor is not convinced about her character too- love story ke liye kya kya khona padta hai…kis kis ko kurbani deni padti hai…)
2. 2. She did something I thought she wouldn’t do (K getting Shyam back without consulting ASR!!!!! – at least the wise ladies here had prepared me for it , so I did not flip..ate my words..)
2 points on this development-
1. Shyam had to be brought back int RM and it had to be done by Khushi- how to do this?
Op 1: Let K talk it out with ASR and convince him.- brainless ASR.
Op2: Let K talk it out , ASR disagrees – then the whole family forces him, so he agrees- murder of every character including ASR, since he should not bow down to any one’s hare brained ideas when HE KNOWS what is the truth.
Op3: K tries to contact ASR- unsuccessful- gets Shyam back since she cannot stand Di going psychotic+ may be she feels someone has repented…gets him back…ASR is helpless now once Di has thanked him for it:
Ekta Kapoor would’ve taken op 1 or 2
I am glad 4 lions took op 3, because it gives us 2 fantastic results…
1. ASR is out of his SKD, knows what Di really wants, and he is still not convinced about Shyam, but his hands are tied due to K’s well meaning, immature reaction..
2. Yipppeeee… we get ASR back- everytime he goes into mourning and turns moony- K mothers him….we get Arnav
But when she provokes him…we get Arhi chemistry ….
To yeh hai in logon ka formula.. switch off switch on ASR mantra- Khushi ke sanaka devi roop- that brings out the fire in him…and I don’t mean anger…there is passion beneath this.

Di- rama over...exactly why I heaved a sigh of relief yesterday.
Yep, Su, my feelings exactly ... if Khushi had done the sensible things, and spoken to Arnav, or tried to get a doctor, or tried to persuade him, it would have just postponed the inevitable ... and given us more of the Di-rama to swallow. I was mentally prepared for this to happen, so now am just glad it's over and done with and we don't have to see a married couple sneaking around to meet like teenagers and their Dabba ve scenes ... pukeworthy!!! Especially when you know one is a pakka villain ... it creates NO sympathy at all for the other!!!

I just hope that Khushi tells Arnav, or he realises somehow that DI has been going behind his back to meet Creepwa ... the deceit was not all from Khushi's end, his devoted sister was equally deceitful, in fact more! He needs to get out of his SKD about Di being Saint Anjali.

The one where you said you managed to convince yourself that she accepted the hate marriage because of guilt about being the reason for Payal's first marriage breaking...
After I read that post, this thought came.
Does she have guilt now too?
And that guilt was sown in her mind by ASR himself- when he accused her that night of being responsible for Di's marriage breaking..it is not a strong feeling of guilt, perhaps...I think she still harbours it somewhere in her subconscious.
I am not saying the guilt made her take this step, just that may be there is some guilt and ASR is responsible for that... even though he told her he didn't mean it.

ReplyDeletei don't know if u read my other post which was in reply to ur concern on whether Gul will pull out the trust edifice track well when the chips are down...its the beauty of the idea, imo, that is more real..not whether it works in real life or not. so obviously a litmus test for Gul...and us too
Also Khushi's realisation of love has always been glossed over.....but the narrative worked becos for me Khushi has lived her love, literally wearing her heart on her sleeve...so an action putting her love in danger seemed odd to me...strictly my feeling..
Just like Arnav has travelled some distance in this journey of realisation of love, so has Khushi...probably i thot, this was the time to put it to test..so naturally disappointed that she did not top the class.....
But, i guess, if one wants to defend her actions, its absolutely possible...that is the beauty of opinions....if we look at this fictional tale with a microscope, u can't go beyond the first few episodes....really....
so coming back to ur question, Gul may left some gaps to close on that...the regular audience is hardly looking at it in these minute terms...for them MU is common between lovers....roz MU karo aur roz manao....its people like us who are actually looking for logic in love.....*starting the jhap again*

It WAS a test of her brains ... heart won over mind big time here ... and she gave in to the tantrums of two-year old Di. Something every woman has to learn when she becomes a mother - you can't give in to tantrums of your kids when they demand something which you know is bad for them.

DeleteMy thoughts are not well formed on this. I did not quote that scene and the guilt factor as an explanation or logic for her actions...when I get it right, may be I will be able to make it clear.
I guess I am wondering if he instilled a sense of guilt in her with that careless accusation.
And if he will be made to re-visit that comment again...
I had forgotten that scene, but now something (it was Rekha's post actually) makes me wonder if he can just get away with a 'I did not mean it'...because he actually succeeded in making her feel guilty enough to pack up and go home(at least that was one factor too) and he has not addressed it from then.

On the other side, this is the only serial who uses so much bds. I don't understand exactly what's the point. I miss the love story of k and a. I hope to see them more often now that shyam is already back.
