Fri 30/3 -220 ... Small Heart Big Ego vs Big Heart Small Ego

March 30th Fri

Bholi surat dil ke khote
Naam bade aur darshan chote, darshan chote ...

Today Arnav reminded me of this song ... his ego is far bigger than his love. And Khushi is all heart, no place for ego. She needs it all to be able to love this man ... he comes across as singularly unloveable at times!

Didn't care for the public uthak baithak he made her do ... x(
Didn't care for the very ungraceful way he agreed to drink the kadha ... for Di again!!! Di ka bhakt!!!
The teasing look when he made her clean her room was okay ... but not seeing even slightly her genuine repentance about making him lose his voice, or feeling even the slightest bit bad about teasing her that way, was not. x(
And the last line of his I did not like at all. Is your ego so big that you can't admit even once to being wrong in front of your wife? x(

I hope Khushi does give him the silent treatment tomorrow and more - he deserves it. Was good to see her blast him at the end ... even though he shut her up so cruelly.
Quite a few miles added on to that RTR today.

Makes me wonder - will he ever see her repentance as genuine?

Shyam makes more moves ... good! He is getting desperate now!
Mami-Payal scenes are improving slowly.

*edited ... Finally!!! Got time to re-watch the episode after a hectic day running around hospitals and doctors .. My father was not well, hence the emergency trip, fortunately he's doing much better and so I'm in a better mood for the re-watch as well ;) ... thanks so much, girls, for your concern and best wishes!*
Starts with Khushi rubbing it in that she did something smart and saved Arnav's company, so he can be a good boy and say sorry and thank you. Of course Arnav's ego is into top gear immediately ... thank her?! Acknowledge that she proved smarter than him?! After all his pompous remarks on his brain and her lack of it?! No way!
Car screeching to halt ... I pity the brakes on Arnav's cars - he abuses them almost as much as he does Khushi :))
And he disappears ...
And she waits ...
First in anticipation ... he can't speak, maybe he's gone to get me a gift as a sorry and thank you. Then, before I could groan at Khushi's lapse into idiocy again, she acknowledges it herself ... Arnav and gift?! In your dreams, girl!
So true ... she really does know him well!

And being Khushi, she can get into trouble even sitting quietly in a parked car ... I'm bored waiting, let me try my hand at pretending to drive ... and update my diary too - adding to her list of accomplishments, she managed to hurt Arnavji again by accident. Is she making a list of times she hurt Arnav to try and figure out which hurt it was that hurt him so much? Would be nice if they showed her thinking of that once in a while.
Time for trouble ... in the shape of traffic cop ... you're parked in No Parking, show me your license.

Don't have one ... I was just sitting here for fun.
Traffic cop is not amused ... you're not a child pretending to drive ... license or fine ...
HH reappears ... and is very amused to find wifey in trouble, and he's not going to help her out until she apologizes to him, for all the things he was annoyed about - her not telling him about the MIB, her holding forth on sabzi-bhaji ...
On second watch, I still didn't like the uthak-baithak ... should have stopped at holding her ears and saying sorry ... then I would have appreciated Arnav's teasing more ... as it was, it still came across as a mix of sulking and sour grapes ...
And she refuses to speak to him further ... no more demands for apologies or thanks, she's sulking too. Me on Khushi's side on this one ... good girl, give him the silent treatment!

Next day already? And Bitwa's voice still not back, so doctor is called ... doesn't he know of any medication which a diabetic can be given?! And doctor sahab, anti-histaminics are safe for diabetics! Payal suggests asking Buaji/Amma ... worried Khushi goes to do the needful.

Mami-Payal gear up for fashion show and speech. How come Payal speaks good English and not Khushi? Didn't they go to the same school? Good to see Payal's crocodile tears drying up slowly ... the equation slowly changing? Mami's one-liners - remix! =)) desi to videsi =))

Arnav being cajoled like a sulky two year old to be a good boy, drink up his nasty medicine, it's good for him ... and Arnav Bitwa refusing ... something that Khushi made can't be good for him. She's already a point up on the points table, he's not giving her any more opportunities to score.
Bitwa is seriously getting back his lost childhood here :))
Nani finally blackmails Bitwa with Anjali's name ... and Arnav, glaring at Khushi, succumbs ... glaring at her again, daring her to do an 'I told you so ...' wisely, she manages to refrain till he's out of sight.
So the entire family knows how to keep Arnav in order ... use Di ... Bitwa really needs to grow out of his Nirupama Di fixation ... he is so transparently easy to manipulate!

And Bitwa's voice returns .. much to his surprise ... oh no, she won again? More points to her? No way! So when a worried Khushi comes bursting in, asking if his voice is back, he plays dumb ... literally :))
Khushi getting more and more worked up ... 'this is the first time this kadha hasn't worked' ... smirk, smirk ... 'shouldn't be too surprised, there are lots of things which don't work on him' ... One glare at that one, and she pipes down ... but it's enough, he's loving this, seeing her all worked up and fretting about him, especially when he can now sit back and enjoy it ... so he needles her some more, reminding her of what the doctor said ... and Khushi falls for it ... who said she's smart? He's smarter ... more satisfied smirks as she bustles around cleaning the room ... finishes happily ... and then knocks over the cd rack and a plant with it ... more cleaning to be done! He almost shouts, remembers just in time that he's dumb, and holds back ... whoa, Arnav Singh Raizada, you actually held your temper for once ... just to keep Khushi fooled! So you can hold on to it when you really want to!

Nani tries to reassure Khushi that Arnav will be okay, but Khushi is too worried ... it's all her fault, she has to fix it. Again a pointer to the future - Nani was always Khushi's champion, and now she sees again Khushi's genuine penitence for what was a simple mistake, not a deliberate misdeed.

Shyam into action again - he's getting very desperate if he's trying to break into Arnav's cupboard when he's just outside in his garden. Foiled this time by NQ, with more remedies for Arnav's throat ... and he realizes he's being foolhardy ...

Khushi's last attempt to get back Arnav's voice ... tried and tested Bollywood ... scare him into shouting. And it works :)) Arnav can't stop himself from telling her she's mad!
Mama Mami were hilarious with their dialogues here ... Mama delighted, Mami horrified - hello hi Arnav bye bye ... Mama, wow, I didn't know these gharelu Bollywood nuska's of Khushi worked so well ... Payal chimes in, so does Nani ... Mama adds that now Arnav has to praise Khushi ... and Arnav has had enough ... that's what he's been trying his best to avoid doing all this while ... and he gives the game away himself - 'the stupid Bollywood nuska didn't work, it was the kadha that did the trick, three hours back ...'
Whoops ... hence proved ... yet again ... when Bitwa gets annoyed, his brain goes straight on shut down mode ...

Mama and family are tickled ... so Arnav was fooling them all? Playing pranks? But Khushi is angry ... 'you lied to me, you deceived me ... why?!'
Hit him hard? Was that why his mood changed suddenly? She, who's been lying to him, deceiving him, is accusing him? He doesn't have to ...
He shuts up ... belatedly remembering the listening family members. Mama again very cute ...'we've overstayed our welcome, let Khushi bitiya do the hisaab with Bitwa ... carry on, bitiya' ... leaving no doubt, whose side he's on ... cute Mama!
And alone with Arnav, Khushi blasts again ... 'why did you lie to me? Seeing me so worried, were you having fun?!'
And Arnav lets loose ... 'I didn't want you to get the credit ...'
Giving Khushi another glimpse of what? His ego? His arrogance? Unless they change the last bit of the scene on Monday, or carry on from there, he hasn't given her any clue as to the real truth bugging him ... the words were chosen to emphasize his ego and his soreness over being shown up to look dumb in his office ...

Thoughts - cv's working very hard on bringing Khushi's character back, thank god they finally woke up. Childlike rather than childish, always ready to accept her fault and try her best to make amends ... and always sensitive to other people's pain. Unfortunately it seems that Arnav is still wearing the blinkers of the terrace scene, which blind him to seeing anything else.

The last dialogues of Arnav's - emphasized his ego more than anything else. On re-watch I got that his mood changed when she said that he lied to her, deceived her, but it wasn't very obvious ... I had to look for the change.Cv's should have emphasized it more ... with some change of bg music or something ... I also looked whether Arnav took a look at Shyam or Shyam took a look at Khushi to set Arnav off, but that didn't happen either.

So this episode and Thursday's seemed to be more about bringing Khushi back on track, and as usual, the cv's tend to go overboard and compromise the other character when they do that ... Friday was about redeeming Khushi and reviving Arnav's ego ... and his blinkered outlook on life. His eyes have seen a scene, his brain processed it, and gave him a hazy conclusion which the frightened, abandoned child in him accepted as the truth - another person he loved has abandoned him, just like his mother did, and all he has left to hold on to is his Di - again. And he can't and won't forget that ... even though his heart tells him time and again that he's wrong. He will not allow himself to soften towards Khushi, admit that she has any redeeming qualities, because he's made up his mind that she abandoned him, and he hates her for that. Even though it's getting difficult to remember that at times ... many times.

Nani again sees the side of Khushi that always accepts her mistakes and does her best to rectify them or atone for her mistakes ...

Thurs 29/3 - 219 ... Anyone Can Make A Mistake

Thurs March 29th

After watching the first half of the episode, I was surprised that you girls hadn't commented on how foolish and OTT Khushi was during the important meeting with the Sethi brothers =)) ... and how come Arnav didn't physically throw her out =))
The second half of the episode explained that of course!!! =))

So was TQ the slightest bit suspicious of her sleazeball hubby? Or was it more about 'don't talk about property and dying and all, I love you too much' ... I think she wasn't completely satisfied by TF's explanation today. She might not do anything about it, but the seed will remain ... until TF can find a way to explain it convincingly ... like he did during the ring episodes.

So Akash realizes that Khushi jo kuch bhi karti hai, kuch soch samajh kar karti hai. Am impressed ... how did Khushi know to call EOW? I didn't even know such a thing existed!

And Arnav gets another insight into the way his wife works ... kabhi soch samajhkar, kabhi just for masti! Seems like this track is all about Arnav getting to know the real Khushi ... and trust her. Although his ego is still too big to allow him to apologize or say thank you to her ...

Need to watch the car ride again ... but the precap is definitely him getting his own back on her ... though not with malice or bitterness this time ... but with a big smirk. A bit like the tyre changing time - I should say thanks, but I won't. He loves playing games with her ... and winning. Though really, Bitwa, making your wife do uthak baithak on the road? Not nice :(  :-S

I think I really won't have much to add tomorrow ;) but anyway ... *edit later*
*edited*
Starts with Shyam pottering around in ArHi wardrobe, caught redhanded by WW (Worshipping Wifey), and for once, doesn't have an excuse ready, so falls back, as he did once before, on the simple truth ... of course, gambling on the certainty that he won't be believed. And it gives him time to come up with a better excuse - he was hunting for a misplaced kurta. Anjali disturbed - why did you mention jaydaad and papers ... Shyam asks softly, so isn't all the jaydaad ours anyway? Fishing for some information? But Anjali doesn't give him the answer he wants, so he covers quickly again - jaydaad is his wife and child, that's all he wants. Anjali still not very happy, but Shyam thinks she has swallowed it again.
For once, there is a witness to this conversation - HP.

AR - Shuklaji calls Khushi 'bhabhiji', Arnav still doesn't like :))
SN - I thought Khushi was to do the cooking, and Shuklaji the sourcing only - what happened? Did she teach him her recipes already?
Dia, no logic, remember ... no logic :))
And Khushi has to run to her day job - interpreter for HH (no, not hotwa this time - Hot-tempered Hubby) ... who's already having a tough time telling secretary what he wants. Khushi makes general announcement about her day job, to everyone's confusion ... then runs to attend phone.
From Mr. Roy ... so Arnav snatches phone before Roy can say anything more, and gestures he'll call back later. Khushi wonders what it is that he didn't want to talk about in front of her. Smart girl, picks up all the little things. Now if only she could pick up the tension between HH and TF!

And the Men In Black enter - looking straight out of a Govinda gangster movie :))
Arnav is a little perturbed - can you handle it? Khushi gets nervous at that one ... and starts babbling again ... yes, of course, I will, I can, can't I? have water, no? okay, I'll have water :)) Then sees that MIB look like LG, and gets more confidence - I can handle one, today I'll manage three! Arnav looking at her babbling as though he thinks she's lost it completely!
Again Arnav seeing more and more shades of Khushi - the 'darti hai par karti hai' Khushi ...
Khushi called out by random phone call - why am I mentioning this? Because I caught it only on the second watch ;) - why she was outside to catch the MIB.
And she wonders why the MIB left already, and why they're wearing goggles inside ...

MIB re-enter, Arnav is justifiably flummoxed at the cartoons in front of him ... Khushi bursts in, huffing puffing (all this definitely made more sense on second watch ;) - so cv's had done a decent job after all!)
Khushi's one liners again - 'he can't speak, but it doesn't make so much of a difference ... vaise bhi he doesn't talk too much, today he won't talk at all. No big deal!'
If this had been a serious deal, I would have been tearing my hair out already at her idiocy ... I was, on first watch! :))
So Khushi holds forth on everything but the deal - reason for Arnav's silence, the price of vegetables, her dabba service ... ending up by presenting her cards ...
Arnav's look of sheer horror ... priceless!!!

Akash distraught - how did Khushi mess up this deal, it was important! The brothers leave to try to salvage the deal ... Akash disappointed with Khushi.

And then the expose ... Sethi brothers ready for the deal, R brothers happy, and KKGSR becomes heroine of the hour ... as the police and EOW officer enter in the nick of time ... and Khushi's flashback shows how she discovered the truth ... the MIB were discussing their secrets in the carpark?! Not very smart of them was it? Well, okay - matches with the general IQ levels of almost everyone else on the show :))

So Akash is very grateful, and a bit shamefaced - he didn't do his homework properly.
"Sorry, Khushiji,  should have known - whatever you do, you do have a reason for it." And to Arnav, he apologizes, and Arnav agrees that anyone can make a mistake.
But he's not so ready to forgive Khushi ... annoyed with her again, what for now?! And Khushi goes blabber-blabber again as she explains how she suspected something blackwa in the dal when the MIB kept their goggles on even in office ...
'You can tell when someone is lying when they don't meet your eyes. Those who are telling the truth always look into your eyes and talk.'

The only problem was that she looked away after saying this - she should have held his gaze for a while longer.
And then she asks - 'what you said to Akash .. do you really agree that anyone can make a mistake? Even you?'
He is not amused ... but that's the first time it has come up ... that Arnav Singh Raizada is not infallible, that he can also make mistakes.

The car journey home ... and Khushi knows why Arnav is fuming ... why didn't she tell him before pulling her stunt ... she explains she didn't have the time, she just called the police and was stalling for time till they arrived ...besides she was having fun with all the business talk! And was missing his What The's :)) And then takes care to remind him his company would have been in trouble without her ... so he can say thank you ... and sorry.

Screech of brakes, car to halt ... Arnav sure abuses his car! Will he say Get Out? Oh I forgot ... he can't! =))

MPN - writing separately - Nani and Payal conspiring about the fashion show. Nani in white dress and simply horrendous blonde wig ... =)) And NP accomplish their mission ... Manorama wants to go for the fashion show with Payal ... AND Manorama forced to call Payal and Khushi by their names ... yippeeee!!! Okay as fillers ... though I felt sorry for Nani with that horrendous get up and wig! But I much prefer this type of saas-bahu track!

Thoughts - Not a very well done episode, the deal make and break had a very amateurish/comic touch - deliberately? The office scenes don't come across as well thought out or very serious - either the initial ones with the bimbo La and her buddies, or the current ones. They have all been kept very light and pretty comic.

Anyway, a few key points from the episode:

For the first time, Khushi points out to Arnav that he can be wrong, he can make mistakes too. He doesn't like it, but it's true. Will he remember this later?

Akash says Khushi always has something thought out in her mind even when she's apparently being completely erratic. Said in Arnav's hearing. Again, will Arnav register this, and remember it later?

Khushi's statement that you can make out when someone is lying or telling the truth by whether they look into your eyes or not.

A seed planted in Anjali's brain about her hubby. Like all seeds, it will take time to grow, if nurtured and watered by more suspicious antics ... or it could be crushed again by some clever manipulation.

Liked that Manorama was forced to call Payal and Khushi by name, and not PS and KBT.

The Roy and papers track - so the Shyam-Arnav track continues.
So a few strings already in place, being pulled slowly tighter and tighter ... but very slowly.

Precap - will wait for episode tonight before I comment :)

Important - I'm rushing to India again today on a family emergency, so am making Friday's post now itself. Hope to catch the repeat episode at 11.30, otherwise will join the discussions tomorrow. Whoever posts the first comment, please give a quick recap of the episode for me - thanks! >:D<

Wed 28/3 - 218 ... Meri Awaaz Bano :))

March 28th Wed

Except for the start of the episode, I didn't mind the rest. The start was :( ... 'fire, fire!!!' Dumbing down Khushi again ... can Payal please tell someone that Khushi has an irrational fear of fire because of her parents' accident or something - at least it would make her panic attack seem logical.
And the way they both ran for the recliner ... if it hadn't been for that very intense Monday fight and Tuesday dance, I would have felt these scenes fitted ... they belonged to the 'getting used to each other but still kicking and screaming about it' phase ... not the sudden escalation we saw the first two days of the week. Maybe the track has been changed quickly after the negative feedback, and these scenes were shot before Sanaya left so had to be inserted.
Or maybe the cv's intend to show that whatever fights these two have, however bitter and intense, they keep rebounding back closer and closer ... somewhat true to life, I have to add ... couple fights can be bitter and loud, and the next minute can be over and done with with everything about the fight forgotten ... though that usually happens after years of marriage when the couple is rock-solid, not with a newly married couple with such a shaky foundation.

So ignore the beginning of the episode, with the bed set on fire ... so Khushi had to overreact and flood the whole bed, so they had to share the recliner ... and the matches got wet, so no candles ... but one last match so she managed to light the coil (and cv's managed to non-blooperise the blooper by making it the last match in that box) ... and Arnav's hilarious poses as he tries to adjust his length on his half of the recliner.

But the episode took marked turn for the better with the morning waking up scene .... SHIDDAT ALERT ... a long awaited shiddat ... niharofying biwi as she sleeps early morning ... cv's are definitely visiting this blog!!! :)) Beautifully done ... the waking up cuddled together, his head on her shoulder, niharofying, and then Khushi waking up and her confusion ... the tangling of the MS ...
And then bolti band!
Khushi had some great one liners - takniki kharabi ... khud nahin bol sakte, humein nahin bolne de rahe ...
Shirtless Barun ... for the fangirls? Didn't do much for me ... but then I prefer guys with their shirts on!

Breakfast table scene was cute ... don't blame Arnav for getting irritated! Chai, kadha, gargles, balm ...

And Khushi becomes Arnav's voice ... from Meri Awaaz Suno to Meri Awaaz Bano :))

*edited*
The episode was a decent watch except for the initial dumbing down of Khushi with the 'aag, aag!' ... how else would they have got the bed too wet to sleep, without there being actually too much damage. Am glad cv's are finally adding the touches of Khushi's concern for Arnav - her worry about his hand ... but how come he suddenly toned down his anger so quickly as well, from the burning possessiveness during the dance to the much more patient tolerance? Is he actually seeing that all the gestures, the looks are from Shyam's side, and none from Khushi's? Subconsciously maybe, but even if it's seeping into his subconscious brain, that's a start. And her instinctive shouts of 'your hand!' and then the concern again must be registering somewhere in his subconscious mind too. Unless he's completely slow ... which he isn't. Now all we need is a scene where Shyam gets hurt and Khushi responds with cool impersonal concern, and helps the minimum possible, that too at Anjali's urging, leaving Arnav wondering at the difference. Something like the hospital scene, where Shyam purposely tried to injure himself and Khushi was patently unimpressed, and basically told him not to add to her worries. Shyam won't do it purposely, of course - he's smart enough to know that Khushi won't go near him with a bargepole, so it has to be a real hurt.
So the matches are wet, no candle possible, Khushi opens the window to let in light ... and mosquitoes.

Did they actually eat? =)) Good practical couple ... I like that! Long night ahead, you need the fuel!
And romantic night be damned, Bitwa goes back to laptop, Khushi clears up, in very true-to-life imitation of long married couple, completely comfortable with each other ... till the mosquitoes start biting, and she finds one single matchstick to light a coil.
Another little spat when they find the bed is wet ... and both accuse each other ... till they remember why the delay in getting the candle ... quietly acknowledging the mutual blame ... so sharing the recliner wasn't such a difficult compromise after all.
Rather liked Barun's high jump over the table in the dash to the recliner :)) ... Arnav reverts more and more to childhood antics with Khushi around ... but when Khushi innocently suggests they share, no childish thoughts there, Arnav's M is definitely in G :"> :)) ... so he makes it a point to sleep as far away from Khushi as possible.

Not possible ... the episode took a turn upwards from here ... :) Khushi being smaller and daintier can curl herself up in relative comfort, Arnav struggles to fit his length ... moving further and further up ... looking out for her head even in his drowsy state :"> ... till he wakes up in the morning to find himself sleeping comfortable alongside Khushi, his head on her shoulder ... awww, that was such a sweet picture :) :">
And Bitwa lost again in Biwi's beauty ... he niharoes her for a long while (SHIDDAT!!!!)  ... probably cursing himself, why the hell did he ever make that 'six month, marriage in name only' clause - he could have been waking up like this every day for the last month ...  and then gently rests her head against the cushion and moves away to get up ... only to find himself chained to her by her mangalsutra ... boy, was this symbolic or what?! =)) ... even for most non-symbolism readers like me!!!
And loved the next bit, as she also wakes up with the jerk, her eyes blink open sleepily, and then she jerks awake in shock to see him so close - as he just did barely a minute ago ... moves away quickly, blushing with embarrassment, only to be jerked back to him by the same mangalsutra ... tries to disentangle it, but not even looking at it, her eyes keep going back to him, his are fixed on her face ... and his hand goes to help her, as she is so completely distracted that she can't disentangle the chain ...

What a difference from the time of the grihapravesh ... when her earring got stuck in his coat, and he brusquely all but wrenched it free ... here he helps her free the chain gently, tenderly ... and Khushi is all confused ... 'I didn't ... do this ... it's not my fault ... you came into my space ...'

And the comedy again, but much better this time ... Arnav starts to rebut indignantly ... 'and how about your feet ...' only to find himself struck dumb ... literally =)) And both are baffled ... why isn't his voice coming out?
He rushes off to gargle ... she wonders ... what happened to him?

And KMH again, in all her Bali illusion glory ... bed tea in Bali in Dilli ...
Khushi has had enough ... enough of illusions and dreams, back to reality ... Anjali sees the coil and discloses the reason for Arnav's lost voice ... he is furious, Khushi is appalled and apologetic ... she didn't know ...
'Aap mein aur kya kya takniki kharabi hain? ... no, I mean, if you let me know, I'll take care in future, na ...'
Arnav not amused ... but me was rofling ... takniki kharabi =))

Anjali upset ... she wanted them to have a romantic night ... duh, Anji baby, a romantic night doesn't necessarily involve talking all night through, you know ... they had the most romantic night they've had so far in their married life. At least they slept on the same bed!

Anji leaves, Khushi very apologetic ... I'm really sorry, I never knew ... okay, to make up, you get the bathroom first today, for as long as you like ... :))
Arnav still not forgiven her ... stomps into bathroom and bangs door shut ... I'm still mad!
Why was he wearing shoes? Did he actually sleep with shoes on?

And Khushi can't help a small giggle ... another thing to jot down in her list ... I thought she'd forgotten that list :(
Arnav pokes head out of bathroom ... he wants towel ... Khushi purposely misunderstands ... you want to bathe on the sofa?! Oh, you wanted the towel? Why didn't you say so?
Arnav still not amused ... he should be getting used to the teasing Khushi by now. And Khushi isn't embarrassed by sight of shirtless husband ... merely amused :))

Breakfast table was hilarious ... everyone trying to suggest their own remedies for Arnav's voiceless state ... Mami still lost in her Bali hangover ... Mama Mami nok jhoks are far better fillers than the Mami-Payal weepy stuff, good to see the cv's bringing them in more ...

Arnav gestures for butter (I thought that was pretty obvious) ... Anjali clueless, Shyam says that Arnav wants to ask for something but his voice is gone (pretty obvious again) ... Arnav irritated at the conversation, everyone saying the same thing, no one trying to understand what he wants ...
till Biwi does the needful ... and the family gasps in awe at her perfect understanding of her husband (I thought it was pretty obvious myself - if you have toast at breakfast, you'd want butter, but maybe the R's are all around the same IQ level as Anjali after all).

Khushi seats herself (only Payal left standing? two chairs less today) and everyone chimes in again with suggestions to restore Arnav's voice ... til Arnav gets irritated again and Khushi voices it for him ... 'what the ...!' And clarifies 'He's saying that, not me ... he's getting pareshan with all these suggestions, please leave him alone.'
And Arnav is actually surprised at how well she understands him ... :) ... his irritation with all the suggestions, his wanting water, his reactions to Akash ...
Khushi interprets again ... he can write what he wants to say ... Anjali nixes that idea instantly, Arnav's writing is like dead keede makode lying on the page =)) ... Arnav irritated again, he will manage his work ... Khushi interprets every word, and the family almost kneels at her feet (metaphorically) in admiration ... kitni understanding Biwi hai! =))
(I found this a bit overdone ... but it accomplished the purpose!)

And Akash comes up with a brilliant idea ... 'take Khushi with you to office ... she can be your voice for the day.' Shyam immediately plays unwitting Cupid again ... passing butter and signing deals are two different things (implying Khushi doesn't have the brains to manage the latter) ... so Arnav, on the verge of saying no, is immediately, angrily on the back foot again ...
Nani intercedes ... 'nope, there's no difference, it's all about understanding him, and anyway Khushi is going to office for the dabbas' (good, good, so Khushi's dabba business is still running, Arnav didn't nix it, and we might get a decent office track after all ...)
Arnav still undecided .. Khushi decodes, Akash repeats that it's a good idea, Anjali babbles again how well Khushi understands Arnav ... and Arnav gives in ...

And again the scene emphasized that Khushi reserves all her childish behaviour only for Arnav and to a lesser extent, Payal ... with the R family, she is all demure, sambhli hui bahu ... and Arnav is slowly opening up to that very childishness of Khushi to rediscover his own lost childhood.

Roy's assistant delivers papers ... Shyam suspicious instantly ... now what is Arnav up to, after the bank fiasco? Arnav, via Khushi, gets the papers kept in cupboard ... Arnav and Khushi leave, Khushi busy on phone ... but turns instantly when Arnav voicelessly calls her ... much to his shock ... Sweet scene ... both their expressions were so good ...
Khushi sees Arnav's gestures, but gets confused by the harshness of his words ... maybe now, with his words missing from the equation, she will read his gestures and his eyes better ...
And Arnav will see how well she does know him ... everything but his heart ...

And Shyam overplays his hand again ... in ArHi's room, to find those papers ... getting a bit desperate now ... Anjali enters ... and is shocked to see him there ...
Will he get away yet again? What earthly business could he have to be in ArHi's room, when he knows they are both not there? Knowing Anjali and Shyam, he will get away ... for the moment. But hopefully, she will mention it to Arnav later, and start raising his suspicions ... Arnav bitwa ... dimaag ki batti please ... thodi si jalao!!!

Tues 27/3 - 217 ... Lady Pretty in Pink, Man in Red ... Smoking Hot!

Tues 27th March
And we hit 100,000 hits for the blog yesterday - thanks to you all ... you girls rock! :)) :x

Quick update: So Nani's plan takes off - to give the newly wedded couples a Bali honeymoon in Delhi ... again, am glad the comedy and light bits were for the supporting cast and the leads still had the intensity ... again, Sanaya missing in the family scenes :(

Mamaji ... who mama, what mama =)) he rocked! valet cum attendant
Mamiji ... has obviously never been to Bali ... or the cv's thought it was like Hawaii =))
Nani looked wow ...
The coconuts were an authentic touch (yes, I have been to Bali - beautiful place :) )
Anjali looked stunning in the black with her hair up.
Shyam looked quite smart, have to say.

Arnav looked positively drop dead dashing in that red shirt ... dhak dhak ... :">
Khushi looked beautiful ... I liked her in the green suit also ... wish her hair had been left open in front as well. I guess they're keeping that for the real romance.
Akash Payal ... looked nice too, I guess - didn't notice them much ;)

So Khushi makes it clear to Arnav that she's doing all this for Di too ... and only for Di. Will that ring any bells at all?
Arnav actually missed her usual fight back ... I said I'm going to change first ...  didn't you hear? Aren't you going to argue?
The dance was surprisingly very good ... I made the mistake of reading a few comments from IF before watching - complaining about no chemistry ... don't know what they were watching, tbh ... if they were expecting sweet gentle romance, it wasn't there ...
This was anger, passions running high ... and once Arnav caught Shyam watching Khushi, the temperature reached flashpoint ... the junoon built ... laying claim to Khushi in front of the world - she's mine, she dances to my tune and there is not a damn thing you can do about it.
A dark character is Arnav indeed.

In the room ... still at daggers drawn, but Khushi can't help but live in the moment ... this is all so beautiful ... her romantic dream ... roses, candlelight ... and Arnav is still angry, but again, the edge from yesterday is gone ... what are they leading to ...? Locked in the room, no phones can disturb ... and he blows out the candles in a fit of petulance before he realizes that the lights are off ...
And they're actually stumbling back to that same comfort zone every time ... the most bitter of fights, yet somehow they get back to the familiarity they now share ... matches, candle ...

If this was a western show, the UST would have hit the ceiling by now ... as it is, it's crackling pretty close to the surface ... the tension was very obvious during the dance, especially the latter half ... in the room later, it kept waxing and waning ... but the RV's weren't forced ... they were well placed. And thank you, cv's ... only instrumental!!!!! yippeee!!!

But the lounger is on fire ... so does that mean the end of that little interlude already? :(

Will dissect the RV's tomorrow ...

Gargi ... Khushi was in green!!! And Arnav lost his waistcoat!!! Yippeeee!!!! Thank you, cv's!!!! One last confirmation next week - third time will cement it!

*edited*
Episode starts with the brothers waiting under order, for their wives, to enter their own house ... wives appear ... and on cue, so does Mamaji ... 'who Mama what Mama ... I'm driver cum valet cum attendant' =)) Mamaji was damn good!!! ArHi and Payash all flummoxed ...
The foursome enter a transformed RM ... meet and greet by transformed Mami =)) ... coconut water ... and Mami makes a joke about the 'bin badal barsaat' :))
Transformed Nani ... Hotel Manager - graceful and very elegant - Naniji, you rock! :)

Daljeet looking a total knockout ... gives Payal welcome bouquet, and Shyam gives Khushi bouquet of red roses ... :(
Was Arnav too lost in the glare session with Shyam to notice Khushi's discomfort? Or would he have misinterpreted it anyway? And Shyam tries to cover up by saying his RS also loves red roses ... for Arnav's benefit, to convince him of his newly turned over leaf? Or for the rest of the audience, keeping his challenge to Arnav in place? Confusing, as he is apparently trying to convince Arnav he has reformed ... but he couldn't quite hide his gloat there ... is Shyam slipping up again? (Or is the script?)

So Anjali sends them to change ... 'but why? We're in our home?' 'No, you're not, you're in Bali!' And Arnav has no choice but to go along with the play-acting, but with very bad grace.
(SN - BD's for Sanaya all through, except for her closeups ... :( but her expressions stayed perfect, and today her dialogues were in place)

As he grumbles to Khushi in their room ... 'what's wrong with them all, I don't understand what they're doing.'
'They're trying to make us happy, but you won't understand that ... because you never think about giving anyone else happiness.'
No, he doesn't ... because he can't play act like she can ... he hasn't mastered the art of smiling for the world and hiding his pain like she does ... just to keep everyone around her happy. He does what he has to for his sister's happiness, but no one understands him, he can't tell anyone ... not even the girl he loves and hates both.
And he doesn't understand that it's his own happiness which would make his Di the happiest ... which is why she's going to the trouble of doing all this ...

And just a small exchange showing how used he has got to Khushi in his life, around him all the time, arguing with him, fighting with him over every little thing, bringing him back to life ...
'I'm going to change first.'
No reply, she's busy brushing out her own clothes ... sorting, folding ... not arguing ... why isn't she arguing with him? Didn't she hear him? He stops, turns back to repeat ... she didn't hear, obviously, or she would be fighting already ...
'Did you hear? I'm going first.'
'I heard you. Did I say anything? You said I have to do what you say, so all right, I will ...'
But the whole point is to win over her, to challenge her to an equal fight ... a tame victory is not what he wants ... as he suddenly realizes to his chagrin ... he wants to win, but only after a fight ...
And she won't give him one ... she's tired of being bullied again and again ... hand him his victory, and maybe he'll just go away ... and he does ... and she's not sure she likes that either ...

Anjali shows Payash to their room ... now here's a couple very happy for the Bali in Dilli honeymoon - pehle aap, pehle aap ... what a contrast! =))

Payash enter hall ...
Arnav enters ... lookin' hot hot hot ... in open-necked dark red shirt and jeans ... for once, I actually noticed what he was wearing :)) ... which means he looked good!!! :"> :))
Anjali quizzes him about his partner, and Khushi makes her entrance ... nervous, hesitant, beautiful in pink, her eyes shadowed ... and a mesmerized Arnav stares at her as she approaches him nervously ... and they have a moment as they search each others eyes again ...

(the problem with Sanaya is that she always looks stunning, even in her everyday clothes, her face and her complexion are her most striking features, not the makeup and accessories as for most heroines ... so unless she has a drastic makeover, she doesn't look very different, unless she opens her front bangs, then the sensuality comes to the forefront immediately ... I loved her dress though, it was beautiful ...)

Anjali troubled ... 'please try to forget your fights and enjoy this one night honeymoon ... for my sake.' And of course, Arnav cant refuse his sister anything.

Mamaji another Cupid - 'hold her hand, man!' So Arnav holds his out ... and Khushi puts hers in it, still troubled, still searching his eyes, why is she trying to find something when he told her it doesn't exist?

Anjali, exuberant as ever ... dance time ... errmm ... really? While the entire family just stands and watches? (But of course .. how else would we have got that passionate "She's mine and you can just keep your hands and eyes off her" statement dance?)
And Arnav again has to do what Di says ... hand out again for Khushi ... as she hesitates, 'what?' Why aren't you taking my hand?
'You want to tell me what to do every time ... so tell me now. Am getting used to it. You don't ask, you tell. So now you're asking ... I don't know what to answer ... you haven't told me yet.'
This is what you wanted, isn't it? Meek and mild, unquestioning Khushi, obeying your every command ... well, here you are ... you have her ... you won't have the real me, the real Khushi ...

No, he doesn't like this Khushi at all ... he wants his fighter back ... but he himself had banished her ... and the fire starts building ... he wants his Khushi back ... but she wants someone else ... she won't have that someone else either ... if he can't have her, no one else can ...
'Don't start dreaming again ...' don't think I will forgive you ...
Her answer should give him a clue when he starts thinking again ... 'I don't link any dreams with you now ...'
Her dreams were all linked to him ... with him ... and he shattered them ... she will not make the mistake of dreaming again ...
'I'm doing this only for ...'
She completes his sentence ... 'for Di? I know. You're not the only one. So am I.'
She can hide her tears, her pain, her unhappiness for his Di ... because she cares for Anjali.

And they dance ... first only to show the family, to show his Di ... who look on, happy at the success of their plan ... the fighting duo have made up ...
(All said and done, the Raizadas are a very caring family ... all happily took part in this drama, even Mami)
And Shyam continues to gaze at Khushi ... till Nani pulls him and Anjali onto the dance floor as well. Should have got Mama Mami to dance as well ...
The first half of the dance - to the title track ... we finally get to hear the title track ... and BS can move quite well ...
The contrast between the two honeymooning couples - one smiling, looking into each others' eyes, happy, content ... the other, no smiles, tension palpable, physically so close, emotionally miles apart ... as he leads grimly, she follows ... just follows, no trace of her usual joyfulness, her zest for dancing ... in her face or in her eyes ... her emotions dulled, deadened ... not even looking at his face, his eyes ... but his don't lift from hers ... watching her every move, feeling the lifeless obedient doll in his arms, in place of the warm vibrant woman ...

And then he sees Shyam staring at Khushi ... while Shyam's own wife is held close to him, her face, her smile adoring her faithless husband ... and Arnav looks back at Khushi dancing lifeless in his arms ... and the junoon builds ... Khushi is his ... his wife ... dare Shyam or any other man look at her ... she is his, whether she wants to be or not ... a fb of Khushi held in Shyam's arms ... no! She is in his arms, and there she will stay ... his ... only his ...
And  bewildered Khushi looks at him, sensing the change of mood instantly ... the anger, the fire building ... but bewildered as to the reason for the sudden change ... bewildered, and scared as she senses the raging passion leashed tightly ...

And the second half of the dance ... a branding, a stamping of possession, a marking of territory ... mine and only mine ... to have and to hold ... to touch, to twirl, to play, to pull the strings ... and finally pulling her to end where she will always be ... in his arms. Even as the family watches in mixed shock and awe ... at the dance? Or at the raw passion on display?
And they stand frozen for a long moment, recovering ... then she raises her head to look at him ... questioning, searching ... desperately seeking answers ... he did it again ... threw her away, and then pulled her back to him ...

Final step ... locked into their room, no lights, and no mobiles ... no lights, no way out.
Payash continue their romantic evening happily ... they were actually cute ... progressing to laughter and teasing ... okay, that's enough for them ;)

Back to ArHi ... Arnav stumbles against a table, Khsuhi shows her concern, then covers up instantly ... Khushi wants to eat, tells Arnav to eat too, to have enough stamina for fighting ... (change of mood suddenly ... was this shot earlier and the storyline changed, because the angst all but vanished)
He blows out the candles ... and then discovers there's no lights ... as usual, creating the problem, and then looking for a solution ... they discover they are locked in. Good thing they already started sharing the room. And forgetting their quarrel, they go back to some kind of comfort zone ... we need matches, ok, let's look ... found them ... I'll get a candle ... and a trip fall onto the bed ... (with a lighted matchstick that has to have set some kind of record for longevity and sturdiness =)) )

Again an instrumental RV (thank you, cv's) and not a very long one ... because while Arnav is lost in the sight of Khushi by firelight, Khushi sees the burning matchstick and yelps out 'your hand' ... flinging it away ... another small RV as he helps her up, and she takes his hand, this time much less hesitatingly ... and that matchstick sets another record as it manages to set fire to the recliner ...

Thoughts - The ArHi story seems to be back on track, and I feel that the MU is getting closer to being sorted out. The feeling I got today - Khushi is trying her best to shut Arnav out of her life, because he has given her nothing but pain. In yesterday's episode, he told her to give up on her dreams, they would never come true. Today he repeated it. When she believes it, that will be the day he will get to know the truth - and it will be too late. Because then it will be her turn to not believe a single word, a single romantic gesture. And his junoon will be to win her back. Will she know what he thought about her and Shyam? Maybe - and that will further break her and worsen her mistrust ... because she won't know it was Shyam who put the thought into Arnav's head.

The dance was about Arnav showing Shyam that Khushi belongs to him, and Shyam will never get her. Again cv's are painting Arnav very dark here - true, he has an excuse that he thinks Khushi loves Shyam, but that is not uppermost in his mind at the moment, it was all about - you want her, but she will never be yours, because I will make sure of that, I will keep her chained to me. Similar to the thoughts Shyam has - whether Khushi cares for him or not, she is his, and he will have her one way or the other, even by destroying her life. So both men are objectifying the girl ... without bothering about her own wishes, her feelings, her desires ... Shyam is okay, he's the villain, but for Arnav, this is lengthening his RTR even more, and painting him a very dark grey. That's why I said this episode showed him to be a very dark character - his back story has to be really well thought out to justify this level of mistrust and angst and dark passion.

I really want a screaming match between Arnav and Khushi at some point, when she points this out to him, preferably after he confesses his love ... that he never gave her feelings a thought in all this, never asked her even once, ... that he tried her, judged her and punished her without a single chance at defense ... and this is not love. And she doesn't want it. More and more, a separation where Khushi walks out and Arnav has to beg her to come back is becoming essential. And she has to refuse to return - she will come back only for Anjali's sake, not for Arnav ... thereby proving to Arnav that she would never, ever have harmed Anjali willingly or knowingly - Anjali's sleazeball husband falling for Khushi was not in her hands or under her control.

To my mind, after this episode, it makes more sense for Arnav to discover the truth ... after Khushi's distrust of him has been cemented and she has buried her feelings for him all over again. For Khushi to discover the truth will not take the story forward in any meaningful way - what will she do? He has decided not to believe her ... how can she convince him? And knowing that he could believe such a thing about her, that she would willingly break up a marriage, that too, his sister's ... would she even want to try? If at all she does discover the truth, then again I want her to walk out ... and let him discover the truth himself. In both scenarios, therefore, once Khushi finds out what Arnav thought of her, there has to be a separation with her leaving him. That will be the real 'saansein ruk jayengi' moment ... and the realization of Khushi's words in the temple ... when his realization comes that he misjudged her, she will not be there.

Cv's, dear Cv's ... did you put Khushi in a green suit for those first few minutes just to give us our ishaara? Thank you, CV's ... can we have Khushi in white next week for a final confirmation, please? Tougher one, because Khushi doesn't usually wear white - for the morning pooja, maybe?

Mon 26/3 - 216 ... We Go On Hurting Each Other, Making Each Other Cry

Mon 26th March

Quick edit ... Nani, you rock! You dance, you play Holi, you drink bhaang, you encourage Khushi to go into business, and now you remember what the youngsters have all forgotten - a honeymoon!

Thankfully the 8 year old Khushi has gone, and the young woman we love is back - the one capable of feeling, thinking and getting hurt. But she can't think of hurting others at all ... her views on Shyam are not colored by what Arnav thinks, they are only her worry about how hurt Anjali and Arnav will be when they get to know what Shyam is like ... because her own conscience is clear as far as Shyam is concerned. She has not yet connected the dots that anything she did could have hurt Di ... when all her her thoughts and actions have been to prevent that hurt from happening.

What has she done? Not told Anjali the truth about Shyam. Broken off her engagement as soon as she knew Shyam's true face. Tried her best to cut off all relations with him, avoid him, even when he has been running after her. If Arnav knew this, would he accuse her of hurting him, or his Di? At best, he would say she should have told him.
And if she even thinks for a moment whether Arnav knows, the fact that Shyam is still in the same house, very much married to Anjali would negate those thoughts, because she knows Arnav's temper, his fierce protectiveness for Di, and she knows he would throw Shyam out as soon as he knew the truth. In a way, she is protecting Di's marriage from Arnav's anger as well as from Shyam's own infidelity.
So that is why she doesn't immediately connect Arnav's anger with her and Shyam's infidelity. Because she has no idea about Shyam's lies ... she probably doesn't even dream Shyam could fall that low. Remember that after her marriage, Shyam has been concerned about her welfare, her well being, whether she was forced, is she all right. She can't think that he would deliberately feed this lie to Arnav knowing it would make Arnav hate her and mistreat her. And she can't also dream that Arnav would ever marry her if he indeed thought that way. Why would he marry a woman who was wrecking his sister's marriage? Why would he marry a woman who his BIL loved, whatever said woman felt for BIL ... the logical thing, as we said, would be to get rid of that woman, to send that woman as far away as possible.
She doesn't know Arnav isn't operating on logic here.

Hence Khushi's cluelessness today made sense to me. Thank God that Khushi is back, whose thoughts I can read again :)
And I was glad to see the more intense ArHi confrontations back - although Sanaya shot a lot of the pool scene solo  ... there was a disconnect in the dialogues at the start. But as always in intense scenes, her expressions were bang on - both of them were.
Did Arnav's memory take a break today? What happened about remembering the Holi confession? Or did Di's words and the memory of the terrace scene overshadow that memory?

Shiddat granted - short piano instrumental RV ;)
Shiddat half granted - wanted to see the SBB scene, got part of it ...

Shyam tries to make mischief - overplays his hand.
Why would any sister want to interfere in husband-wife quarrels? Whatever they're doing, it's between them - made very clear when Khushi kept denying that anything was wrong ...
So Anjali realizes something was wrong ... Nani, as usual, comes up trumps - send them to spend some time together. What a brilliant idea, Nani ... and as far away from KMH as possible!
Arnav cancels honeymoon ... but of course. Was he a bit upset that Khushi also didn't want to go?

I actually loved that she wanted to move out to the poolside again ... as though telling him, don't spare even a shred of humanity or sympathy for me, I don't want it. Fiesty Khushi back :)
So Arnav gets the recliner. Shiddat granted - he moves into room. :) Why didn't he change clothes before sleeping?

*edited*
A song by the Carpenters for ArHi today -

All my love,  I give gladly to you
All your love, you give gladly to me
Tell me why then
Oh why should it be that
We go on
Hurting each other
We go on hurting each other
Making each other cry
Breaking each others' hearts
Tearing each other apart ...

Episode starts with Khushi engrossed in work, Arnav stomps in ... uff, this man has never learned manners in his life ...or maybe he's just too possessive about his wife. End your call, clean my room ... and wrench off the bt when she doesn't listen straightaway. And you expected her to comply ... tut tut, bitwa still doesn't know his wife ... of course she won't take his orders lying down ... tries to wrest the bt out of his hand (in an acceptable replay of the SBB scene, except that he didn't pick her up after ... ok, we will wait - half shiddat done) ... and a small rabba ve, only instrumental (this shiddat complete, thank you cv's :) ) ... as they are both getting more and more used to the sheer physical proximity that sharing a room entails. And they have to get used to it, to more and more close encounters of the RV kind ...

Khushi uses the services of Anjali to get her bt back ... and adds that she has achieved her life's desire, so now she can die in peace. Anjali says 'aapko hamari umar bhi lag jaye,' ... and Arnav upset at her words. 'Don't talk about dying, Di, I can't stand it and you know it.' And Khushi sees again his love for his Di - well, she can understand that completely, Di is so sweet and loving.

And as Anjali leaves, Khushi tells Lakshmi how nice Anjali is ... and Arnav sees red ... here his Di is so loving to Khushi, and there Khushi is betraying her love, her trust, by asking Shyam to break up their marriage ... he's had enough of the playacting! How can she do it, how can she be so two-faced?!

Shyam in the meantime wants his watch ... so he also uses the services of Anjali ... The actual two-faced one playing on his gullible wife's trust and love, playing the sympathy card ... noble, sacrificing soul, he will manage with a broken watch ... not letting on that his BIL has stopped his allowance, which might lead Anjali to question Arnav, but just saying he doesn't have the money ... so of course, Anjali steps in promptly, and Shyam gets his watch.Another triumphant look ... Saale sahab, I'm always two steps ahead of you.

Khushi is baffled ... what suddenly made Arnav so angry?
Anjali is his Di ... not Khushi's. He won't let anything happen to her, whatever Khushi might do.
Even more baffled ... 'what did I do?'
And he remembers the terrace hug again ...
'Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean that I don't know anything.'
And that's what she wants to know also ... what does he know? Why won't he tell her what's biting him? What is driving his anger?
'Keep your voice down!'
'I won't! And what of the pain you give me?'
Out into the poolside ... (am totally confused, why go out if he wanted to keep their battle private? Won't it be easier to overhear outside?!)
'Khushi, keep your voice down!'
'But you always do one thing, Mr Arnav Singh Raizada ... to give hurt, to cause pain ...'
(Disconnect in dialogues here ... am sure this was shot separately by Sanaya)
'Because that's what you always deserve ...'
And she is baffled and distressed again ... what did she ever do to deserve this much of hatred?!
Shyam passing by overhears the next, and is ecstatic ... yes, he has succeeded in driving a huge wedge between them ... their fledgling story, whatever it was, will never take off now ... their marriage will break ...

'Whatever happens, you deserve it all ... and even worse will happen, believe me ... I don't know what's going on in your mind, but what you want, you will never get!'

All she wanted was some love, a place she could call her own, somewhere where she belonged ... and this man ... was that so wrong of her? Her eyes show her heartbreak ... all over again ... 'I can't believe you are the same man who ...'  ... why did she even dare to dream about him ... even for an instant ...?

And her tears affect him again, but he won't let them ... she is faking them all, he knows her real intentions, he heard the damning words himself ...  so he won't believe a single word she says in her defense now ... neither will he let himself get swayed by her tears ... he will not allow them to weaken him ...
So even if Khushi does find out the truth of the marriage, he will not believe her ... which probably means she will find out the truth soon enough ...
And she is broken all over again ... again he's done the same thing ... hurt her, crushed her ... and not even told her why ...
'No ... I won't waste my tears on you again ... not on such a stone hearted man ...'
Stone hearted? She broke his heart and she calls him stone hearted?!
'Enough!" ... he slams the door shut on her hand ... and as she cries out in pain, he turns back in instant contrition ... but she wants none of his sympathy now ...
The same heavy background beats of RV from the terrace scene ...

'No! ... I don't need your sympathy, your care ... this what I'm worth, aren't I? This is what I deserve? So let me suffer ...'
And he sees her bruised hand, her tears, and despite his vow of a minute ago, he can't stand either ...

"We go on hurting each other, making each other cry, breaking each others' hearts, tearing each other apart ..."

And Shyam brings a worried Anjali, feeding her fears all the way ... there is something wrong between ArHi, they're fighting ...  their marriage is not working out ...
Khushi freezes at the sound of the voice, and moves out instantly away to the poolside, to hide her tears ... a worried Anjali moves to her and Khushi manages a smile ... Shyam feeds more fuel to the fire by insisting he heard a quarrel, and asks Khushi if she's all right ... feeding Arnav's rage even more ... again Khushi manages a smile, and Arnav makes an excuse for raised voices ... everything is all right, he won't let anything go wrong ...
A brief exchange of glares between Arnav and Shyam, missed by Khushi as she struggles to remain calm in front of a worried, still questioning Anjali ... and KMH couple leave as Khushi sends Arnav a look full of hurt, disbelief, upset and pure heartbreak ... why is he doing this to her?! Why won't he tell her? Tell her her crime, and at least give her a chance to defend herself?!

Anjali is finally convinced that there is a problem in the ArHi marriage ... let's consult Nani. Shyam satisfied ... Nani might take a decision for a separation.
Mami-Payal and fashion show ... their meeting broken up by call from Nani ...

And Shyam's plan backfires again ... Nani gives Khushi the status of senior Raizada bahu :) ... and in her wisdom, decides ArHi need some alone time ... Naniji, I bow to thee! Thou art so wise! =D> Definitely some alone time ... away from all the KMH's in their lives!
So Nani has decided ArHi and Payash need a honeymoon ... and Shyam has been deputed to organize it. Another googly ... this time from Nani ... and Shyam is frustrated again. :))

SN - I love Bali!
Nani and Anjali think Khushi is worried about her business - and reassure her - that's the advantage of having a partner - Shuklaji will manage. (So for the time being, Khushi's business continues)

And when Arnav returns later at night, Khushi tells him she doesn't want to go for the honeymoon, he tears up the tickets and informs her he has already cancelled it ... and she says thanks for doing the needful, she's grateful.
"We go on hurting each other ..."

And she makes for the poolside ... she doesn't want any favors from him ... besides, she can handle the poolside better than he can ...
And after sleeping out himself, he realised how very uncomfortable it was, and he can't actually do that to her again ... (so that's what the wry neck was for?)
But of course, neither will say so ... admit to caring about each other? Impossible!

So the next shiddat done ... they both share the room for the first time ... she keeps the bed, and he gets the recliner ...

And Shyam tries adding some more fuel to the fire ... and again it misfires ... Nani has another plan. So what if Arnav isn't free to go out of town? He has to come home, doesn't he?

Good things - the comedy was kept for the supporting cast, the leads got serious again, and Shyam got busy with planning .. which always means that ArH will progress another step. They already did one step today - sharing the same room. Forgot - Payash are resigned to the cancellation ... they want to go with respective siblings :))

So some movement today in story ... Arnav will not believe anything Khushi says - words or deeds. Despite her confession? Despite her evident love for Anjali and Nani? Despite everything he has seen about her in the past? That one scene burned into his memory so strongly that nothing else can seemingly dislodge it.
So what will it take to convince him?

Shiddat Se Maango ... Wishlist for the week

Whoops, sorry, girls, and thanks for the reminder - here is shiddat list for the week!

My first - let Arnav's dimaag return from vacation ... as Khushi is off on hers ;)

Shiddats granted - Khushi moved into bedroom ... yippeeeee!!!! :)) Arnav moved out
So automatically the next shiddat is - Arnav moving into bedroom - and Khushi staying there ... koi shaq?!!! =))

Khushi did start thinking about Shyam ... so next shiddat is ... let her think some more!!! Bitiya ka dimaag thoda slow hai!

ODG thinking about finances at home - we did a get a one-liner, so I'll take that as a start  - so again ... let her think some more ... and let the business venture be about that. Let her tell Arnav that she needs to earn for her family, she can't expect him to support them all. Thoda Bitwa ka dimaag click kare ..

Cv's use their brains ... a big SHIDDAT for that one ... now that the euphoria about SPA is over :)) Let's get back to the story please ... and the love.

Can I dare - Bitwa gets wind of her plan to be thrown out and tells her it's not going to work ... so Khushi abandons it. No more two year old stuff ... she starts thinking of some other way to get him to spill the beans.
Khushi ... *MIG alert* ... ever thought of seducing your hubby?

SPA Awards night

24th March Sat

Posting the uncut videos here - with ArHi moments alone - This has the first 'in the window' segment, the introductory dance and Sanaya's dance, as well as Barun receiving his Naya Sadasya award and SaRun receiving their jodi awards

Longer one with all ArHi clips -
Both videos courtesy shybabe from IF- I haven't seen the second one yet, don't know whether it has Barun's hosting or not.

Some random comments -
Sanaya dances DAMN well ... liked the little clip of Buaji doing that vaara phera thing and she and Nissar admiring her dance. Whatever dance reality shows I have seen, the judges always comment that expression is a huge part of dance and she really has that in spades - she dances with full verve and enjoyment. My mom fell in love with her when she did those three dances in IPK at the sangeet. Buaji did that vaara phera thing again when SaRun won the Jodi award.

Barun really should take some dance lessons - it will be good for him as an actor. And we might get to see some SaRun/ArHi stage performances. His hosting was okay - he looked a little bored and not with it at times. Not surprising - pairing him with Kokila? Really?!Who had that brilliant idea?! The only time he spoke fluently was when he was talking about Khushi and how long she takes to get ready :))

Really like the way the entire team is so bonded together, they seemed to be having a whale of a time and enjoying themselves.
Parts of SaRun's acceptance speeches were edited - where Sanaya thanked Gul for the concept of Arnav and Khushi :(

Seemed like Hina Khan (Akshara of YRKKH) was expecting the favourite beti to go to Sanaya ... as were lots of people ... and she was also expecting the favourite jodi to go to ArHi, Virat Manvi were a little disappointed ...
Cute how the IPKKND team is friendly with Ridhi, Akshay's sister - Ridhi was so excited that her brother's show won the Favorite Jodi award ... and that little snippet of Ridhi running away with the trophy and Sanaya chasing her was adorable! I seem to remember Barun and Sanaya had attended Rakesh's birthday do with Akshay.
More people happy with the Jodi awards ... Saanchi and Sandhya. Virat Maanvi were again hoping for it - this was also by voting.

Sanaya should be invited next to host if she can do a mix of English and Hindi - she is so very confident and articulate on stage! And not over-awed by Bollywood heavyweights :)
Loved the way Sanaya, Akshay and Daljeet were on their feet during Nani's dance - Sanaya dancing, Akshay singing along :)

Lots more people have posted videos, I will add all the links, as I have no idea who has posted what ;) I'm looking for clips with all the nominations, and the clips of Sanaya dancing along with Nani.

This will take a while - adding all HQ links of SPA, including the Red Carpet.

Okay, this made me laugh, when Supriya was introducing the Favorite Jodi by saying that people bless their newlyweds by saying may you be like Suraj-Sandhya, Gopi-Ahem, Krishna-Pratigya - am betting nobody says be like Arnav-Khushi - not right now =))
Nominations are in this part - result in next.

SPA 2012 - part 15  - Favorite Jodi :) :) :) ArHi - Koi shaq!!!
Cute parts - BS runs to mike, says, let me start talking, she won't let me talk, Sanaya says, yeah let's see how much you talk, and BS promptly goes ahh, huuh ... and raises his hands in thanks when she takes over! And Daljeet gesturing "thank us!!!" =))
Last note - I know people are raving about BS walking off talking on the phone, I didn't find it cute. Or polite. Unless it was an emergency.
Liked the last shot of Anjali, Mami, Shyam and Khushi on stage :)
Pity Daljeet didn't get an award - she deserved one too.And loved how the entire IPKKND team was on their feet when the Jodi awards were announced - what a great team!

One last video - by Unnati - this has ALL the IPKKND moments including Nani's dance, Shyam and Manorama awards, as well as the three ArHi awards.

Fri 23/3 - 215 ... KKGSR Catering Inc. - edited

Fri 23rd March

My title sounds much better than KKGSR Dabba service - I think Khushi should change the name of her business. =))

Have absolutely NO clue where they're going with this track :)) ... but I much prefer it to the '100 ways to irritate ASR' and the 'supposed to be comic but aren't' saas bahu sagas ... am always a fierce proponent of working women.

Khushi should have informed Nani before starting off ... good thing she did immediately after. She should also have informed ASR or at least given him a clue that his wife is starting a catering business in his own office, but since his first remark was about his status, and not about her working, am willing to give her leeway on that one. Besides she did give him clues, he just didn't pick them up! ASR acted khadoos as khadoos could be ... perfectly willing to sabotage her fledgeling business because of his peeve ... redeeming quality - that he stopped when Shuklaji informed him he was Khushi's new partner (at least, I hope he does stop the cancellation).
However, it's really no business of Arnav's where his staff choose to eat ... or his brief to decide for them. He provides the canteen premises, staff can decide whether they want to eat there or elsewhere. And which boss actually bothers? Oh, I forgot, it was only because it was Khushi involved ... :))

Liked the way Khushi felt bad for the caterer and found an instant solution to both his problem and her own - has she learned this art of managing people from Arnav? Unlikely! =))

Loved Nani and her attitude - everyone has a right to stand on their own feet and be independent =D> Bravo, Nani!!! Anjali and Manorama are perfectly happy to sponge off Arnav ... well, Anjali is, and so is her husband ... Mamaji and Akash both do work.

And the other big progress - Arnav starts to take some baby steps against Shyam. Thank God his brain has started the return journey from Alaska =))
Blooperrrrrr ... which bank will tell you account balance of an account NOT your own on the phone?!

Mami-Payal fashion track starting ...

Best parts - bhabhiji Annapurna hain, sir! =))
and bhabhiji ... 'That's Ma'am for you, young man." :) Aww, he still doesn't forget she's his wife, does he? Redeemed slightly! :)

*edited*
First a requeim for our shattered dreams ... :(( Khushi didn't do any massage or tel maalish TLC for Arnav's wry neck - so why was it even required? Did Barun actually have a wry neck those 2-3 days?

So episode starts with baffled Arnav entering room (where did the chimes go?) to find businessman ki patni in full flow on phone - since she doesn't have Bluetooth, she makes do with headphones ... I first thought she didn't notice Arnav, but no, she completely ignores him ... this guy's ego is going to get a severe battering here :)) ... as she carries on blithely with her all-important phone conversation ... ends it ... and then fires an artillery of questions at a completely baffled Arnav ... what's that thing in your ear called? Where to get it? How much does it cost?
Arnav's reply ... a very intelligent sounding "Huh???!!!" =))
Gives up on husband as a bad job ... he doesn't know anything ...
'Forget it, I'll manage ... ok, where can I get cards printed?'
More intelligent replies from Arnav, "What cards?"
More smart aleck answers from Khushi, as though to show her HHWS that contrary to his claims, he doesn't have the monopoly on brains ... "wedding cards, sweetie! We really never got a chance to ... business cards, dumbo! What do you think?! Where can I get those made?"
This time no intelligent replies, just a very baffled completely blank stare ... has she totally lost it?!
Khushi gives up on husband completely ... "Forget I said anything ... I'll ask jijaji ..."
Leaving him totally lost ... bluetooth, business cards ... what the * is going on?!

Poor guy ... did he really think that marrying Khushi to get her out of the way of his Jijaji was the ideal solution? And that she would sit like a good subdued, meek timid wifey in one corner till her six months punishment was over? If he's not ready for Bedlam in six months, I will eat my hat!

Next morning - the filler scenes start ... Nani, Anjali, Payal discussing baby ... Payal shows some discomfort at Anjali gushing over Shyam's loving husband qualities ... thank God, I thought she had developed complete amnesia! Mami's oneliner - I can go as KBT, I just need crocodile tears as my costume =))

Arnav bitwa worried about missing Biwi ... what happened, bitwa? Was the morning a bit too peaceful for you today? ;) He's probably worried, and rightly so ... she's missing so early in the morning, what is she up to now? :))
SN - if they wanted fillers without Sanaya, why couldn't they have shown Arnav waking up in the morning and prowling around his room, wondering why the TV was off, why the bathroom was empty, why Lakshmi was missing ... would have loved a scene of Arnav mumbling 'shut up, Khushi' automatically in the morning, and then realising Khushi wasn't there with her early morning incessant bakbak ... Would have been fun to see Arnav already getting used to having Khushi around all the time.
No one knows ... so Khushi did her cooking in the AR canteen apparently, not in the RM kitchen ...

AR employees seem to be all recently imported from Ethiopia :) Scrambling over their lunch boxes as though they haven't eaten for days ...
And baffled look back on Arnav's face as his employees thank him ... 'thank me? What for?'
(SN - Baffled look is getting semi-permanent residence on Arnav's face these days ... keeping up with Lucknow Express and her antics is not easy :)) )
For arranging for his wife to supply them with the home-cooked food they loved yesterday, Arnav bitwa ... they don't know you haven't a clue about it!

Arnav loses his baffled look temporarily, as he switches to something more under his control ... stopping his Reptilewa BIL's allowance .. Shyam needs to look after his wife himself ... you woke up to this now, Arnav? After how many years ... three?! ... Oh well, better late than never.

Employees and erstwhile caterer have a run-in - better, cheaper food is available, they don't want Shuklaji ...
The baffled look is back on Arnav's face .... which means Khushi has to be involved somewhere =))

He doesn't even recognize the caterer ... 'who the hell is this?'
Hilarious scene between Completely Baffled Arnav (CBA for future reference, as it seems this look is here to stay for a while =)) ) and crying caterer ... 'How could you do this without even telling me?'
CBA - 'who the hell are you and what is your %#*& problem?'
CC - 'no one wants my food, everyone's got a new lunch service ...' :(( :((
CBA - 'so what did I do in all this?' ...
(SN - Implicit in this question is the statement - It's none of my business who gets their food from where ... I have nothing to do with it.)
CC -  'you got married, Sir' :(( :((
CBA - 'I got married? ... So what problem do you have with that?' (I thought I was the one with all the problems =)) )
CC - boo hoo hoo :(( :(( :((  ... leaving the room like weeping SP bahu ...
CBA - 'what is everybody's problem???'

Shyam in the meantime busy arranging his next expensive purchase ... (actually first time they have shown him doing this, this should have been brought in much earlier, when all the Shyam torturing Babuji drama was going on) ... and he finds to his fury that Saale Sahab has stopped his allowance ... It's gone instead to his wifey's solo account, where he cannot access it.
Blooper - which bank would give account details over the phone?!
But Shyam is very angry and frustrated ... good, good ... you thought you had fooled ASR?
Err, RRR ... injustice? Did you sign up to be ghar jamai for ever, is that why you're so frustrated? Or did ASR do this automatically when you got married? How could he be so foolish? Or did you sweet talk  him - or Anjali - into doing this?
So one good thing of Khushi coming into Shyam's (and Arnav's) life ... the R's will get rid of a free wheeling SIL ... and not before time!

Khushi comes huffing and puffing to deliver Arnav's lunch ... and wonder of wonders, his brain is still working, putting together the pieces finally ... new lunch service, thanks from his employees, CC ...
LBA - (Less Baffled Arnav) - 'So you've done this?'
BBK - (Baffled Busybee Khushi - her turn now) - huh? what did I do now?
Trying desperately to keep calm Arnav - Sit down
When she didn't obey instantly, losing his calm a bit ... Baitho!!!
Tired Khushi (this catering stuff is tiring ... but not so tiring that she can't talk) ... 'ok,  so much ... I need the break, you know ... been on the go since the morning ... woke up, shopped, cooked, packed, served ... so much work ... so much still left ... oh dearie me ... how do I manage?'
GTA (Gritted Teeth Arnav) - 'What the hell are you doing?'
Lost in her own business world Khushi - completely ignoring Arnav ... 'need to order supplies for tomorrow, today's are finished, carrots weren't good ... that vendor toh ...'
GTA (rapidly losing whatever little control he had left) - 'What the hell are you doing, Khushi?!'
Khushi - very brightly and chirpily  - 'doing? Don't you know? (Darling he'd know if you had told him, right?) I'm doing business ... dabba business.'   ... I thought you'd got the gist yesterday when I said businessman ki patni ...

GTA - what's the need for you to do any business? Didn't you ... (pause) ... think about my image?

What was the pause about? Was he upset about her doing business. Or about her not asking him first? Or about her not asking him for money if she needed it?

She's too lost in her own thoughts ... the name, the cards ...
He has to get up and lean over her physically to get her attention ... 'Listen to me. There will be no dabba service in my office ...'
(Not by you, is what he meant ... he had no objection earlier when he saw the dabbas, or when he spoke to the caterer.)
She still doesn't hear him ... the new name will be ...
Finally it strikes him ... why people usually go into business ... and he's slightly shame-faced, he's never given her needs a thought before this ... 'look, if you need money ...'
Vaah, Arnav bitwa, you give regular allowance to your lawyer BIL, and don't think about an allowance for your own wife?

No, she doesn't, thank you very much ... 'because you keep account of every penny, so I'll earn my own ... and I can ...'
'No one is interested in your dabbas ... not me, not anyone else ...'
She exposes his lie straightaway ... 'yeah right, you weren't the one licking your fingers yesterday, were you? And by the way, you can eat the sweet today.'
'Khushi ...'
She jams bluetooth into her ear purposefully, glares at him and leaves. Shades of ASR here.
Thought he kept his cool very admirably there ... but Khushi was too lost in her business world to listen ... Was he actually starting to feel a little guilty there that he hadn't given her needs a thought before this? Why she even needed to do this? Why she hadn't felt it necessary to ask him, tell him, talk to him - did that hurt?

Khushi's new champion, CLJ informs CC that Khushi bhabhi's food is better and cheaper than his ... but she feels bad about the caterer's complaints ... for the first time realizing she did wrong by him ...

Back home ... R ladies busy keeping themselves busy in needlework and fashion shows ... Khushi comes rushing in, all full of beans about her new venture ... and belatedly asks Nani's permission ...
Anjali asks what her business is all about, how can she manage? Khushi tells her what she did ... yes, she can manage.
Anjali - but why do you even need to work?
Yes, right, why can't you live off your husband and my brother ... we all do it, including my husband. (Just struck me, does Anjali know Arnav supports Shyam? Will give her slight benefit of doubt till I get an answer to that one.)
And LOVED Nani here ... yes, she does ... look at how happy it has made her. How she's enjoying herself.
Mami says - what will society say?
Nani says, she never bothered about society when she got Mami as DIL, she's not going to bother now. And if Khushi wants to work to keep herself busy, or to earn her own money, she should be free to do it. Everyone has the right to stand on their own feet.
Bravo, Nani! And bravo, cv's. A message worth giving.
And Khushi shares the news of her partner.

Arnav asks his employees why this food ... answer - bhabhiji cooks excellent food ...
'Ma'am.'
That's ma'am to you, young man ... I'm Sir, she's my wife.
Ok, he just redeemed himself a few miles there ...
And lost them again ... you will cancel all the orders you have given her. And don't argue ... nobody questions me.
I am the dictator here.
Again questioned ... by Khushi's new partner ... CC Shuklaji himself :) Bhabhiji is saakshat Annapurna.
CBA is back ... now what does he do?

Thoughts:
In a nutshell - I have no problem with Khushi's working, quite the reverse. Have been wanting for a long time that Khushi should think about working again - she has so many reasons to do so - she has always been working, she has been running the G's house for ages, and she knows her marriage is temporary. But I didn't like the way the cv's showed it, the way she went about it. If she had to start working in a hurry, show her thinking about the reasons she needs to work - and let them not be about returning Rs 300 but about the bigger picture, her bigger problems in life.

She should have asked Nani before she started. She should have told Arnav - because it's his office and he's her husband. Again my objection as with the water fight - let them keep their battles private. And a bone to pick with Arnav too - where he lost the moral high ground he had maintained till now by keeping his patience in the office with Khushi - he lost it by ordering his employees to cancel their orders.

No logic in how and where she got the money.

Cv's seem to have lost their way this week. First the 100 ways to irritate Arnav track, dropped halfway (thank God), only to be replaced by the start up business track, with neither Arnav or Khushi bothered about Shyam. Thank God with Sanaya going on leave, Arnav has started thinking about Shyam finally.
I think cv's got very lazy this week ... and a bit too complacent about Barun's popularity ... forgetting that it's the character ASR/Arnav which is popular, not just the hot guy. And dumbing down Khushi from her chulbuli, yet mature always caring self into a dumb ten year old does not work either ... Khushi's character is the backbone of the show, you cannot tamper with it to this extent.

Sanaya interview with Noreen Khan

Will update later - heard half - damn cute!
Youtube link of the interview

Sanaya interview with Noreen Khan

Will add points as I keep remembering them ...
Sanaya remarking that she is a lot like Khushi ... Sanaya's comment that people told her she couldn't do a lead because she wasn't Indian-looking enough ... and her taking it up as a challenge ... and proving to the world that yes, she can be Indian, talk Indian, walk Indian ... =D> remnds me of the way Khushi faces challenges head on instead of running away from them.

She likes Khushi better than Gunjan, because it gives her the chance to show so many emotions ... she goes through the entire range ... emotional, romantic, funny, silly, good bahu, beti, sister ... just about everything ... a very well rounded role for her.

Her comment that the entire cast is great fun to be with and are like an extended family :) What a contrast to her previous show when they were so obviously in two camps ... am so glad for her that she's enjoying her work so much, even though Mohit is not there ... and that all of them are such good friends.

Barun calls her Sunny ... and treats her like a little brother! =)) So apparently the SBB we saw of him picking her up isn't the only time - he does that all the time!

The unit told her she will rock the Mausam suhana la la la song ... because it required her to sing badly ... Sanaya can do that easily =))

Emotional scenes take a lot out of her ... yes, she really gives them her everything ... and it shows.
She loves doing comedy ... she's awesome at it for sure ... but we love the romance, Sanaya!
She doesn't like the romantic scenes so much because it's no fun doing romantic scenes with someone you don't want to romance!!! Epic ... so typically bindaas Sanaya ... here she's won best jodi twice over with Barun and there she goes, we don't like to romance each other!!! =))
Wonder if that was also to reassure their respective partners ... I can imagine Barun's wife getting slightly insecure about him spending so much time with such a gorgeous girl, and Mohit ditto with her ... and the whole world raving about their jodi. Plus her very good friend is Dhrashti, who had a tough time with GC fans ... and GC's wife had a tough time too ... these guys are sensible, keeping things very clear in front of the media from the start ...

Barun's interview with Noreen Khan - posting this here as well.

Thurs 22/3 - 214 ... Don't Knock the Humble Dabba :)

Thurs 22nd March

There is a system in Mumbai, where dabbavalas, as they're called, pick up boxes of home cooked food and deliver them to office staff. Boxes from the staff's own homes, or prepared by housewives happy to earn some pocket money by putting their culinary skills to good use. The dabbavalas have delivered a few million tiffins at last count without missing a single one. This dabba system is so renowned that it's been used at Harvard Business School as a case study, and Prince Charles on his first visit to India made it a point to meet the humble dabbavalas, and their representative was invited to his wedding to Lady Camilla.
So don't knock the humble dabba ...

And so I liked the episode.
Mainly because many things I was afraid of, didn't happen ... Khushi didn't sell the food, she took it with full knowledge of Anjali (and even Mami), and she distributed it free to the staff. Using the opportunity to set up her business venture ... but not compromising her dignity as Mrs. Raizada ... or even Arnav's ... Anjali, Nani and Mami all knew what she had done ... in fact Anjali was the one who had the idea of taking it to AR.

Secondly ... nothing makes a woman feel quite so satisfied as her husband (and children) appreciating her cooking :) ... spoken from personal experience, and lots of it :) I don't cook often - am fortunate enough to have full time help. But whenever I choose to go into the kitchen, my kids and hubby make it a point to comment and appreciate, and that's what makes it so very rewarding. So I really loved the scene of Khushi feeling so happy watching Arnav eat her food with so much enjoyment.

And how cute was her very spontaneous "What the ...?" =))

Again, am not too sure where this is going to lead ... to Khushi going into this as a business venture? Will she fulfill another shiddat by telling Arnav, "I have to think of my future after I leave RM" thereby jolting him ... and herself into thinking a little further into the future? Will he allow her to go into this as a business venture, or will he stop her? From his slight smile at the end, he seemed agreeable - but then he didn't know what she was thinking about doing. Will she start this ... and succeed at it ... thereby making her more independent? Or will this also fail like her earlier ventures? I really hope not.

Good distribution of screen space, probably getting ready for four days of Sanaya's absence - she is there for the bulk of most episodes ...
Shyam gives Anjali the cot ... so she is going to announce it to the entire house - and to Arnav ...
Mami-Payal ... does Payal speak better English than Khushi? In which case, that's another thing on Khushi's to-do list. Chalo, the fashion show will keep them occupied better than the repetitive saas-bahu scenes which were going nowhere.

Last thoughts - Arnav bitwa is MAJOR Khadoos - his staff is terrified of even eating without his approval. And Akash was really funny, the way he justified - I'm not waiting for pizza - I'm going to eat my dabba - my wife sent it! =))

*edited*
Episode starts with Sanka Devi confiding in her latest confidante - I thought she had made up with DM? I guess Lakshmi has abandoned Nani for Khushi these days :)) And still worrying about returning the Rs 300. A new perspective as to why Khushi is suddenly so keen to return Arnav's money - because he said people who don't return money are cheats, and she doesn't want him to think she's a cheat - his opinion matters tremendously to her. Halwai, seamstress ... ideas abandoned ... then she needs to work off her worry in some activity or she will go mad ... so off to the kitchen to cook ... in vast quantities ... but still no ideas strike her.
Mami praises her salad ... =)) and Anjali and Khushi between them come up with the idea of distributing the mountains of food to the AR employees as their canteen is shut.

First obstacle - the hefty security guards ... charmed by Khushi and the aroma of her food into letting her in ... while the AR employees wait for their pizzas.
Akash lucky fellow gets his wife's dabba ... Arnav, still nursing his sore neck, sees wifey urging his employees to taste the food ... Khadoos Number One, still aggravated by the pain in his neck (both literal and figurative ;) ... the one in his neck and the one in hot pink) ... descends from his Olympian heights to utter an annoyed "what the ..." ... how can she be so chirpy when he's suffering?! Khushi, not daunted in the slightest, includes him in her sunny smiles, tells him to reserve his "what the's" for the missing pizzas and carries on doing a hard sell of her food :))
That beefy security guy salivating and swallowing was hilarious!!!

Arnav glares at his salivating hungry staff, daring them to touch the food in lieu of his missing pizzas, Khushi continues to chirp brightly about jalebis, and the staff is torn between angry boss and their own empty tummies ... empty tummies slowly getting the upper hand ...
Kishorilalji and Chamanlalji are recruited to help her take the food into the canteen =)) KLJ and CLJ suddenly putty in the hands of their boss's wife ... chalo, koi nahin, yaaron ... your boss is putty in the hands of his wife, which field radish are you? =))

Akash gives a barely hidden smile - he admires Khushi's guts to face his brother more than anyone else, I think ... and happily makes for the canteen to eat his dabba ... one speaking glare from Arnav - but Akash has a great excuse - his biwi sent his khana, so he doesn't have to wait for pizza ... pleasing biwi by eating her khana is definitely greater priority than displeasing bro by not eating pizza ...

Arnav furious - why haven't the pizzas come?! Staff nervously call again ...
Akash settles down with his food very contentedly ... small reassuring look at worried Khushi setting out her food dabbas ... and then the door opens and slowly, with very hangdog look, the employees start filing in ... empty tummies finally won the day :)) Arnav discovers his employees in the canteen ... Khushi gives him an exuberant Thumbs Up ... fuming Arnav withdraws ... and Khushi starts taking orders for the next day :)) ... with special orders for CLJ and KLJ =)) now firmly established as her best friends - guess they won't be stopping Mrs. Raizada from entering the office again in a hurry!

And Arnav behaving like spoilt brat again ... or sore loser ... she won this round, so he won't eat her food ... even though Akash tries to persuade him ...
And Khushi, packing up, two dabbas missing ... she goes on dabba hunt ... only to find HHWS busy proving to himself, and to her ... that her food is finger-lickin' good ... :)) eating as though he hasn't eaten for days!!!

Khushi's completely spontaneous "What the .." and clamping her hand over her mouth ... EPIC!!!
Utterly butterly cute!!! :">
And continuing to stand there and watch him quietly, her expressions changing from shocked disbelief to surprise and then pure heartfelt pleasure ... so completely happy to see her HH enjoying her home cooked food so much ... maybe this was subconsciously in her mind ever since he left the house without breakfast and Anjali said the canteen was closed too ...
No wonder cv's are delaying Khushi's realization of love ... the day she realizes it, or the day Arnav changes his attitude towards her, Khushi will not hold out against him for an instant ... she's head over heels in love with him, she's just not allowing herself to admit it in the face of his blow hot blow cold spells ...
He opens the jalebis, she rushes to stop him ... and here's the difference between Khushi and Arnav - he would have gloated over his victory, in fact his guilty look shows that's what he was expecting her to do ... but not her ... her only thought is she could have made something else for him ... she'll do that tomorrow ... And he has nothing to say, so he quickly leaves ...
And this Rabba Ve made sense ... for all the right reasons ... not ArHi, but Khushi and the dabbas ... her happiness that he ate her food and enjoyed it ... sweet!!!

She comes down with the dabbas, the staff praise her food ... but more than their praise, her happiness is because of her husband, and the way he enjoyed her food :)

Mami-Payal and fancy dress competition ... for a sophisticated family, Raizadas have the most crass neighbours and friends ... and Payal finds a new way of winning over MIL ...

Khushi returns happily with her empty boxes, Mami makes another snide remark ...
Shyam gifts Anjali the cradle ... and does he actually feel a little guilty about how easy it is to manipulate his gullible wife? But no, this is all about his plan, and convincing Arnav.

And Arnav returns home, again all businessman mode ... only to find wifey has taken his lessons to heart and is echoing all his lines ... this is the way I work, don't try to fool with me, I'm the daughter of a halvai and the wife of a businessman ...
Cute to see the way Arnav Singh Raizada melts into mush every time his wife claims proudly that she is his wife :"> ... the expression on his face as he watches her talking away confidently on the phone ... indulgent, loving, proud, questioning - what exactly is this mad girl up to now? And this second Rabba Ve was also very much in place :)

Thoughts - where exactly are they planning to take this new venture of Khushi's? Nowhere, I would think ... doubt that he will let her start up a business and become independent ... but the cv's could surprise us yet, by letting Khushi make her way back into the office, in a role that conforms to SP bahu sensibilities ...
